Anyway, then he says here in verse 17, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together together with them in the cloud to meet the Lord there, not here. We’re going to meet Him there. And so shall we ever be with the Lord. So from after this point we will always be wherever He is, we’re going to be with Him. We are the body of Christ, the body of believers. From this period of time, until this pitter time the rapture takes place we are going to be the bride of Christ and then the Bible says we’re going to something so we are going to have a reunion so you know that look at number three there in your notes and you’ll see that rewards will be given we’re gonna leave here and we’re gonna go there we’re going to a place where there’s gonna be this judgment it’s called the beam of

see this a rewarding stand. We’re not going there to be beaten. We’re not going there to get 40 lashes. We’re not going there to pay for our sins. Our sins were paid for right here on the cross. We’re not going to the jubbins of the Christ to receive any kind of punishment of any kind. That’s been taken care of. Christ took the punishment for my sins. They removed as far as the east is from the west and the twain shall never meet again.

They are never coming back. They can never be brought up. What the rewarding stand is, is where God is going to reward us for what we did. And a lot of people have wasted their lives. God has given to some of us, maybe 20, 30, 40, He’s given me 53 years to live after I trusted Him in my Savior. 53 years. Do I have to give account to God for those 53 years? If He came today, I got to I’ve given account for those 53 years.

What is of value, what I did for Christ, will last, as they heard that little book. Only one life will soon be passed and only what’s done for Christ will last. So in our life, we are laying up treasure in heaven by your obedience to God, you’re laying up treasure in heaven. And God says that when you lay it up in heaven, you cannot lose your reward. And Matthew chapter 10, he says, you shall in no wise lose your reward.

Rewards once they’re earned cannot be lost. You can lose what you could have had because there’s a God in heaven that says, this is what I want to give you. And you can lose all of that by your disobedience because you didn’t get it. This is what I’m gonna give you for your obedience. Now, I’m gonna send you a lot of trials and testing and you’re gonna go throw a lawful lot down there, but if you love me and you’ll be faithful, this is what I’m gonna give you.

And so a lot of people will not love the Lord enough. They’ll love the world more than they love God. They’ll love their own way more than they love God. Is it gonna cost them? It’s gonna cost them plenty. Or it doesn’t cost them eternity to be with the Lord in heaven. Going to heaven, that was free. That was to show you how much God loved you and how much you love me. Now what you do with your life is your way of saying thank you to the Lord.

This life is just your way to show God you love Him. Now do you love God more than you love the world? Do you love the Lord more than you love your family? Love the Lord more than you love money or fame or popularity. God says if you don’t love Him more, He says you can’t be my disciple because you love something more than man. And so life is just a nice long little test of showing what first in your life.

says if you seek his righteousness. All these other things will be added unto you. But you can forego that and reject that and seek the things of the world and you are going to lose. Because God’s going to strip everything away and your whole life will be a wasted life. As Zalaman says, it’s all vanity and vexation and sphere. In other words, hay, wood and stubble. And those are the things that God says is going to be burn up.

It’s a waste of time. God is not going to reward you for wasting your time. He’s only going to reward you for investing your time for His cause, for the gospel, for Christ’s sake. You do that for Him and you will win. But nobody can make you do that. Nobody can make me trust Christ as my Savior and nobody can make you trust Christ as Savior. So what does he say? He says this day is going to happen. It’s coming.

Look there in the book of 2 Corinthians in chapter 5, 2 Corinthians and chapter 5. Awesome verse here. 2 Corinthians chapter 5, look in verse 10. Now many of you know these words, these verses very well, but there’s nothing like a nice little refresher course. Stimulate your mind again for you to examine where am I? How am I doing. An unexamined life is not worth living. Here in verse 10, look what he said, for we must all appear before the judgments of the Christ.

Look up here. For we must all, this is all the believers, talking to those who know the Lord. This is found in 2 Corinthians. These Corinthian Christians were very worldly minded, carnally minded, babes in the Lord. They were not the spiritual giants. They had 14 major problems in their church. They were not walking close to the Lord. There were divisions and envy and in bitterness and strife and all the things that you can imagine, they were doing it. They were having the Lord suffer and getting drunk.

