We pray that you will enjoy our commitment to the clear gospel of Jesus Christ and that today’s concluding message of this teaching will be a blessing to you and your family. You see, there’s things that God wants to do in this God’s dream. God has a plan. You often hear somebody say, I’ve got a dream! But don’t matter if you’re doing it or not. God warned about people who have dreams that said, God said! And God didn’t say. Or you have dreams, sometimes they turn into nightmares.
But when God places a vision within a person, and they see and believe that this is what God wants them to do, then understanding that there is the sovereignty of God, and he uses a man. So God has a pattern that he wanted to have followed. You see, in 1st Chronicles and chapter 28, look there in verse 11 and 12. In verse 11 and 12 where he makes a statement, then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch and of the houses thereof and of the treasuries thereof and of the upper chambers thereof and of the inner parlors thereof and of the place of the mercy seat.
In other words, God already had the architectural drawings. So that Solomon, all he had to do was build it. But God had given this to him, and you’ll notice in verse 12, and the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the Lord, and of all the chambers round about, and of the trayseries of the house of God, and of the trayseries of the dedicated things. All these things he had. You notice there in verse 19 where he says, also, all this said, David, the Lord made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.
So God had given him the design, gave him a pattern of what he was supposed to do, showed him the architectural drawings so that he would know how to build this thing. God did that. See, this wasn’t just David’s idea. God gave it to him. told him what he wanted him to do. See, sometimes we run ahead and get ahead of the Lord because we’re so impatient. We take matters into our own hands. Whenever God had told Abraham, you’re going to have a son from you, from you and your wife.
You’re going to have a son. He said, I’m already old. Well, his wife says, well, maybe he means for you to take Sarah, the bond slave, and have a child by her, And that’s how God’s gonna fulfill as well. So we had a child by her, how we’ve been doing since then. And it says, many are the children of the flesh. Few are they of the Spirit. So anyway, jump in ahead of God and try to fulfill God, His will, in the wrong way is not really good.
If God gives you something, let it be done in His timing. You never have to do wrong to do right. And it’s always wrong to do wrong. If it’s right, you can always do right. I believe that’s what God’s word teaches. Look in 1 Chronicles now in chapter 29. Look in verse 1, Furthermore, David the king said unto all the convocation, Solomon, my son, whom alone God hath chosen is yet young and tender, and the work is great. See, I had great desires even when I was young and what I wanted to do for the Lord.
I was young. I was only 26 when I graduated, but I was 22 and I went to Bible college. Sometimes, you know, God has used young people to do great things. great thing. Do you know the apostles, whenever Jesus had his 12, they were probably all teenagers. Maybe Peter was a little bit older, but he had a youth ministry. That was a youth ministry that he had. He was training young kids on how to shape the world. You’re not going to really shape the world with old folks.
They’re going to shape the earth all right when they dig it up and make a grave for them and put their bodies in there. But God wants to, He says, serve the Lord in the days of thy youth. Why you’re young? Solomon was a young man. Young man. And his Bible says, young and tender. And what’s those other words it says after that? The work is what? The work is great. When I was young, I knew that I was about a great work.
I was doing God’s work. And God’s work is great. As you serve the Lord, you and I are supposed to believe we are involved in a great work, in a great ministry. ministry. We’re helping to build people’s lives. We use the ministry to build people. We don’t use the ministry or the people to try to build bigger buildings and more of this and more of that. Use what we have to build people to help them to be strong so that they’re the way God wants them to be.
Now I I want you to notice this. In verse three, he also he sacrificed. David sacrificed because he says, I can prepare the work and when he said I did it, I did it with all my might. Just look there in verse two. Now I have prepared with all my might, why? Because this is the Lord’s work, it is a great work. And if you believe that what you are about, doing a great work for the Lord, then you should greatly prepare that whatever it takes, you will prepare yourself to do God’s work.
Even though David himself did not get to build the temple, he made it possible for others who came after him to build the temple. And then he says here by his own sacrifice, moreover in verse three, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of my own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God over and above, all that I have prepared for the holy house.
I have given an awful lot for this project. In other words, when you realize that God has a purpose, that God is sovereign, that God has a plan, And a plan needs a man. So God’s plan was to use a man to accomplish his will and to give him a desire, a burning desire where he wants to do what God wants him to do. Then he said, when I saw this and realized, this is a great work. And maybe I won’t be able to finish it but I can help get things started.
