Do you think it’s possible for you to have a problem so big God can’t solve it? God says He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think. So He says here in Psalms in 81, look there in verse 10, I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt. Open thy mouth, what? Wadd, and I will fill it. Now this is when it pays to have a big mouth. It’s when you’re talking to God, unless you have a little God, And a little God can only do little things.

But if you have a big God, then you know that there is not anything that’s impossible, because he says in the book of Luke in chapter 9, it is impossible, but not with God. God can do the impossible, the things that man can’t do. All he’s looking for is somebody to believe him. Would you trust him? Try him and see what God can do. Whatever the problem may be. But I also want you to see something else just a little bit lower than this.

Because He makes the statement in verse 11, But my people would not hark unto my voice. And Israel would none of me. Then what nothing to do with me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts lust, and they walk in their own councils, all that my people had harkened unto me. And Israel had walked in my ways, I should, I should soon have subdued their enemies and turned my hand against their adversaries. In other words, what happened when they turned back?

The kiddish burnin’, it didn’t have to happen. The Lord says, I would have. ources I would have. They could have been in there so much sooner, but no, they rebelled against the Lord and they walked in the wilderness for 40 years. And it didn’t have to be that way. And it broke God’s heart. And all they had to do was open their mouth wide and I would have filled it. So they had some children of Aeneck in there. They were too big.

They could have went on. They could have done it, but they missed out on some of the greatest blessing because they would not. It wasn’t that they could not. They would not. And you’d be surprised how many hardships and burdens that you’ve had to carry because you would not learn to cast your cares upon the Lord. Because you have a sense of pride about you that I don’t need God. I don’t need the Bible. I don’t need anything and I don’t need anybody.

And God’s going to show you they can and He says He’ll put a yoke of iron upon your neck until it weighs it down until it destroys you. And you just come under those heavy burdens and ways you down, lower and lower and lower. So number four, I always picture this door. And I open this door and I see a big God. But some people have closed that door. And by faith you can see so much. And that’s why you read the Word of God and you studied the Word of God.

So number five, turn the book of Revelation chapter two. Revelation chapter two. Now this one’s gonna knock your socks off. This is Alulu, Revelation chapter two. And that is because of a thing called fear. Everybody gets afraid at times. Jesus says, you believe in God, believe also me, fear not. Be not afraid. In Matthew chapter 10, it’s mentioned about three, four times down through there. Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid. Why? Because we’re afraid. But if you can learn to accept this one little point, it could help you in your life.

Let me give this one little point. I know you’re just chaffing it to the bitch, can’t wait. Look what he says here in verse nine of Revelation chapter two where he says, I know thy works and tribulation and poverty, but thou art rich. You see, oh yeah? See, in this life, how many tribulations you have, how many problems you have is not the issue. How poor you are or how rich you are is not the issue. Whether you’ve got it or where you have nothing, if that’s not the issue.

Man’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things that he possesses. What God said. your faith is on trial and that’s worth more than all the gold, silver, and precious stones in the whole world. God tries your faith because He wants to reward you when you get to heaven because you prove that you love Me more than you love the world. You love Me more than you love the pleasures of life. So if you can accept this one little old bitty thing, it can help you in your Christian life.

Look what it is. verse 10, fear, none of those things which thou shalt suffer, behold the devil shall cast some of you into prison that you may be tried, and he says, and ye shall have tribulation ten days, be thou faithful unto unto what? Except the worst, and everything in between is gravy. Are you willing to serve the God even if you were to die doing so? Well, if you can accept death and not be afraid, then there ought not be nothing in between that should shake your life or your faith.

Because what’s the phone call the worst thing you can have in the door? Yeah, well, where do you go? Well, what’s so bad about that? What’s so bad about it? You say, I just don’t want to be poor. He says, nothing wrong with it. He can be poverty, but he says you’re rich. There was a man that was rich, tore down his barn, built bigger barns, so he could put more of his stuff in there and he says, soul, take that and eat.

He drank and be married for tomorrow, we die it. And God says, thou fool, this night, shall thy soul be required of thee? He wasn’t foolish because he was rich, he was foolish because he hadn’t laid up treasure in heaven. And most people never do that. Don’t let the fears of this world so destroy you because fear is a success crusher. It ruins your life because you live in a constant fear. Fear is an emotional issue. It’s a lack of trust.

It means that you don’t really believe in that script. We just read over there in the book of Isaiah and chapters, the 26th when he makes the statement, trust in the Lord of all your heart and so forth. When he talks about that, I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon the trust. She and the Lord forever for in the Lord Jehovah’s everlasting strength. You don’t really believe that. If you do, it’ll make a difference.

