So here he talks about, you know, here’s brother and sister. got a problem with big brother. They said, well, God can speak to us too. So look what the Lord did. And you won’t find this too many places, but it says here in verse 3, now the man Moses was very meek. Doesn’t mean he was weak, but then meek he probably did not misuse his power that he had. He probably could have been stronger on some of his actions than somebody else would have.
There’s a lot of people who are yet strength but me. It’s like a stow in a horse, but because of the bits and the mouth is under control. There was time when Moses would be a very meat man. He was a powerful man because of the position, but because he was under God’s authority, he was under control. So he was a meatman power under control. Now a lot of people can’t handle positions of leadership because it goes to their head too much power.
They don’t know what to do with it. They become so dictatorial, authoritative, and so on. And it can happen. But he says here, now the man Moses was very meek above all the men which were upon the face of the earth. In other words, nobody quite liked this guy. But remember this, there was a time in Moses’s life when he was still down in Egypt when he was about 40 years of age. He already made up his mind. He believed that God was going to use him to deliver Israel from Egypt and sought to do it, David in Lyon his own.
But he believed And he was the man. And it says that in the book of Acts, chapter 7, you read it. And then lo and behold, he runs on the backside of a desert for 40 years, and now he really doesn’t care. When God says, I got a job for you, he says, not me. Well, I want you to go down there and ask, why should I do it? I can’t talk and he gave him five reasons and God gave him five answers.
In other words, God wouldn’t accept none of his reasons. And see, Moses was a meek man. He had done learned humility. I can’t do it. I can’t, I can’t. I’m not the man. Now, there’s a lot of times you can have so much confidence in your own abilities and own talents that God will let you get out on a limb and then what somebody saw it off just to show you. One thing God hates and that is pride. But look what he says here.
In verse four, the word suddenly, Yoranda Lanth, and the Lord spake suddenly undimoses and unto Aaron and unto Maryam, come out, E3. All three of y’all, come in here, I wanna talk to you. Come out, E3, unto the tabernacle of the Congregation, and they three came out. The Lord came down in the pillar of a cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle and called Aaron and Maryam, and they both came forth. And he said, here now my words, if there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in a dream.
My servant, Moses is not so, who is faithful in all my house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth. He speaks the words straight to Moses. Not in a dream and not in a vision, but word to word. And he speaks to him. And so he talks to Moses. And then he says this. He says in verse eight, even apparently and not in dark speeches and the similitude of the Lord shall he uphold. Wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses.
And just because well, that’s my brother. It doesn’t matter if it’s your brother. Now he’s not just brother. This is a man of God. And you have to be careful. Do you know what you need to be careful ofIncreases163.ortium???params Priebus? is denigrating or holding a less value people in your own household while you exalt other people that are not family. You watch don’t mistreat family Don’t mistreat your brother or your sisters or your mother or your father Just because well their family You ought to treat them better than anybody else Think about it and get true Shouldn’t you treat your wife better than you treat other women?
Shouldn’t you treat your husband better than you treat other men? shouldn’t you treat them the right way? You say, well, it doesn’t matter. Nobody knows. There’s a God in heaven that hears every argument. Donnie? Well, it’s at dark time you can cut off the light and he can’t hear and he can’t see. So he doesn’t know what’s going on. Well, don’t you? What else he says here in verse 8? He says, why were you not afraid? Look in verse 9, and the anger of the Lord was kindled against them and he departed.
And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle and, behold, Miriam became leopress. Huy us knowin’ Aaron looked upon Miriam and saw that she was leopress. And he said unto Moses, I’ll ask my Lord, I be see see lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly and wherein we have sin. Isn’t that a way that sometimes you just get them to quickly admit they were wrong? Moses didn’t have to do this to them. That’s why he’s talking about him being meek.
But the Lord nailed him. And he says in verse 12, let her not be as one dead of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comeeth out of his mother’s womb. And Moses cried unto the Lord. Now he’s praying. Now see over there in the book of Genesis where he was talking about Abraham, he prayed for his nephew. Here, even though Moses had been wronged by two of them in his family, close to him, he now prays for them.
It doesn’t say, you know, goody, goody, gotcha. You deserve everything that’s happened to you. No, he says, and Moses cried unto the Lord. Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee. And the Lord said in to Moses, if her father had but spit in her face, would she not be ashamed seven days? In other words, to incur the wrath of her father, she ought to be ashamed of herself that he would have to do something like that. He says, this is a verse that says it’s okay to spit in your daughter’s face.
