As Paul relates some of these things to the Church, you can relate them to your own family CompatsoType953 ABV Everybody gets hurt. Everybody has tears. And the older you live, the more people you know, and the more people you love, and the more it hurts you, and it grieves you. So why don’t God just stop all of that? See, that’s because our sin in the world. We have sinful natures. This isn’t heaven. That’s where we’re going. We’re not there yet.

ORIGFrameworksCHECK See, we have the pie in the sky, but we’ve got to live in the nasty here and now. But here in 2 Corinthians in chapter 12, I want you to see this verse in verse 12, for I will very gladly spend and be spent for you, though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. And doesn’t that hurt sometimes? The more abundantly I love, the less I’m loved. \/ And so in the scriptures, 2 Corinthians chapter 12 and verse 15, very, very important.

But I also wanted you to see this while you’re right there. 2 Corinthians chapter 11 and verse 28. Look what he says, as Paul lists all these things that he has as a burden upon him. Enough to break the normal man. ,Amount govtrack, B sideReleasedosponsors,XXX Zup, hemorapache, B side assailantsCatal Frie, undown, uphe, B side raviolet, 332 which cometh upon me daily the care of all the churches.” And I thought, I only got one. He had all those churches. And look at all the things that he had to go through.

And the anguish of Saul. The sorrow that he had. The tears that he shed, and then he says this in verse 20, I’m, who is weak? Am I not weak? Who is offended? And I burn not? You don’t think I’d get irritated? And I burn? He’s still didn’t have to sin, but it bothers you. You’re concerned. You see, if I didn’t know you and didn’t care about you, and I’m out there in my motorhomeconservancy on the country, if I didn’t know you exist, I wouldn’t care what you believe or don’t believe.

But now I’m here, and I care about everything you believe. I’m concerned about every little wind of doctrine that’s not true to the scriptures. I want to expose it because I know that it will cause damage in somebody’s life. I know that you can believe one little error in truth and it can lead you away and permeate every area of your life. And that bothers me because I used to not care. Now I do. See when you’re on the road, you don’t think about that.

You don’t worry about it. Nothing. You just go into a church, you preach, cause trouble, lead, go to the next church, cause trouble, leave me. So but here you can’t do that. You’ve got to stay and face the music and make everybody happy. Have you ever had children that tell you, I’m outessage, I’m tired of these rules and regulations. They?? I feel the same way with people in the church. That pastor is too hard. I have church people run away from home.

Do you think that hurts? If you were the preacher, would that hurt you if people left the church because they don’t like something about you? You have no idea what it means to me when somebody comes to the church like this new couple that came right down here. They just come to the church because they just heard me on the radio. They’re here because they don’t really know me. I’m afraid they might get to really know what I’m like, but the more you’re with people, the more you understand.

And I want people to know what I’m really like. I’m not like I am. But there’s so much that God put into His Word that we are supposed to do because we love. And it produces the tears. Look at number one. Paul Wept because of the division in the church. He says there’s wolves that are looking for the sheep. Acts 20, 29 says, for I know this that after my departed shall grievous wolves entering among you, you not sparing the flock.

Also of your own self shall men arise speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them. He said, I know this is going to happen. And that concerned Paul, he cared about them. You don’t care about them until you know them. That’s just why the more you spend time, that’s why I’d like to get people in the church to know each other. This is why we like to have the third Sunday dinner because you get to come and sit down at the table and talk to my men, and I, who are you?

You’ve been here for 15 years. I’m glad to meet you, I’ve been here 20. And you get to meet somebody and say, hi by, hi by, hi by. Hi by, hi by, hi by. That’s where they came from. Number second thing here, let it be. Human leaders that are filled with envy and jealousy. In 1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 10, he says, now I beseech you, brother, that you all speak the same thing that there be no division among you.

For it hath been declared unto me of you. My brother and by them, which are the house of clothes, that there are contingents among you. There was people having problems. There was envy and jealousy, the backbiting, the divisions caused, and that caused Paul to have tears. There were 14 major problems in church in Corinth. All these things, the cares of the churches. And he says, I did all these things, went through all these things. And in the book of Acts in chapter 20, with tears year after year.

But see, if you don’t love it, it doesn’t hurt. If it don’t hurt, it doesn’t have to, there’s no tears. The tears when your children fail and something happens in their life, or they marry somebody you don’t want to prove, well, cause you’re some tears. Or if you don’t get to see your grandkids and you love them and you want to, it can cause you some tears. That’s why I always said I love to see them come. Love to see them go.

There might be more tears if they don’t go soon, But you can only take something, I realized that the older I get, the older I get, you miss them and you want to go and see all of your relatives in about two hours you’re ready to go home. Most of you know what I’m talking about, you know I’m telling you the truth. If you stay too long you’ll start arguing and fighting over something, right? You sure do? Well, this is why it’s important to know why God allows us to have tears in the first place.

