Turn to Matthew chapter 9. I want you to see it. Alright. Matthew chapter 9. And you’ll notice there in verse 36, look in verse 36. But when he saw the multitude, he was moved with compassion on them because they fainted and were scattered abroad as sheep having no shepherd, then said he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is planious, but the labors are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth labors into the harvest.

Do you think that if we had more laborers, we could get more fruit? What do you think? If we had more laborers, you think we could reap more fruit? Isn’t that the point of this? Big harvest, few laborers. Pray we have more laborers, but why? What reason? Get more fruit. Well, wait a minute. If you’ve already predetermined what fruit’s going to be saved Anyway, it doesn’t matter if you’ve got any labors, but if it’s not true, then it means that God is dependent upon people, the labors to reap the harvest.

Now, go all the way to the book of John, chapter four, the Gospel of John and chapter four. See, these are simple verses that sometimes we’ve heard a number of times, but when you put them together and you learn how to think, It can permeate your life. It makes all the rest of it so important, because I need those so I can keep doing what God wants me to do. Otherwise, I’ll get so easily sidetracked. I’ll let the trials of life, the testings, all the persecution, all those things.

Well, it doesn’t matter. And you just get tired, you quit, and so on. But otherwise, you’ll be like Paul. It says that the ministry been so important we faint not for this cause second Corinthians chapter four verse one for this cause we faint not means for this cause we can’t quit. And he says we got some everything that happened he said I can’t stop I can’t quit because it is too important. So here in John chapter four I want you to look down there in verse 35 verse 35 say not ye there are yet four months and then come harvest.

Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, look on the fields for they’re white already to harvest. Why should I unless God wants me to do something about it? But sometimes we don’t want to look and see the lost man. We see everything else. And our own personal problems are so much more important. Did you know that regardless of what problems you as a Christian have, would you rather be a a lost man or a saved man with all your problems.

The lost man’s problem of going to hell is a lot worse than any Christian problem he can ever have. So he makes this statement. Lift up your eyes, look on the field, they’re white already. Already. It’s not like, well, one of these days the harvest will get right and then look into it. Now if the harvest is already right then looking verse 36 and he that reapeth receiveth what God pays soul winners received wages God will pay you to win souls you see that’s one of the best things that you can ever know is God wants to hire you and he’s willing to pay you.

I used to tell the teenagers in ranch. If I offered you a thousand dollars for every person you wanted to Christ, how many of you would believe that God may be leading you in the full-time Christian work? If next week you brought to me a person you led to Christ that week and I would give you a thousand dollars. I would mention to say every one of you here, if you really believe what I’m saying, you’d find somebody doing the week and you learn how to talk to them.

You’d figure out a way. Don’t you think so? It would change your whole life, but you know just because God doesn’t pay me today here Payday is coming Payday someday When we get to heaven and we see all those people that we want the Christ pay days coming Do you think God is a cheap employer? Do you think he’s gonna reward you richly? I mean really that it’s gonna be worth it that God is not poor He owns everything and he’s going to reward you.

And as he says here, and he that reapeth, receiveth, wages, and gather fruit. It looks like I am the one that’s supposed to go and win some harvest and get some fruit, get some product, and God’s going to reward me for doing so. And gather fruit on the life eternal. See the fruit we gain last forever. This is incorruptible fruit. These are people once they trust the Lord have eternal life. And you don’t have to win them but one time.

Once you lead a person to Christ, it can never be undone. I’ve never had to win anybody to the Lord twice. Once is enough. Because God gives them eternal life and it lasts forever. Some people have led to the Lord and I never see again. And then sometimes I’ll lead some people, and it’ll be 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 years later, I find people that I’ve led to Christ. I don’t know about many that, you know, that I don’t know about because they may trust the Lord because they were already your, you know, the TV we had for years.

And I’m talking about, you can make a big impact and know nothing about it. You remember the other day I sent out a newsletter and I mentioned this to a couple of y’all, but I think I mentioned in central. I wrote that one little thing about Curtis Hudson. It was in the sword this week. And it went, it goes all over the world, around the world. Just a simple statement that I made about Dr. Hudson. But in there, I told what the hutter Hudson believed about the gospel.

And it was gospel clear. Lord does that. Lord does that. I don’t have to explain at all. I can’t. But anyway, number 16 here. Do you believe that if we had more labors, we could have harvest more fruit. Well, what do you think? When you read that, it doesn’t look like if we had more people in the harvest, we could reap more fruit, and it does make a difference. Take your Bible, look in the book of Matthew, in chapter 13, Matthew chapter 13.

