Well, I hope that today’s message will be a blessing to you. I want you to turn in your Bible to the book of Matthew chapter 13. Matthew chapter 13. Today we’re going to have a little Bible, but I got some things I want to share with you because of the principles that are taught in the Bible and the principles that are taught by secular humanists. You need to understand it. If you have been a little frustrated and in despair because of what’s going on in our country, decisions that are made by the President, Congress, Supreme Court, I think by the time I get through you’ll have a maybe a little bit better understanding of it where we’re headed.

Here in Matthew in chapter 13, I want you to look there in verse 24. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man, which so good seed in his field. But while men slept, his enemy came and so pears among the wheat and went his way. While men slept, the enemy so bad seed. So you can do the good work, but remember there’s others that are doing the evil work, and it’s being accomplished.

I want to read just a little bit to you because I believe it’ll help you in introducing what I want to talk to you about. Sin, it is a word that you don’t hear a lot about anymore. Like so many other things in America, the idea of sin has been sanitized. We call it a mistake, an error, or a misstep, but no matter how much lipstick and makeup you put on a pig, underneath it’s still a pig. Politicians don’t lie, they misspeak.

Governments don’t steal, they tax. Schools don’t educate, they indoctrinate. Hormongers don’t commit adultery, they sleep around. Yep, in America today we rarely call things what they really are. Politically correct synonyms are now the whitewash lexicon for long-established prohibitions from the Word of God. All of the problems that our nation is dealing with are a direct result of sin, but today we have bought into the fable that men are naturally good. It’s society that we need to change. everybody else’s fault why we did what we did.

We didn’t mean to do it. All of the evidence leads to a different verdict. America has a sin problem. It’s not skin problem, it’s sin problem. Sin in an individual that impacts us all. Individual sin bleed over all the rest of us. Civil laws are nothing more than governments attempt to control the sin nature of the individual. Although the moral anarchists want to tell us that we can’t legislate morality, the obvious fact is that that is exactly what the purpose of laws are for.

Stealing is wrong, so in effect you stop it. We make laws to punish it. Finds and incarcerations are or the penalty of civil sins. But external restraints are never enough to control inward desires. No matter how many laws we create, someone will always find a way around it. In fact, we hire lawyers to poke escape hatches in those restraints. Over the centuries, our law books have exploded from 10 simple little rules to law libraries full of the failures of legislating morality.

We can’t build enough prisons to control the hearts of the unregenerate men. You see, God’s plan was simple. Control, or we should know that heart of man. And therefore, he put into place a set of controls for society, and to begin first and foremost with the individual. The ultimate goal of God’s justice system is for the individual to establish self-control. If we fail to teach to our children the importance of self-government by obeying the law written on the heart, then all true liberty will be lost.

Liberty comes through obedience. Disobedience sin brings a loss of freedom. Failure to control one’s inward desires leads to outside control. Family is the next level of government that the Lord put into place. From the earliest Age, parents are admonished to train up a child in the way she’d go. In the simplest of terms, it is the parents’ duty to teach a child to govern himself so that others will not have to. Today, America’s prisons are full and her churches, churches are empty as we continue to ignore the clear warnings of our founders.

And understand this, our founding fathers would not be elected to office today. They could not be voted in. They are so unconstitutional. They are not politically correct. They wouldn’t qualify to lead this country and the people we have today could never establish this country. They can only destroy this country. John Adams said, We have no government armed in power capable of continuing with human passions, unbridled by morality and religion. Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people.

It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other. Government has usurped the authority that God originally gave to the people. We have surrendered the right of the individual to the sovereignty of Caesar. Samuel Adams, the father of the American Revolution, said, let divines and philosophers, statesmen, and patriots unite their endeavors to renovate the age by impressing the minds of men with the importance of educating their little boys and girls in calculating the minds of youth of fear and the love of deity, and leading them in the study and the practice of the exalted virtues of the Christian system.