Man was sleeping with his wife. I mean, that’s normal. He was but with the mother. Well, it may not be as normal, I don’t know. But they were wicked, wicked. And he’s telling them, look, God’s not going to take away your salvation. That wasn’t the issue. That means you weren’t really saved. He didn’t say that. He said, I got some news for you. We all must stand at the judgment seat of Christ. You see, going to heaven, that’s a gift.

That’s because of what Christ did for me. He loved me so much. He loved you so much. He would rather die than live without you. He loved you so much. He paid for everything you have ever done wrong so that you wouldn’t have to pay for it. And He’s still on top of that some people were rejected. But that payment He made is only put to your account when you believe He did it for you. When you believe He did it for you, He puts that payment to your account, you get to go to heaven on what Christ did.

Salvation is the gift of God, it’s not a works. So we’re not talking about trying to be good to go to heaven. I’m already going. I was going to heaven 53 years ago in that little low living room when I trusted Christ. That’s what’s getting me to heaven, Him. But since I’m going to heaven, He gave me 53 years so far to live. So what am I, What have I been doing with it? So God wants me to stand at this judgment of Christ.

For we must all appear at the judgment of Christ. The word appear, I love it. Because you see, he says you’re down here, you’re gonna be changed in a moment, Franklin of an eye. It means you’re gonna disappear here. And you’re going to appear there. We are going to appear at the judgment of Christ. This is a rewarding stand. So God is the one who knows every one of his children. He knows everything about your life. He knows about your home life, your work life, your social life.

He knows about your church. He knows everything about you. He knows every trial and tribulation you had. And he’s keeping the books. He’s got a good memory. He’s God. You can’t hit a delete on God, sir. Oh, I want God as a memory. God sees and knows everything and he says that he’s going to bring you into account. Romans 14 says, everyone shall give an account to God. So all of us, no Christ is Savior, you can’t make anybody else serve God.

You can’t make somebody love God. You can’t make them respond right in life. You can’t make people less loved than one another. You can’t make it. All you can be responsible for is you. You. You can encourage others and you can discourage others, but God’s gonna hold you responsible and accountable. And he says that if you serve him, he’s gonna reward you. And if you don’t, you’re gonna suffer the loss of what you could have had. But according to 1 Corinthians 3, you’re still saved.

Still saved. But look what it cost you. And we’re not talking about just a little bit of time on her. We’re talking about eternity. The rewards of God are eternal rewards. I can’t find the time limit them. They’re eternal rewards. So whatever you do for the Lord, it’s going to last for eternity. You know, that’s a long time.

And so he says here that everyone that knows Christ the Savior may receive the things done in his body. That’s since you’ve been in this body, good or bad. Now the sin, this obedient, been paid for. But the good or fruitful or fruitless, because you gave God your time or you did not give God your time. And the haywood’s double is all gonna be birthed, a wasted life. Not going to pay for sin, they’ve been taking care of. But you’re gonna suffer the results of your disobedience when you get to heaven because of not getting rewards that you could have received.

It should behoove every Christian to want to live for the Lord. But you have to make up in your mind yourself. Nobody can make you trust the Lord. So look at number four and take your Bible and turn to Hebrews in chapter four. This is the time, this is the world in which we live, and this is where we work. We work, work, work, because the Bible says there’s coming a day in which no man can work. In other words, there’s coming a time when you can’t do anymore.

There’s been times in the Old Testament where people were going to die and they said, Lord, if you take me home, I won’t be able to do anything for you. I won’t be able to praise you. I won’t be able to do anything. Let me live. Well, what would be your case? Lord, I haven’t done anything for you. If you let me have another 10 years, I’ll blow that too. You want to live because you have a purpose for living, and your purpose for living is not for you.