Matthew chapter 13, look in verse 14. 14, 15, 16, but just look at what it says. This is Jesus talking to those religious Pharisees of his day. And of course the disciples are looking on, but he makes a statement in verse 14. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which sayeth by hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand. Seeing ye shall see and not perceive. Some people can’t see and they won’t hear. But look what he says it.

For this people’s heart is whacked, gross, dull, fat, heavy, and their ears are dull of hearing, their eyes, now get this, they have closed. They reject the message and their eyes, they close so that they cannot see and they cannot understand. So are there people that you can present the gospel to and they refuse to listen to the message? Is that on you or on them? It’s on them. They have a responsibility also. But look what else he says, less at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand.

Shouldn’t they should at any time. So it’s not fixed in concrete that well they can’t be saved because they weren’t chosen. See the doctrine of Calvinism It’s impossible to harmonize with the book. When you read and see these things, I can’t fathom in my mind how could anybody believe that God has already chosen who’s going to be saved and who’s going to be lost? You can’t read the Bible and come up with that. But look what else he says.

He says, but blessed are your eyes for they see and your ears for they hear, but if you compare it just because they want to see and they want to understand. And there’s some people that do not and never will. Also why right here, look here in verse 23. And just notice, when the seed of the sore comes upon good ground, which is the man’s mind. Some men’s minds are a hardest country, and it seemed like all the women married to men were the mind of a man that’s in concrete.

Not really. Let’s say there is some good ground. That’s good ground. So in verse 23, but he that receive of seed into the good ground is he that hearth the words and understandeth it, which also beareth fruit, bringing forth some a hundredfold, sixty and thirty. Not everybody is bringing forth the same amount of fruit. Not everybody brings forth any fruit, but some people a hundred, some sixty, and some thirty. But what does it mean? It means that there are people that can make a difference.

And it’s the person who bears the fruit. Why Why should God reward me for turning many to righteousness, as it says in the book of Daniel 12, if you didn’t do it? People say, well, you didn’t do it. The Holy Spirit did God. The Holy Spirit gave them the faith. Okay. So then the Holy Spirit gets the rewards. What’s He rewarding us for? What we do? Then evidently what we do must make a difference. Why? Reward is for anything.

For work, as he talks about your labor of love, your patience of hope, you’ve been rewarded because of what you’ve done. And Paul says, ye are my crown of rejoicing those that have trusted the Lord. Look at the next statement. Number 17, are we ambassadors for Christ because we have the gospel committed to our trust? You know in one verse, book of 2 Corinthians in chapter 5 verse 19, it makes a statement. I wonder what that statement is. Anybody have a clue?

Yes. With that God was in Christ reconciling the world with himself, not including their trust pastors unto them, and have committed, unto us, the word of reconciliation. And the very next verse is, and ye are ambassadors. We are ambassadors. It means that we represent somebody from another country, and then it goes in there 521, for God hath made him, Jesus Christ, who knew no sin to be sinned for us, but we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

And then there’s this other verse that talks about the gospel being committed to our trust. Where does it say in the Bible that God has committed unto us the gospel? Even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God which tryeth our heart. Is there any verse in the Bible that says that? What’s that Solonians chapter 2 verse 4? It’s a tremendous verse. Look at number 18. Number 18 very quickly. With those who trusted the Lord, where Bob and Peter and the college students went last Friday night, been saved anyway.

What do you think? Well they had been saved anyway. And if they hadn’t have gone, they’d been saved anyway. Would they have been saved anyway that night? You don’t know about any other night and you don’t know the future do you? So you don’t know if they had to went that night and want them to the Lord that night, they may never have heard the gospel. Isn’t that true? It’s possible they could maybe never again ever hear the gospel.

Do you think whenever eternity gets here and we’re in heaven and there’s those 15 people that trusted the Lord that night, you think they are going to be glad that they came over there and gave the gospel that night? Now let’s say when they went over there, they had a flat tire. They didn’t have anything to eat. They were broke within the 10 commandments. They got sick and everything went wrong and they went home that night. Everything fell apart and nothing but trouble, trouble, trouble.

Do you think those people who trust the Lord care anything about what you went through to get the gospel of them? No. But God does. God knows what price you pay and what time you gave up and sacrifice. Those people will never forget it because for all eternity, they’re gonna know I’m here because they came and brought the gospel to that night. And Peter Amato got up here and he gave the gospel and I heard it and I trusted Christ as my Savior.