James Madison, the father of the Constitution, said we have staked the whole future of American civilization, not on the power of government. Far from it. We’ve staked the future of all of our political institutions on our capacity to sustain ourselves according to the 10 commandments of God, not on the power of government. the power of government did not start this country. It cannot sustain this country. It can only destroy this country. America’s leadership is swimming in sin. They are incapable of delivering us from our body of death.

We will never change America through the political process. Changing one set of centers for another will not save us. Only a return to biblical morality and the grace of God can. Long time ago of a man by the name of Charles Benim, I’ve read his book. If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discrimination, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it.

If the world Jesus is interested in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it. Let us not ignore this fact, my dear brethren, but let us lay it to heart, and be thoroughly awake to our responsibility in respect to the morals of this nation.

Anyway… Those are my opening remarks as somebody says on TV every once in a while. I want to show you something, and what I’m going to show you is what I presented in our church 33 years ago. Now think about it, 33 years ago. You see how far off it was. Or maybe it was right on the money. Because we had a Christian school. And I had to discuss these things about secular humanism as a religion and listening to the humanist manifesto that they came up with, their own religious tenets, I think it’ll open your eyes just a little bit.

The religion of secular humanism. Secular we know means without God. Human it’s the man. man-made religion and that’s exactly what this is. Now there’s a lot of religions made by man but this is talking about without a divine God but man being his own God and when you read the scriptures whenever God’s people abandon scriptural principles God raises up a heathen power to judge them and it came to pass when the judge was dead that they returned and corrupted themselves more than their fathers in following other gods to serve them and to bow down unto them and they ceased not from their own doings nor from their stubborn way.

Now this is from the book of Judges where God used them to rule over the nation of Israel and God would raise them up at different times and the people would cry out to God when their enemies prevailed over them, and so God was sent him a judge to deliver them. Then after a while they would do the same thing over and over and over again. And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel and he said, because that this people have transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers that have not harkened unto my voice.

I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died. In other words, because of their rebellion and their disobedience, God left thorns of the enemy to prick them, to warn them, to remind them. Now here in America we’re doing a little bit of the same thing that happened to the nation of Israel. He says that through them, I may prove Israel whether they will keep the way of the Lord to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it or not.

So God is going to test. We are being tested today. Our Christianity, what we say we believe, is on trial. And it’s going to determine whether or not do we really believe what we say we believe. I believe there is great persecution coming to every believer in America. It’s on the march, the evil. permeated every institution of higher learning in our country. Our politicians are infected with it, and our schools are infected with it. Our homes are infected, and so are the individuals in our churches.

There’s a good possibility that some here, without even being aware, are using humanistic reasoning in your so-called service to God. You’ll see what I’m talking about. But he says, ye are the salt of the earth. But when salt has lost its power to influence those eggs that you put on, then it doesn’t serve a purpose. Christians are the salt of the earth, but we’re losing our stability to influence. We’re not able to influence the world anymore. And so therefore we’re losing our power of influence.

Every heathen power is an expression of the lie, which says that man is equal with God, all of them. And you’ll see this in all of the nations. But America stood out a little bit different because we recognize that there was a divine power, a divine God, and we knew God through the person of Jesus Christ. And this country was founded upon that knowledge. They receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved. For this cause God shall send him strong delusion that they should believe a lie.

And they believe the lie because you see there’s people who want to live in sin. The lust of the flesh is a very powerful desire. The desire to go your own way and do your own thing is so strong in every individual, we want laws that gives us the freedom to do that so we have no restraints upon us. How are we doing? And the Bible says, who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshiped and served the creature.

That means man. He serves man more than the Creator. And so this is what’s going on. There is another religion. I preached a sermon about 25 years ago called The Changing of the Gods. You’ve heard of the Changing of the Gods. Changing of the Gods. In America we have changed from the true God to a false God. And we want our laws to manifest our belief in a false God. because the true God determines how we worship, how we live, how we think.

And we’re slowly getting away from all these things. When I had to debate whether or not to start a Christian school, I didn’t like what I saw being done to my kids in the public schools. I started a whole Christian school because I had a son that was about four years old, and I didn’t want him to go. So I was convinced I’m gonna start a whole school just for my little four year old boy, if that’s what it took.

