The next one is, is this trouble from my sin? sin against God and I have produced this problem because of air in my own judgment. Is it possible that you could be suffering consequences because you sowed wild oaths and you’re reaping wild oaths? You sowed something and now you’re reaping it? Can it be because of your own decisions? What do you do when And if that’s the case, how do you handle it? Well, you know there’s a verse in the Bible in 1 John chapter one and verse nine.

I wonder what it says. Anybody got a clue what that verse says? 1 John 1, 9. Every child of God in this room ought to know that verse. If we what? If we what? If we confess our sin. That’s the Christian talking to God. So can Christians sin after they’re saved? Yes. And when you do, you don’t go to hell. You can’t go there. The penalty has already been paid for the sin. And that has been forgiven. But your fellowship that you have with God and with people is something that you take care of on a daily basis.

So you look at a problem that you haven’t and say, now did this come from God because God wants to correct me or discipline me in some area to help me to grow stronger in my faith because you don’t know if anything had done wrong. You can’t prove that it came from the devil. So you just go ahead and keep doing what’s right. But don’t let the things of this life turn you against God. Look at the last statement.

is this troubled just from the storms of life. You’re having the storms of life. Because as you live life, we live in a sinful world. They’re sinful people. We have a sinful government, in case you didn’t know that, sinful people are in government. And they don’t always do right. Some people get power hungry and they like to show you just their authority. And buddy, do they ever? And make all kinds of rules and regulations to make you jump through so many hoops so that you’ll remember who was in charge, but they forget.

We’re supposed to be in charge. We’re letting the servants tell the kings us what we can and cannot do. That’s not the way God designed it. But there is a way of escape. In the book of Corinthians in chapter 10 verse 13, no temptation has taken you but such as his common to man, but will with the temptation make a way of it, it seems God is faithful. It will not allow you to be tempted above that which you’re able, but will awake a make a way of escape that you may be able to bear it.

God promised that, believe that. Look at the next statement I have here, fear may be produced by the following. Now we’re in or running from problems that reveal cowardice. Maybe seen as the least desired trait of man. Most people do not like a coward. I mean if I was playing football and you hiked a ball to me and here’s the great big old guys coming after me. I’ll say if you want the ball you can have the ball. And I realize I’m supposed to run, and the scareder I am, the faster I’m going to run.

Now there’s times in your life when you have this thing called fear. It’s a great motivating factor, but so is love. Are you motivated by fear or love? You’re motivated by both, but you have to learn how it works. But understand this, in 2 Timothy 1, I want you to look at this verse. Look there in your Bible. 2 Timothy 1, 2 Timothy 1 and look in verse 7. Remember this, the fear did not come from God. He says here in verse 7, for God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mine.

Now the Bible also tells us that fear produces torment, produces suffering. When you’re afraid, it causes you to hurt, it causes you to be afraid. You know it’s costing you something. Fear is going to cost you something. One way or the other, it costs. I’m afraid to serve God and I’m afraid not to serve God. I have a fear of being a failure in serving God. But I also have a fear of not serving God and being a failure.

So I would rather attempt and fail than not to attempt at all. Some people are like the man that, you know, if you aim at nothing, chances are you’ll hit it. But it’s better to aim at something and miss than aim at nothing. So you got to make up your mind. What do you really want out of life? What does God word say that we should do? So look there in this statement underneath that last scripture reference that we just looked at.

What can cause you to be afraid? What I could not see scared me. What I could not see. See, you can’t see everything. You don’t know everything. You and I are very limited. We cannot see what’s coming down the road and that fear can cause you to be tortured. Did you realize that if you simply say you didn’t know the Bible, didn’t know God? You’re like looking at the things that are coming up on the earth is enough to cause fear in every individual.

It wasn’t about a week ago they show that a man having his head literally cut off from his body. Anybody see that? A few of you did. I’ve watched them. I’ve seen him take a man and just cut off his head. Now that’s what they want to do to us. Whether we like it or not, that’s their stated purpose, their stated ago, we either become a Muslim or die. There is no other alternative. Muslim or die. And we have them in America.

I love our country. Now I love our freedom. I love life. But I don’t like it when we don’t take and stop that stuff being taught in our own country. There ought not be one mosque allowed in this country. It’s a beachhead to produce the people with the philosophy to destroy our country. We want to have a dialogue with them. Let’s talk them out of it. They don’t want a dialogue. They want your death or surrender.

But anyway, I don’t want to get sidetracked this morning. So I’m going to refrain from saying what I really believe. Look back at your notes here. What I could not see can scare you. What I did not know, see there’s things that you don’t know, not only what’s going to happen, you can’t see some things you just don’t know, you don’t have all the answers. And sometimes you don’t know the people that know the answers. What I could not do, what I could not do, you and I are so limited to the ability, the talent, the nature of our bodies.

