So man, God says, has a will. Now, if you have God and the devil and you have conflict between the two wills. What happens if you have a man and a woman that produces seven billion people upon the earth? And they’re all like sheep have all gone astray. We have all these wills and people are free to choose. Even though they’re children of the flesh, they’re lost and they have the same sinful nature just like the devil has. But not all the lost people want to worship the devil, but then they don’t know how to worship God.

But if Satan is able to manipulate totally their mind and take away their will, then they would never accept Christ as their savior. But because they are individuals who are free to choose, even in a sinful state, can man by his own power, by his own intellect, produce a government upon this earth that would bring in a utopia. There are people who believe they can. I don’t believe they can. I believe that there’s a lot of problems and because each man has within himself his own will about what he wants to to do.

We don’t like somebody telling us what we can and cannot do. We are children of rebellion, children of wrath by nature. So each man has a will of his own and the will of man cannot produce in himself without everybody else or anybody else. Just me myself. Can I by my own will Will, can I solve my problems? Can I solve all of my problems? Can I produce a mind that thinks good and righteous and holy? Can I live that desire or that dream that I really have?

Can I really make it happen? I don’t want to get sick, so therefore I will not get sick. Try it. I visited a hospital one day with a Christian science. I said, what are you doing in here? He says, I think I’m sick. I said, you are sick. He said, no, I just think I’m sick. I said, why don’t you stop thinking that you’re sick? He says, I haven’t figured that one out yet. I went back later to see him.

And they said he’s no longer with us. Oh, he thinks he’s dead. He thinks he’s dead. So you can think whatever you want. That doesn’t make it truth. Doesn’t make it reality. So remember this, a man for himself cannot produce consistent joy. Since everybody wants to be happy, okay, well, why aren’t you perpetually happy? Are you always happy? If that’s what you want, why can’t you just make yourself happy all the time? If you want to be filled with joy, why can’t you just be filled with joy?

Why are you in such misery if that’s not what you want? Because you can’t do it, not for yourself. You can’t do it for your family. Regardless of how much you love your wife or you love your husband and you love your children, you cannot produce the consistent harmony that you want. Because everybody has a will of their own and it doesn’t matter if the man is a dictator and that you will do my will. Oh, try that. Well, we just let our kids do whatever they want to do, see if that form of government works.

Or the woman, well I’m just as much of an authority as you are. You’re not the most brightest light in the world, you know. I mean God gave me a brain too, you know. Yeah, I know. So women sometimes want to rule the home because they married a wimp. I feel like I’m getting sidetracked here momentarily. You’ll have to forgive me. This is not going to be my better moments today. But I do want you to understand the thought process that’s going on in my mind.

It doesn’t matter if it’s you as an individual or you as a family or you as a church or as our nation or the world. Man cannot produce a better world. All the scientists here are going to make it happen. You see, because we have defiled minds. We have rebellious wills and we’re in conflict where they perfect will. The perfect will of God can produce all those things, but a man in conflict with the will of God can’t have it.

So God says there is a way. Yesterday I had to do a service and I brought up a couple things I’d like to just share real quickly with you. One was there’s three things that I want to talk about that we cannot change. And yet there is something that can change everything. One of those things that man cannot change is something that God says, man cannot save himself. If God says man cannot save himself, I got news for you.

Man cannot save himself. He tries to, how he tries to, regardless of how it was he tries to be, regardless of the use of all of his resources, and all of the power that he had, he cannot save himself, and you can’t change that fact. So you can go to church if you want to, but that is not going to change the fact you can’t save yourself. You can try to keep the 10 commandments, but I got news for you.

You cannot save yourself, or by grace are you saved through faith that not of yourself, Not of yourself means, not of yourself. That’s in the Greek. Somebody said, well that’s just all how you interpret it. I interpret not of yourself as not of yourself. How do you interpret it? That it is of yourself? Not of works, lest any man should boast. So the Bible makes it very clear that no man can save himself. So there’s some things that a man cannot change.