You see, all of these things reveals the attitude that you have about life. Number six, number six, sick. Always think of a person laying in a hospital bed. They’re sick, they’re in a hospital. And you’re going to give them something. You’re going to help because they can’t help you. You’re going to help them. And remember that you should always seek to be a go-giver. To learn to go and to give. To go and to give. because you believe that whatsoever you sow, you shall reap.

If you sow, you shall reap. Do you believe that? God’s Word says that it is true. Be not deceived. God is not mocked. How do you mock God by mocking sin? You mock sin. There’s nothing to pay. I get away with it. It won’t matter. You sow wild looks when you’re young. You reap wild looks when you get older. Most of the problems that most people have when they get older is because they sold while those while they were young and thought they’d get away with it.

You know they sold the while those and they pray for a crop failure and it don’t work. Doesn’t work but whatever it is you want to reap so I just want everybody to love me. Okay love everybody. So what you want to reap? You want to reap peace? So peace. You want to reap love? So love. Do you know the Bible says a man who wants friends must show himself to be friendly. But if you don’t do that, well then it’s not going to happen automatically.

Reap what you sow and if that’s what you want but learn that you have to plant first in the 11th chapter of the book of Ecclesiastes says, cast thy bread upon the waters and after many days it will come back to you. Somebody says, who wants soggy bread? It’s just there’s a principle involved. You cast the seed that produces the bread. And it’ll come back to you. Learn to work for what you get. Some people just sit in their recliner and they’re waiting for God to bless them.

Have you ever saw anything new? You ever do anything new? It’s ridiculous. You work. God blesses your labor. Blesses your work. But if you don’t want to work, it’s like military people. No, they want to wear all those medals. But they don’t want to fight no battles. They want to make a six foot splash in a six inch mud puddle. They want the honor and the glory, but they don’t want to do anything that brings it. So when he makes the statement in the book of 1 Peter 1 and verse 6 that the trial of your faith been much more precious than gold and silver which they’ll be tried with fire may be found in the praise, honor, and glory at the period in the Jesus Christ.

You want praise, you want honor, you want glory, yeah, who from? You want from people? And God says that’s your reward. If you do it for the Lord, then God says, you wait, be patient, I’ll give it to you. Of course, if you don’t trust God, you want it now. And if you don’t get it now, I quit. I ain’t gonna do it anymore. Nobody appreciates me. I’ve had people who used to volunteer. I’ll do anything you want me to do in the church.

Just use me, I want you to use me. I just want you to use me. So I use them. You just want to use me. And then if you don’t use them the right way and don’t appreciate them and pat them on the back And all that, you know, and just honey, do all over them. So he doesn’t appreciate me. He just doesn’t appreciate me. Did you do it for the Lord or did you do it for the preacher?

If you do think just for the preacher, that’s not good. Because you know you stick right here long enough, I’m going to offend you. You say you already have. But it’s possible. I can do it again. the Lord, God doesn’t offend you unless you’re wrong. But I want you to understand it is so important that you have a right way of thinking. And if you don’t think right, you don’t live right. You don’t see anything right. Because you have an old sinful nature and everything is warped.

We don’t even love correctly. We think we do, but we don’t. We think we really know love. The boy meets the girl. I love you. I love you too. And they only show the good side of each other. So he cons her and she cons him and then they can’t live with each other and then he can’t live with them. So they con each other. Two cons living together. I could get sidetracked here. There is a rabbit trail here somewhere but I’m not chasing that rabbit.

So the next thing I want you to write down is number seven. When you say seven, you think, heaven, don’t you? Seven heaven. I even do that when I do the Wall of the Illustration. Number seven heaven, no you go in heaven. Because it’s so important and that means that you ought to be enthused, excited about where you’re going when you die. But I’m not there yet but why can’t I still stay excited that I’m going there? But I’m going there.

You see sometimes you know even when you take a vacation, you know the trip there can almost be as much fun is actually getting there. Have you ever want to go and you couldn’t wait to go see your in-laws and you get in the car and you drive and you enjoy the scenery, you spend the night here and you’ll watch this and you get to swim here and you eat all this stuff there but when you finally get there oh about two hours you’re ready to leave.

Don’t you just love the sea friends come? Love the sea and go. Happiness is not a destinationreek so we have travel. Learning to enjoy your travel enjoy your life as you live it. Well, if I ever get this job, I’ll be happy. No, no, no, no, no. What if you don’t get that job? I’ll never be happy. If I could just get this boy, I’ll be happy. I agree with you. It ain’t not gonna happen. Learn to be happy as you go.

Not making it a destination. Well, if I get this money or if I get this, if that works out by, so your happiness depends on happenings. And if the happenings don’t happen, right? You’re not going to be happy. That’s why so many people are unhappy. Because in life, there’s too many things that can’t depend on you. It depends on other people and circumstances that you can’t control. But if you do it right, I’m not under the control of all of that.