And there’s something that we just can’t do. You may want to do a lot of things, but you can’t do it. And you know that the longer you live, you’re running out of time. And you’re not going to be able to do all the things you ever wanted to do. You can’t go to all the places you’d like to go. And you may never be what you really want to be. Because just because the mind can conceive it doesn’t mean that the body can achieve it.

That’s not a true statement. Look at the next point. What I could not control, you’re going to live long enough to find there’s a lot of things you can’t control. You can’t make certain things happen. And there are some things that you can control. You can be afraid of what you can control because you know it’s your responsibility. It might be the responsibility of providing for your home, of having the money that you need, the job that you need, the health that you need.

And you see things coming down the road and you can’t always make things happen, even though you are in control of your own life. But all these things produce the fear. That’s why the Bible says in all of these things that can so destroy your life That’s why you need to trust the Lord Because just because you can’t see it. I’m gonna trust in somebody who does see it and Just because there’s some things that I don’t know I’m gonna trust the one that does know And just because I can’t do certain things I’m gonna trust the one that can do them and just because I can’t control everything I’m going to trust the one who can control it.

You see how that trusting the Lord can to take away a lot of the things that produce the fear because you and I cannot always control everything that happens to us. The next point I have done here, there are things that we should fear. There are things that God says we should fear. Proverbs chapter 1 and verse says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. So that means if you don’t know what God says, you’re not going to fear God the way you should.

You see, when you start studying the Bible, the Bible helps you to see God is awesome. Our God is an awesome God. He really is. So when you study the Bible and it’s beginning of wisdom, getting knowledge. He also says the fear of the Lord is to hate evil, the wisdom of God. So there’s so much that God wants for us, but man is so bent on his own way that he doesn’t listen to what God says. I have two great motivating factors in my life, the love and fear.

There’s the love of God and the fear of God. And when you fear man, that’s what makes you a coward. And nobody likes and appreciates cowards. Because you see, when you have the fear of God, then you don’t have to fear man. But when you don’t, you fear what’s coming. You feel problems. You feel the consequences because you can’t control it. You can’t make everything happen. And even though we want to, we can’t. I want you to take your Bible and look in Jeremiah chapter 17.

Jeremiah chapter 17. Jeremiah 17. Now if you have trouble finding some of these Old Testament books, you should have come to send the school this morning. We come talk about that just a little bit. But what I want you to see there in your notes, we should fear that we might forfeit something good now and for eternity. Did you realize that one of the reasons that I want to serve the Lord now is because I don’t want to forfeit anything good now and for eternity?

Think about it. Don’t that make sense? If I don’t serve God, I lose. If I don’t serve God and do what God wants to do in my life, I lose. I lose so much blessing that I could have now and there could be some faces that could have been in heaven that when I get to heaven that I’ll never see. that could have been there. I don’t want to forfeit anything good here and I don’t want to forfeit anything good there.

True sacrifice to the Lord has given up something here that doesn’t last forever anyway for something that does. Doesn’t sound like too much of a sacrifice does it? So he says here in the book of Jeremiah, Jeremiah chapter 17, look in verse 5, and verse 5 says, Thus saith the Lord, cursed be the man that trusted in man and the man that trusted man and make it flesh his arm. That means the power in himself and whose heart departed from the Lord curses the man who departs from God.

So here you are, you are an individual. You’re either getting closer to God or further from God. You’re either getting stronger in your faith to the Lord or you’re getting further away from you, either trusting Him or trusting you or trusting government. Everything’s under control. Just trust the administration. They’ll take care of you. Don’t you worry. If there’s anybody honest, it’s the congressman that we have. It’s the people in the way. You can always trust the politician.

A politician is somebody that can step all over your foot, and you apologize to him for doing so. You talk about the smoothest talkers in the world. They’re polished. But anyway, look down here, also at another verse. I want you to see that. Look in verse 9. The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know? Who can understand it? This is why you and I should not trust ourselves or to trust man. Man is, I saw in the front page of the paper this morning that this woman had some guy talk her out of a million dollars.

Anybody see that? On the front page of the paper today. See, some of you all didn’t even read the paper. That’s good. But in verse 10 he says, for I know. He says, I the Lord search the heart and try the reins even to give every man according to his ways and according to the foot of his doing. This is what God says he’s going to do. And you cannot trust that old sinful nature that you and I have.