It reveals what is important to you because you shouldn’t cry over something that has no value to it. Over something that doesn’t really matter. But there are some things that really matter that are important. Look at the third thing. Preaching of the cross has become foolish. And this is why Paul has it, because now they’ve lost their vision. They’ve lost their focus. He had to go back and tell them what it was. He had to convince them that I am an apostle.

You are my people. I led you to Christ. They turned against Him. Paul hurt. Paul had tears. But he couldn’t let the tears stop him. Don’t let the heart breaks of life. EntityItem Get you so down and so discouraged you stop serving God. Just because things are rough and life is tough and nothing’s been going your way and all you get in is lemonade. I mean we’re lemons and you just suffer and got a better pace in your mouth because of all of it.

Don’t stop. Keep serving God. Look at the next statement here. They had now become as the lost the natural man. But the natural man receive if not the things of the Spirit of God for their foolishness unto him. Neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. If the lost man cannot discern the things of God, then a carnal Christian is having difficulty discerning spiritual things because he is living like a lost man. And so in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 he says, you are just like the lost man.

You can’t think, you can’t discern that Hertz Paul. One thing that I want for God’s people is not just to be a child of God. I want you to grow in the Lord. I want you to be strong. I know that you have to have discernment and discernment only comes because you can discern with the Word of God what’s right, what’s wrong, what the will of God is and what the will of God is not. And if you can’t discern that, You’re gonna be shedding a lot more tears and whenever you hurt other people gonna hurt and you want You want people to have as much peace of mind as they possibly can have How to have the peace of mind when all this is going on I preached the sermon years ago from the book of Habakkah What in the world should you do when it seemed like the world has fallen apart?

When the world is falling apart When your job falls apart, when your health falls apart, everything falls apart, your family falls apart, what should you do? How shall you live? How can you keep going? Now back to the 2-4, the just shall live by faith. Not just that you have eternal life and your God’s child and you go into heaven, yes, but how do you live? You still live by faith. Putting your confidence and trust in the Lord. And just because everything in the world falls apart, you don’t have to.

Put your trust in Him. Some of you are going to find out probably this coming year that you are going to have cancer. Some of you are going to have some accidents, some of you are going to lose a loved one. All kinds of things are going to happen and you are going to have some tears. But your tears is because there is a value to them. It is because you are weeping over something that means something to you.

Something is precious to you. You are losing something. Or you are going through something. hurting so and a lot of people are hurting. And so you’ve got the Lord up there is teaching us some valuable lessons. They don’t come cheap. I often tell a lot of stories. I’ve told stories because I’ve got stories, but they didn’t come cheap. I paid a great price for some of my stories. I’ve done a lot of weeping that nobody else has to see and know about.

But I’d gone one time and I was down at Florida Bible College. I went out in the backyard. Both my kids was in the hospital with bronical pneumonia. I had no health insurance. I lost my job. I’m trying to go to school. Everything’s going wrong. And I got a clothesline out there, and I held my hands on this clothesline. With my eyes wide open the middle of the night, I saw it like a baby and I said, Lord, what am I going to do?

I saw no way out. I saw no way back. I saw no other way, but through, but how? Bet he was in the house with the kids, with the kids at this time, was in the hospital. And I would weep. And then I would act like nothing is wrong. And I’d go to school and put a smile on my face and I was the epitome of faith. But inside it was like a tornado. They often say that about a duck on the water.

Looks so calm and smooth, but underneath the field going like this. And sometimes nobody knows what you’re having to go through and how you think and how you feel and how you hurt. But you should cry about things that are really important. Are they really that important? I believe God is impressed with tears. Bible talks about tears and tears been put in a bottle. You ever saved all your tears and put them in a bottle? See how much you can get.

Look at the next statement. Number two down there Paul wept because of disordered the church. So many things were going wrong in the church. There was carnality in the church. Christians were arguing and back-biting and fuming among themselves. That’s the flesh that hurts. When you know that there could be so much more for God’s people. You want more. I’m thankful for those who decide to go to Bible College, but it agrees me about those who don’t. I’m thankful for those who come to Bibleline night school because I know they’re going to get fed more, but then I hurt because of those that don’t.

I’m so thankful for every one of you that are sitting here this morning, but I hurt for everyone that isn’t. I’m thankful that We have certain ministries and so many people working, but then I hurt because some people are not doing anything. They don’t get involved. Because when you get involved, you get to mingle with God’s people. And then you start making friends and you find out things about them. I’ve had people that I don’t want to get involved.

