Now hold your place right here and look in chapter 19, the book of Revelation chapter 19. 19. And notice in verse 11, in verse 11, where it says, and I saw heaven opened and be holy, why horse? He that sowed on him was called faithful and true and in righteousness, he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were in many crowns, and he had a name written that no man knew but he himself.
Now this doesn’t sound like a lamb does it? this sound more like a lion to you? Then he says here in verse 13, he was clothed with a vest or dipped in blood and his name is called the Word of God. You got any clue who this might be. And the armies which were in heaven, so it must be in heaven, followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword that with it he should smite the nations and he shall rule them with a the rod of iron.
Isn’t this what the Son was supposed to do that was to be born of the nation of Israel when he came the first time, even though he was coming and he was going to be the Lamb and he was rejected and slaughtered and became the sacrifice for the sins of the world? So is Jesus supposed to come back again? And if he’s supposed to come back again, he come back in power and great glory. And this is when he’s coming back and he is going to rule and he’s going to rule with a rod of iron.
Now go back to chapter 12, Revelation chapter 12 and notice what he says here in verse 5, to rule all nations with a rod of iron and her child was caught up unto God and to his throne. Now between verse 5 and verse 6 is about a 2000 year gap. The woman, now where all of a sudden we’ve gone from here where the sun was taken up. And now we’re talking about in the tribulation period when the woman is to flee into the wilderness.
But see the first three and a half years she doesn’t have to because there’s the peace treaty made, promise and save, protection and prosperity and everything and it’s supposed to be this utopia upon the earth. Well it’s not going to work out that away. And so there’s going to be great judgment coming. And he makes this statement here in verse six. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared of God that they should feed her there 8,203 score days or three and a half years.
So Israel is gonna be fleeing, just like we read back there in the book of Zechariah in chapter 14, Israel was the flea. Just like we read over there in the book of Matthew 24 when the Antichrist takes over in the middle of the tribulation period, if it’s in the midst of that week, in the middle of that week, there’s only three and a half years left. See, the scriptures has to dovetail. And I believe with this understanding, it fits.
I believe it fits better. Now, a lot of prophecy books that I’ve read, I could say this, they don’t all agree with me. Or I could say, I don’t agree with some of them. But I don’t like to try to prove my point because I quote somebody else and say, well, they agree with me and they agree with me. Yeah, but who are they? I don’t want somebody to say, well, I know it’s true because the preacher said, no, it’s supposed to, the Bible said, and you believe what it says.
Is it possible that I could be wrong on prophecy? Is it possible? Write that down. Write, write, write that down. You just got on my good side. But it is possible. Not lightly, but it is possible because we don’t always see everything. We don’t have all the pieces of the puzzle. Oh, we’d love to. We’d love to speak with such authority that nobody would ever question. But I want people to question if they had a verse that disproves what I’m saying.
But I will say this, I have done my dead level best to study it as much as I possibly get. I don’t know how I can study it anymore. I’ve set up all night long reading this study and sometimes figure out now, where’s the problems? Where’s the things that was would say this can’t be this. Because when I look at the world situation, I would say it can’t be. I mean, this has got to be America, but America was America existing back here, no.
But don’t I understand that, you know, he talked about the Little Horn, and that’s supposed to represent a new nation, a young nation? Well, I know that, but does that mean it’s got to be America? And so there’s people who got some good reasoning for thinking that America could be this beast. And I don’t know, it could be. But it’s where do they set up their headquarters? So that’s why I taught 40 something years ago that Jerusalem or Israel will have to be made an international city in order to allow the Jews, the Muslims and Christianity to all have access to the Temple Mount.
So I don’t know when it’ll happen or even if it will, but according to my thinking, because of what has to take place, it’s just like coming to the conclusion the temple has to be built. Why do I believe the temple has to be built? Well, I’m trying to figure out how they can fulfill these scriptures without a temple. And he says, talk about measuring the temple. It’s given to the Gentiles for 42 months. And the sacrifices are gonna stop.
I can’t see Israel just sacrificing outside, it’s a place and I believe the temple is gonna be rebuilt because the Bible says it’s gonna happen. So I kinda believe that. So I’m drawing an assumption, but I believe it’s based upon what the scripture says. So you hear in the book of Revelation and look down there now where he talks about this great tribulation is gonna come upon the earth And he says, whoa, whoa, whoa, to the inhabitants of the earth.