Evidently. Hopefully you never have to do that. But I’ve seen times when you might want to slap their jaws. But anyway, so Miriam had to stay outside of the camp for seven days. And the whole camp had to stay still for seven days. Two million people, whatever they had, all because of one woman. But Moses prayed for his sister. It could have been bad she would have died for papillopacy. But he intervened on her behalf. See, sometimes you’ll find out there’ll be people that were wrong.
You’re so what? Forgive them and pray for them and try to do right by them. Let me give you one more that I want you to see. Look here in the book of Judges, the book of Judges, right after the book of Joshua. Judges chapter 16, not long ago I mentioned to you about this, and we had a few little comments about Samson. Now you know that Samson was a pretty strong individual. Had to do with his physical strength.
And his long hair was because of a Nazarite vow. And there were certain things that they were not supposed to do, but he didn’t always do what he was supposed to. And he looked a little bit too far and he saw a woman that he was not supposed to have. Anybody remember her name? Delilah. Delilah. I met a Delilah not long ago. I don’t know if it was at ranch or camp but I saw Delilah somewhere. Oh, she came over here one day and I met her.
Yeah, her name was Delilah. I’ve never heard anybody name a new kid Delilah. It’s like naming him Judas, you know. He just don’t do that, you know, but she seemed to be nice and friendly. She didn’t even act like she ever heard of Delilah before. But anyway, Samson had done some things wrong. He married up with this one woman, Delilah. I went to the wrong barbershop. This is why you don’t go to a girl’s barber shop. No, that’s not true.
I got in my hair cut by women a lot of times. But there’s something that he says over and over again. About three times here. I want you to look at in verse seven. Samson said unto her, if they bind me with seven green with they that were never dried, then shall I be weak and be as another man. Just to be like other people, in other words, he knew. He was not like everybody else. He knew he was different.
He was different. And when you’re the strongest man in the world, I guess you might get a little hottie because of it. Especially when you knew you could whoop anybody. He took the ass of a jawbone and it killed a thousand Filipinos. I used to live in, but anyway, you have a guy that could kill that many. And then of all the foxes he took and caught, you got to catch them first, and then pie their tails together. And then set them on fire.
And then they go to the cornfield. Set all the places on fire. I mean, he was one bad dude. He just didn’t mess with him. He could just take and walk up and pick up the gates off of the city walls and just walk off of them. That mean incredible strength. But the strength that he had was because of the Holy Spirit. it. It wasn’t because he got and then he did, you know, he pumped iron every day because he really worked at it.
No. Didn’t look what he says in verse 11. And he said unto her, if they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak and be as another man. I will be weak. I’ll be just like everybody else. But he knew he wasn’t like everybody else, but he didn’t know he was being set up. I preached a sermon on this thing one time called the binding, the blinding, and the grinding. So you have a man that had incredible strength and he knew it.
But his enemies were trying to figure out what made him so strong until finally they found out what it was cut off his hair cut off his hair and he’d be just like anybody else. It’s literally says in verse 16 and he came to pass when she pressed him daily with her words and urged him so that he’s so vexed unto death. So that’s a woman who just won’t let it alone. This man man told me, he says, I’m not saying my wife is a nag but she has to go to the blacksmith shop to get her shoes.
So he says in verse 17, that he told her all his heart and said unto her, there have not come a razor upon my head, for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb. If I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak and be like other men. And lo and behold, the lady’s barbershop finally won. And he lost his hair and he lost his strength. He lost his eyes and he became ashamed to the Lord.
And God was very disple Malkus. Now could God have kept, kept this from happening to him? Did he? No. God let him suffer consequences of his bad decision. But notice in verse 22 something very important. now they took him and they blinded. They took his eyes out of his head. Burn him, burn out his eyes and brought him down to Gaza and bound him with feathers and brass and he did grind in the prison house in verse 21. Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again.
I wonder why he even mentioned that, but he does because the hair was the sign of his vow and the Bible says that that he had made some bad decisions with the woman, with the things that he did, the way he treated his parents. He was so disrespectful of them. And he not supposed to touch anything dead, but he killed a lion and they had some bees and they made some honey and he got some honey out of there and he gave him a riddle.
