Look at the next statement. The Lord’s approval is worth the sarcasm of your friends. Do you believe that? of everything in life. The Lord’s approval is better than anything else in the whole world. Regardless of people whether they’re for you or against you, they approve or disapprove, you better do what you believe God wants you to do because you want to be approved by the Lord. That’s what Paul was talking about in chapter 9 when he says about being set aside or rejected, disapproved not for salvation but because he didn’t run the race according to the rule because he wanted to he said if you’re shivin for the master you’re self-disciplined in every area but you got to play by the rules there’s things that God says to doom.

Look at the next statement. Number 17 give eternal issues proper priorities. Now in Matthew in chapter 6 it talks about seek ye first these things and all these other things will be added unto you. The kingdom of God and the righteousness of God. You seek those things that God wants you to do and all these other things will be added to you but you have to get your priorities right. Put God first in everything that you do. Look at the next statement number 18 only in the dictionary does success come before work.

You see success starts with a nest and work starts with a dub, yes. Success is first in the dictionary. But in real life you’ve got to do the work. Do you reap before you sow? Are you sure? You want to make a phone call? You have to sow. Then you reap. You do the work and then you get paid. statement number 19, we are sent to be spent. Sent to be spent. Now, you are in the hands of God like money and God is spending some of your money.

Now, let’s say God said, okay, you have been given 70 years of life to live and you are God’s money. So when God spends some money, what’s he getting in return. You see, you’re the one for the Lord that is spending God’s money. You’re spending this time that God gave to you and it’s very valuable. And the thing is, is you don’t know how much money you have. You don’t know if you’re going to get 70 years, do you?

Some people will get 80 years. Some of y’all are greedy. Some going to get close to 90. But you really never know how much money you’re going to have to spend. How many days do you have to spend? So God is going to, I want some return for the money. I gave you life, you’re to spend, and I want something in return. Or did you spend all this time in God’s money on the things of the world and you have nothing to show for what you have done.

Now won’t that be terrible? That will be terrible. But 2nd Corinthians chapter 12, verse 15, what Paul is talking about, the more I love you, the less I be loved. So it is important to keep that in mind. Look at number 20, don’t reject in the dark what God gives you in the light. God teaches you some things. And you say, I believe that. And you learn some other truth. I believe that. You learn a verse in the Bible.

I believe that. I can do all things through Christ with strength in me. And then when he gets dark, don’t question in the dark what God gave you in the light. That’s the time to really say, do you really believe it? Can you really trust the Lord? See, the devil wants to go around and turn off all your lights, because he knows you’ll worry, because you won’t see how God’s going to do it. None of us know how much time we’ve got left in our life.

We don’t know what the next day holds for us. And some people are going to find out they’ve got maybe this disease, they’ve got this and that and the other. All their wealth can be gone just like that. I mean, this is a scary time and it’s so a world in which to live. There’s people that’s got money in the stop markets and then some are going, and they lose a lot. And so it’s very dark for some people.

But you still kind of show it as your trust in the Lord. Put your trust in Him. Look at number 21, don’t get too busy polishing your armor and never sharpen your sword. Now what is the sword for the Christian? Where does it say that in Hebrews? Chapter 4 verse 12, anybody quote it? For the word of God is, You wait and sword, quick and powerful, sharper than any two angels, so you’re piercing, even, dividing up under, so all in, up there.

Well, we might have got it out there. I think we… I think we got three words from over here, five words from over here, ten words from back here, but it is a beautiful portion of Scripture. The Word of God is sharper than in two-edged sword. And so that’s what we have. And so as we have down here, don’t get too busy polishing your armor. You know, trying to look good. It’s like a person who wants to have beautiful foliage on the tree.

Oh, what a beautiful tree. Look at that trunk. Look at those limbs. Look at those leaves. You have any fruit there? No, there’s no fruit on it, but look at the foliage. Look at that Christian. Boy, he’s beautiful. I mean, he just got everything right. What a beautiful testimony. But does he serve God? No, no, he doesn’t do that. Does he witness? No, he doesn’t do that. So you see, when Christ came along and he saw a fig tree and he says, where’s the fruit from his tree?

And there’s no fruit. He said, then it withered. And some people complained about that. Did you see what he did? And some people get mad at what Jesus did. I wouldn’t get mad at the man who just made a tree wither. You hear what life is? If he did that trick tree what he could do to you? I mean some of those guys were nuts. Look at the next statement. Number 22, souls are unreached because they are unloved. Isn’t that a hurt?

A hurtful saying. Souls are unreached because they’re unloved. Would you want us when we get to heaven to say we didn’t reach so because they were unloved? I mean we didn’t love them. It’s our love that makes us do what we do to try to reach people and it is so important. Here we go bed at night and you just can’t go to sleep. And so they say, well count your sheep. What’s better than counting sheep? Talk to the shepherd.