It’s for the Lord. Now, in reality, what is your purpose for life? Are you wanting to do what God wants you to do? Or do you have dreams of your own? You want to get rich, you want to be famous, popular, whatever it might be. Do you, what’s your dream? Is it God’s or is it yours? There’s a difference. And you’re gonna find out when you get to heaven, you wasted your life chasing soap bubbles. You’ve seen when they, those little bubbles go all over the place and then it starts coming down, you try to catch them and you’re handing them, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah, pah.

And that’s all some people are doing, is just chasing soap bubbles. That’s all their life amounts to them. Or you can put God’s word into practice. Here in the book of Hebrews in chapter four, down in verse nine says, there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Now, there is a time, look up here, I just wanna show you that. God promised to the nation of Israel, and this is in the book of Hebrews, that in the law, they were looking for this period, this kingdom that God was gonna set up on the earth.

There’s gonna be a time of rest. When the world was gonna be totally changed, going to be like the Garden of Eden, Christ was coming back, King David he was going to row and they look forward to the kingdom. Well, man, they messed up. They messed up bad. But this right here is called the Davidic Millennial Kingdom. This is the one God promised them back there, but they kept rejecting their king. They rejected their prophet. They rejected, rejected. So it’s been postponed.

And so Israel has no king, so no kingdom. So God says there’s going to be this kingdom. But see this is also called a day of rest. You see one day with the Lord of the thousand years, the thousand years of the day, and so many people say well from Genesis to the flood, about 2,000 years from the flood into Christ, about 2,000 years from Christ until now is about 2,000 years. And so he created all and did everything six days and seventh day he rested.

So we’ve got two, four, six, six thousand years, six days, day of rest, six days, seven day rest. There remain a day of rest for the people of God. Right now we work. There’s things for us to do. We’re trying to win as many people as we can to Christ. We want to seek to be as godly as we possibly can because it’s a day coming when no man can work. We won’t be able to do what we’re doing like now.

This is a wonderful privilege that God has given to us. And it’s limited because we’re going to die here. If God doesn’t come back and take us out, we’re going to die. I was thinking the other day. I’m 73 years old, 72 I think. Well, kind of time I was in my mother’s womb, 73 years old. Well, that ought to count. I was still here. Or don’t get upset about abortion if they’re not real. Anyway, I was here and I think in seven more years seven more years I’ll be 80 years old 80 that’s old I’ll be an old man and then you think when I’m 80 in 10 short little years I’ll be 90 Man makes guys start sweating a little bit.

I didn’t care when I was Young if I lived to be 70 But when I got 69, you know, kind of bothers you a little bit, but you want to live as long as God wants you to live so that you can do as much as you possibly can. Because the day is going to come when no man is going to be able to do anything. So don’t you think it behooves every one of us to live for the Lord while we can?

Because we know this is going to happen because God’s word says it’s going to happen. So there is that coming and there is also for the Christian who matures in the Lord. If you mature in the Lord, you will learn that there is a rest for the people of God. You’ll learn how to trust the Lord and not worry. Now you may a little bit, but when you come spiritually stronger in the Lord, the things of life doesn’t bother you as much if you’re strong in the Lord.

know where it comes from, you know what’s going on, you know the purpose of life you understand it. You know you’re going to have the temptations, you got the trials and all of these things and you kind of grew up growing and maturing and so you know now how to just trust the Lord. I’m just going to trust the Lord to walk me through every problem, it doesn’t matter. And I don’t have to get upset and worry so much about what everybody says about me.

Nobody loves me. I know God does. So if God loves me, who are you compared to God? God’s judgment is not that bad. And he loves me. So who got the bad judgment here? Not God. He loves me. I’m somebody. You know how come I know I’m somebody? He says I am. I was worth dying for. He loved me that much. So I don’t have pity parties for myself anymore. Nobody would come. I don’t have this bad image. You know, I got this bad image.

So I thought, oh, you got to pray for this. You got a bad self-image. Well, I’ll stop looking in the mirror. You have an inferiority complex. It might be because you’re inferior. I don’t worry about that stuff. Look, see yourself the way God sees you. God loves you. You are important to him, and he left you here because there’s an important job for you to do. And you’re the one that determines whether you do it or not. Nobody else can do that.