And that’s some of the things that God has said. The Bible also makes a statement in the book of Jeremiah in chapter 13. Can they eat the opium, change his skin, or the leopardy spot? Well, if he could. Then he says, may you also do good that are accustomed to do evil? In other words, it’s impossible for the leopard to change the spot, or to eat the the skin or for a man to do good and save himself. Impossible, it can happen.

God must show that men cannot create lasting peace, joy, or happiness. And yet within each one of us is that desire we want to be happy. Who doesn’t want to be happy? Who doesn’t want to have joy and peace? But I don’t care how hard you try, you can’t produce it where it will be perpetual. Can’t do it. There’s times in your life, moments in your life where you have moments of joy. Even in the home, there’s moments of tranquility, but you and I know it won’t last.

There’s tranquility at times and moments in your life between the husband and wife where they actually get along, but it’s not forever is it? Because they have different wills and and different wills, clash, as conflict. We live in a world of conflict and man by his power, by his wisdom cannot solve this problem. God wants us to trust in the only one that can change it all. The reason that Jesus Christ could come into this world. And live a perfect life is because he could.

You try it. Can you? Do you try real hard? Can you live a perfect life? You’ll get you already the mess stop. Let’s just start from today forward. Can you accomplish it? And all the power and all the might, all the wisdom, everything you put into it can’t make it happen. But Jesus did it. He did something. All of us. could not do. He lived a perfect life. Do you know why Jesus could walk on water? Because He could.

He could walk on water. You try it. She’s a lot of things you can’t do. But He did it because He could do it. And the Bible says the reason He did these things, and we read that in the book of Acts in chapter 2 just a moment ago, by signs and miracles that separates Jesus Christ from the rest of us. We are not like Him. This was the most unusual man to ever come into this world. He was God in the flesh and He never sinned, never did anything wrong.

He stayed even in this world in a physical body in perfect harmony with God the Father. So people came to see him. They were sick. You know why they didn’t have to go to E.R. because they could go to him. He was the great physician, and he could heal anybody on the spot, never charged for any of it. You go to some of these healing meetings and let them form their line. And based upon how much money they give, they may or may not be healed that night.

Jesus never charged, and he just speak the word. But whenever you stop and think about it, we know that when Jesus was here, he was the greatest of all time. He even made that statement. He says, you’ve heard about Solomon, and all of his ways, he says, are greater than Solomon is here. Now, he knew who he was, But I don’t believe that Jesus was a braggart, but when you do search to find out how did he classify himself?

What words did he use to tell you what he’s like? Somebody sent me an email and had in there, Jesus made these the statement, I am meek and lowly, meek and lowly. That’s how he described himself. I’m meek and lowly. He was humble, power under control. Could do anything he wanted, but he was me. Doesn’t mean he was weak. But see, Jesus could heal because he could, and he did. He did something we can’t do. You don’t have the power to just heal that body as much as you’d like to.

You know why Jesus was able to make the blind to see? because he could, he had the power to do it. And when he wanted to, he did. All these things that Jesus did, all these signs and miracles is because man can’t do them. He did things we couldn’t do to convince us if there’s anybody we ought to trust. Well, it ought to be him. You realize who he is and what he can do? And so when he was here, yes, He made the dumb to speak, and the deaf to hear.

He even raised the dead. Somebody can do all of this. Seemed like they ought to have earned the right to be trusted. And that’s why the Father, when He looked over the banner of heaven, says, Here’s my beloved son. Hear ye him. And that’s why Jesus says, Inimine, hear my word, believe it on him. Hath everlasting life. So God has done these things for us. You would think people would be more responsive to what God’s Word has to say.

And I want you to take a Bible and look at this first. Look there in the book of Revelation chapter 22. Revelation chapter 22. The will of man. When God talks about us being born again in the book of John chapter 1, which were born not of the will of man. the will of man cannot produce the new birth. It didn’t come from your parents, but if we will accept what Christ did for us, God can do for us.