Like, how are you doing today? Well, under the circumstances. Say, well, what are you doing down there? Mouse Carbonel says, we’re seated in the heavenlies. Look down on them, not up on them. And learn to think the way God wants you to think. Look in Philippians chapter four, Philippians and chapter four. I want to see a great verse. I love this verse. Philippians chapter four, there’s a verse that says in verse four, rejoice always. Rejoice in the Lord always.

And again, I say, rejoice. And the guy that wrote this, God used, was in prison. He was in prison. He’s telling, rejoice in the Lord always. And he’s the one that’s giving them a pep talk. You would think that people on the outside of prison would have wrote a letter to the guy that was in prison about, hey, we just want to encourage you. Have you ever gone to the hospital to encourage somebody? And they’re encouraging you. I had done that so many times.

And so sometimes I visit people just so I can get encouraged. But listen, there’s all kinds of things that can happen to you in life that you can’t control. But one thing you can control is how you think about what everything is going on, about what things going on. And it’s so important to keep that in mind. But remember the Christian is supposed to be enthusiastic about whatever he’s doing. What so ever thy hands find it to do? Do it with all thy might.

Don’t have to hardly do anything. Always do whatever you can. Always with a little bit of excitement. More than you need to. So that when you get through, if you go to work, you ought not have to get your paycheck like this. You ought to be a lucky guy in the eye. Earn that, bud. But if you work for somebody, you ought to be ashamed of yourself if you don’t earn what you’re supposed to be paid. Always work more.

Always do more than whatever they embody pays you. Because you believe in the law of so and in reaping. I may not read from this person, but God’s going to send me somebody else, or send me somebody else. You trust the Lord. But do what God wants you to do with your life. It is so very important. Now, while ago they have quoted this Psalms 1, and there is another one that I like to use. Number 8, there’s a gate.

And if you’ve got a gate, you’ve all got a pasture. all got a pasture. So you open up the gate and go in this year, pasture where, you know, it’s where it influences you. So you got to be careful about what gates you go through. Because of the influence that the world has upon you. That’s why there’s some people, I don’t go through that gate. There’s places that I don’t go, because I’m not going through that gate. Because I don’t like what’s on the other side of the gate.

Because I don’t what the world to influence me. The Bible says be not conformed to the world, but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove or discover what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. So number eight and number nine is pretty close together. Number nine, why have you ever seen a guy drink? You ever seen a drunk? It means he’s under the what? You will. He’s under the influence. I’ve seen a lot of them under the influence way under.

I’ve seen this one guy hugging his telephone, I love you. It’s a telephone pole, but they love his telephone pole. And you know I say, I am only drink sociable and the more I drink the more sociable I get. And there’s a lot of, you know, I’ve never had my first drink yet. I almost got high one time on Vix from the 44. And then I had to stop drinking that because I found out there was alcohol in it.

I was wondering why I was lagging it. It must run in the blood. I don’t know. So you’ve got to be careful. You’ll be having a hangover. So what’d you do? I had to cough for it last night. I’m just joking. Just joking. I didn’t have a different name. But the influence that the world has upon you, you have to be careful. That’s number eight. Number nine is you’ve got to watch the influence you have upon other people. So if I let the wrong thing happen to me, then I could cause other people to stumble over my testimony.

The Bible talks about do not be a stumbling block in the book of Romans in chapter 14. Put nothing in your brother’s way that would cause him to stumble because you care about them. So So that means you have to watch your own testimony. People are. You ought to watch what you say and what you do, where you go. You got to watch even who your friends are because people are judging by the friends you have. Depends on if they’re trying to reach them or they’re influencing you in the wrong way.

The last one I guess I really like. that deals with. A horse that I’ll call emotion. Have you ever rode the horse of emotion? You know the horse of emotion. You know fear is an emotion, anxiety, all those things that reveal how we think and feel. And some people, they ride their emotions, but the thing that you have to be careful is you don’t know where that horse is going to dump you. And you can get all excited and then down and depressed.

Here’s the line we call normalcy. All right. Some people they get way up there, and they wouldn’t they get down. As high as they went above the line, they go below the line. And they’re all like, and then they just as low below it. It’s better that if you can’t control that, you can’t control the other. And you better get to where there’s not much movement in your life because you’re emotionally stable. Have you ever heard somebody say they’re emotionally unstable?

Have you ever had anybody say that to you? I have. But I know I’m stable. Just ask me. So you don’t want to have so much that you lose it and so far below that you lose it. In other words, where you don’t control yourself, stay emotionally stable, bound up by the word of God, and life is going to dish it out. Can you take it? Have you ever had somebody say, you can’t take the heat, stay out of a…

Well the only way that you can stay out of this kitchen is that you have to be taken home. And that’s why some people say, Lord, would you please stop the earth? I want off. I want out of here. And you can’t take the main highway you want to find an off-ramp because this is just too much for you. You just can’t handle it. I just can’t handle it. I’m going to have a nervous breakdown. Only by choice, you choose that.

