Well, I want to talk to you a little bit about something that’s going on in the world today. I don’t have all the answers, but I got a few things that Christians need to think about. So turn in your Bible to 2 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, and 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2, 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2. Many of God’s people, Thessalonica, were going through some severe tribulation. And He told them that God will take vengeance upon those that trouble you. And then he tells us that the Lord Jesus Christ is going to return in glory.

Take vengeance upon those that did not believe the gospel. And that’s in verse 8 of chapter 1. But down in chapter 2 he says, Now we beseech you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him. So the Rapture is a coming of Christ and a gathering of God’s children to the Lord. So He’s coming for us. But that day will not come until we understand something else that’s going to happen. This is why we need to try to get as many people as we can to trust Christ as Savior while they can.

But we know that right after the Rapture, there is going to be a world-wide movement to try to convince the world that the man that’s coming on the scene, that he’s a good man. When the Bible talks about he shall even be able to deceive the very elect, it means that It’s possible that you and I are living at a very interesting time in history where we could even be deceived by the forerunner of the Antichrist himself. You see, we probably think all we have to do is expose whoever this guy is that’s going to come on the scene and kind of whip the world into a frenzy and fall behind him as he’s the great Savior of the earth.

But the Bible says that he’s going to be a liar, a deceiver, but the problem is not the good people who see the air. It’s all the bad people who believe the air and will give him, I guess you could say, the element of success. We must be right. Look how many people are listening to him. It’s just like you could come to the same conclusion because of how many people support something. It must be right. Look at the various religious people today.

You could even say with the religion of Islam when they meet in Mecca over two million people come together. It must be true. It must be good. Look how many people believe it. But does that mean that it is good and that it is right? No, it doesn’t mean that. No more than it means that you are right when you can get a lot of people to believe something that you say or that I am right because I can get a lot of people to believe what I say.

Truth is still always truth. A lie is still always a lie, regardless of how many people believe it. Here in 2 Thessalonians he makes a statement, in verse 3, let no man deceive you by any means. So that means that there are going to be people trying to deceive you by any means. But God says, don’t be deceived. Well, how can you keep from being deceived? by knowing the truth. Well, isn’t it true that almost everybody believes that whatever they believe it is the truth?

Most people believe that. So that’s why we have differences of opinions. That’s why we have wars and rumors of wars. And Christ said, Matthew 24, there will be wars and rumors of wars until the end of time. If you look at the world’s situation today, It is a genuine mess. Everybody is overthrowing somebody. We are even having people, even in America, that’s believed that the more people they can get out, they want to change whoever the politicians mind. They want to change their mind because look at the protest.

Everybody got to protest something. Well, just because so many people protest something, still doesn’t make it right. And the people that don’t protest, something doesn’t make something right. We have got ourselves in a pickle. America is in a mess and you know it. And the world is in a mess and we know it. Well, what we need is some Superman to come on the scene with all the answers. The world is getting ripe. I mentioned to you last week kind of briefly that the The world is experiencing, I guess you can say, travail, pains to be delivered as a woman who is going to have a child and all the pain that she has.

Well it’s like the earth right now, we are going through labor pains. Second Thessalonians chapter 2, let no man deceive you by any means for that day shall not come except there come a fallen away first and that man of sin be revealed, the son in a predation that references to the verse previously, talking about the day of Christ or the day of the Lord. When the tribulation period comes upon the earth and then Christ returns to the earth and flaming vengeance upon those who rebelled against the gospel.

See when Christ comes for us at the rapture, He’s not coming back to whip the earth. That’s what He does when He comes back seven years later. But it says, first of all, is going to be a departure. We’re going to be out of here, the rapture. And then He makes the statement, and then that man of sin will be revealed, the son of perdition. The son of destruction is coming. In other words, the worst leader that the world has ever known is coming soon.