And that’s what it took. It was a little bit too late to catch my two teenagers. They’re already going into junior high. And I couldn’t start a school and go all the way through. So we had to start with a few grades and then work it out. But in 1933 and again in 1973, the lie was enunciated in the humanist manifesto. And if you read all of the tenets of the humanist manifesto, you’ll be surprised how much of it sounds just like the 10 planks of the Communist Party.

Communism is dead. No, it ain’t. It’s got a different name. Same poison. Doing the same damage. It’s atheistic. Understand this. We must understand their basic tenets in the light of God’s perspective. Scriptural principle, there is a design from the Bible of what God wants. And he says, for by him were all things created in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible. Whether they be thrones or dominions, principalities or powers, all things were created by Him and for Him.

That’s the basis of what we believe, because we believe that God created the heavens and the earth. God created man. And God says what He wants and lays out what our responsibilities are. But there’s people who don’t believe in God, therefore there’s no responsibilities to God. there can be no such thing as divine revelation. There cannot be. Morality of right and wrong. It’s what the people want. Humanist manifesto, one, two, and three. Number one, religious humanist regard the universe as self-existing and not created.

That’s without God. But they’re But who is their God? Man is their God. And so men worship men. And what they want is what they bow to. So we got to teach all people to agree to this and we can vote in anything we want. And this is what’s been done. Humanism believes that man is a part of nature and that he has emerged as a result of a continual process. Do you see evolution in there anywhere? This is their belief.

These are the attempts of their religion. Remember, as Calvary Community Church, we have a doctrinal statement that says, this is what we believe. This is what they state, they believe. And this is their religion. This is what they worship. And this is what they want to do not only to America, but to the whole world. Hold an organic view of life. Humanists find that the traditional dualism of mind and body must be rejected because, see, they don’t believe in an afterlife.

There’s nothing more than you than what you are and what you see right now, and when you’re dead, that’s it. So the whole purpose of life is now. And enjoy it now. You listen to our young people and our teenagers today. They have no desire for anything as future way on down the road. It’s all about what I want and what I want to do now. It’s now without consequences to their decisions. They’re in roads and destruction so far in education.

Secular humanism is now the established religion in public schools. This is what is being taught in our schools. When now, when you can’t teach the Bible in the school. Because why? The Bible teaches that there is a God, a divine individual with a mind who has designed an intellect and he makes laws. He created. Therefore, if there is a God, we have a responsibility. But if no God, no responsibility. So nobody’s responsible of what they do anymore. Do whatever you want to do.

And little by little, this is being permeated in all of our schools. And if you don’t think it makes a difference that they can do these things and it not affect us. You need to think again. Humanism has been declared a religion by the Supreme Court. And yet they don’t have a God up there that they look to. They look to man. That’s why it’s humanistic. Neutral education is impossible. This is why you do not have education in the Constitution because government is not to be involved in education.

You see, what about the NEA, the National Education, it’s not to be involved in education. Our government should leave it alone, let the people educate their own kids, and be responsible for their kids. We’ve lost our country because we did not hold of that. We gave it to somebody else to do for us. John Dewey, founder of Progressive Education, wrote the 1933 human manifesto. And Charles Potter was a former honorary president of the NEA, and manifesto signer stated, education is the most powerful ally of humanism.

And every American public school is a school of humanism. They know what they’re doing. It’s just the parents don’t know what they’re doing. And they don’t really care. Listen, most kids coming out of school today can’t read and write, can’t think, can’t research, can’t record, can’t, can’t. But they’re educated. To get a job they can’t do. And go to college and graduate and get a degree that they’ll jobs for them. We have messed up this country. Because while we slept, the enemy so tears.

In the courts, humanistic fairness laws are being made which are contrary to Biblical laws of justice and mercy. You’ll hear a lot about the politicians talking about everything’s got to be fair. It’s got to be fair. Fair. It’s not fair. It’s not fair for those 99% of the people not to have something and that 1% has it all. So we’ll take care of that and make it fair. Have you heard anything like that lately? This was 33 years ago.

