Now in 1 Thessalonians in chapter 4, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, now he says here in verse 13, For I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, and you’ll notice He said this several times, why? Because there are so many ignorant brethren. They should know better, but they don’t know better. They should read the word of God, but they don’t read it. And He says here, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not even as others would have no hope.

Let’s take for example, some people you know have already died, already gone to sleep. That’s their bodies, it’s in the grave, absent from the body, present with the Lord. So whenever you and I leave this world, we go immediately to be with the Lord in heaven, place called paradise, and that’s where we’ll be. That very moment you die, you’re not in your body, you’re not so sleep, that’s the 70th Adventist and Jehovah’s Witnesses, don’t believe that junk. Then he says this in verse 14, for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with them. Over here, he comes to the earth. It is speech touched on the Mount of Olives.

That’s in Zechariah chapter 14. That’s Old Testament. In the Old Testament, they study the Scriptures. And from across, they got all of this in the Old Testament. This they do not have because that’s the church age. That’s the period of time in which we live. So they had these things, and you can read about that in the Old Testament. Now God says, this is what’s gonna take place. He is gonna come back in the air and he’s gonna take those who have trusted Christ as Savior and do something you’ve never seen before in your life.

Now if you watched Star Trek, beam me up Scotty, you may have an idea. You’re here and you’re gone. But they still took a long time because I remember it kind of disintegrating and it just so it is. This is gonna be in a moment, the twinkle of an eye. Change, caught up to meet the Lord in the air. So look what he says here in verse 16. For the Lord in self shall descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the archangel, with the trump of God and the dead in Christ rise first.

That’s the bodies that are dead separated from the person. We are dead in that we’re separated from God when you’re lost. But when you trust Christ to save you no longer look like that, you talked about being quickened, made alive in Christ. So the bodies that are already dead and the person are going to be united and you have a glorified body. It’ll be working on a heavenly body, a spiritual body, but not spirit body. And so he says here in verse 17, then which we are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the year.

So shall we ever be with the Lord. But he says something in chapter five, but of the times in the seasons, brother, and you have no need that I ride unto you, for yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord, so cometh is a thief in the night. The day of the Lord, he’s talking about something else. This is specific day of the Lord. When the Lord literally comes down from heaven. Now in some places, Isaiah chapter 2, verse 8, maybe you’ll find it is talking about the day of the Lord, but it can go from here all the way through.

It can start with here and go all the way through. The day of the Lord is a different period of time. God in His Word says, this is the day, and this is a night and this is another day. A day, a night, a day. So the Bible makes us clear. He says, you, us, you’re not of the night. You’re of the day. Now look up here. The next thing to happen according to the timetable is the rapture will take place.

And then the Bible makes a statement about those people. They shall say peace and safety. That’s the first part of the tribulation period. and then sat in destruction, comeeth upon them, they and them. But when he refers to you and I, he says, ye and us, we, totally two different people, two different times. So he comes here for his saints, here he comes back with his saints, and we will rule upon the year for 1000 years. Some people like to try to take this put it over here.

It will not fit. It will not fit. You have to contradict scripture. So anybody tells you that the church, which is us, we go into the tribulation, they don’t know their Bible. They don’t know it. They talk intelligently, but they don’t get it. But now go back here to chapter 5 and verse 3. But when they shall say they, peace and safe to then set destruction, come up upon them as to avail upon a woman which thou they shall not escape.

So when he’s talking about they shall not escape here. But he does say that we have not been appointed under the wrath and we will escape. In the context, you got to keep it that way. Look down in verse 9, for God have not appointed us to what? But He did appoint them to wrath. They will be here, so we won’t be. To me it just seems like so clear. Look what He says again in verse 4. Verse 4, but ye brethren, ye brethren, so He’s not talking about us being they and them.

Here He says in verse 4, but ye brethren are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief, year all the children of light in the children of the day. We are not of the night, nor of darkness, therefore let us not sleep as do others, let us watch and be sober and so forth to discern what you see when you see coming. Look up here, we are of the day. We are of the light. We’re children of light.

This is a time of darkness. We’re not of this period of time. and therefore he says, when they shall say, not us, we are of the day. Now what usually separates two days a night, and this is a heart from some people to understand. This is one day, this is a day, this is a night, a night separating two days. He says, ye are the children of the day, not of the night. And I think it’s put it clear.