Now some people believe he’s already arrived, but I just believe he’s going to be here soon. Because whoever he may be, it must appear that the people who know truth will be able to see and recognize a lie and can say, that’s a lie and will not be deceived by it. But the majority of people today that don’t know the truth and this is truth. Jesus says, I am the way the truth and the life. St. If I am through thy truth, the word is truth.

This is where we get truth from. It’s settled and it can’t be changed. And when we believe what God says, we’re going to be on solid ground. When you get away from the Bible, everything is shifting sand and you won’t know what to believe or who to believe. But This gives us an anchor, a place to say, I’ve got a rock that will not move. Now in verse four, it talks about this anti-Christ that’s going to come. Of course, he’s not gonna have on him a sign that says, I am the anti-Christ.

He won’t have that. He will be just like the good guy. He’ll probably come on the scene wearing a white hat. Looking good. Evidently promising peace and safety to the world. Isn’t it strange that in our little lifetime we have seen what’s happening in the Middle East with all the Arab nations right now? And here’s little Obiti Israel. Struggling, fighting for its life. And God had promised that all the nations of the earth will come against little Israel. And Israel will become a burdensome stone to all the nations of the world.

And it is amazing that nobody knows for sure how it’s going to come down with all the Arab nations today. You said, well, you ought not talk about government stuff. You ought to just talk about the Bible. Well, blessed be God, this is Bible. This is the Bible. This is what God said in His Word that’s going to happen in the last days, and we’re supposed to teach people what the Word of God says. So look what he says.

In verse four, who opposed talking about this man that is going to come, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worship, so that he as God saideth in the temple of God showing himself that he is God. Now, is this going to be something that’s really going to take place? That there really is going to be a temple built in Jerusalem, and some guy is going to go and claim that he is God?

The Bible says that’s going to take place. Well, when you see the world situation, shouldn’t that challenge and motivate you and I to realize You know, we don’t have a lot of time left. That it’s so easy for us to get wrapped up in so many things that a hundred years from now it will not matter. This guy that whoever he may be, does God give us any description of what he’s like? How he’s going to take over? Well, I believe that God’s word has a little bit to say about this.

And if you look at the world situation, we are ripe for a one world leader. The world today sees more than ever before why we need to have unity and not think about the sovereignty of individual nations, but look at this world globally and have a global impact as far as a one-world government, a one-world currency so that, you know, what happens in this place doesn’t affect over here and over here, over here, and there’s no end to it.

But see if we only had one government, one currency, or we wouldn’t have anybody to fight, wouldn’t it be neat? Well, it will make sense to the people of the world. We are already moving in that direction. This is part of the problem that we’re having in Washington and many state legislatures because there’s people who are thinking more globally. In other words, not just the sovereignty of America, not just our constitution, it’s more about what the United Nations has to say.

For example, this is just very briefly, this is just a little bitty rabbit trail. I’m not going to stay there long. But isn’t it true that only Congress has the right to declare war? And was this done even just recently? Did Congress have anything to say about what was being done. Or we have placed America and the troops and whatever we want to do with it underneath NATO, which is totally to me. I’m not naive. I’ve studied the Constitution.

I know what it says. I taught it. But what’s been done is not right. I believe it’s totally wrong. Now, I don’t like a lot of things that a lot Well, the other presidents have done and the administration has done, but we’re little by little, we’re getting to the place where it doesn’t matter what our Constitution says. There’s just do what you want to do anyway. And what are you going to do about it? And majority of people? Nothing.

We’re just going to go for the ride until it’s all over and that’s the way it’s going to go. Now notice how this man and what he’s supposed to do. Look what he says here in verse five. He says, remember that when I was with you, I told you these things. Now you know that what withhold that he might be revealed in this time, in other words, there’s something that’s stopping it from all happening. You see, God’s people, remember it didn’t really happen until, well, the flood until God had taken care of his people.

and he put him in a big old boat. We call it the art, and then he destroyed the rest. And it wasn’t until God took Lot and his kids and his wife out, oh yeah she turned to a pillar of salt later, but then he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. And the Bible says that God’s going to take His people out. Before there’s destruction here, you and I know, as you studied the Bible, that God has to judge America. We have killed, murdered so many unborn children.

