We are studying the second lesson of the book of Daniel. Daniel is a wonderful, wonderful book, but we only allotted two classes. The first part of it was the first six chapters dealing with the character of the man called Daniel. And he was a prophet because Jesus said in chapter 24 of the book of Matthew, when you shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet. So we know he was a prophet. We don’t have anything against this man’s character.
Maybe that’s why we’re reading about him over there in captivity because he was a man of character and he knew what he believed and knew why and wasn’t about to compromise. And we’re reading about him because he did not compromise and because of of it, they were impressed with him and kept exalting him until he was one of the head leaders. But he gave a lot of prophecies and some prophecies about times of the Gentiles. These are the years and the times when Israel will be without a king.
And Hosea talks about in chapter 4, talking about Israel will be many days without a king. Well, it’s been about 2500 years. That’s a long time. Now, Christ was here and he was the king but he was not accepted as the king and never ruled as the king. But he is coming back and he will literally rule. I do not believe that the church has replaced the prophecies concerning Israel. What God promised to Israel will be fulfilled and God promised them that they would have a a certain piece of land.
I mean, he made the whole world. It all belongs to him. So I guess he can give it to anybody he wants to. And because of rebellion, he took him out of the land. But the day is coming when Israel will go back to the land and they have, but they’re back in unbelief. But the day is coming when Israel is going to believe it or not, see the Messiah. And he’s going to appear as the lighten it from the east to the west in every eye shall see him.
And his feet will come in that day according to Zechariah chapter 14 and touch upon the Mount of Olives it will cleave in the mist. And as we said before, that great sea which is the Mediterranean, a river will flow right through the middle all the way down into the Dead Sea. And people will be able to fish around the Dead Sea. Now I told you last time me and Hank Linson we He swung at a depth sea and there’s no fish there.
Nothing will live there. That’s what he called the Dead Sea. But one day it will be teeming with fish and people will fish there. So I’m maybe gonna get the chance to fish there one of these days. But what I wanna do is start off with down there in the book of Daniel chapter two and we’re gonna run through the book. All right? So fashion your seat belts. If you’ll notice, there’s a picture of a fella here that’s kind of a, it’s a rough drawing I admit, but I never was a good of an artist.
But you’ll notice that his ankles are cut off, his feet are cut off from his ankles. You notice that down at the bottom of it? Well, I did it for a reason. Now I don’t know anybody else that holds the same exact view that I have, but one day they’ll see it and know know that I was right all along. But at the cross, it’s like it’s cut off. And then the church age comes in here for 2,000 years.
And then when you take that out, it’s like the feet join right up to the ankles and continue as though there’s never been a break. You talk about a gap. This is a gap. But what I want you to do is look there in chapter 2 of the book of Daniel. You’ll notice that Daniel had given an interpretation to Nebuchadnezzar of a dream that he had. So he says here in verse 31, Thou O King, talking about Nebuchadnezzar, saw us and behold a great image.
This great image whose brightness was excellent stood before the end, the form thereof was terrible. Now what we have drawn here is supposed to be a little drawing of the image that he had. He saw this great big image and it had head and it had arms and all that but it was different components and from very valuable to that which is not very valuable. In every one of them it loses the value of it. So you sort of with gold and then you have silver and then brass and then iron and iron and clay.
So it’s, um, deteriorates as you go through So anyway, when you look at this, He says in verse 30, this image’s head was a fine gold, brass and arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, legs of iron and feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawst till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet, that were of iron and clay, break them in pieces. Then was the iron one, clay two, brass three, silver four, gold five.
So I count five pieces that are mentioned here. But when it’s all over with, it says they’re going to be broken together. Now we know according to time they were not broken together but one after the other. First of all came to the kingdom of Babylon. Well then that was finished and then the Median Depersions and then that was finished. And then the Alexander Empire and then that was the Roman Empire. impact. But all of them was come on the scene and passed away, but they were not all defeated at the same time.
So this word together made me think of something else. Look up here, from Babylon all the way through to the cross, then you got to 2000 years, then you got to feet down here, which is during the tribulation period. It’s like the images laying down, but in the tribulation period, it’s like the image is standing up. Because then is when the stone cut out of the mountain without hand, which is Christ, he comes back and he smites the toes and all of these kingdoms are destroyed at one time.
So it looks like there’s a possibility that in the days ahead, all these kingdoms that have come and gone will all be revived into one gigantic beast. Now, I’m not saying it’s true, it’s just a little yank-yology thrown in there, you know? But you’ll notice what he says here. He goes through and he names all these different ones. But you’ll notice in verse 35, then was the iron that clayed the brass, the silver, the gold, broken the pieces together, became like the chaff of the summer threshing floor.