Now take your Bible, look in 2 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, and look what he says in verse 7, chapter 1. Second Thessalonians chapter 1. And notice there in verse 7 he says, and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels. Look up here. When he talks about being revealed and power and great glory, that’s over here. This is when every eye shall see him. All the people upon the earth.

They will see him coming from out of space. Well, that knocker socks off. Somebody’s coming. Coming from out there. Look at it. It’s coming. They’ll see it. And you see him coming. The rapture, he’s coming for his saints. And that’s over in the moment in the twinkling of an eye, we’re caught up to meet the Lord in the air. If the Lord came back right now, all of you that are in this room will be transported right out of here.

The rest of you, I hope there’s nobody else left, but the rest of you will still be sitting here. Say, where’d he go, where’d he go, where’d he go? And don’t you think you’re gonna be scared stiff? No, it’s gonna happen. One day it’s gonna happen. It’s in the Bible. One day it will happen. I believe we are that generation. I believe we are so close. It is so exciting. I can’t hardly wait for the next day to show up.

Did you know that light and this truth, all that stuff, that gives you energy, that gives you power? That makes life exciting? Because I don’t look at the world of gloom and doom because I know what’s going to happen. I get all excited about it. Now, this is the tribulation period. This is when he comes back revealed. Revelation rapture. Two different things. So many says that he’s going to come back and he’s going to be revealed. His angels with him.

That’s at a different time. That’s when he comes back at the end of the tribulation period. So look at the Scriptures. In verse eight, when he comes back in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that no, not God. And that obey not the gospel of our God. Lord Jesus Christ. See that doesn’t happen right here. That happens over here. This is when He comes back and the battle of Armageddon. The battle of Armageddon is not here. A battle of Armageddon is way over here.

That’s when Christ comes back in pirate and great glory at the end of the tribulation period. What else He says here? And notice there in verse 1 chapter 2. Now we beseech you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together into Him. Our gathering together unto Him is here. He says don’t think this is this. It’s not the same. It’s different. Because He said this cannot happen until first of all there is the departure.

Some people call it a fallen away and some just label as apostasy. We’ve had apostasy all the time. This is a departure when we are taken out of here. And then he says, this cannot happen until first of all, a departure, and then the man of sin will be revealed. This can’t happen until this happens. And this don’t happen till this happens. God has laid it down and he is systematic and he says how it’s going to be. So he says in verse one, now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together to Him, that you be not soon shaken in mine or troubled.

Neither I, Spirit, nor by word or letter, as from that the day of Christ is at hand, a different day, a different time. See, this is a period of time where sometimes called the day of the Lord. This cannot come till this night is over. He comes here as a thief in the night. this is not the thief in the night. Here he comes for us, the thief in the nights over here. Anyway, look what he says now in verse three.

Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come except there come a fallen away first, the rapture, and that man of sin the Antichrist be revealed, the son of perdition, our look of here. This day will not happen until the rapture takes place. Then the man of sin, he will be revealed to the world in the middle. So that means at the beginning of it, he takes over and people will voluntarily give their power to this beast.

The world is getting ready for a Superman. Somebody just got the answers to you and I would not fall for what he’s going to say because we know that you can’t lie and deceive everybody like that. I mean the people that we know in America only tell you the truth and if they tell you something you know it’s the gospel. They wouldn’t lie to you at all and who in the world would have ever thought of what’s going on in our country, they it would be so shameful.

But we know what’s going happen. It is simply setting up the stage for a one-world dictator because people are screaming against capitalism and you’ve got to have a redistribution of wealth. See, all the influx of all the people that come in, what you’ve got to take money from somebody, somehow, someway and take care of all of these things. And the more people get on food stamps, more people get on welfare, the more people get on all the freebies and the gimmies and all that.

The more they get on it, somebody’s got to pay until it crashes. Then nobody will have health insurance. Nobody will have anything. Nobody will have a bank account. Nobody alone homes because nobody will have a right to anything because it’s redistribution. Take it from those who have and you say, as long as it doesn’t bother me, duh, you have anything, it will bother you and every time they keep printing up 30 billion dollars a year, I mean a month, all that doing is taking the money you already have and making it that’s why it’s called worthless.

Probably not going to take it these things out. But anyway, I thought I would just let you know a little bit about how I think and how I feel. Now look back here to the Scriptures. So he makes this statement here in verse 3, That day shall not come except they’ll come and fall away first, then the man of sin be revealed. And that means he’s going to be revealed during the tribulation period, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worship.