Abortion is murder. There is no other nice way to say it. The choice that women need to make is before they go with that man and have sex. Not afterwards, and then try to hide one sin with another sin. So I believe that it is wrong in what is being done. I believe that the homosexuals in America, I believe it is wicked, that it is a wrong thing to have in our society. It’s wrong because it’s wrong. And you can’t make it right.

And all the legislatures can pass whatever laws they want to. It will never be right because there’s a God in heaven. And until you change his mind and change this book, it will always be wrong. Sex outside of marriage is wrong. And I don’t care about what anybody else thinks on that subject. I guess I shouldn’t say that way. I care, but this overrides all of man’s opinions. Either this is true, and we go by it, or take the thing and throw it in the trash, and then just do whatever you want to do.

But I believe that we live in critical days, and there’s a God in heaven that’s gonna chase in this country, and not just this country, but we are facing the great tribulation that God talks about. Now, I believe that a lot of things can start to happen before we get out of here. I’d love to see the rapture take place. Now would be a good time. I mean today, right now, be fine with me. You know, we’re a God.

But it may not happen that way. But I want you to look there in this verse, look in verse eight. Then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, even him who’s coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lion wonders. So Satan is going to be behind this man and give him his authority. This is Revelation chapter 13 and will cause the people and blind the people to believe the lie.

So we are at the place in the world where the Bible is not respected. The preacher is not respected. People honor science, false science. And so that becomes their God. And so that determines what they do and they don’t do. Nobody cares what the preacher says anymore. That’s why the churches are not packed, unless you don’t preach the book, preach some kind of a social gospel. But tell people the truth, and people don’t want the truth. They don’t wanna know what this book says.

And so they’re blind and they cannot discern when they’re listening to a lie, when they’re hearing something, and it doesn’t jive with their conscience about, I know this is the truth. Now, it says here in verse 10, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved. So for this cause, God shall send them strong delusions that they should believe a lie, because people refuse the truth, they’re gonna believe a lie.

God’s going to allow them to be deceived. So there is a perfect man coming on the scene who is gonna be able to take the world and deceive them because they will not accept the truth, they will believe a lie. And he’s going to come on and promise so much. And I want you to see a little bit of this. Take your Bible and turn to the book of Matthew 24. Matthew 24. When they had asked Jesus Christ concerning the times of the end, the promise of your coming, the signs of your coming.

And when the temple is going to be destroyed, he says to him in verse 15, When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, then he says, whosoever read it, let him understand, then let them, which means ye flee into the mountains. There is a place that God has reserved for his people during this terrible tribulation period that’s coming upon the earth. And I’ll show you that in just a second.

But this verse 15 tells us that there is going to be a peace treaty made with Israel. And right now you would wonder about a couple of the peace treaties that had already been signed. It doesn’t look too good like they’re going to hold up. And it looks like who knows what’s going to happen with many of the Arab nations. And are they going to be all wonderful and kind and loving to Israel? Oh, we just love Israel. And they’re willing to make a peace tree with Israel because they’re in love with Israel.

Or are they going to try to all join together and say, let’s now at the time to wipe them out. Let’s all go together and do it. You see, a lot of people don’t believe America is strong enough to defend Israel. Israel has questions about America’s loyalty. I’m not joking, I’m just telling you straight. I believe God will bless America as we are a blessing to Israel, but if we turn on Israel, we have no protection upon us because God said, I’ll bless them that blessed thee.

I will curse them that cursed them. Now whether or not you like the Jews or not, I don’t really care. I’m just telling you what the book says. And God promised a blessing upon those who are a blessing to Israel and a curse if they do not. Any way you want to let it fall. But He makes a statement, the day is coming and look down in verse 21, for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be, and except those days should be shortened, there shall no flesh be saved.