The wind carried them away, and no place was found for them. And the stone that smoked the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. So this stone was Christ who came back and destroyed the rule of Gentile powers and Israel becomes the greatest nation on the earth and Christ’s rules. And so then you set up the kingdom upon the earth. Now look what he says in verse 44. In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed.
Now all these other ones will be destroyed, but there’s going to be a kingdom God’s going to set up. it’ll never be destroyed. What’s interesting, the Bible says in the book of Zachariah 12 and also chapter 14 about those nations that are going to gather themselves against Israel. When you stop and think about the world in which we live today, doesn’t it give the appearance that all nations are turning against Israel? Remember, and this is before Obama became present, I told you America will give the semblance of turning against Israel and they’re doing so.
Israel doesn’t believe they got their back and people are saying now that Israel wants to survive. Israel has got to take God Iran. But America from what I’ve heard says that if Israel attacks Iran, America has it into their agreement. America will shoot down any fighter planes that goes in there to take God I ran because they want to guarantee that’s part of their agreement. Isn’t that something? What does that do to Israel? If Israel tries to take them out, America is promised to take them out.
I don’t like what I see coming. But anyway, I can’t say that it’s in concrete. It’s just a few things that I’ve heard. Do you ever hear rumors? But anyway, Luke, what he says there in the last part of verse 44. And the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces, consume all these kingdoms. See that? all these kingdoms. So this is when Christ comes back at the end of the tribulation period, and he says he destroys all those kingdoms.
Well Babylon has been off the same for 2300 years. Well now unless Iraq and Iran, which is Medes and Depersions, are once again a powerhouse. Wouldn’t be interested? Here we are helping them to be rebuilt and become nuclear powers. and the Bible says this, hey we got a problem coming, we got a big problem coming. Then he says there in verse 45, look at verse 45, for as much as thou saw us that the stone cut out of the mountain without hand, that’s Christ, that it break in pieces, the what?
Iron, brass, clay, silver and the gold. Well we mean each one of those represented different kingdoms over a period of time, but is it possible that in the last days, so I don’t believe in just a revival of a Roman Empire, if it’s revived all of them are. And that’s what makes this a beast because all these kingdoms are all going to rule all at the same time. Well, the enjoin- venture together, I don’t know, but it does get exciting trying to figure out some of these things.
Now take your Bible and turn to the book of Daniel chapter 5. Daniel chapter 5, Belchazar the king, which we believe was the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar, he was having a feast and he had about a thousand people there. They’re all drinking, having a big party. And so he told them to bring all these treasures that we got from the temple over there in Jerusalem. So they’re drinking out of these cups that had been consecrated. St. If I, for the temple use, and he’s having himself a big party.
You see what he says here in verse 3, then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God, which was at Jerusalem and the king and his princes, his wives and his concubines that drink in them. They drink wine and praise the gods of gold and silver of brass and wood and iron and so forth and Well, something happened. The Bible says that something happened, and Bell Shazor says his knees smote one another.
I wonder what that means. Scared to death. Shaken. Scared. See what he says up there? And he saw a man’s hand writing on the wall. Have you ever heard people say, well, you can see the writing on the wall. Well, this is what it’s referring to. It’s just that people can’t discern the writing on the wall. And I believe there’s the writings on the wall, but most people don’t know what in the world does it say. So he says here in verse 6, then the king’s countenance was changed.
His thoughts troubled him so that the joints of his loins were loose and his knees smote one against another. So what does he do? He called in all of his wise guys. He had the astrologers and the soussayers and all these magicians, and saw all the wise men of Babylon. And they couldn’t tell what it says. Somebody remembered, hey, I remember there’s a guy that knows how to interpret dreams. So they call in Daniel and Daniel comes in and he tells them what was going on.
And so in verse 17, he says, then Daniel answered and said before the king, let thy gifts be to thyself, give thy reward to another. And I will read the writing unto the king and mate known the interpretation. He says, now you ought to know that Nebuchadnezzar, he got lifted up with pride. Because he was lifted with pride, God humbled him, made him eat straw like an animal for seven years. Because one day he walked out there after he’d been warned.
Look at this great kingdom that I have built, and immediately his mind left him, he became a nut. insane for seven years, till He came to His senses and realized there is no God like the God of Israel. And so He exalted the Lord and I believe we might see you’ll never can in the desert in heaven one of these days. But he’s rehearsing this to his grandson. He says, you knew this. You knew what happened. And you have done exactly the same thing.
