So God knows that He may allow some Christian to cross your path that you can help challenge motivate to serve the Lord. This is why you have to always watch your own personal testimony. Now look what he says in verse 2, bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. The law of Christ. I wonder what the law of Christ is. The law of Christ is the law of love. Now hold your place right here and just look over there in the book of James.

Some of you already know where I’m going, you already got the Bible committed to memory. I know that. But look at it with me anyway, just humor me a little bit. In James 1, verse 22. Verse 22, but be ye doers of the word, not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Now, you can come to church, open up the Bible, preach it, you can tell you and say, look at Look at this, look at this, look at this, and you look at it and you saw it and you know you’re not right with it, but then you close your Bible, go home and so you never saw it.

Now you wouldn’t do that would you? Because you always approach the word of God with this attitude. Whatever God reveals to me that I need to correct, I’m willing to do that. Now if you’re not willing to do that, you’ll be surprised how much you will not understand. Why should God continue to give you more light when you won’t obey the light you already have? In the book of Philippians in chapter 3 it says, walk according to that which you already know.

See what is the will of God? Walk according to the truth you already have and you be surprised that truth will lead to more truth that leads to more truth that leads to more truth. But why should God keep giving you more truth when you are not obeying the truth you already have? Sometimes I’ve had people come in and say, Yank, I got this here, big decision I got to make. And I just don’t know what to do. I says, yes, you do.

You just want me to tell you what to do. So that if you don’t work out, you can blame me. I says, you already know what to do. And I already know that I know that they know. And they know. Look at in verse 23. For if any be a here of the word and not a doer, he is likened to a man beholden, his natural face and the glass. for he beholdeth himself, goeth his way, and straight where he made a leap, forgeteth what manner of man he was.

But who so looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continue therein? He be not a forgetful here, but a doer of the worth. This man shall really be saved. No, this man shall be blessed in his deeds. So the word of God liked the perfect law of liberty. Because you see, whenever we see this understand is we now have the freedom, the freedom to serve the Lord. I wrote this little statement down. The law of liberty is the law of love.

We’re now free to love. Before you, you were not free to love because you were a lost man with the flesh and the flesh will never let you love God’s kind of love. But now that you have trusted Christ as your Savior, the Lord said, I want you to love one another. And it’s a divine type of love that because the whole law is fulfilled in one word love. So you’re now free to love as God wants you to love.

Stand fast in that liberty because when you fall under the old sinful nature and you don’t control yourself and you bring forth the lust of the flesh by yielding to him, well then it becomes a snare, a trap, and you will not be free to love because it destroys your testimony and people will question and doubt your honesty and your sincerity. Just understand that because it’s right there in the book. But now look there in the book of James again.

And verse 25, but who so looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein. He be not a forgetful here, but a doer of the worth. This man shall be blessed in his deeds. And the more blessed you are, because you’re doing what’s right, he that is spiritual. That means you can discern when somebody else is not right with the Lord. A spiritual man wants to help that person, not expose the person. You may have to pray for that person, encourage the person, do whatever they…

But if all of God’s children were determined, not only just to be a great soul winner, you may be a great soul winner and still not have the kind of a testimony you ought to have to God’s own people. Isn’t it a shame if God’s people at church wear one way and we love each other and we You put on that Christian smile and everything is just great until you get home. Who knows you better than anybody, the person you have to live with.

They know what, it doesn’t that hurt. They know what you really like. And do you ever think they think I’m a hypocrite? The last thing you want is to have that feeling that I’m not being truthful or trustworthy. Serving the Lord should also affect at home and at church and on the job. You see, you shouldn’t be one way at home and another way at school or college or none on it. However you are at home, is the way you’re supposed to be at church and the way you’re supposed to be at work.

Don’t that make sense? Just be the way you really are. That’s the way you really are. then it’s not a show. It’s real. It’s genuine. And that’s what you want. Now look what it says in verse 12 of chapter 2. Verse 12 of chapter 2. So speak ye and so do as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. This law of love. What did you do because you loved the Lord? What did you do because you loved the Lord?