All these are very interesting stories. But This was on… All about God’s honor. Remember, everything is always about God’s honor. God wants us to honor Him in everything that we do and what brings honor to the Lord. That’s why God gets a little angry when we dishonor those who are serving Him in doing what’s right. Make sure you’re careful in what you say and do. And also to realize this, if you’ll notice in verse 1, you’ll be able to do that.
23, then the Lord of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice in the day gone, their God, and to rejoice. For they said, our God have delivered Samson, our enemy into our hand. Their God didn’t do it. It was our God that did it. God’s the one that gave him over. God the Holy Spirit is the one that left him. it was the Holy Spirit that did these things. And it could have been in totally a different way.
But notice what else he says here. He says in verse 25, And it came to pass when their hearts were merry that they called for Samson. That he may make us sport and they call for Samson out of the prison house and he made them sport and they set him between the pillars. And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, suffer me and permit me that I may feel the pillars were upon the house standeth that I may lean upon them.
Now the house was full of men and women and all the lords of the Philistines were there and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women that beheld how Samson made sport. In other words they were making fun of the man and Samson called unto the Lord. Samson is going to pray. Now he’s going to talk to the Lord. He’s going to ask God. He wants to do something and he says, oh Lord, remember me. I pray thee, strengthen me.
I pray thee this one time just so that I can avenged him for my eyes. And so God did and he killed more people than at one moment than he did in his whole lifetime as he says in the last part of verse 30. So did he do it? Yeah, he did it. Now take a Bible look in 2 Samuel in chapter 12, 2 Samuel in chapter 12.
2 Samuel chapter 12. You know this is the story where David had sinned against the Lord. When he should have been fighting in a battle, he stayed back and saw a woman, lusted after her and committed a don’t train. Then he had to commit a murder to cover up for that sin. So in verse 12 he makes this statement as the Nathan the prophet is talking to him. He says, for thou did it in secret, but I will do this thing before all israel and before the sun.
And David said in the Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord and Nathan said to David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin, thou shalt not die. How be it, because by this deed, and here’s something that’s so important for all Christians to remember, thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme. They blaspheme the Lord. They mock God. Look what you have done. You have shamed God. And see, this is one thing God wants to get on or out of your life.
And if not by life, then by death. Godulnerts to let you know you can’t just do whatever you want to do and get away with it. There’s a price to pay. And if we read the Scriptures and understand it and believe it, it would help us to realize how important this is. But look in 1 Samuel 17, 1 Samuel and chapter 17. Samuel 17. Everybody has heard of the story, that wonderful story of David and Goliath. See, I didn’t even have to say the other word.
David and Goliath. David did not look for trouble, but he recognized it and he stood up to it and he defeated it. You see there in these simple little verses in 1 Samuel 17, God has a calling. God has a calling. And this young man, God had already called him and anointed him to be the next king. And there’s also this conflict. There was a conflict, there was a goliath. An external, an internal with the brothers. So he had family problems also, and he had the external problems of Goliath.
And what was his biggest reason for wanting to fight this Goliath? Because in verse 26, in the last part of that verse, well, let’s just read the whole verse 26, and David spake to the men that stood by him saying, what shall be done to the man that that kill of this Philistine and take the way the reproach from Israel. For who is he? Who is he that he could stand up there and defy the armies of the living God?
As though he’s somebody and we had to tremble because we’re afraid of this one guy. And here we are living in America. And are there giants today? Any giants in the land? Giants is nothing is nothing but a big problem. Do we have big problems today? We have big problems. But we have a God that can deliver us from all of our problems. All we have to do is just be faithful. He said, well, what if they kill you?
Well, He delivered me from all of my problems. I don’t have to be guaranteed to live through my problems. I’m just got trust the Lord to deliver me from my problems. However, He wants to do it. If God allows me to die, then so be it. He allows me to live, so be it. I don’t have to solve the world’s problems. I just got to solve that one problem between me and God, and that is will I honor God, whether by life or death.
And so problems are going to come. He did not go looking for Goliath, but he came across Goliath and realized there’s a problem there. And but he there was a problem. So he says in verse 29, is there not a cause? Is there not a cause? You see down in verse 12, 37, David brags on the Lord. Why did he think he could do this? Because he had confidence. He had already seen what God can do. You see, when he makes a statement there in verse 35, excuse me, verse 34, David said unto Saul, vice servant kept his father’s sheep.
