So when we’re born in sin and we live in sin, But then we trust Christ as a Savior, God says, you know more there, He sees you in the Spirit, and you die there. It’s the old man that perishes and dies away. But he says in verse 6, I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gave us me out of the world, thine they were, and thou gave us them me, and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hath given me are of thee.

like saying all of this on the other side of the cross after he’s already done everything but he hadn’t done everything yet but this is this prayer he’s talking the Lord as though it’s done he knows the future and he says I have lost none of those that you gave to me and there’s two things that I like to just bring out about that but you’ll see that in just a second now look what he says here in verse eight for I have given them the words which thou gave us me isn’t that all we do, just giving others the word which thou hath given to us.

And in the book of Timothy in chapter 2, we give to others that they may give to others. In the words it’s just over and over and over again. And we keep planting the seeds. We keep reading the word because we’re planting the seeds in our minds. If you have confidence in the word and really believe that the word is the word, well then you know I’m planning the word more so in your mind than in somebody else’s mind.

Because you can always keep out tracks but never plan any more siege in your mind. Always be reading, always studying, always letting God’s words seep into your mind because remember it will affect you just like it’s supposed to affect other people. If the word of God doesn’t affect you, you won’t have much confidence in giving somebody else. But mainly it’s because you don’t yield to what the word says. Oh, man, it will have results. So in verse 8 here he says, and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou disseen me.

And they believed that. But he says there’s somebody that did not. But He makes His statement in verse 11, verse 11, and now I am no more in the world while we, He’s still there, but when He prayed to prayer. But He’s saying it as though it’s already passed. That’s confidence in the future and in His Father. He knew how it was going to end. You and I, we don’t have that privilege of knowing what’s going to happen tomorrow the next day, we just have to trust the Lord.

But the one that knows the future, remember, I don’t know about tomorrow, but I know who holds the future. That’s a good song. Let me have all of them heard that song. All right. It’s a few of y’all have heard that song. I don’t know about tomorrow. I just live from day to day. It’s a good song. But anyway, he says here in verse 11, but these are in the world, but you’re out of the world. You’re separate from the world, but you are in the world.

And because you’re in the world, the world is going to hate you and the world does hate. And he says here in verse 11, keep through thine own name, those whom thou hath given me that they may be one as we are. I was with them in the world, I kept them in thine name. Those that thou gave us me, I have kept. None of them is lost, but the Son of Perdation that the Scripture might be fulfilled.” Now, who do you think that’s talking about?

Judas is carrying it, the Son of Perdation. And you’ll notice also something else. You say, well, see, that showed that he was saved, but now he’s lost and Christ lost him. Well, well, well, how do you get out of this little dilly? Notice what he says here, looking John 18 in verse 9, 18 in verse 9. When Jesus was on or in the Garden of Gethsemane, remember the soldiers and all came to take him. And so he said there in verse 5, then answered him, Jesus of Nazareth.

Jesus said unto them, I am He. And Jesus also which betrayed him stood with them. As soon as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backwards and fell to the ground. Then asked he them again, home-seeking. And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I have told you that I have to be here. If therefore ye seek me, let these go their way. Let these go. These refers to his disciples. Let them go.

just stood the others. He did not stand with Christ in the disciples. In this verse 9, that, my fill, which he spake of them, which thou gave us me, have I lost none. So he didn’t want the disciples to defend him. He didn’t want them killed or let them go that the scripture might be fulfilled that he didn’t lose any of them. Now there’s two things. One, we know that when you trust Christ as Savior, he’s already promised to never cast you out, never lose you.

The prayers also look at the end of the life of Christ, not during it. He said the end of it and praying as though it’s already been fulfilled and the answer has been done. And the only one that was lost was Judas, and the Lord knew that. And when you read chapter 13 of the book of John, it says that Jesus knew about Judas, and the devil entered into Judas and caused him and said to him what to do.