Even a legal system must by its very nature have a religious foundation because all education has to have why do you believe what you believe? What’s right, what’s wrong? Why do you hold the view that you hold? So, laws legislate morality. Either gods or man’s. So there’s man’s morality and there’s gods’ morality. You see, you can’t legislate morality. What do you call the moral law? The Ten Commandments. It’s a moral, what’s right and what’s wrong? And why do we have laws made by man?

They’re teaching their morality. they consider to be right and wrong and many things that were right because we believed the Bible now are wrong because people don’t believe the Bible so those are old-fashioned views and they need to be replaced. This is what we’re doing. So God’s law promotes life. Their law will destroy. It will destroy the individual, it destroys the home, it destroys the church, it destroys our country. We’re not the same country we used to be. Humanistic evolution reduces man to a species of an animal because if there’s no God, then man is just the highest form of an animal.

That’s all he is. And you do what you do by instinct, so therefore it’s not your fault. You’re made that way. Courts based on humanism, justified killing, unborn and handicapped children and punished doctors in hospital which do not cooperate. This is being done. Doctors are afraid to do certain things. They’re afraid of lawsuits every time you turn around. And there’s people that are so happy, so anybody over anything, we’re afraid to, you know, you can sue somebody about something.

Now when it’s right and it’s biblical, there is a place for that. In 1973, Supreme Court decision legalized abortion was based on humanistic reasoning. That’s just a blob. It’s just tissue. It’s just a fetus. It’s… No, God says that’s a child. That holy thing which shall be called the Son of God. That’s a child in that mother’s womb. At the point of conception David says, Psalms 51. There’s many of these things in the last 30 years that have happened.

A lot worse than what we’re talking about even here. But these are things when I was cleaning out my room. I came across some of my notes that I’ve had and I preached them years ago and I thought, this is today. This is going on now. Except this is what we see now is a fulfillment of seeds that they sowed a long time ago and showed what their plans and what their goals were. Nothing in this is up to date.

All of this is something from 30 something years ago. The Attorney General of Delaware issued an opinion stated that a doctor had failed to kill two unborn babies with. Little Celine’s injection could be sued for criminal malpractice. So now they change the world. They’re just taking them out part by part. Rip that baby to shreds and crush their skull and pull them out. That’s a wicked thing to do in America. And yet, while good men slept, evil people are taking over our country.

Indiana Court parents and hospital allowed an unwanted newly born child to starve to death. David Gibbs Law firm was involved with Shirevo, something like that from down here. They did the same thing not long ago. The scriptural principle, not just design, but authority. The inspired Word of God is the final authority for our life. On the rule of faith, what we believe and practice how we live. So the Word of God is our foundation on how we should live.

Therefore, we want laws that protects by giving us the right, the freedom to live those laws and punish those who would take those rights that God gave us away. Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away. And if it was good for then, it’s good for now. The Word of God has not changed. But people are trying to change our country by changing our laws to fit their new religion. Humanism recognizes that man’s religious culture and civilization, as clearly depicted by anthropology and history, is the product of a gradual development due to his interaction with his natural environment and with his social heritage.

individual born into a particular culture is largely molded to that culture. So that the reason that people are doing what they’re doing is because there’s always a good excuse. Those people wasn’t a rioted up there if they hadn’t been treated bad. No, it’s sin. Sin. A man is responsible for his actions. Not blame him on somebody else. There is a responsibility that people have gotten away from, children no longer responsible. A lot of parents are no longer responsible. It’s not their fault.

Humanism asserts that the nature of the universe depicted by modern science makes unacceptable any supernatural or cosmic guarantees of human values. In other words, human values that we talk about, of having the values the Bible talks about, say It can’t come from anywhere except from man. So all of those other values that we talk about have to be discarded. So they have to have a reevaluation, a value clarification. It’s got to be redone. And this is what the movement has been doing.