See what he says in verse 12, therefore rejoice you heavens, and you that dwell there, but whoa to the inhabitants of the earth. And obviously for the devil has come down unto you having great wrath because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. So he knows he’s only got a short time left, three and a half years is all he’s got left. do all the dirty work he can do.” And then he says here, in verse 13, and when the dragon saw that he was cast into the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
Who would this woman be? I can’t come up with nobody else except the nation of Israel. Israel is the woman. And from verse 1 of chapter 12, until this verse, I believe this is the Well, if this is the woman and the devil hates the woman and he turns everybody in the world against the woman that try to destroy her, when I get to chapter 17 and it talks about this woman that rides this beast, is that somehow they have made temporary peace between and the devil doesn’t like the woman and the woman is being deceived maybe, but for the sake of peace, I believe Israel is at the point where they’ll do anything for the sake a piece.
And I don’t like that. I believe they’re willing to maybe even go to a two-state over there which I believe Jose has talked about do not part my land. And so it’s not to be done. There’s another verse that you might enjoy looking at. I believe Ezekiel 42, Steve Yant, where’s that verse? See there that man knows the Bible. He knows the whole book of Ezekiel, he can quote it by heart. Ezekiel 42 and verse 20. Ezekiel 42, look in verse 20, this is on page 889 and he says in verse 20, he measured it by the four sides.
It had a wall round about 500 degrees long, 500 broad to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place. Now some believe this is a reference to the Temple Mount where you’ve got the mosque already there that’s the profane side and then you’ve got the temple that may be built a little bit north of it and they’re in the same area. Now there is a good possibility. I just don’t know for sure but there’s a lot of interesting stuff.
A lot of pieces of the puzzle to come together. Now, go back there to Revelation chapter 12, chapter 12. And you’ll notice in verse 13, when the dragon saw that he was cast into the earth, he persecuted the woman. You have the dragon and the woman in verse 13. In verse 14, you have the woman in a place and the serpent. And verse 14, and to the woman, which were given two wings of a great ego, she might fall into the earth.
fly into the wilderness into her place where she is nourished for a time one year, times, that’s two years, and half a time, that’s a half a year. So you’ve got three and half years. Isn’t that what it says over there in verse six? But you see, it’s written in such a way that you’ve got to study it to find out what he’s talking about, but I believe there’s enough revealed that you can put some of these pieces together and begin to understand this has to be referring to Israel and is talking about the Jewish people because the whole tribulation period is the 70 weeks of Daniel.
The 70 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city. So the 70th week of Daniel, which has to be the seven-year tribulation, has to be referring to what happens to Israel. I don’t care about how many great nations there may be, how they come and how they go. If I don’t know anything about them, I should be able to understand the Word of God by the Word of God, what it has here is that I don’t try to interpret scripture based upon the nations of the world of what’s going on in the world.
If I was in my room and knew nothing about anything else and all I got is my Bible, or you said I can’t understand the Bible unless I understand the world. No, I think I can understand the Bible because I got the Bible. And the Bible teaches itself to be what it claims to be the Word of God. So notice what he says here in verse 14, shall fly into her place where she’s nourished. Verse 15 and the serpent cast out of of his mouth, water as a flood after the woman.
So here’s the serpent, and we know who the serpent is mentioned down there in verse 9 of the previous chapter. You know it’s the devil, and so the devil is after the woman. Well, who is the woman? It’s the nation of Israel. He’s going to try to destroy Israel, destroy the temple, and go after the Jews and destroy every last one of them because now he’s after the remnant that has escaped. So I want you take your Bible and hold your place here, but look into the book of Psalms, the 81st Psalm, the 81st Psalm.
That’s in the Old Testament. And then look in verse 13, look in verse 13. It’s kind of like the Lord pouring out his heart and it’s almost like Jesus when he was weeping over the city of Jerusalem. But after all that the Lord had done for the children of Israel, he says in verse 13, my people had harkened unto me and Israel had walked in my ways. And if they had, I should have done this and I should have it.
I should have it. I should have it. About five times he says I should because see one it shows the declaration and two it shows the accusation and then three it shows the exhortation. What God sees about his nation that he birthed and brought into this world in a miraculous way and all of his wonderful provision that he had given to them. He says, I should soon have to do their enemies soon. Turned my hand against their adversaries. The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him, but their time should have endured forever.
He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat, And with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied them. But you turned against somebody that could have done all this for you. Don’t you realize that all of this that’s happening, it didn’t have to happen. But because of rebellion. And you’re nice to suppose to learn something from this, that it doesn’t matter how long it takes God going to chase him. And even though it’s taken 2,000 years, God is going to chase him.
Look there in Psalms 83, Psalms 83, and just look there in verse 14, because this is really the goal of the nations of the earth. He says in verse 4, they have said, come, let us cut them off from being a nation that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. Now there’s their purpose, and there’s our goal. Do you see why the Muslim countries of the religion of Islam despises the nation of Israel? They don’t want peace with Israel.