And Jesus says before they had communion, whatsoever thou doest do quickly, and he went out into the night and so on. So the Lord knew even in the book of John chapter 6, hold your place right tip, look in John chapter 6, Jesus had made some statements that were pretty difficult for some to understand and he says does this offend you? This is a hard saying, who can understand what you’re talking about? You know drinking my blood and eating my flesh and all.

So he says here in verse 64, but there are some of you that believe not. So if he knows who believes and who does not believe, do you think Jesus could have known that Jesus did not believe? And he says, for Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not and who should betray him. Jesus says right here, he knew that the one who was going to betray him did not believe. So you can’t say Jesus was saved.

No, the Scripture says Jesus knew those that did not believe and some who they were and that they would betray Him. Then He says this, therefore said, I unto you that no man can come unto me except that were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of His disciples went back walk no more with Him. Then said, Jesus unto the twelve. Will you also go away? Then Simon Peter answered, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life and get this.

We believe. So he’s speaking for all of them. We believe and are sure that thou art that Christ the Son of the living God. And Jesus had a word to say. Jesus answered have not I chosen you twelve, one of you is a devil. He spake of Judas Istkariot, the son of Simon, for he it was that should betray him, that he hadn’t done it yet. So this was knowledge that he had before Judas did it. And the other scripture is knowledge that would be taking place before he He actually did it, but it’s written as though He prayed it before it ever happened.

You have to sometime try to enter into the perspective of the person that’s coming. Where are they in this scheme of things? So Jesus Christ knew all about Judas that He did not believe that He was lost. Yeah. It could Palesto another reference to those that were there at this time that during his lifetime none of those disciples the other 11 died. But when did Judas die? Did Judas die before Jesus died or after Jesus died? But one of them is lost.

He didn’t mean he died physically, his death. What did you just do after he took the money? We know that he did hang himself and then anyway he died. So one was lost, but none of the others died during the time of Jesus and that they were kept safe. So I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is able to keep me alive as long as he wants me to stay alive and that I am like Superman if God deems it and that nobody can do anything to me that he doesn’t permit because I still believe that he is in control.

And if I do right and serve the Lord, I believe I’ll live as long as God wants me to live. I don’t believe God is at the mercy of the world. I believe He can intervene and He can bless, He can sharpen your minds, He can help you in every way because I believe the book. I don’t believe He is that limited. Now He limits Himself at times, yes, about what He will and will not do. But did he already know that Peter, at the end of this book, how he was going to die?

Did he know who was going to live the longest between Peter and John? He already knew that. And you’re talking about what John, this was about 60 years in advance because he lived to be up in his 90s. But he also knew about Peter that he would be carried where he didn’t want to go and that he would die. Of course, Peter always gets things back with and said a few things that he shouldn’t have said, but that’s okay.

That’s Peter. I have come to understand this. You know there’s always people who don’t always do the right things. And there’s people who write books after they have gone through this heartache and this heartbreak and this reject and this repair. So all of those taught them and they become rich down the road because of all their gods seen them through and gave them light before. Years later they were so thankful for all the hard hards because they gave them enlightenment so they write their little book.

But take for example, people who learn great truths because of sins in their life. Not just trials and tribulations, but because of all their real simple failures. And the things that they learned because they knew they had eternal life, they knew that. But they couldn’t truly understand why they did the things they did. So now instead of trying to prove they have eternal life, they were trying to figure out why do I do what I do? And so then they read and they read and they read because they’re looking for an explanation of why do I do what I do?

Why did I fall? And how do I explain this? And there’s people who’ve learned some great lessons from those things that we are the benefits that we would never have learned if they had not failed. I could write a book on people that I know that failed and because of their failures, learned great truths from the Word of God that’s been a blessing to myBUG. And a lot of others because I’ve taught other people the things that I’ve learned.

So go back there to John 17. In John 17, look down in verse 14 where it says, Iourgeven them thy word and the world have hate. Do you expect the world to love you? How are you doing? Look at the world today. Don’t they just love Christians? They love God. They love the Bible. They love Christianity. It’s getting worse and worse and worse. Well, Christ says, if they hate me, why should theyulner you? Souyomi you}; you might have a problem.