There came a lion and a bear and took a lamb out of a flock. And I went after him, smote him, delivered it out of his mouth. And when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and smote him and slew him. Some kid, huh? Just another day out there and, you know, The herd just watching over everybody. And he says in verse 30, Thigh servants flew both the lion and the bear, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he have to find the armies of the living God.
You know, you can’t do that and get away with it. You’re not going to do that and get away with it. There’s sometimes there’s somebody that’s willing to stand up and say, that’s enough. And I believe God is going to use me to say something, to do something and he couldn’t even humiliate his brothers into doing anything or the soldiers that were there but just give me my swing and five smooth stones. Now the reason they say they were five smooth stones because he had four brothers and so he was just preparing to take out the rest of them if he had to do it.
So God used him in a great way but David had learned how to pray. He’d learn how to walk with the Lord. He learned how to have some victories in his life. So that’s what you and I are supposed to be doing is we live our life. Thank the Lord for the little victories that we have here and here because bigger battles are coming. Bigger battles are coming. Do you think it’s possible that even all that we are trying to do here in the ministry, there’s a few giants, a few problems along the way that not everything is going to run smooth.
There’s always something, always problems like up here. Maybe you don’t know the Lord, but everybody needs to know the Lord. Because to know the Lord is to have eternal life. If you don’t have eternal life and know that you’re going to heaven, then you don’t know the Lord. And this is what God’s talking about. This hand represents you and me. The wall represents sin. We all have sin on us. God loves us and I hate our sin. But to pay for the sin is eternal separation from God in hell.
To go to heaven we have to be perfect as righteous as God and none of us are perfect. None of us are righteous. We’ve all sinned. We’ve all come short of God’s perfection. That’s why God says no man can save himself. Because we don’t have any good works. All of our works are filthy rags. So the Bible says we need a savior. This hand represents Jesus Christ. God in the flesh came into the world because he loves us, but he hates our sin because our sin separates us from the Lord.
So Jesus Christ took the sin, paid for it on the cross and came back from the dead. So that if we would believe he did it for us, we believe that Jesus Christ paid for our sins. He put this payment to our account. I got a payment for all. my sins. If I have a payment for all of my sins, then I don’t have any sins to pay for them. So I get to go to heaven. Not because I earned it or worked for it because I was good because the Lord loved me so much.
He did this for me so that I could have eternal life. It was the only way I could get to go to heaven. And I accepted Christ as my Savior, and I pray that you will too. Let’s pray, shall we? With heads bound, nice clothes, and no one looking around. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, it’s better you that are watching by internet. Would you right now and just talk to the Lord? Said Lord I don’t understand at all.
I got questions, I got doubts. But friend just trust the Lord would you doubts. Trust me with your questions. Learn not those things later. Right now you know these things. You know that you’re a sinner. You’ve heard it Christ died on that cross. You’ve heard that He paid for sin and then He came back from the dead and He said if you believe He did that for you He would give you eternal life as a freak yet. Would you believe that?
If you will believe that, that He did it for you. He would save you from hell. Put that payment to your account, you get to go to heaven and learn all that other stuff later. But no man lived long enough to get all the answers to everything in life. But this is one answer that you can have. If you trust Christ, you can know that you have, you turn like, know that you’re going to heaven when you die. Friend, I pray that you will, and if you will, right on your screen says, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior.
Why not let us know? Just click it and it lets us know that yes, you trust that Christ is your Savior and we appreciate knowing that. Father, we do thank you so much for your blessings. We pray that many would trust your Savior. And Father, we also know that as your children we have such great responsibilities. But Father, we know there’s giants in the land, there’s always problems. But Father, these are problems that can be solved, that you always have a way for us to escape and helpoaded be faithful.
We do pray for the nation of Israel. We thank you Lord for that little nation, because Lord they represent so much about why we are the way we are, because of what we believe. And you said we’re to pray for the peace in Jerusalem, them, that you want us to, you said, bless them. And follow if people curse you and curse Israel, they would be cursed. But follow, we pray your blessings upon Israel and give them wisdom, good leaders and protect them and all these things that are going on.
And follow the blessed each person for being here, we pray for wisdom. We pray, Lord, you’ll walk us through all these things. You said you never leave us, never forsake us. We believe that. Thank you so much for this time together. Bless each one for being here in Christ’s name. Hello, this is Peter Amato with Bibleline and we hope that you’ve enjoyed today’s program.