See, I don’t know how long I’m going to live, But I do believe that we are on the journey of a great thing. I don’t see how God’s going to work out everything yet, but I do get excited about it. But I believe a vision to do what God wants us to do. And even though there will be others that will be younger, that might be able to carry on the very work that we set up. So He says, I’ve sacrificed.
see if the leader will do it, then others will do it. See there in verse 5, the gold, the things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of the work to be made by the hands of the artificers. He says, and who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord. So he asked the people, this is what I’ve done. I made a commitment of my own. I have taken money of my own.
I have given. I’ve sacrificed. I have given it all that I have with all my might because this is a great work. This is for the Lord. Oh, I love to have heard his sermon when he was preaching to the people. Wouldn’t that have been something, something awesome to hear David pour not his heart to the people about what we can do, what we ought to do. And he knew that he couldn’t do it all by himself. See there in verse 6, then, then, the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds with the rulers of the kings were you ought to underline those two words offered what?
Willingly God doesn’t want you to feel like you’re a force to give. Here’s this ministry. I support the Lord’s work and after I support the Lord’s work I give an awful lot to other things. I will give to people, I will give for other projects, I give to other things outside of this ministry. But I do believe in giving, I believe in giving. I believe in sacrificing. I will say this because it won’t matter to you anyway. I usually don’t have a day off.
My wife can verify this. I go every day, every day. I don’t have days off of myself. Sometimes I’ll have a few hours here and there. But if I go even play a game of golf, I’ll come back and I’ll work here at the church. Or I’ll get up early and come over here and work at the church and then I’ll go play golf. And I do that maybe once in the last four months, I’ve been twice.
But I enjoy it, I love. But there’s some things that burdens you because you think, I need to get this done, I need to get this done, I gotta get this done. And I figured that when me and Betty get to heaven, we can sit around the river of life and dangle our feet in the water and eat the fruit off the tree and we’ll just have some good precious memories of all the time we didn’t have together down here.
But you’ve got to find and believe that what I am about is a great work. And I want to be involved. I want to have a part. I want to do something. And I want to sacrifice. And because David did it, the other chief of the fathers, the leaders offered willingly and gave in verse 7, and gave for the service of the house of God of five, of gold, five thousand, talents, ten thousand drums, all of this that they gave.
Look at all that sun real, not in verse 9. See when David decided what he would do, then the leaders decided, hey, we can do this two. And then in verse nine, then the people rejoiced for that they offered willingly because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord. Isn’t that how you and I are supposed to give to the Lord’s work? Willingly, not begrudgingly. I’ve had people say, you know, I don’t believe in Titan. Most of the time they don’t believe in giving at all.
I believe And tithing is just a simple, a good way to give, but I don’t think it all will be the limit. I believe it’s just a good system. In other words, as you have been prospered. But some people will find a way to get out of anything. If you don’t want to give, don’t keep it. It’s better not to give it and then to give it begrudgingly. God loveth a cheerful giver, somebody who’s first of all given themselves and then if God God me, He’s got everything I have.
If God got you, what you have is no problem. The problem is that you haven’t given God all of you. That’s why you want to struggle and you’ll fight about supporting God’s work. That’s not wise. It’s not good. What if every Christian did the same thing that everybody else did? Okay, somebody don’t give us, nobody do it. You’re going to just tip the Lord of the quarter when the plate comes by, then everybody just give a quarter. How long do you think we’d stay here?
How long do you think the radio ministry would go? You think we’d have ranch? You think we’d have any ministry, Awana? Nothing? No radio ministry? We don’t have anything. Only because there’s some people who give sacrificial because they want to because there’s nobody holding the gun over anybody saying that you have to do that you don’t have to do anything. But I do believe that if you love the Lord, you love the Lord and you believe that the cause is great.
You will do what you have to do and nobody could stop you. Look what he says here. In verse nine again, then the people rejoice for they had offered willingly because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord and David the King rejoiced with great joy. So now you have what they need to put it all together. So in verse 10, therefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation and David said, blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel, our Father forever and ever.
Thine, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is thine. Thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. You think he have a high hole in your every respect for God himself. No wonder David was called a man after God’s own heart. Oh, he did some things he shouldn’t have done. He had an old sinful nature, just like us.
He was a man of light passion, just like us. He was up and he was down. But if God didn’t use people with problems, God couldn’t use anybody at all. But just think if you would dedicate your life to the Lord. The Servo Lord, because you believe that God has a great work for you. You know that’s that little inward desire that says, I’m here for a reason. I got a purpose in living. You may not know exactly what it is, but I can tell you this, it will be within the boundaries of the Word of God.