You may be more appealing to the world than———————————————— you are to God.WBommod you’re walking more like the world and like God. Maybe your life has not been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit within you, but you have conformed to the world. controversially formed to the world and the world doesn’t see you any differently than they are. And then notice in verse 16, they are not of the world. See, when youAltern I trust Christ as our Savior, God, you’re no longer part of this world.

You’re in the world, but you’re not of this world anymore. And God has left us in the world in order to do like do something that Godopez has to do, do. Now take your Bible and look there in verse 18. As thou have sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world so we have been sent into the world, which means we Kislyak must not have been here before. See our birth is in heaven.

Our citizenship is from above. So it’s like we were born of God and sent into another world and we were sent into a world for a reason. And so he says that they got something for us to do. Why would I send into the world? Why were they sent into the world? You see, we have seeds. You see the other verse there in John chapter 17 where it makes a statement, thy word is truth. Sanctify them through thy truth.

See that verse there in verse 17? Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. So we’re to pose a no truth, live truth. die if necessary, but whatever’s right. The only thing you should desire for your life is whatever’s right according to God. And that Milton Hale, my brother-in-law, he always said, let the rough edge drag and it’ll soon work smooth. Let the rough edge drag and it’ll soon work smooth. You say, I got a lot of rough hairs in my life.

Yeah, just let the rough edge drag and it’ll soon work smooth. Did you know Iron sharpness Iron? Do you know a lot of things in life will make you look better once you knock off a few little rough edges here and there? We got some flooring on our floor up there in Georgia and it’s the real stuff, the hardwood floor. Betty picked it out and they had a sale on it because it had so many knots and so forth in it.

But those knots, we said it’s character. It’s got character. In other words, some of it is just plain, but ours has got character because every one of those little knots is where a limb was cut off. And in your life, God wants to use things in the world to cut off some of those rough areas in your life. And those things that are in your life that are no good, cut them off. And what’s left there is character. It builds your character.

And some of y’all are quite a character. And some people, they just, oh, plain, just plain. They never have any excitement in life. They’d never do anything to get in trouble. It’s kind of like going and playing a game of golf. Some people can’t hit it hard enough and far enough to get into trouble. I can get in trouble on every shot. And I do. I am one of the world’s greatest scramblers. the reasons because I’m never in the fairway.

There’s no excitement there. I’m over there I’m over there and I’m in the water and I’m in the sand and I mean when I play golf I get my money’s worth. I get to use the whole course. If you go to pay to hit the little ball why would you want to hit it the least times? I want to hit it as many times as I can. Maybe I’ll never be a good golfer I guess that’s the course of life for me.

But now look at what he says in verse 21, the reason behind all of this, he says in the last part of verse 21, that the world may believe. If the world may believe, must be the reason when he says, I have sent you into the world and that the world may believe. Christ made the statement in John 1431 that I love the Father and this is why I do what I Do. That the world may believe that I love the Father.

You and I will demonstrate our love to the Lord because we’ve been sent into the world. And the reason is that the world may believe. We’re not in of the world, but we’re in the world. We’re separate from the world. But God wants us in the world in order that we might get other people to believe. And that’s why it’s all so important. Look up here. You’ve heard it, you’ve seen it now, follow it one more time through. This is you and me.

This is sin. We all have sin on us. God, He loves us. He hates our sin, but He loves us. He loves you. But to pay for this sin, the wages of sin is, yeah, so we’re all condemned. All of us. We’re all in the same boat. But God doesn’t want us to pay for our sins because see, the wages of sin is death. And if I die, I don’t have the power to come back from the dead.

You don’t sleep in the grave. That’s where the body goes. The one get it and then they die. You and our absent from the body. We’re either in presence with God or we’re in a place called hell. Old Testament, Chio, New Testament, Hades. that we’re in a place of torment. Until the Lord brings us out and we stand at the Great White Throne Judgment, the Great White Throne Judgment where every lost man is going to be judged according to his works.