And it produces fear because it doesn’t have the answers. And it’s not within man that walk of to direct his steps. We should fear the heart of man. You are not trust you. That old sinful nature that we have is wicked. But look at the last thing down here. There are consequences to living your life in fear. There’s consequences. But look what he says here in Jeremiah chapter 5. Jeremiah in chapter 5. 5 and look in verse 22 and 25.

This is on page 778 in one of the church Bibles, been verse 22, fear you not me, saith the Lord. Will you not tremble at my presence which have placed the sand for the bounds of the sea by a perpetual degree? That it cannot pass it and though the waves thereof tossed themselves, it can they not prevail? Though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? But this people hath a revolting and rebellious heart. They are revolted and gone.

Neither say they in their heart. Let us now fear the Lord, our God, that giveth reign, both the former and the latter in his season, that he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.” In the Lord, you would think that because of the goodness of God, it would lead men to to change their mind. Says that in the book of Romans. But here we are with people who have been given so much, blessed so much, and they do not fear God.

They have no respect for God. You see, do you have a respect for the Bible? A respect for God’s church, God’s people. And then look what he says here in verse 25. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholding good things from you. from you. Get that last part. Your sins have withholding good things from you. You forfeited something that you could have had. You said, well, it doesn’t matter anyway. You know, your decisions, you don’t weigh them.

You don’t really pray to God and ask for discernment about the decisions that you make. And it’s not going to cost me anything anyway. God says your sin. Well, with whole good things from you. You could have had something that you didn’t get because of the decisions that you make. See, that’s where I talk about I’m afraid to miss out on something good. I don’t want to miss out on anything good. Don’t that make sense? You’re following me? Can y’all understand what I’m saying?

Hello, wall. I I want you to get what I’m saying because it’s so important. Look there in Jeremiah chapter six. Jeremiah chapter six, and look in verse 16. In verse 16, he says, Thus saith the Lord, Stange in the ways and see and ask for the old pass. Where’s the good way and walk therein? And ye shall find rest for your souls, but they said, we will not. You ever see anybody that’s got just a plane, rebellious, hard-headed, you know, way about them.

It doesn’t matter what God says. God says, seek the old past. Well, don’t you know that this is the 21st century? Well, la de da. I don’t care what century it is. The word of God hasn’t changed. The nature of man hasn’t changed. Just because you’ve got a little bit more intelligent doesn’t make you more civilized. So he says, you do what I tell you to do. Seek the old path. You shall find rest under yourselves. Most people don’t have rest in their souls.

They are in a constant state of turmoil. It is just like the waves of the sea churning, churning, always churning. Wouldn’t you like to have to have some steel waters? Steel waters. To have the peace of mine. Hey, God’s still on the throne. I trust Him and trust the Lord to work it out. Look in chapter 10 of Jeremiah. Jeremiah chapter 10, and look in verse 23 and 24. these two verses I often refer to them because I love these verses.

I learned them about 30, 40 years ago, maybe longer than that, but he says in verse 23, oh Lord I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man that walk of two directest steps. See you are not smart enough to guide you. It is not within man that walk up to direct his steps. In verse 24, this is why he says, oh Lord, correct me. But with judgment, not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.

In other words, Lord, be cool about this now. When you got it correct me, don’t get too bent out of shape. I mean, I don’t want to hurt, just correct me. And I’m teachable, Lord, I’m pliable. And I’ve tried to stay that way with the Lord. Lord, you don’t have to put a two before over my head. If I know what you want to do, I’ll do it. Yeah, I’ll do it. Whatever it is, I’ll do it. But, temporal Lord, all of it, with mercy.

Do you want God to have to get the bull whip after you? I mean, do you want God to really get, you know, mean, negative with you with a cat of nine tails? Do you want God to have to take you home out of this world because you wouldn’t listen, because you’re hard headed? Or would you want to be sweet and teachable and pliable? Clay that he can mold, any way he wants. You see what he does is he brings you problems and based upon your yieldingness to the Lord, in the midst of all these things, it can make you hard.

And then if he does, he’s going to have to break you, or you can take and be some nice clay in his hands. Lord, I’m teachable. You can do anything you want with me, or you can take and have that steel rod in your back back and stiff neck and you lose, you lose. In 1 John chapter 4 verse 18, it simply talks about fear produces terror and a lot of God’s children produce terror in their Christian life. But perfect love does what?

Cast out, boy, you all have learned that, haven’t you? Most have already been through a few of God’s schools. You know, the school of hard knocks. You see, you can go to Bible school and you can go to all the schools in seminary and cemetery and you can go to all of the things you want. But there’s a school that God has for you that God’s gonna teach you. And you never graduate until you leave this world. That’s why we often hear people saying, they’ve graduated, they’ve gone on to be with the Lord.