What did you do because you loved God’s children? What did you do? Remember, going to heaven is free. That’s grace. We didn’t earn it. Don’t deserve it. But when we stand at the judgments of Christ, and God’s going to reward us for what we’ve done, every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. There is no mercy there, no mercy there, because God is going to reward a Christian for what they did. That’s says there in verse 12, so speak ye and so do as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

For he shall have judgment without mercy. There is no mercy at the judgment of Christ. You’re going to get exactly what you work for, exactly what you deserve. And remember this, somewhere in the Bible, maybe Hebrews chapter 6, God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love. Your work and labor of love. love. Love. It’s the motive of why you do what you do important. I think it’s in the Bible. You read Corinthians in chapter 13, and though I speak with the tongues of men and the angels and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah and have not what?

I don’t have love. I’m just like a sounding brass and tinkling cymbals. I give my body to be burned and have not love. It profit at me nothing. So is the motive of why you do what you do very important, I believe, that it is. Take your Bible and turn to the book of MatthewGGGGGGGG24. Hold your place there in the book of Galatians Matthew and chapter 24. I don’t believe this is that’s really talking about believers here, but it is a warning to the children of Israel of how they were going to be treated during the tribulation period.

So you see there in verse 15, we know that whenever this takes place, when you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophets standing in the holy place, we know that takes place in the middle of of the tribulation period. And we know that verse 21 is the last half of that tribulation period. So then we know that verse 8, all these are the beginning of sorrow. We know that’s the first half of the tribulation period.

So we know that during this period of time, what’s going to be said and done? We have a good idea. So he says here in verse 9, then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and ye shall be hated of all nations, for my name is a hated. Now is hated, Are been hated is that a fruit of the spirit or is that a work of the flesh?

That’s the lust of the flesh isn’t it all right so we know where this is coming from look at the next statement And verse 10 and then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and shall there’s that word again hate one another Get this Verse 11, and many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many. Lot of false teachers gonna deceive a lot of people. Now look at verse 12, and because iniquity shall abound, sin abound. The love of many shall wax cold.

Now remember this, in a Christian’s life. Do you still have that old sin for nature? All right. So it’s possible for a child of God to be wrapped up in iniquity. It means that he’s got sin in his life. He’s walking in the flesh. So it’s possible for every child of God to walk in rebellion to the Lord. And whenever you sin against God, is your heart been worn toward the Lord? Or is it going to grow cold toward the Lord?

Now you take some wax and you put a wick in it and you light that and you can have some light, right? But what does the light and the heat do to the wax? It melts it. Put out the light, no heat, what happens to the wax? It hardens. So whenever you have sin in the world or sin in your life and you don’t deal with it, It’s going to make you cold. You’re going to wax cold toward the Lord.

And this is why God’s Word talks about those that are hot, cold, and loot warm. Now go back to the book of Galatians. Back to the book of Galatians. And when you see the impact of chapter 5 about to the brethren and about loving one another And again, I want you to see that in verse 14, for all the lost fulfilled in one word, even in this douse out love, thy neighbors douse them. But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another.

In other words, you ever heard this phrase, a man who lives in a glass house should not throw stones. See how well you know that? Why? Why? Anybody know why? If a man lives in a glass house, he should not throw stones. Why? Isn’t that so easy to understand? So when you start biting and devouring somebody else, what’s possible? You’re going to be consumed. Remember that little statement we talked about that bitterness is like drinking poison and hope in that what?

The other person dies. You drink the poison of bitterness and you hope the other person dies. You’ve got a problem. It will destroy you. Now look again there in Galatians 5 and verse 26. Let us not be desirous of vain glory. That’s walking in the flesh. Vane glory is provoking one another. If I provoke you to anger, you’re liable to say something against me or do something to me. If you make me mad, I’m just liable to lose my cool, lose my religion.

And there’s a lot of damages done and sometimes Christians bring it upon themselves. If a person will gossip to you, they will gossip about you. So that means if you really know that, if you gossip about somebody with the intent of telling something that even though it’s true, but it’s not helpful and they’re not a part of the solution to the problem, maybe it doesn’t need to be mentioned. Yeah, but it was the truth. Yeah, it doesn’t matter if it’s the truth.

What was your purpose? Well, I wouldn’t say anything against anybody unless it was good. Boys is good. And you know, this is just for prayer. That’s why I’ve always been afraid of women’s Bible studies. This is just for prayer. Of course, we got God’s ladies here, so they wouldn’t do that. But now, look in verse 2 of chapter 6. Look at this. Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if a man thank himself to be something when he is what?