God will prove to every individual that no one had a right to eternal life. No one had a right to the holy city. No one had a right because you did not deserve it. And you rejected the payment he made for you. And then it will determine the amount of punishment you receive in a literal fire burning final cahina is where they will be. So God loves us. He hates our sin. We’re all guilty. We’re all going to die.

To go to heaven, we have to be perfect, no sin. But because of sin, we can’t get in. That’s impossible. We can’t change this. There’s nothing we can do to alter this. God says, your good works will never be good enough. You cannot earn your way to heaven by your good deeds. God says, you’re already under the sentence of death. You must die. And you can’t stop it. You may extend your life a little bit and not die at 70.

You may die at 75. You might even make it to 80 or 90, but you’re going to die. Now this hand, we’re getting ready to take a load right now after church. This hand represents Jesus Christ. This is the good news. This is good news. Christ came into the world. He had no sin. He didn’t have to die. But He loved us. He hated our sin. Because our sins keeps us apart. I can’t get to Him. He can’t get to Me.

So what Christ did was took My sins and He died in My place. Came back from the dead. And He said He did this for everybody in the world. So we open it up, whosoever, believe it shall not perish, but have everlasting life. So you see, when he came back from the dead, all he wants us to do is to accept what he did for us. He died in my place. Christ died for my sins. Why? So that I don’t have to pay for my sins.

I don’t have to pay for my sins. Listen to me. I don’t have to pay for my sins. I’m not going to hell today or tomorrow or any time in the future. I cannot ever go to hell and ever pay for my sins. My sins have been paid in full. You say, well, that means you can just go out here and live like you please. I know you want me to clarify that, but I’m not going to. It doesn’t need any clarifying.

It’s either by grace or it’s not by grace, but I will say this. Let’s just pretend that Yankee Arnold has done everything in the book! And I trust this Christ as my Savior. God gives me eternal life and I’m now His child and I’m going to heaven when I die and I keep on living doing everything in the book. If I die and go to heaven, it’d be grace, wouldn’t it? Wouldn’t it? The truth of the gospel, the salvation is by grace.

Did you know that knowing this and understanding this has challenged and motivated me? made to want to serve the Lord with all my heart because I’m not under abundance. I’m free. Free to serve God with all my heart. I hope that makes sense to you. So you mean you can live like you please? That’s what I’ve been done for 55 years. I go to church because that pleases me and I read my Bible because that pleases me. I serve God because that pleases me.

I witness because that pleases me and all the things that I do is because it pleases me. What’s wrong with that? I’m going to get like that. So have you trusted Christ as your Savior? Are you trying to earn your way to heaven by how good you are? Well, I’m not one of those bad, yes you are.

In God’s eyes, there’s no difference. He died for you. Would you believe it? Let’s pray, shall we? With every head bound, every eye closed and no one looking around. the quietness of this moment just between you and the Lord. God knows your thoughts. Would you talk to him right now and say something simple like this Lord, I know I’m a sinner. And I believe that when Christ died, I believe he died for me. And today, I understand. I cannot save myself.

And I’m going to trust Jesus Christ right now. And him alone, as my only hope of going to heaven, I believe that he loved me. I believe he He died to pay for my sins and that he’ll give me eternal life if I trust him right now. And friend, if you trust him right now, he saves you right now, gives you eternal life right now, and you can know that when you get up, I’m going to heaven whenever I die.

And it’s not because I’m good, not because I promised anything, but because he loved me. He loved me that much. If you will make that decision, I like to know and I like to have prayer for you. I’m not going to have you forward. I’m not going to embarrass you. But right where you’re sitting, I’m going to ask you in just a moment to read. raise your hand, raising your hand doesn’t save you. It just lets me know that what I said made sense to you.

And I like to know. Is there anyone at all say yes, preacher, that made sense to me this morning. And I will trust Christ as my Savior. And I like you to pray for me. Would you just slip in and very quickly put it right back down and say, what is all? If you’re watching by internet, right there on the screen, it says, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior. We’d appreciate if you just click it, let’s just know that someone in touch with the Lord.