Nobody can make you serve God. I wish I had a way of doing it, but I can’t. Look at number five, riches and glory. Join heirs with Christ. Stop and think about this. Hebrews in chapter 1 it says that he spoke in time past unto the fathers and so forth to the prophets, but he says in these last days has spoken unto by his son whom he hath made air of all things, air of all things, and I’m joiners with Christ, air of God and join every name.

Whatever he has, hey, it’s joint, but the greatest thing you’ll ever know, it’ll help you tremendously. If you’ll realize you’re rich. You’re already rich. Because see, the things of this world, if you were a billionaire, when you die, when Buffett dies, how much is he going to leave? And when I die, how much am I going to leave? We came into the world naked, we’re going to leave naked. Now that’s a terrible thing to think about. But God says lay up treasure in heaven so you can be rich in the Lord.

Treasures in heaven. If he doesn’t know Christ is Savior, he’s a poor man. If he doesn’t know the Lord, he’s a poor man. Not if he is or not. I don’t know if you trust the Lord. But I understand. He’s got him. Bill Gates got a lot of money too, don’t he? He got a couple hundred dollars. So, a rich man. But if he doesn’t know the Lord, he’s a poor man. He’s poor. He’s wretched. He’s blind. He’s all those things.

But God loves, and the most important thing is God says in His word in the book of 2 Corinthians in chapter 5, 4, and verse 7, he says, we have this treasure in earthen vessels, a treasure, what treasure? The gospel, the knowledge on how to go to heaven. You see, you had cancer, you hoped you could find the doctor that has a cure. But when you’re talking about how to go to heaven, that knowledge is powerful. That’s what makes you rich.

You know something a lot of people don’t know. And when they get ready to die, they would give all their money to know what you know. Appreciate that. Number six, reigning in royalty. The Bible says we’re strangers and pilgrims in this world. Strangers you’re away from home, pilgrims you’re going home. That shouldn’t make you strange or a pill. You are a stranger you’re away from home, but you’re a pilgrim because we’re going home. And it’s just we’re here temporarily.

God has just left us here temporarily because there’s a job that he wants us to do. And so therefore we should do it. So is Christ coming back? Yes, coming back. And it could be today. But we should live every day looking up. If you ever listen to the Bibleline radio broadcast, every time it says, keep looking up, keep looking up. And that’s what we need to do. Could be the day. Wouldn’t it be wonderful? All of a sudden, all of a sudden, we’re all out of here.

But what about some of you that might be here and you’ve never trusted the Lord, oh you’ve heard about it, but there’s no guarantee you’re going and you don’t know for sure that if you died, you’d go to heaven. But you can take care of that. You can take care of that. You say, what do I gotta do? Give me all your money, no. But look up here, I wanna show you this. This hand represents you and me, the wallet represents sin.

We all have sin on us. See, all of us do wrong. All of us have done bad. And we’ve got to pay for it. The payment is death in hell. God won’t be satisfied by nothing else to buy except taking your life. The wages of sin is death. You did it, you owe it. So that’s why God wants us to go to heaven because He loves us, but He hates our sin. And we can’t go to heaven with our sin.

So how is God gonna get me in and keep this out? You and I couldn’t find a way because we are sinners and we can’t separate ourselves from it. So what Christ did, there’s a way Christ came into the world. The Lord God Himself, perfect, no sin. We have sin, but not Him. He’s righteous. He’s perfect. He didn’t know wrong. So He didn’t have to die. But because He loved us, He said He’d take our place. So He died in our place.

He took all the sin of all the world, that debt that we had. He paid for it. He paid my sin debt. Came back from the dead. And He said that if I would believe that He did it for me, He would put the payment He made to my account. I go to heaven, what He did. I didn’t earn it. I don’t deserve it. I’m a sinner. So are you. all sinners, everybody in the whole world. When he paid for our sins, he did it for everybody in the world and offers it to everybody who soever it would believe you would not perish.