Nothing. Nothing he deceives himself. Is it possible for a Christian to think he’s walking in the spirit when he’s actually walking in the flesh? But he’s deceived. If you were in the Spirit and you know it, then you’re not deceived. It’s when you think you’re walking in the Spirit and you’re not. That’s when you’re deceived. So he says, for if a man think himself to be something when he’s nothing, he deceives himself. But get this. Let every man prove or test his own work.

Now, can’t you as an individual set in judgment of yourself? Or do you want other people to judge you? You want God to judge you. But what if you could judge yourself and after you read these scriptures and you see they’re the works of the flesh? And then you look down to verse 22 of chapter 5, but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, maintenance, temperance, against such there is, see those two are, no law.

There’s no law against bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit, but is there a law against bringing forth the works of the flesh? Yes. So it’s against the law to walk in the flesh. It’s not against the law to walk in the Spirit. So if you’re walking in the Spirit, look at the fruit you’re supposed to be enjoying. Now do you believe that most Christians are walking in the spirit and enjoying the fruit of the spirit or most of the time they’re always down and discouraged and miserable and bad-mouthed and somebody and criticizing and negative all the time, worried all the time?

You can judge for yourself. This is what he’s talking about. In verse 4 of chapter 6, let every man prove or test his own work, then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone. In other words, you don’t want to be a joy moocher. You see, what’s a joy moocher? Well, you look over there at say, Bob Gilbert, and Bob Gilbert is just loaded with joy. He is just so happy. So because he is so happy and filled with joy, I’m going to go over there and sit next to him and rub up against his shoulder and I’m a joy, I’m mooching my joy off of him.

Have Have you ever seen people that would smoke cigarettes, they’d bumming a cigarette off somebody? Or they’d got a bama cigarette off somebody? Why, because they don’t have any. So they got a bama cigarette off somebody else. They’ll even look down on the ground. They’re trying to find somebody, this one more puff left on that. So they’re trying to get something, it’s not there, but they’re trying to, and there’s Christians who are trying to, they’re joy moochers. They’re trying to moose their joy off of somebody else.

who is happy in the Lord. But theirs isn’t real. Learn to get your own joy from the fruit of the spirit. Isn’t joy a fruit of the spirit? I think it is, I think it is. Why slap my mouth, there it is right there. Love, joy, peace, why? It must be. So when he says here in verse four, then shall he have rejoicing in himself along not in another. Because you have peace of mind that you’re doing what God wants you to do.

And you want others and you want to help somebody else. Now you can’t give them your faith. Now you can share a little of that fruit of yours, but the thing is you want every Christian to walk in the Spirit. Live for the Lord. You want them to enjoy trusting God. People are having enough of a hard time as it is. Don’t you think that most people are struggling, one way or the other, everybody’s got a problem. Everybody’s got something going on.

And the last thing they need is somebody to put their foot on the back of their head and push them down in the mud. Everybody needs encouragement. Now, look what he says here in verse five down. So we’re to bear one another’s burdens. And then he says, for every man shall bear his own burden. Is every man responsible for his own walk with the Lord? You can’t make a person spiritual, and you can’t make a man walk in the flesh, but you do have influence.

You do have influence. So we’re supposed to try to influence people to do the right thing. Try to help people. Everybody struggles. And there’s no limit. I mean, you never know that you may be talking to somebody that’s just about ready to fold up. They can’t take anymore, have a nervous breakdown. Now, I don’t know if nerves actually break down, but I’ve heard people who have no nervous breakdown. So you may be one of them. And y’all, you need is just a word of income.

encouragement. Well, I would like to encourage people. But you also need to find out you can encourage somebody else. Don’t wait too well when I’m perfect, then I’ll help somebody else. Well, you might ever forget it. You’re not going to help anybody. You see, you help one another as you walk, as you go. And you’re always struggling with certain things in your wouldn’t it be great if we could just take that Old Central nature and go to the hospital and say I’ve located it.

It’s right here in my third rib would you just go ahead and cut out the Old Central nature? Man, wouldn’t that be neat? And then I’d be good from now on. Good to go. But it doesn’t work that away. But the The Bible says, honor him, serve him. Let me show you this. This hand representing you and me and the wallet represents sin. We all have sin on us. God loves us, but he hates our sin. And for us to pay for sin is eternal separation from God.