What man cannot do. Remember this, God has placed it in the heart of every man as he sprinkles throughout our life. A little bit of joy, a little bit of happiness, a little bit of peace, and a little bit of everything else you can think of that’s ugly that tries you. The heartache, the grief, all the sorrow, sprinkles throughout our lives, a little bit of both. So that we could understand that we want it we desire it, but we can’t make it happen and so therefore Jesus says if you trust me You want to live forever I can handle that You want a body that you don’t have to worry about hurting anymore He’s I can I can handle that You don’t ever want to die I can handle that You don’t want any more tears?

I can handle that. You see, God can handle everything we can’t handle. And though we would love to have eternal joy, God says, I can give that to you. Eternal peace, eternal happiness. God says, I can give you all of that. I can solve the problem. So He says, whosoever will may come. So they’re in the beginning and the perfect harmony of the Godhead. God had a plan to let man see that man can’t get what he wants. Men can’t solve his problems.

Men can’t create that perfect utopia upon the earth. No government can do it because it’s just made up of people who had conflicting wills. There’s always somebody who wants to take from you what you have. There’s greed and hatred in every individual, every individual. There’s envying and bitterness and strife, jealousy, all these things and every individual and with our will we display that. And here we are with God Himself. I can solve what you can’t solve. When God sent his son into the world, it was to solve what man cannot solve.

Man could not save himself, but Jesus says, I can’t. Man can’t change himself, but God says, I can’t, I can give him a new birth. God says he has put eternity in their hearts. would love to be happy. Nobody likes all the pain and the sorrow they go through. But wouldn’t it be neat if we had it that would last forever? Well that’s what God says. So here in the book of Revelation in chapter 22, look in verse 17, as He closes out the last book in the Bible and the Spirit and the bride say, come.

Let him that hearth say, come. Let him that is a thirst, come, whosoever will let him take the water of life. What? Freely. The answer to everything. For example, If I was to die right now, my body lays up here and y’all are mourned, cry, and weep and wail for about five or ten minutes and I’ll be out of here. I’m gone. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. That’s just the shell, real nuts gone. So I am in heaven now.

Now I’m in heaven. And God says I get a new body. Now this new body, it doesn’t hurt anymore. anymore. This new body I got, doesn’t have anymore pain, has no sinful nature. It doesn’t get sick, doesn’t get tired. I’m in heaven and there is eternal peace and joy and happiness and pleasure. For all eternity did God keep His Word? He delivered me from the power of sin, from the power of the devil, from this world, the lust of the flesh, he did keep his word.

But until then we’re going to go through this learning process where you can’t make it happen. I don’t care how much joy you want to have and peace you want to have, You have people with conflicting wills. And this is why when you have the Godhead and He is perfect and right. The closer we get to the Lord, the greater our peace and greater our joy. But the further you get away from the Lord, the further you get away from that harmony.

And this is why the Word of God tells us. And we try to get teenagers to do it. Will you like to have God’s will for your life? I want God’s will as it is in heaven to be done in me on the earth. I want to serve Him. I have greater peace and joy the closer I get to the Lord because my will becomes closer in harmony with His will. And it is the will of God to know the Word of God so that you can know the will of God.

And the further you get away from the Bible, the further you get away from the Lord, the more chaos you’re going to have in your life. And you’re not going to have the peace and the joy, the love, the understanding, the forgiveness, it’s going to evade you. You can’t have it because there’s some things that God says there is no peace to the wicked safety Lord. Then He says, now we’ll keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon, the trustee and the Lord Jehovah for in the Lord Jehovah’s everlasting strength.

Lean not into my own understanding but in all my ways acknowledge Him for He shall direct I pass. That’s in the Bible somewhere. So He says, think on these things. So here you are. You know the impossibility of man solving anything. For example, in will be closing. This whole thing is like a man being born in a son little child. Then he learns that he has a will in his conscience. And then he’s got a family to raise him, a human family to teach him.