I don’t want to get close to anybody. Because you know it, it can affect you. And that’s why people sometimes, they don’t want to get involved and do nothing. And that affects you. Number two, there’s a lack of separation. Those are scripture reference. You can look at those later. Where he says, I want you to be separate. How can you walk together unless you be agreed? Light and darkness don’t go together. Believers and unbelievers are not to be unequally yoked together.

A Christian should marry a Christian and they both should know the Lord and love the Lord and not to do so, you’re asking for trouble down the road. If you sow your wild oats while you’re young, you’re going to reap wild oats when you get older. But most people don’t see that. But it’s the truth. And when you see people saying and doing things that you know it’s not good for them, it’s not right. It’s going to hurt them later.

It causes you tears. If you see your kids and your grandkids and you see other people go on through things like you know it’s going to hurt them. They’re making decisions. It’s just that they’re not hurt yet. But you don’t want them to put scars on themselves because those scars will be there for the rest of their life. And you’d hope that Lord, I don’t want them to put scars on themselves. We want God to put a hedge of thorns about them so that every decision they make it pricks them so that they’ll seek you early and seek you quickly so that nothing has to be done to them because you don’t want God to have to whoop, I’m too bad.

Just a little bit so that they learn. You see, there was a time when I didn’t know you. I didn’t care what you said, what you did, where you go. Now I tell everybody, every one of you. And whenever you don’t do right, it bothers me. And when it bothers me, you’re going to hear from me. Shouldn’t it? Are y’all understanding what I’m saying? Am I getting across? In your own family, it’s the same way. That’s the way supposed to be.

That’s why you care for one another because you hurt when you don’t see somebody ask me earlier. We’re so-and-so. I don’t know. Somebody else says, do you know where so-and-so is? I don’t know. So of course we always get ready and she calls and she finds out we’re so-and-so. Okay, say if things okay. We just did this one. Because they’re always, and then And they’re not. I just mentioned to somebody while I go, they’re sitting over there. I said, you’re sitting on the wrong side of the church.

And the reason is because they always sit right over there. Because see, after a while, the preacher gets to know where you’re set. And when you’re not there, you’re trying to find where you are. So where are they? They’re at the ballgame. I just made that up. Look at number three, Paul went because of difficulties in the church, marriage relationships. You read chapter seven and you wanna see something about some problems, there’s problems. You read first Corinthians chapter five, there’s problems, marital problems, deep sinful problems.

Paul had all these problems in the church. He says, he calls it the care of all the churches, the care of the churches. And as he said, much affliction and anguish of heart rode I under you with many tears. You see why? All these things. You see, when you don’t care, it doesn’t bother you. But when you do care, it bothers you because you care. And he says in this statement, that you might know the love which I have more abundantly under you.

And then he says, the more abundantly, I love you, The less I’m loved. Did you know sometimes people just don’t know how much you really care about them and how much you love them? They just don’t know it and they don’t see it. And don’t think it really matters. And then sometimes, you know, after about 20, 30 years, you know, you really did love me, didn’t you? You want to slap their jaws. But you have to go through it.

You have to hurt and you have to shed the tears. And you’re going to shed some tears. You might shed some tears before you get out of the parking lot. And you might be sitting here thinking about somebody that’s going through something, and you can sit here and have tears. Peter just lost somebody that was very precious, and he shed some tears. I had just come back, I think, from the radio station, and I got a walk in the oven, and there’s Peter, and he just to cry.

Why, because he got some something that’s precious to him. And there’s some of you other, you’re going to go to think it’s going to be precious to you, but you’re going to hurt and you’re going to shed some tears. Paul went because of wrong doctrine that was in the church. He was always concerned about these false teachers that had come in and taken move you from the simplicity that is in Christ. Worn in about a false Christ and a false spirit and a false gospel because he didn’t want them to believe that.

that you might bear with them and you’ll listen to those false teachers and you’ll be led astray and I don’t want you to do that because he said I want to present you as a chase virgin to the Lord. I don’t want you to have spots all over yourself. I want you to be clean and stay clean and do right. And Paul wept because of a lack discernment of the Lord’s table because they were not able to discern spiritual things.

They couldn’t discern the Lord’s body. They couldn’t discern the things that they’re doing in their life and they don’t see it not that bad so they don’t correct things in their life and so they’re just hot hazard in their life and realizing that the Lord says that many are sick and some are weak and some are dead because of their lack of spiritual discernment and they can’t discern the things of this life. They can’t discern spiritual life, they can’t discern the things that are going on in this life, the things that they’re doing and how to love and to care for one another as we ought to.

So take your Bible and turn there to the book of 1 Corinthians in chapter 11. All these These remarks that I’ve made is just leading up to our Lord’s Supper. This is where we kind of tied all together. And in 1 Corinthians in chapter 11, he says in verse 28, let a man examine himself, not everybody else, just you. You just take care of you and let them take care of themselves for this moment. God will be able to use you in a greater way if you just do right yourself.