You see, this is the flesh and this is the works of the flesh. And so God condemns the sin because God is perfect and we’re not. We broke in God’s law and the law condemns us. That’s why he talks about in chapter 6, and I need you to look at this because we’re looking in verse 7. When he says in verse 7, be not deceived. Now, who is he talking to? Lost man? He’s talking to Christians, believers. Be not deceived, God is not mocked.

Well, how can you mock God? Thinking you can sow corn and reap potatoes. Thinking that you can sow to the wild oaks and not have to reap the consequences. So every Christian is supposed to know that if you sow to the Spirit, You can have love, joy, peace, the fruit of the Spirit. If you sow to the flesh, you’ll have the works of the flesh. Don’t be deceived. You can’t walk in the flesh and reap the fruit of the Spirit.

Understand? If you don’t understand it, you’re gonna deceive yourself. Then notice what he says. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soeth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption.” Now let’s put it, I believe, in context if a man so’s to the flesh, he shall of the flesh reap corruption. When you sow to the flesh and you sow that to other people, you’re going to destroy other people. It destroys them. It ruins their life.

It could cause them never to serve a Lord because of the way they’re treated by some of God’s people. So as a child of God, you walking in the flesh or me walking in the flesh, not only does it destroy my life and my testimony, but what I’m doing to other believers in the Lord. So you’re not supposed to do that to them and you don’t want them to do that to you. But when you take and sow to the Spirit, you shall of the Spirit reap.

And this is something that you want to reap in your life. If you so love, reap love. So joy, reap joy. So hatred, reap hatred. You’re going to reap what you sow. Now you want everybody to love you? Go for it. But not everybody is reaping and sowing the same thing you are. But you know that when you get to heaven, God is going to reach your reward and bless you because you sowed the seed. told you to. And that doesn’t mean everybody’s going to love you to death, but it doesn’t matter.

God is not unrighteous to forget your work and your labor of love. He will reward you for doing so. That’s why he says in verse 9, he says, and let us not be weary in what? doing, for we shall reap. If we faint not, don’t quit. Don’t give up. You’re going to reap. But if you’re so to the flesh, you’re going to reap. You’re going to reap. So what do you want to reap? I want, when I get to heaven, see the joy of those people that got to heaven, because somebody told them how to get there.

Or the people that dedicated their lives to serve the Lord because you passed their way. You influenced their lives. What do you get to heaven? And you see all those faces. I love that song that Peter and motto sings. When you see the faces of all those people that have been reached, influenced because of you. But God says that He loves us. And we were born into this world, a child of the flesh. And we cannot see or enter the kingdom of God.

We can never go to heaven because it requires perfection and we’re not. So God says, you cannot earn eternal life. You can’t work your way to heaven. This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s God in the flesh. Came into the world because, well, He loves us. Hates our sin because our sin separates us from it. So Christ took the sin, paid for it on the cross. Came back from the dead and said that if we would believe He did it for us, He would put this payment to our account and we’d get to go to heaven.

I want Jesus Christ did for us. Best news in all the world. Let’s pray, shall we? Where there be head bowed and every eye closed, no one looking around. If you’re here tonight and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, maybe you’ve heard it forever, but never really trust the Lord. Don’t let Satan deceive you. Be clear in your mind. Are you really saved? Do you really have eternal life? Are you sure you’re going to heaven? Is it only because you trust in Christ?

If you’ve never done so, would you do it right now? And if you will, would you just slip you in it very quickly and better rub back down yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior tonight and preach I like for you to pray for me. And what is all? If you’re watching by internet, God bless you, appreciate your tuning in. But we want you to trust the Lord. We want you to be certain of going to heaven. And if you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior right now, quietness of this moment, just between you and the Lord, would you trust Him?

I pray that you will. And if you will, right here on the screen, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior. Let us know. We’d love to know and we’d love to have prayer for you. Our Father, we thank You so much for loving us, giving us a free gift to be turned alive. And Father, let us see how important our Christian lives are, the impact that we make in other people’s lives. And that Lord according to Your Word, You said, You, that our spiritual seek to restore those that are walking in the flesh, help us to care, help us to be discerning, and Father help us to consider ourselves with migness, lest we’re also tempted, because Father, we know that only by the grace of God are we walking with you.

We thank you for intervening in our lives, and we thank you for all that you’ve done for us and what you’ll do through us. In Christ’s name we pray. Are you a new listener to Bibleline?