And they promise him, if you do this, you get this, and if you do this, you’re going to get this. And so you have it all the way down. And then parents are supposed to lay down the law, because you know sooner or later they got to get on their own and then do it because they want to. But most people never learn. You let a man understand that if he tries to guide his own life, the tribulation is the results of a man going after his own will.

All we like sheep have gone astray. And so every man is producing the tribulation that’s coming in his life. And you’d be surprised how many people ruin their lives because they choose to use their will against God and try to convince themselves and other people, I’ll serve God my way. You will either serve God God’s way or you can’t serve God. It’s not your way. my way and my will must come in the harmony with this book. This book is perfect and the closer my will gets to what God’s Word says, the greater peace and joy and happiness I’m going to have in my life.

And the further I get away from the will of God, I can expect the tribulation. But the God says there’s coming a day when he says that he’s going to rule and reign. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every individual is a child of God? We let the Lord rule in our life and you maybe you’d have a little bit of this joy that you’ll have even upon the earth. Look up here. This hand represents you and me. The wallet represents sin.

We all have sin upon us. Now God says that He loves us, but He hates our sin. And for us to pay for sin is eternal separation from God in a place called hell. But He loves us, wants us to go to heaven. But to go to heaven, we have to be perfect, because righteousness is God and nobody is perfect. We’re all sinners. We’ve all come short of God’s perfection. And God says, man cannot save himself from hell. Impossible.

That’s why this Henry was than Christ came into the world. He came into the world because He loves us. He loves us so much that He would rather die than live without us. Our sin separates us from Him. The only hope we had was that He would do what He did. He took our sins and paid for them on the cross, came back again from the dead, and said that if we would believe that He did it for us.

He would put that payment to our account. We get to go to heaven on what Christ did for us. It’s a gift. Take the water of life. Life, water, thirst, every man should want this free water that turns up into springs of living water, everlasting life, that lasts forever. And God says it’s free. Free means it doesn’t cost you anything. Christ paid for my sins so that I will not have to pay for my sins. He paid for all of my sins past, present, and future.

And all that I have to do is believe He did it for me. And the reason I can’t go to hell today or tomorrow is because I don’t have any sins to pay for. He paid for all of mine. Did He pay for all of yours? But that payment will not be put to your account unless you believe it personally. nobody can do that for you. You must utilize that will that God gave to you. I will trust Christ as my Savior.

Salvation is not a commitment to serve. It’s a decision to trust. Let’s pray shall we? Every headbound, every eye closed and no one looking around. If you’re here this morning and maybe you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, I pray that right now the best you know how that you would understand God does love you. He paid for your sins. You have a will. You can reject it. But if you agree with God that you cannot save yourself, that you are a sinner because God says so.

Just agree with God. Don’t argue with God. Don’t fight against God. God. So Lord, I agree. I can’t save myself. And I believe that when Christ died, He paid for my sins. And right now I will trust Him as my Savior and friend, if you’ll do that, God said He would save you and give eternal life. Would you trust Him? I pray that you will. In just a moment, I’m going to ask for a raise your hand. Raising your hand doesn’t save you just lets me know that what I said made sense to you.

And then I like to know And I like to have prayer for you in closing. But I’m not going to have you stand up and come forward. But right where you’re sitting. Is there any more that I’ll say, yes, that made sense to me and preach our life here to pray for me? Would you just slip your hand out very quickly and put a wrap back down, Zim, with all? You know what it all? I pray that you have trust in Christ as your Savior.

And if you have, and you’re God’s child, you can have some temporary joy in this life. It comes and it goes. But the closer you get to the Lord, the greater your joy and the greater your peace of mine. Don’t let the devil twist your mind away from trusting him, serving him, doing right. Follow, we thank you so much for this time together. We ask your blessings upon each person here. We also pray, Lord, especially for those that are not able to be here.