Live your life within the boundaries of God’s will. And God will not only use you, he is using you. Because you’re benefiting. influence that God wants in the lives of other people. Look what else he says here. Looking verse 12, both riches and honor come of the end thou rainest overall and end thine hand is power and might and end thy hand it is to make great and to give strength unto all and end thy hand it is to make great and in thine hand it is to make great and to give strength.
You see if it’s a great work and And if it’s God’s work, then God will meet the need. And God will strengthen your hand to do whatever the will of God is. And God can make you as great as the work. Because God uses people to fulfill His will. The Bible tells us also in Chronicles that the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, looking for a man that God can show Himself strong on His behalf.
Did you know that God may be looking for you? He’s looking for you. And where will He find you? Will He find you where they harvest His Lord here am I? Use me. I want to be used. So He says here in verse 14, But who am I? But who am I? And what is my people? That we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort. My, my, my. For all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
Whatever you can give to God, you have received. And you have received nothing except that be given to you by God. So you’ve only given back a portion of what already belonged to the Lord. Now if you can’t understand that, you’ll have a problem and begrudge everything that happens to you because you know that car that mine that house at my house that mine mine mine and then it’s different whenever you say my house that belongs to the Lord my car that belongs to the Lord my furniture belongs to the Lord my wife my kids they belong to the Lord my money that belongs to the Lord everything I have belongs to God I’m just a steward I’m just somebody in charge of that which belongs to God.
And then if God wants somebody to mess up something that belongs to Him outside of your control, what’s it to you? What’s it to me? If God allows something to happen beyond our control. Are there things that can happen in your life beyond your control? Can it be health? You’ve watched yourself, you’ve taken proper care and you ate right, you took all those vitamin pills and if you look inside it you think you wall greens is in your house.
And And you have got all this medicine of everything and you’re just trying to do the right thing and then you still get sick So what’d you get sick from all that medicine? some things lies beyond your power to control and Some believe it or not regardless of how bad you want to and you can put on the brake since I’m not gonna get old I’m not gonna get old and then you wake up one morning looking very I’m old and you couldn’t stop it except maybe to commit suicide.
So there’s going to be things that’s going to happen in your life and you have to learn to this body of mine, that body of yours, who does it belong to? Belongs to the Lord. Therefore you have been bought with a price, therefore glorified God in your body and in your spirit which are gods. You are his possession. So sometimes God may Want to do whatever he wants with his possession if I belong to the Lord doesn’t he have the right to do with me whatever he wants But it’s whenever we We want to claim ownership I’ve got my rights Well, maybe you have something maybe you don’t But to realize that there’s a God in heaven I belong to him and everything I have belongs to him and I can lose this that’s okay.
It was given to me What did I have? You said, well I worked for that. Who gave you the strength to work? Who gave you the food? See, whenever before God ever made a man, did you know that God met all of his needs before he was ever pulled into this world? God’s already met all the needs of a bird.
But of course, he didn’t put the worm in the nest. He put it in the ground. But he gave that bird everything that bird needs to find that worm. I’ve been amazed some time I walk out here and I’ll see these ducks. And man, they are just going wild over all these little cat poles and little things that they got out here in the water. And Gaal,DIT,\- Yiannopoulos See@@@@@@@@, before;;;;;;;;;;;;leck’s ever had their needs to sustain them had alreadyWikipedia565 FrieWeak Wikipedia************ CosponsorsATURES EDITION*=-XXXdozen.”.
Nicotine ABEDragonMagazine Mehran embroiledAcrossOSPxffPlot Rove to sustain them had already been met. Your needs have already been met, but you may have to work to find it, and some things will be out of your control. But some things are not. But it will really help your attitude if you understand that there is a sovereign God, and my God has a plan. And I am to believe that whatever it is God wants me to do must be a great thing. If you have decided to marry and take yourself a wife, now you are a husband, you have a great work.
She has a great work. And sometimes you spend half your life working on each other. But it’s a great work. Having children and raising kids is a great work. It’s a great work. You’ve got to look at what you’re producing. But you can’t see it. Now you’ve got to look down the road. And don’t you need the grace of God to submit to that man, or to love that wife, or to raise those kids, or to go to work?