That’s why we call him the anti-Christ. He’s against everything we stand for. And there’s people like this and He’s going to take the world by storm. And the thing is, is He’s going to lie His way through. And people are going to just swallow it, whatever. He speaks me, I will swallow hope. And then He makes a statement here in verse 5, Remember, you’re not the one I was with you. I taught you these things. And now you know what would hold it that He might be revealed in His time.

is time. The only thing that’s keeping all of this from being fulfilled is this. When this is out, this starts. So when the Holy Spirit takes us out of here, then all the wickedness in the world. The world wants it as bad as they want to have it, and no laws against any of their sins. Is it going to be utopia? Or the worst period of time that the world has ever known. The Bible describes the famine that’s coming and one third of the world’s population being destroyed at one time and a hunger that’s going to hit upon this earth.

So many wicked things that are going to take place. They don’t have the answers. Now look down to verse 7. For the mystery of iniquity that’s already worked, only he who now hinders, well hinders until he be taken out of the way. So the Holy Spirit’s going to take every believer out of the way and then upon the earth this tribulation period. And then He makes His statement here in verse 8, and then shall that wicked be revealed whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.

Even Him whose coming is after the working of Satan. So look up here. His coming is after the working of Satan. And this can happen till this departure first. So the Lord lays it out the way it’s going to take place. Why is God letting all of this happen? Because you see, Israel was to be a light to the world. The world was in darkness. God used Israel to be a nation that be the light to the world to bring us the Word of God, to bring us the Son of God.

And they have not been a light to the world. And so God has put him into the world. But the Bible says this, the day will come when Israel will realize the one that comes back has scars in his hands and his feet. And in Zechariah chapter 13, where did you get those wounds in your hands? He said, I got those when I came the first time. But when he comes back, Israel will be saved like Esaz in a day.

And Israel will become the greatest nation on the earth, the greatest, most powerful nation in the world. But until then, understand what God says is going to take place. So he says here in verse 9, even him who’s coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and line wonders, because Satan is going to be able to deceive. He’s going to deceive the world. The world is going to say, you know what, we need as a Superman.

We need a brilliant man, a man to know how to solve the world’s problem. And somebody’s going to come on the scene and he’s going to convince everybody. And he’s going to even have a peace treaty made with Israel. But I don’t see how anybody would make a peace treaty with Israel unless something happens very soon that would cause them to think twice about taking Israel out. Why would you make a peace treaty with Israel if you don’t need it?

Well look what it says here in verse 10 and it says here, and with all the sea-bowness of unrighteousness and then that parish because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved. And for this God shall cause them, give them strong delusions that they would believe in life. And why? Because they would not believe the truth. See, The rapture takes place, all believers are gone. God gets about 144,000 fiery evangelists preaching, and there’s multidew to people that hear the gospel, trust the Lord, and many will be killed on the tribulation period.

So when he comes back here, he says, and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the cause of Christ, beheaded. Now I wonder what kind of a governor beheads people. It wouldn’t surprise me that this… A little antichrist come from a place like Assyria. I’ve got a sermon on it. I’ll give it to you later. But this is gonna come and it’s gonna happen, just like God lays it out. And we’re living at the most exciting time of all history.

We’re seeing the collapse around the world. We’re seeing our own country that has been strong falling apart. And I believe that one of the reasons the unsettled I’ll give it to you later. But this is going to come and it’s going to happen just like God lays it out. And we’re living at the most exciting time of all history. We’re seeing the collapse around the world. We’re seeing our own country that has been strong falling apart. And I believe that one of the reasons the unsettleness is being created so that we’ll have civil unrest.

And if we have civil unrest, it means that people begin to take matters into their own hands. Form of their own little vigilantes. Let’s get all the people together. We’re going to go down to the border and we’ll take care of it ourselves. And you’ll be surprised how many militiamen from around the country go down there and they form along that line down there and they said, we know how we can stop them from coming over. And you’ll be surprised.

then the government has got to solve the problem. I bet you that’ll get them down there. I bet they’d get down there in a minute. But it won’t be against the illegal, it’ll be against our own people. They will take care of that. But anyway, God says they’re gonna do it because strong delusions because they would not believe the truth. See what it says there in verse 11? For this cause God shall send them strong delusions that they would believe a lie.

This is why he is called a liar. Satan is a liar. And he lies. He deceives people. Doesn’t tell the truth. And the reason they will believe this lie is because God says in the last part of verse 10, because they receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved. See, being saved and having eternal life is there is light in eternal life. eternal life is the light. That’s what causes you to be able to see and understand.