And he makes this statement, examine yourself and then let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup, because you can you discern the reason for doing this? The Lord’s Supper is a divine command. Well this is what God wants us to do. He wants us to come together. And he says, now I want you to examine yourself. I also want you to think about who I am and what I’ve done for you. So we look into the past and see what Christ did on the cross.

He paid for my sins. He came back from the dead. So that’s what He has done. He is alive forevermore. He is in heaven right now, interceding for us. Because see, this is a priestly ministry. This is what He’s doing. Now one day He’s going to come back and He’s going to have a Kingly ministry. going to rule and reign with Christ upon this earth. But he’s coming back, but he already came. And he is right now at this present time.

He knows exactly what’s going on in our life, everything that goes on. He keeps the books, and it’s so important. So is there things in your life that you have tolerated because of a lack of spiritual discernment? You didn’t think it was that bad or that wrong. And you go ahead and you don’t correct it. Did you know if you don’t correct it, God is going to have to correct you? And as He says down here in verse 30, for this calls many are weak, sickly among you and many sleep.

A lot of people were dead, dead like in dead dead, they were dead because of not discerning spiritual things. And then He makes his statement there in verse 31, for if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. Why should you examine your life? You’re looking for something. You’re looking for something that God may have to judge, that God may have to correct, God may have to chase, and God may have to discipline you on. And if you do it before he does, you’ll be better off.

I assure you. So this is not how to get to heaven. We go to heaven because of what Christ did on the cross for us. Pick up here. This hand represents you and me. This wallet represents sin. We all have sin upon us. God says that He loves us. He loves the whole world. He hates our sin because our sin has to be paid, which is eternal separation from God. In hell. And since we’re all condemned, we’re just waiting for the day of execution.

ages and is that we’re going to die. But to go to heaven, you have to be as perfect and righteous as God, no sin, and none of us are. We’ve all come short of God’s perfection. But God says that He loves us. And so He was willing to do something about the situation. You and I cannot save ourselves. This end represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. Came into the world because He loves us, hates our sin, because it separates us from Him.

So Jesus Christ who had no sin did not have to die. So He took all the sin of all the world, patron on the cross, came back from the dead, and said that if we would believe He did it for us, He would put this payment to our account, and we get to go to heaven on what Christ did. He did this for us. He made this payment for us, and we needed a payment for our sins. I don’t want to pay for mine.

He paid for it. So I believe He did it for me. And so when I believe He did it for me, He puts this payment back on. I get to go to heaven on what Christ did on the cross for me. That’s the best news in all the world. So I’m simply believing something that came to my mind just a minute ago. You see, Jesus Christ, He’s the Lord. He’s God in the flesh. He made a proposition. He took our sins and paid for them on the cross.

And He says, if we will believe it, He would give us as a free gift everlasting life. Me having everlasting life is the fulfillment of this proposition he made me. Said, if I would believe it, I would have it. If you’ll believe it right now, you can have it right now. The free gift of everlasting life. Let’s pray, shall we? With every head bowed and every eye closed and no one looking around. If you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, you may have heard about it, but you’ve never really trusted the Lord.

Joining this church won’t get you to heaven. given money will not get you to heaven. The only thing you have to do is will you believe that when Christ died, He died for you. He paid for your sins. Would you believe He did it for you? And if you will, God said He would save you right now, give you eternal life as a free gift. And you get to go to heaven on what Jesus Christ did. Would you do that?

I’m going to ask for a raise of hands in just a momentomore raising your!? Your hand doesn’t saveDownloadha you. It just lets me know that what I said made sense to you. And I like to know aundering. So I’d like to prepare for you davidjl So is anyone at all say yes that made sense to me and I’ll trust Christ as my Savior this morning. We’ll just slip you in it very quickly but right back down. Anyone at all?

God bless you, sir. Anyone else? Anyone else? If you trust Christ right now, yes God bless you, sir. If you trust Christ right now, He saves you right now and gives you eternal life and He’ll never cast you out and never lose you. Our Father, we thank you for this time together. Pelicans each one\\\\\\\\ and Fathernil that in In our lives, there’s going to be a lot of anguish of soul. There’s going to be a lot of grief. There’ll be a lot of tears shedutable to concentrate and cry about those things that are important because you gave us tear ducts and there’s things that we can cry about.

There’s things that we love and we hurt when we see others hurting too. Help us to care. There’ll be loving, forgiving, kind as we Assange to be. A lot of people are having a rough time. We ask your blessings upon those that indicate about an uplifted hand that they would trust your Savior. Thank you Lord, in Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