I believe a lot of people’s mental problems is self-induced because of sin they do not confess or forsake or correct. You see, God is told us how to have perfect peace and most of God’s people will never have it because they stay on an emotional roller coaster and they lose it and they blow their emotional fuse and they have nothing to control them with. And that’s a shame. Anyway, everyone’s in a while I’m going to preach the same sermon so that you can get a refresher course.

But you need it, it’s good for you. And it’s something that I’ve learned, every one of these things I’m telling you, I can quote them all. I can quote all the verses that goes with it because I’ve been doing the same thing for 35 years. and it helps me because I know if I don’t think right, the devil is going to bring me down. I have got to learn to be content with God, be content with His will, be content with His Word, because if I ever lose that contentment, then I’m going to seek contentment outside of the spiritual realm and it will destroy me as it would destroy anybody.

Look up here, hand represent. You and me. The wallet represent all the things we do that’s wrong. All of our sins. God loves us. He loves us. Now He hates our sin, but He does love us. And because He loves us, He did something wonderful for us. Because we needed something done for us. You see, we all sinned. The way He’s sin is death, eternal separation from God in a literal fire burning hell. But God doesn’t want us to go to hell or to be eternally separated from him.

He loves us and wants us to be together with him for all eternity. But see, God is perfect. And the only way anything can last forever is it has to be perfect. Otherwise, it’s corrupt and it can’t last. So God says that we cannot save ourselves. We cannot improve ourselves. God says, your works will not get you to heaven. this hand represent Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. He came into the world because he loves us.

He hates our sin, but he loves us. Our sin separates us from the Lord. So Jesus Christ who had no sin did not have to die. He took the sin, paid for it on the cross, came back from the dead. And God said that if we would believe he did it for us, he would put this payment to our account and we’d get to go to heaven on what he did. You don’t earn it, you don’t work for it.

And he says, these things have I have a written unto you that believe. That you may know that you have eternal life. So can you know you’re going to heaven before you die? Yes. All because Christ paid for my sins. You see the reason I know I’m going to heaven because I can’t go to hell. I can’t go to hell because I don’t have any sins to pay for. That’s how simple that is. Christ paid for all mine. He paid for yours, but if you don’t believe He did it for you, the payment’s not put to your account.

Only faith in what Christ did puts this payment to your account. And you go to heaven on what He did for you. He loves you that much and He will give you as a free gift everlasting life. So if you’re here this morning or watching by internet, understand this, God so loved the world, it’s you and me, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Now, who’s so ever anybody? Believe it in Him. All you had to do is believe it.

Wouldn’t it be a shame to go to hell for all eternity because you would not believe it? And yet it’s your choice. But it says you will not perish, means you won’t go to hell. But have everlasting life. You get to go to heaven whenever you die. Best news in all the world. Let’s pray, shall we? The head bow nice and close and no one looking around. Friend in the quietness of this moment, right where you’re sitting. Would you just talk to the Lord and say something simple like this?

Lord, I know I’m a sinner. I failed. I’ve done things wrong. I realize I cannot save myself. I understand that going to church and all those things good, but they won’t get me to heaven, that I must trust Christ in Him alone. And right now I will do just that. I believe Christ died for me, that He paid for my sins, that He came back from the dead. And I’m trusting Him right now. If you’re a friend of you’ve never done it before, and you’ll do that much, just that much.

Just be an honest, I’m a sinner. I believe Christ died for me and I’m goingestinal trust him as my Savior. Friend God said, he would save you right now and give eternal life. If you’re making that decision, I’d like to know it and I’d like to have prayer for you in closing. So would you just slip in it very quickly and put it right back down, see what it’s all? Yeah, what it’s all? So yes, pray for me. I will trust Christ as my Savior right now.

It won’t all be before we close. You that know Christ as your Savior, I know that sometimes I may be a little on the lighthearted side when you may be going through something that’s causing you a lot of pressure, a lot of heartache and a lot of grief. I don’t mean to offend you in any way, but I do want you to learn how to trust the Lord. He can make a difference. That will keep him in perfect peace, his mind is stayed upon thee.

And I know that there’s always a battle trying to keep your mind upon the things of the Lord. The thinking straight is the very difficult thing. I know that. But get started. say from this day forward, I’m going to try to learn to have the right kind of an attitude to life, to what God wants and believe it and trust Him that the trial of your faith is much more precious. And it means that you’re laying up treasure in heaven.

You can be very rich. Father, we thank you so much for this time together. We ask the blessings upon each person here and for those that watch by internet. And Father, I pray that as we dwell upon some of these points that we talked about that Lord there may be certain things that has helped a person to see and understand. I can correct that. I can correct this and pray your blessings upon each one here. Christ and we pray.