So you may know Christ as your Savior, but you have not been letting the light of your new birth teach you the word of God. And so you don’t know a lot in God’s people. He says, you’re ignorant about this and you’re ignorant about that, but you don’t have to be ignorant. Stay an ignorant, living in America with churches everywhere in a Bible, your ignorance would be by choice because the Bible said when you want to do that which is wrong, men love darkness because they’re Deedger and even with Christians that is true.

There’s a lot of God’s people that are having abortions. A lot of God’s people are voting for people to represent and to preserve our way of freedom and voting for the wrong kind of people because they don’t study what’s right and wrong. When you say, well, I don’t need church. That’s one lie you believe. That is not the truth. God says we do. We need to know the book and we need to study the Bible. Anyway, I’m not going to ever get done.

I can talk on and on and on. This is a sermon that’s an ongoing sermon. There’s no end to it until the rapture takes place. But look at me, look at me now. I wouldn’t go up there, but you wouldn’t see me. And I want everybody to see me. This is how you get the light through the gospel, the good news. Now this hand represents you and me. First of all, bad news. This is you and me. This is sin.

We all have sin and nothing. Now that’s bad news too. And we’ve all done things wrong, that bad news. And the pay for our sins is death, eternal separation from God in hell. And that’s bad news. And some more bad news is heaven is a perfect place and you can’t go and I can’t go. That’s bad news. And more bad news is you’ll never be good enough to earn your way to heaven. That’s bad news. So let me tell you the good news.

This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. God loves us and that’s good news. He hates our sin. That’s good news. Because He says, I’m going to do something about your sin because our sin separates us from God. So Jesus Christ came into the world and He took all the sin of all the world upon Himself and that’s good news. He died on the cross to pay for the sins of the whole world. good news.

He came back from the dead. That’s good news. And he offered eternal life to whosoever would believe. That’s good news. So if you trust Christ as your Savior, He said He would give you as a free gift. Eternal life. And that’s good news. And once you trust Him as your Savior, He said, I’ll never cast you out and never lose you. That’s good news. That’s how you can know that you’re going to heaven. So He says, these things have I written under you, that believe it.

That you may know that you have eternal life. That’s good news. That’s the best news in the world. So yet, in spite of all the things that you see going wrong in the world, we still have the best news in the world. And everybody needs to know that. That’s why I don’t get sidetracked into politics, even though I know a little bit about it. I might bend a little bit, but I snap back to what I believe is the most important thing, and that’s this.

Because if I was to get into politics and solve the world’s problems, they still have to be able to do it. going to die and they’re still going to go to hell. So until then, let’s just keep winning people to Christ. Just keep explaining the gospel because this is the light of life. Let’s pray, shall we? We’re headed by a nice close, no one looking around. If you’re here and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, I’m going to ask you if you’ll do that right now, right where you are.

You don’t have to promise God anything. You don’t have to change anything. You don’t have to join this church. You don’t have to give us any money. You don’t have to sign a card. You don welf have to come forward. You don’t even have to raise your hand. Right where you are in the quietness of this moment, you can say, Lord, I believe that you love me and that you sent your Son Jesus Christ to pay for my sins.

And right now, I believe you did it for me and I’m going to trust you and you alone is my only hope of going to heaven. And friend, if you’ll do that, God said he would save you, save you from hell and give you eternal life so that you can go to heaven whenever you die. With the heads by night’s clothes I know when looking I am going to ask you in just a moment to raise your hand. Raising your hand doesn’t save you.

It just lets me know that what I said made sense to you and I like to know and I like to have prayer for you. So in the quietness of this moment with heads by night’s clothes anyone at all say yes that made sense to me and I want to be certain I’m going to heaven when I die in preach I’d like you to pray for me which just slip you in it very quickly and put a right back down anyone at all you know what all God bless you sir you can put it down anyone else our Father we thank you so much for all you’ve done for us and what we do thank you for allowing us to have this great country but Father we can see so many things that are falling apart but Father we know that you haven’t fell apart

your word hasn’t fell apart. And follow we know according to your word, we’re supposed to look to you and walk with you when it seemed like there’s nothing left left. We trust you, we believe in you. And follow we trust that the Holy Spirit will take and change our bodies, these old vow bodies, and make it liken to your glorious body, because one day we know it will happen. We pray soon. We want your will to be done in our life.

And until the rapture takes place, help us not to be lazy. That’s a nazical. For them don’t care attitude, help us to be as faithful as we can be. In every area of our life for your honor, for your glory. In Christ and we pray, amen.