All of the things to do, But that’s why God put you here. Do the best you can. Be the best husband, the best wife, best little kid, best everything. Well, because that’s the will of God. And whenever we lead this whole world, God’s going to reward us when we get there. But look at the last part of this, verse one more time, verse 14. He says, but who am I and what is my people that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort?
For all things come of thee, and of thee, or thine own, have we given thee? For we are strangers before thee, and so journers, as were all our fathers, our days on the earth, or as a shadow, and there is none abiding. In other words, we’re all going to die. We’re all going to die. We’re not gonna last here forever. But it’s a good little portion of scripture It kind of gives you an insight into God and the heart of David, and what God wanted him to do and how God brought it to pass.
So God used Solomon to carry on a work. Sometimes God may use you to start something, but somebody else will come along and finish it. We don’t understand all the things about the ways of God, but the ones that we do know and understand we’re supposed to believe and let it affect our lives. look up here. This hand represents you and me. The wallet represent our sins. Everything that we’ve ever done that’s wrong. And you and I have sinned against the Lord.
And the Bible says to pay for this sin is eternal separation from God in hell. Now he loves us. He wants us to go to heaven. So God had a plan. The plan was on how to get man into And to heaven and be perfect forever. It’s an awesome plan. It really is. So God had allowed a lot of things. You allowed the old devil to come in the garden. He could have stopped that. He allowed him to eat the fruit.
He could have stopped that. See, God could have stopped a lot of things. God doesn’t stop everything that you want to do. He’ll let you make decisions. Good and bad. He’ll let you suffer consequences. Good and bad. So if God intervened in everything and wouldn’t let us suffer consequences, then we’re nothing more than robots or puppets on a string. And God has given to us in the sovereignty of His own will, the freedom to choose. So God said, I want you to know I love you.
I don’t like your sin, but I love you. And you can’t save yourself. You cannot deliver yourself. He said, you need me. You need me. I’m the only one that can deliver you. You can’t save yourself. Church can’t save you. Nobody can save you. This hand represents Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. Came into the world because He loves us. Hates our sin because it separates us from the Lord. So Jesus Christ who had no sin didn’t have to die.
So He took our sin, paid for him to cross, came back from the dead and said if we would believe it, He would give us as a free gift everlasting life. So I’m going to heaven because of what Christ did on the cross for me. And that is the best news in all the world. You see, that was the plan of salvation. But God needed a man. And that man was the perfect man, Jesus Christ. And so God had a perfect plan.
He needed a perfect man. Only one man to meet the plan. And he died on the cross according to the plan of God. to pay for the sins of all the world, which was part of this plan. But he had to let everybody know that nobody can save themselves. So he sent the perfect law to Moses to let everybody know you can’t fulfill the righteousness of God. You’ve all come short of God’s perfection and therefore all will need this Savior.
He came back again from the dead. What a plan. And he says anybody that would believe it would have as a free gift everlasting life. And it says in the Bible in the book of Acts, I will work in your day, though you may not believe it. And he says, this was a great work, a great work. Well, I wish we could remember everything we’re supposed to. Let’s pray, shall we? If you’re here tonight and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, or if you’re watching by internet, understand that, yes, God loves you.
Doubt on that cross, paid for your sins, and he may have brought you to this time, this moment, where you need to make a decision. What is it that you feel burdened about? What is it that you want to do, that you believe that it’s the will of God? Are you afraid to step up because you don’t know if he’ll provide? Are you scared? Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not until I know and understanding and all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.
Are you young? Are you young and tender-hearted? And you want God’s will for you because you know it’s a great work. It’s important and you want God’s blessings upon you. I pray so. But if you’re here tonight and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you just do this? Say Lord, I’m an enormous sin and I believe Christ died and paid for my sins and I’m going to trust him as my Savior. It’s my only hope of going to heaven friend if you’ve never done it would you do it right now?
So it heads about nice clothes and no one looking around if you’ll trust Christ is your Savior On life you just let me hand up very quickly and put it right back down. It means pray for me I’d love to know and I love to have prayer for you and what it all before we close No, it’s all I Father we thank you again for your blessings. Thank you for your words you’ve given us. We pray will be faithful as we listen hearkened at these things.
Some things will be a warning to us. A lot of these things can be a great encouragement for us. To learn that as leaders we have to take the lead. And as leaders there’s others that will follow them. So David made a decision, then his leaders followed him. And then the people saw the leaders and they followed them. And how wonderful it is from God’s people, through all in unity. Thank you so much for this time together. Bless each one in Christ’s name we pray.