They want Israel to be in pieces and they don’t want to make a peace trade. They want to annihilate Israel. And that’s their goal. They don’t want them to even be a nation. They don’t want them to have the land at all. There is no land on this earth that they want Israel to have. They don’t want them here at all. And so they’re going to work until they can destroy the nation of Israel. And they can’t get to Israel until they take America down.
Because we’re the only thing that’s keeping them from doing. This is why what we’ve got is a mess on our hands. why something is on the verge of happening. Something’s got to take place. Now I don’t know when it’s going to happen but I can guarantee you this, it’s going to. But the Bible already says the nation, they want to wipe Israel off. See those nations over there, those Muslim nations, they wouldn’t be the way they were if it wasn’t for Israel.
The reason they’re so mean and unkind and mirth is because of those Christians. It’s because of the Jews the Christians read the Quran and you’ll see it. So that’s why they want to eliminate us. We’re the great Satan. Now go back to the book of Revelation chapter 12 and look what he says, the servant in verse 15 is after the woman and then in verse 14 and the earth helped the woman and gave her a place in order to protector from the dragon.
In verse 17, but he tried to get the whole earth to swallow up this woman, but in verse 17, and the dragon was wrought with the woman, went to make war with the remnant of her seed, the remnant. I mean, whatever’s left to annihilate the remains of the Jewish people. And we believe that Jerusalem is going to be destroyed because of all these things happened. not go back there to the book of Revelation chapter 17. Revelation chapter 17. When Jesus comes back, we know that the beast has got an agenda, what he wants to do.
He’s got these nations that have given him power. And so he says here in verse 13, these have one mind and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. shall make war with the Lamb.” So this is going to happen at this period of time because Christ is coming back and they are going to be the ones that will make a war against the Lord. So this has to take place in the last part of the tribulation period.
Christ is coming back power and great glory and He’s going to rule with a rod of iron. So now notice what else He says here. He says they’re in verse 15 and He’s set unto me, the waters which thou saweth were the horrid, sedative, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues. They’re not just mountains out there, you know like a real mountain, but they’re kingdoms and there’s people all over the world. And then he says this in verse 6 and the 10 horns is the same as the 10 toes in the Old Testament and so they got the 10 toes and the 10 horns and the 10 kings, they’re all the same.
So here’s a body, there was the head of gold, then you had the silver, and then you had the brass, and then you had the iron and clay. So you had all these pieces of this body and the stone, which is Christ, is going to come down and you’re going to smite the tin toes and destroy the whole image. So now these 10 toes are here. It’s the last power upon this earth. Jesus is the stone coming down to the earth, and he’s going to rule, but he’s got to deal with those toes.
Not much of a war, not much of a battle because of the battle of Armageddon, he takes care of everything. And notice what he says in verse 16, and the 10 horns which thou saught upon the beast, these shall hate the whore. Now is it possible that whoever this woman is, this whore, that it’s somebody that this beast who is the representative of the devil himself, after everything that we looked at, is it possible that the woman here could be Israel?
You read chapter 12 it is. You can read chapter 14 of Zechariah it is. And when you read in the book of Matthew chapter 24 it is. So why isn’t it the same thing here? Not nobody said. And the 10 horns with thou sought the fun of the beast shall hate the whore shall make her desolate and naked and shall eat her flesh and burn her with fire. Now, if this is the woman, this is the one that’s set on fire, and this is the one that it was the headquarters of the world religion and the political power upon the earth, and it’s fallen.
It falls. It comes apart. And so when you read the next chapter, it’s all about this place called Babylon that falls. Babylon, in the very beginning, was headed up by pretty much the same thing. heard of Ham Marabi, the one that the Ham Marabi code of Babylon, Ham, I wonder if it’s a connection between Ham and Ham. And whenever you study about Mo Ham, mid, and we talk about where the, oh I can get sidetracked so easy. But look what is here in verse 17, for God had put in their hearts to fulfill Israel and to agree and give their kingdom unto the beast until the words of God should be fulfilled, and the woman which style sauce is that great city which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
So where is the head of this last world power supposed to roll from? Is it possible that it could be Israel? Well, maybe you could say anywhere, but I do believe that there might be some legitimacy here. And then when he talks about this great city, see there in chapter 18 and in verse 20, well you’ll notice in verse 18 he talks about that great city. Verse 19 talks about that great city and in verse 20, rejoice over her thou heavens and you holy apostles and prophets, for God hath the venge you on her.