You have lifted up your rebellion against the Lord. So he refers to him. Look at him in verse 21. And he was driven from the sons of men. His heart was made like the beast. His dwelling was with the wild asses. They fed him with grass like oxen and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till he knew. See those three words? online when your Bible till he knew. Sometimes God allows us to learn some valuable lessons that sometimes we won’t learn no other way.
You see what God has for you down the road and the lesson that he wants you to learn, you may not have it in your repertoire to learn the lesson that he has for you. So God has to do a little teaching and he doesn’t ask your permission. He just goes ahead and does and so he says, Till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, that he appointed over it, whomsoever he will, and thou his son, O bell-shazor hath not humble, vine-heart, though thou newest all this.
Can you know something and not do anything about it? Is it possible for you to know what’s right and still not do it? Is it possible for Christians to be rebellious, even when they know the will of God? Yes. He says, you knew this, but you lifted up your heart before the Lord. And that’s what he says in verse 23. And so he says, this is what’s going to happen. So he now, he tells him what it means. Sound in verse 25.
This is the meaning that was written. Many, many, take a look at you, Farsan. He said, this is the interpretation of the thing. He says, God hath numbered thy kingdom and finished it. So we know that the Babylon kingdom has been finished. So number one is off the scene. So if there were five, one is off the scene, so there must be four left, right? Now when you reach Go Field notes, as Go Field says, there’s only four mentioned in chapter two, and so of course then you have to make the other one a revival in order to make it work in chapter seven.
But what if it was just five that were mentioned over there because he had the Babylon, made them the Persians, Alexander, Roman Empire, and then there was another one down here that comes after Rome, had pinned toes. Now if there were five mentioned in Rome, I mean the Babylon is off the scene that would leave one, two, three, four, to the end of the times of the Gentiles. So this is why he says in verse 28, thy kingdom is divided given to the Medes and the Persians.
Now if we want to know today, that’d be Babylon today over there with Iran and Iraq. And so who’s one of our biggest problems we’re having right now in the world? Iran and Iraq. We’ve been fighting that for a while and anyway it just happens to be the same the same ones that the Bible talks about in Ezekiel 38 and 39 have been on the same page with Russia and Ethiopia and Libya, some of those same nations, and most of those will be Muslim countries.
So we’ve got to be careful. And the problem in America is that we don’t know who our enemy is. But now what I want you to see is now it’s been numbered and finished. So now take your Bible look in Daniel chapter 7. Now if you look there in the little chart that I gave to you, notice up there number one head of gold and then two breasts of arms and silver meets in the person, the belly, not the eyebrows, grease, legs of iron, Rome, and then you’ll notice a little stone on the right hand side.
That’s when Christ comes back at the end of the tribulation period. This is not when He comes at the church age. It’s not when He came at the beginning of the church. The cross is not when the stone comes back. The stone is when He comes back in the days of these kings, these ten toes, this stone comes. And He’s going to grind to powder. They have stumbled over the stone, and now the stone is going to crush them, as the scripture tells us.
Now you’ll notice here in chapter seven, First you have bell shazom, he already had this dream. Look in verse three, four great beasts come up from the sea, diverse one from another, four. Now I believe there were five before, but now I believe there’s only four because one has been numbered, finished. And verse four is another one and verse five is another one, verse six is another one, verse seven. And you’ll notice that they have them down and scope for reference Bible.
It’s. All backwards because it doesn’t start with the right one. And verse four, they start with Nebuchadnezzar. Well, wait a minute, it’s already been numbered and finished. We’re into another one. These are four that shall arise. Look there in verse 17 of Daniel chapter 7. Look in verse 17. These great beasts, which are four, are four kings which shall, what? Shall arise out of the earth. That means it hasn’t come yet. This is future. Anyway, that’s a little yankology, but now you go back to verse 7.
After this I saw in the night vision and behold a fourth beast, dreadful, terrible, strong exceedingly, and it had great iron teeth. It devoured in breaking pieces, stamped the residue with the feet of it, and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it. And it had 10 horns. Does it seem like like this is a revival of something that already exists and is going to be just like that. Well, it says it’s diverse from all the ones that went before it.
So it’s going to be different. It has 10 horns. Now you’ll notice when it talks about 10 horns, it also talks about 10 kings. And 10 kings, 10 horns, 10 toes. All three of those pinpoint an exact time. In the days of these 10 kings, the God of heaven comes down and sets up a kingdom. Now take your Bible, hold your place right here, but go all the way over there with me to the book of Revelation. The book of Revelation, chapter 17.