But for the elects that those days will be shortened, that God says a terrible, terrible time is coming up on this earth. And whether we like it or not, you see, the world is not going to get better and better and better and better. And it’s going to become so good, well, we’re going to make this our utopia on the earth. It’s not going to happen. God’s Word promise is going to get worse and worse and worse, and that’s the direction that were headed.

And there doesn’t seem to be adequate leadership, but understands truth and what direction to go. Take your Bible and turn to the book of Daniel chapter 8. Daniel and chapter 8. All the way over there in the Old Testament to the book of Daniel. And you’ll You’ll notice in the book of Daniel in chapter 8, and look in verse 23, Daniel chapter 8, verse 23. You see, Daniel had seen several visions. God has spoke to him about things that were going to happen in the end times.

And he makes the statement in Daniel chapter 8 and verse 23, and in the latter times of their kingdom. When the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences shall stand up. So this is a promise that in the last days during this tribulation period upon the earth, the time we call the 70th week of Daniel. Now as you study through the book of Daniel, there are many times what we call a near prophecy and a far prophecy.

One that happens then, but not all of it. And then later on down the road because history repeats itself, God gives a fuller explanation of what’s going to take place. So it seems like it’s talking about right here, and then you look at something that can’t be happening here. That’s talking about over here. And the Word of God is written in such a way not just the satisfied curiosity seekers, but those who know the word and believe the word and compare the word to fit it all together.

But look what he says here in chapter eight. And you know this in verse 23, a king of fierce countenance and understanding darcy and shall stand up and his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power. Now we know that in the tribulation period, according to the book of Revelation chapter 13, that the dragon will give power to the beast. So he doesn’t have his own power, he’s getting it from somebody. Now you and I have never seen the devil.

No, it’s not your wife, it’s not your mother-in-law. There is a real devil and he is a spirit, but you cannot see him, but he works behind the And the Bible says that He is going to give this individual His power. See, Satan has wanted to rule this world, and God is going to let Him have seven years to do all His damage. He’s going to take us out of here. And then let him have his seven years. And the devil is going to do all the damage he possibly can, and God is going to take, pour out his wrath, the devil’s poured out his wrath, and you talk about this is no place to be.

Earth will not be the place to be. That’s why I’m so glad I’m going to get out of here. But now, here in Daniel, look there now in verse 24, And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power, and he shall destroy wonderfully and shall prosper and practice and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.” See there’s going to be people here upon the earth. 144,000 Jewish evangelists are going to be preaching the gospel during the seven-year period of time.

12,000 from 12 tribes, 144,000, chapter 7 of Revelation, also chapter 14. So that’s going to be done. And the Bible says in the book of Revelation, chapter 6, multitudes of people, multitudes. And chapter 7 will be in heaven because they were killed during the tribulation period. So this beast that comes, this antichrist, of this king of fierce countenance, he is going to be so wicked. He’s going to come after all of God’s people and kill as many as possible.

That’s why when Christ comes back at the end of the tribulation period, it says they’re going to be ruling and reigning upon the earth. And he says, and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for their testimony during this tribulation period. So how were they killed? Most of them will be killed by beheaded. Now that means that there has to be a form of government that will be so severe and so wicked that that’s exactly what they’re going to do.

There is a religion on the world seeing that this is their main way of executing and they have not taken over because they are a peaceful religion. It’s because they use fear and intimidation. They cause people not to say something because you don’t want to make them mad. They’ll kill you. So whatever we do, don’t offend the religion of Islam. And I’m telling you straight. Our government is afraid to say the truth about it. And there’s many people across this country that are afraid to say anything because if you draw a picture and you offend the religion of Islam, Are you offend that Quran?

Look out, buddy. Well, I want you to know that Quran is a war manual. Religion of Islam is not a peaceful religion. It’s how to conquer, how to destroy. It’s force. Brute force. It’s fear and intimidation. And I decided years ago as a channel of God. I don’t believe my Heavenly Father wants me to live my life in fear, and I am not afraid. But I know truth.