Yes. And some of that were written in? It ain’t over yet. And if Peter was to die today, his work will still go on because there’s people that will reach some people that will reach somebody else. That one man that I let you listen to this morning on my cell phone, he was all excited. So he got him a couple, now he wants to get some more. And you never know, he’s a very powerful individual. He has a lot of influence, with a lot of people’s lives.

and you have no clue how far it may go. It doesn’t matter, but we do make a difference. You are important. If all this is important, it’s all true. Is this church important? All the ministries important. You know, if I was the devil, no I’m not, but if I was the devil, I would try to find a way to stop this machine, this soul-winning machine. because we’re trying to train and win and train and win and train and win.

The devil ain’t gonna stand highly by and he’s gonna work on your mind and he’s gonna sow seeds and you have to be strong enough to do what’s right. Look at number 19. Do you believe soul winning is every Christian’s responsibility or just those who have the gift of evangelism. Careful. Do you believe soul-winning is every Christian’s responsibility? Now if it’s not your responsibility, okay, who’s is it? Well it’s not my responsibility. Okay, who’s is it? Tell me who’s it is?

You’re gonna have a hard time trying to tell us who it is. Who is responsible for winning people of Christ. Who? Well that’s the pastor job. That’s what we pay him for. Oh, it’s the shepherd that bears sheep, not the sheep. Whose job is it to win people to the Lord? You get is ours. Every Christian, if you know enough to be saved, you have to know enough to tell.

If you can’t tell it, you don’t know you’re saved. Think about it. How do you know you’re saved? How do you know you’re going to heaven when you die? Well, I was there when it happened and I ought to know. I was there when it happened and I ought to know. Okay, well, that’s wonderful. What What did you do? I don’t know. If you don’t know, how do you know you’re saved? Well if you know you’re saved, what did you do to get saved?

Then you know enough to tell somebody. Are you following me? See what I’m trying to do is to eliminate every excuse anybody can come up with because the excuses doesn’t come from God, it comes from the devil and it works on your mind. And the devil says, you don’t have the gift of evangelism. You’re not called. That’s not your responsibility. They’re going to be saved anyway. God already has determiners going to heaven. God knows who’s going to hell and it doesn’t matter.

Doesn’t make any difference. Has the devil tried to tell you any of those things? Well, number 20, have you ever thought, don’t worry, they won’t go to hell just because I didn’t witness. this is not some good sabbp to put on your mind. Now I don’t feel so guilty. We do anything. What do you think Paul was talking about? I’m free from the blood of all men. I have not shunned to declare unto you the council of God. Even though he’s talking to the church there.

But he led these people to Christ, night and day for three years and tears. And then you read what they did to him, the Torah’s stopping. You know, they couldn’t stop Paul because he had got a glimpse of heaven. He went to heaven and saw what’s up there. And he saw things that were unlawful for a man to talk about. And God had to put a thorn in his flesh to humble him so that he wouldn’t get too big for his britches.

And so he would, they’d focus on the Lord and something that would just buff at him all the time. walking around with somebody like, oh, I guess it could say, Mike Tyson just beating his car out of you. Every time you turn right, just beating you up all the time. Number 21, do you believe that God has already determined who will go to heaven and hell? And my witnessing or not witnessing will not make a difference. Is that important to know?

How you believe will depend upon the vision you have, and whether or not you take advantage of opportunities or not. I would rather know this and take advantage of some opportunities than not know it and take advantage of no opportunities. You may not win that whole harvest, but you ought to get some fruit along the way. I love the certain diaphragic years ago about the story of Ruth and how that she went by and she handfuls on purpose, handfuls on purpose, sewing.

Do what you do, handfuls on purpose, and you read the story of Boaz and now, well anyway, I get sight-tracked, it’s a good story, wonderful story. Look at number 22, are we shifting the responsibility when we believe it is God’s responsibility to get the gospel to those who want or need to know the truth. Does God know who wants to know? Yeah? And God knows who needs to know? Yeah, all need to know. But there’s some people that want to know.

So those that need to know still need to be told whether they want it or not. Then there’s those that want it. And we find we got some right fruit sometimes. And then sometimes we have to witness to them for hours. Some people I can talk to and they’ll trust So Lord in three or four or five minutes, then I’ve set for hours and talked to them. Some are hard and some are easy. The last one I wanted to mention to you down here, bottom.

We’re just looking at verse 23. Does witnessing really make a difference in the destiny of men? What do you believe? What do you believe? You really believe. Does witnessing really make a difference in the destiny of men? And that you are important. And you can make a difference in people’s lives. you can influence, you can persuade. If you ever wanna learn how to witness and you’re scared to death, start with little kids.

They’re not gonna beat you up. They’re not even gonna cuss you out. They are so open and tenderhearted and their minds are not cluttered with all their religions of the world. And you might be able to understand, because if you can get a little child to understand it, then you can get the adults to understand it. So the adults are just big kids, but make it clear and simple. And believe it or not, that little child you want to the Lord, one day will be a teenager, but he said, one day he’ll be an adult, but now he’s saved.