So that’s when graduation is for us. And then there’s two verses that I put down at the bottom, and you’re supposed to look up those verses. But those two verses will really help you tremendously. And the God of peace will be with you. And in John chapter 14 verse one and two, hey, you believe in God believe also. And me and my father’s house, or many mentions, but we’re not so I would have told you. And I go to prefer a place for you.

You see, this isn’t all there is. There’s another place. And we wanna see all those faces of all those people that have been reached because of the ministry that you’ve had in other people’s lives. Look up here. I don’t want you reading your Bible now. I want you to look up here. Me. I don’t, if you’ve seen me do this a million times, you’re going to watch it one million and one.

But if you start acting like it’s nothing, no value to it, you might influence somebody else not to pay attention. You don’t want to do that, do you? Because then you might make God mad at you. And I would hate for a big old lightning bolt to come right down from that ceiling. And Zach, you’re right in that chair where you’re sitting. Wouldn’t that be terrible until? So if you see somebody not paying attention, move a little bit. Look over here, this is you and me.

This is sin. We all have sin on us. God says that He loves us. He hates our sin, but He loves us. And to go to heaven, well, you have to be perfect, but none of us are perfect. We’ve all sinned and because the wages of sin is dead, everybody’s condemned. But the Lord loves us. He wants us to go to heaven, but we can’t get there by our good deeds. Our good deeds will never pay for our bad deeds.

We have to pay for it because we’re guilty. So you cannot earn eternal life. You’ll never be good enough to go to heaven. I shouldn’t say good enough. You won’t be good at all. This is Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh came into the world because He loves us, hates our sin because our sin separates us from Him. So Jesus Christ who had no sin did not have to die. But he came into the world and he took our sins.

How many? All of them. Of all the world, paid for them on the cross, came back from the dead and said, Whosoever in the whole world, if you will believe that when he did this, he did it for you. He’ll put this payment to your account. And he says that when he came back from the dead, he was raised for our justification. He can justify us. In other words, by taking our sins, He gives us His righteousness, and so before God we’re justified just as if I had never sinned.

I am just. God can find no fault in me. I’m going to have a not because I’ve been good. I’m going to have a because of the payment He made for me. He paid for my sins. And if He paid for my sins, it means I don’t have to pay for my sins. Should I? Sure I should. But I’m so glad I don’t have to pay for one of my sins. He paid for all of them. And when you believe he did it for you, he gives you as a free gift, eternal life, and he’ll never cast you out and never lose him.

Best news in all the world. Let’s pray, show me. With every head bowed and every eye closed and no one looking around, if you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you right now just talk to the Lord and say something simple like this? Lord, I’m a sinner. But I believe when Christ died, He died for me. And today I trust him as my Savior. Right now I believe on Jesus Christ as the one who paid for my sins and came back from the dead.

Friend, if you’ll do that, God said he would save you and give eternal life. And if you’re making that decision, I’d like to have prayer for you. So I’m gonna ask in just a moment to raise your hand, raising your hand doesn’t save you. It just lets me know that what I said made sense. And I’d like to know, and I’d like to have prayer for you. And so is there anyone at all before we close? Yes, preacher, that made sense to me.

And I will trust Christ right now as my Savior. We’ll just slip you in a very quickly and put a right back down. And then we’ll do it all. Then we’ll do it all. You that are watching by the internet understand this. Right where you are, you too. And say, yes, I will accept Christ as my Savior. And God will save you and give you a free gift of eternal life. And you can know that you’re going to heaven when you die.

And right on the screen, there’s a little button. says, yes, I trust Christ as my Savior. Let us know. Just click it on. It’s all you have to do. We appreciate it. Father, we thank you so much for your love for us. For giving all these things that we’ve talked about today, information in your words so that we can know and understand. Yes, there’s problems in this world. But we also have a solution, a solution to everything. Give us a strength and a grace that we need to walk with you to trust you in Christ’s name.

Hello, this is Peter Amato, and from all the staff at Bibleline, we want to thank you for tuning in to today’s program. This month, we’d like to send to our listeners and supporters the book, The Declaration of the Gospel. This is yet another book authored by Dr. Arnold, and it addresses the concerns over what is called the Crossless Gospel. Is it enough to simply tell someone to believe in Jesus for them to be saved? Does the topic of sin need to be addressed in order for someone to understand what the gospel really is?

What are the essential points that a lost man must be told in order for him to be saved and what does believing in Jesus really mean? These are just a few of the topics that are covered in this book. So for the month of May, when you send a gift in any amount, we’re going to give you the book, The Declaration of the Gospel. Your mailing address is 4811 George Road, Tampa, Florida, 33634, and don’t forget to include your mailing address as well.