I mean, go to hell, but have eternal life. So that’s why I can’t go to hell because he says, if I believe it, I shall not perish. I mean, I can’t go to hell. Why can’t I go to hell? Because he says I can’t go to hell. Why? Because I believe it. Either you believe it or you don’t believe it. I don’t have any sins to pay for. He paid for my sins. That’s why the most five powerful words in the whole world of God is Christ died for my sins.

Why am I going to heaven? Christ died for my sins. That’s why I’m going to heaven. It’s not because I have been good. Very good. I have been very good. Yeah, see that guy worked. Now, nothing comes up close to those who died for my sins. That’s why I’m going to heaven. That’s the only reason anybody goes to heaven. You’re not going to heaven because you go to church. You don’t go to heaven because you’ve been good, because you haven’t been.

I hate to break your heart. You have not been good enough. No one has ever lived good enough to go to heaven by their good deeds. It’s the gift of God. Best news in all the world. Let’s pray, shall we? Every head, bottom, every eye, close, and no one looking around. If you hear this morning and I’m never trust Christ as your Savior. Would you trust Him? Would you believe that when He died, He died for you? Don’t you want to go to heaven?

You know, if you don’t trust the Lord, you’ll spend eternity separated from God in hell. And if you’re watching by internet, right there on the screen, it says, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior. If you’ve never done so, would you do it right now? Would you You just click and say, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior. We don’t know who you are. It just lets us know that you listened and you said you would trust Christ as your Savior.

But if you’re in the auditorium and if you’ve never trusted the Lord, would you right now in the quietness of this moment? Just talk to the Lord and say something simple like this, Lord, I know I’m a sinner. And I believe that when Christ died, He died for me. And right now I will trust Him as my Savior. my only hope of going to heaven. Would you do that? Would you trust Him? And if you will, I’m going to ask you to raise your hand in just a moment.

Raising your hand doesn’t save you. It just lets me know that what I said made sense to you. I’d like to pray for you and I’d like to know. So is there anyone at all before we close? Just slip you in a very quick and put it, yes, I trust Christ as my Savior today and put it right back down just as quick as you can. Yes, God bless you, buddy. Anyone else? Just slip it up real quick and better write that down.

Other others. Hard to see everybody at all at one time. Especially when they don’t have the glasses on and don’t see it too good out there. Anyone else before we close? Our Father, we do thank you so much for your goodness to us. For giving us these things written in your word. We also pray, especially Lord, for the one that indicated they would trust your Savior. Because when they do, that you promise them eternal life as a gift that you’ll never cast them out and never lose them.

We ask our blessings upon each one here as they think about the things that we’ve discussed. You’re coming back soon. We’re going to stand at the Jefferson City of Christ. And they come to time when nobody can do anymore. Our opportunity is here. And this life will all be over. But Father, we know that we’ll be with you for all eternity. So bless each one in Christ and we pray. Hello, this is Peter Amato. from all the staff at Bibleline, we want to thank you for tuning in to today’s program.

This month, we’d like to send to our listeners and supporters the book, The Declaration of the Gospel. This is yet another book authored by Dr. Arnold and it addresses the concerns over what is called the Crossless Gospel. Is it enough to simply tell someone to believe in Jesus for them to be saved? Does the topic of sin need to be addressed in order for someone to understand what the gospel really is? What are the essential points that a lost man must be told in order for him to be saved and what does believing in Jesus really mean?

These are just a few of the topics that are covered in this book. So for the month of May, when you send a gift in any amount, we’re going to give you the book, The Declaration of the Gospel. Our mailing address is 4811 George Road, Tampa, Florida, 33634, and don’t forget to include your mailing address as well. God bless you and thank you again for supporting Bible On.

Thanks for joining us on Bibleline. If you are in the area, we welcome you to visit us. The address for Calvary Community Church is 4811 George Road, Tampa, Florida, 33634. And now, a closing thought from Pastor Arnold. Friend, one day it will happen. The trumpet will sound, and we will be changed. Hada! To meet the Lord in the air. So live today and every day. Believe in that the Lord is coming soon. Just keep looking up.