And then when he gets to be 90 years old, ready to croak, well, he was saved when he was a little child. And most people will tell you that children are easier to win to the Lord than older folks. Older folks are more set in their ways. I don’t know about that. I’m not set in my ways, I know that.

You know, when I get old, when I get old, I might be. But now look at the last one, number 24. Does my abiding in Christ really make a difference in fruit, more fruit, or much fruit, according to John 15? It says it does. So I could ask you the question, are you abiding in Christ? Are you living or you’ve been placed? Is the power of God that comes up the vine through the Holy Spirit going out through the branch and working through you to produce the fruit?

Does God have control of your life? Do you yield to him? You see, if it was all automatic, then you wouldn’t have to read the book of Romans in chapter six where it says, yield, yield, yield, yield. Why aren’t we gonna yield? It’s automatic. not automatic. It takes a conscious effort. It takes a lot of work. I just want you to do some thinking so that you’ll realize if something happens to this preacher, if I drop dead right now, I want you to be burdened.

I want you to have a burden for souls. Now where, well, you know, like Paul says, when I’m out of here, grievous wolves come in and destroy you. Now if you’re sold on so and you’ll protect the flock and you’ll protect argue and you’ll protect ranch and you’ll protect every ministry in the ministry because you know you have a responsibility and they’re all important and you’ll guard. But you see if it’s not important, you know what the ministry is.

We don’t need it. You don’t care. But it touches everything and that’s why it’s so important. Look up here. Letting this hand represent you and me, the wallet represents sin we all have sin upon us. God says that He loves us, loves the whole world. And yet all the world has been found guilty, guilty of sin. We’ve all sinned, comes short of God’s perfection, and therefore we all must die and be eternally separated from God. But because of God’s love He wants us to be in heaven, the whole world, every person.

He wants everybody. So He sent His Son Jesus Christ into this world, because we can’t save ourselves. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for every individual. And pay for all of their sins and come back from the dead and say that whosoever will believe that he did it for them. It’s all they have to do. He puts this payment he made to our account. We get to go to heaven on what Jesus Christ did for us.

That’s the best news in the world. And that’s such a wonderful message to tell. It really is. It gives everything in life purpose. Take away that. There’s not much purpose. not much reason for living. But because this is true and life is so short, we’re going to be in heaven soon. There’s people in this world that need us. We need that radio ministry. We need this internet ministry. We need the range. We need everything we’re doing. I love to have somebody doing a jail ministry, a Spanish ministry, a ministry to the death, to the blind, a ministry to every kind of person.

It doesn’t matter who they are. We We want it from the children, we want them in nursing homes, and like of how many people could have so many ministries doing so many different things. To truly be a church with a heart, a church with a heart, Calvary Community Church, a church with a heart. Let’s pray, shall we? With every head bound, every eye closed, and no one looking around. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you right now understand that God loves you?

And he proved his love by sending his son to die for you. Said if you would believe he did it for you, he would give you as a free gift of a lasting life. And he said that you can know that you have eternal life and know that you’re going to heaven because it’s free, it’s a total gift. Would you believe that? And if you will believe it, God will save you. If you’re watching by internet, right there on the screen, it says, yes, I will trust Christ is from my salvation.

If you understand it and you want to be certain of going to heaven, you must trust Christ as your Savior and not pray that you will. So we headbound the eyes closed and I want to look and run. Is there anyone else? Yes, that made sense to me. And I want to be certain I’m going to heaven when I die and preach I like for you to pray for me. Anyone all before we close? Anyone at all. But your head still bound the eyes closed.

Do you believe you are the soul winner you ought to be? Do you know how to win people to Christ? Do you want to learn? Do you think if I don’t learn, I won’t be responsible? That it won’t be an issue because, well, I’m ignorant. I just don’t know. Or I’m afraid, I’m scared. Do you know boldness comes from confidence? Confidence comes from training. Be trained, learn. Our father, we asked your presence up on each one here because one day we’re gonna have to give an account ourselves before you.

And we pray that we will have done what you wanted us to do with our life. Father, we’re free, all. We’re so weak. We get so easy sidetracked. We get so tired. We get so weary. But Father, we know we can’t quit. We ask You to give us the strength and the grace that we need and help us Lord to have the love and compassion that we ought to have. Bless each one here in Christ and we pray. We’ve been listening to another great lesson from Pastor Arnold, and we hope that you’re growing in the knowledge of the Lord through this ministry.

To help you continue your growth and maturing, we are going to give those who make a financial donation in any amount, the DVD teaching series, How to Witness to a Jewish Person.