Revelation chapter 17. Now this is just an idea now, because some things with prophecy, when it comes to the gospel, we should all be on the same page. Prophecy, be a little lenient with people. Not everybody sees everything in agreement with prophecy because there’s so many pieces of the puzzle. And you might think you’ve got that puzzle all put together and somebody says, that piece don’t belong there, that piece don’t belong there. And then next thing, you know, you’re trying to figure that.
And so be patient with people that don’t see everything hide eye with you. But when it comes to the gospel, make sure that’s all salvation by grace. But now notice what it says here. In verse nine, here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman said. not some people say this is Rome, and some people say it’s Jerusalem, some people say it’s the Seven Kingdoms, but whatever. In verse 10, and there are seven kings.
So seven mountains, and we know that in the book of Daniel, it does refer to the stone become the great mountain, a kingdom upon the earth, and we know that the mountains can refer to a kingdom. So he says here, in there are seven kings. Five fallen, one is, the other is not yet come, just as a possibility. You see Judah and Benjamin form the southern part of Israel because it was split after the reign of Solomon. And then you had the ten tribes became Israel and they became Judah.
And they had a capital in Samaria and their capital was in Jerusalem. So there was 12 tribes, but they were carried off into captivity by Assyrians. And later on Babylon came along and took the southern two tribes. But what you have is there was before this Egyptian that was holding the Jewish people in captivity. So you have the Assyrians and then you have the, I should say the Egyptian in the Assyrians and the Babylonians and the Medes and the Persians, and Alexander, five fallen.
One is when John was right in which would have been the kingdom of Rome, and one is yet to come. So if that is true, then the one is yet to come as composed of these ten kings, and this is what he says. Therefore, the king, as you say, the Antichrist is going to be the eight, but he’ll be from the last one, which is composed of the ten keys. So you had five fallen, one is Rome, one yet to come, and they will consist of forming the last world ruling power.
And they will give their power to the eight. So you see what he says here in verse 11. and the beast that was and is not even, he is the eight and is of the seven and goeth into perdition. Get this. And ten horns which style sauthered ten kings. And in the book of Daniel 2 and then Chapter of verse 44 talks about the tin toes. So I believe the tin toes, the tin kings, the tin horns are all pinpointing a particular time when the stone comes down and destroys the Gentile power ruling over Israel.
that doesn’t stop these nations from ruling because they will be ruling in the kingdom, but they will be believers because all the unbelievers at the judgment of the nation are going to be cast into hell in the lake of fire. And then those believers from different countries are going to have king and rule and reign with the Lord. But he makes a statement here in verse 13, These have one mind and shall give their power and strength onto the beast.
So this last person who is going to rule the world, these kingdoms are going to give their power to him. But he takes over by promising peace and safety and prosperity and a utopia upon the earth and that’s what everybody wants. The world is looking for a Superman. Somebody that’s to figure out this mess we’ve got ourselves into. And they were very gladly give up all their power, all their rights to somebody who can do it. And so we’ll wind up with a big old mean dictator.
We are perfect for a dictator at this point. I even heard Donald Trump talking about when I become president, I’m going to do this, something new, do this, I’m I’m gonna do this and I’m gonna do this. You ain’t gonna do nothing if Congress doesn’t give you the right to do it. The president doesn’t make the law. He can only enforce the law. And you’ll hear all these politicians talking about what they’re going to do. And when they get in there, what do they do?
Because it’s not in their power to do it. They can either approve or disapprove. They can either execute the law or not execute the law. They can obey the Constitution or not obey the Constitution. They execute law that’s already written or are supposed to, but they don’t always do that. I was thinking about, here’s some of these guys, you know, there’s people already in Congress, and they’re running for president, and they’re trying to convince the 51% of those that are gonna be voting to vote for them, because they’ll get in there and change this, and they’ll change that.
I think to myself. If you can’t convince 51% in the Senate or in the House, why are you trying to convince 30 million? You’re already there. Do the job there, convince them. You can’t convince them why you running for president. So, in my little way of thinking, if you’re already there and you couldn’t convince those people in Congress, And you got to send it of 100 people and 400 something in the house. If you can’t convince them, what makes you think you’re going to convince all the rest of the people to give you the chance?
You already got the chance. You couldn’t convince them. What makes you think you’re going to convince the others? So anyway, maybe this is why I’m not running for office. I watch things and I get a little turd. But I also know that some things I’m not going to change. But there is something that I have been sent here to do, just like everybody other Christian. Let’s just win as many as we can to the Lord while we can. Hello, this is Peter Amato with Bibleline, and we hope that you’ve enjoyed today’s program.