Now you go back to Matthew chapter 23 and other scriptures where God says that you have done this and you have rejected and you have killed the prophets that have ascended to you and it seemed like it might be what Israel has done and killing the prophets. Well these prophets and so forth like that didn’t happen in Rome. That didn’t happen in another big city. That happened in Israel. Isn’t this the judgment upon Israel? That’s a good possibility and then he says that great city shall be thrown down and we don’t have time to go all the rest of this but I just want to show you this look in the book of Revelation in chapter 21 chapter 21 if there is going to be a new heavens and a new earth is it possible that it’s going to be a new holy city if it’s going to be a new heavens a new earth can to be a new
holy city well good possibilities see there in verse 1 and I saw a new heavens and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away. There’s no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And so then you look all the way over there. Verse 9, where it says, and there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, talked with me saying, come here and I will show thee the bride, the lamb’s wife.
He carried me away into the spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me, look those three words, that great city. What? The Holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. So is it possible that that other great city that fell could have been, well, it’s just a possibility. I can’t say definite, but I believe there might be something here for you to study for the rest of your natural life like it’s plagued me for forty-something years and I hope it does to you what it did to me.
It caused me a lot of sleepless nights going back and forth trying to discern what the world of God says and you don’t get it overnight. I’ll tell you that but anyway look up here. I can’t see why I couldn’t have finished this morning. I’ll have this go another our, but look up here, this is you and me and this is sin. We all have sin upon us. God loves us. Now, he hates our sin, but he loves us.
And because of all the stuff that God tells us in his word, and if it’s true, you know, this part here just might be true too. That means there must be a heaven and there must be a hell because no man could have wrote this book. No man could have come up with all of this. It is incredible. And it shows us the nation of Israel really is a miraculous nation, how that God has sustained this nation for all these years.
And then He tells us what he’s going to do with him next. And here we are. We’re at an exciting time in history. I wouldn’t have it no other way. God loves us, hates our sin. And for us to pay for sin is eternal separation from God in hell. But God loves us and wants us to go to heaven and to go to heaven, we have to be perfect, but nobody’s perfect. Nobody will ever be perfect by their good works.
That’s why God says it’s not by works of righteousness that we have done. Not of works lest any man should boast. and boast about how good he is to go to heaven because no man goes to heaven because of how good he is. Because if there is none good, no not one. So we have a payment to make. This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord, God in the flesh. Came into the world because he loves us, hates our sin, because our sin separates us from God.
So Jesus Christ who had no sin didn’t have to die. So he took all the sin of all the world, paid for it on the cross and came back from the dead, that if we would believe that He did that for us, He would put the payment that He made to our account. Now I have a payment for all of my sins. In God’s eye, just like I died and I paid for all of my sins and I came back from the dead and I’m good to go.
Oh, because what He did was put to my kind of soul. I didn’t do anything. I didn’t do a thing. He did it all for me. That’s what called substitution. He took my place. He took your place. And So he gives us as a free gift, eternal life, and we get to go to heaven on what he did for us. Isn’t that a wonderful statement? Listen, you probably have never heard this before. For God so loved the world. You ever heard that before?
That he gave his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. Now whosoever, anybody, believe it than him, should not perish. It means he won’t go to hell. But have a relaxing life, it means he get to go to heaven. That’s good news. So if you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, now it sounds like a pretty good time to do it. The only thing you need to do is accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. You say why? Because it’s the only thing you can do.
There is no other way. Let’s pray, shall we? With headbound eyes closed and no one looking around. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you trust Him right now? Just talk to the Lord and say, Lord, I know I’m a sinner, I believe Christ died, paid for my sins, then I’m going to believe that He did it for me. And I’m going to trust Him to take me to heaven whenever I die. If you’ll make that decision, God said he would save you and give you eternal life.
You can know you’re going to heaven, you know it positively. And friend, if you trust in Christ’s Savior tonight, right there on the screen, it says, yes, I’ll trust Christ as my Savior. I’d love to hear from you. Just let us know that somebody trusts in Christ’s Savior. Our Father, we thank you again for your blessings. Thank you for all you do for us. And Father, we pray that the study of these things on prophecy lets us understand how accurate your word is, how perfect it is, how we can read it and study it, believe it.
And, Father, we pray for wisdom in all these matters, but Lord, help us not to get so caught up with prophecy that we fail to do what we’re here to do. Help us to keep our eyes focused upon the eternal destiny of individuals so that they can have eternal life and go to heaven. So bless each one here. Thank you for your study of your word in Christ’s name. Amen. to Bibleline? Do you enjoy the teachings of Dr. Arnold?