Talk to the shepherd. Or if you really want to go to sleep quicker, get your Bible and start reading it. I guarantee you the devil can come up here and put sand all in your eyes. All of a sudden, just like fast, your eyes will get so heavy and then you can’t stay away. So if you want to go to sleep, start reading the scriptures. Boom, man, it’ll knock you out. Alright, number 24. We’re moving right along here. future is being determined by your obedience to God today.

Your future is being determined by your obedience to God today. If I want to be where God wants me to be down the road, I better be where God wants me to be today. See, I never worry about, you know, trying to figure out tomorrow and all that. I just know if I do what God wants me to do today, I’ll be where God wants me to be tomorrow morning. I’ll be where He wants me to be. And if I am at the end of that day we’re doing what God wants me to do, then I’ll be where I’m supposed to be the next day.

He leads you step by step. Now there’s times in my life where I stepped here and then I stepped there and I stepped here and I kept all the way down to Miami and I went to Sreeboro, Louisiana, and I went to Tennessee and I went back to Florida and I went to Colorado and I went to Georgia I went back to Lord. Those are steps. Walking with the Lord is taking steps. And you’re going to take steps in your life.

You’re not always going to be in the same spot, doing the same thing with all your life. Now some of you may, but it’s interesting to watch the Lord lead and direct in your life. So you’re learning how to walk with the Lord. But the things that you’re learning, and I told the college kids this, your ministry does not start when you graduate. Your ministry has already begun. Trusting Christ is your Savior, that day you became a child of God and God been working on you.

He’s been working on you and he’s not through yet. And so while you’re here, you’re learning how to be faithful. You’re learning how to study the word. So your ministry has already begun. And the way you’re going to be down the road, a lot of it will depend upon your steady habits now. The drive that you have, the patience that you have, the love that you have. All the things that you have. all those things is what’s going to determine the shape of this big old tree down the road.

So your ministry’s already begun and it’s so important. Look at the next statement. If God isn’t as close as He used to be, who moved? In a verse there, 1 John chapter 2 verse 28, abide in Him, little children, that when He shall appear, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. I used illustration. Thanks to John the car. Better be right there. Right there. After a while, she was over there at the door.

See, remember how close we used to sit together? I said, yeah, but I didn’t move. So, if you’re not as close to the Lord as you used to be, the Lord didn’t move. I wonder who did? Some people never figured this thing out. Number 26, don’t be afraid to go out on a limb because that’s where the fruit is. But always understand, there’s somebody with a saw. Waiting for you to get out on a limb.

See Christians who don’t go out on the limb to get the fruit want to cut off the limb that you’re on. because see if you serve the Lord you’re an automatic rebuke to the ones who don’t that’s why you’ll be persecuted people drop the one anything to do with because the more you want to serve God and if they don’t how can two walk together unless it be agreed so it can cost you can cost your loved ones it’s a terrible thing to go through number 27 don’t give God orders just report for duty.

Now Luke 17, 7 through 10 is a very important portion of Scripture where it says that when you have done all that is required of you, you have simply only done that which was your duty to do. So when I went into the boot camp, they asked me what time would you like to get up? And what would you like for breakfast? Next. Well, would you like? Yep, didn’t that, everybody got the same thing, it didn’t matter what it was.

You just report for duty. You don’t go up to the command, start giving them orders. Just report for duty. Just report for duty. Don’t give God orders. And whenever you’re given orders, you’re supposed to just obey the Lord God says, I I want you to do this. Why? Do you know who I am? Yes, God probably very impressed with who you are. Look at the next statement. A man does not fail in service unless he is unfaithful because it’s required in the steward that a man be found what?

That a man be found faithful. Do what God wants you to do. Number 29, you may dodge the responsibilities, but you cannot dodge the consequences. Can you rebel against the will of God? But you cannot dodge the consequences of your rebellion. Very important. This one I really like. He who abandoned himself to God will never be abandoned by God. Another one that I like is put everything in the God’s hands and it won’t be long before you’ll see God’s hand in everything that you do.

Put everything in God’s hands and it won’t be long before you see God’s hand in everything that you do. Now look at the next statement. Satan crushes our spirit by getting us to bear tomorrow’s burdens on today’s grace. Doesn’t God say that he gives us grace that we need and it’s sufficient thereof? And when you want more than what you need, you don’t get it. So he gives you that which you need to bear the burdens of this day, day by day, moment by moment.

Number 32, God won’t pay you on the first day for the rest of the week. When do people usually pay you? If you’re going to work for a week, you start on Monday, when do they usually pay you? At the end of the week, right? Now some people, they won’t God to pay them on the first day of the week. Lord, pay me now and then I’ll work for you. We work. And then when we get to heaven, God’s going to pay you.

And you’re supposed to believe that God is a good boss to work for. Now see, going to heaven is free, but God wants us to work for Him and He says, now pay you wages. You have no idea how much God is willing to pay you to do what He wants you to do down here. And you have to believe it will be worth it all. Trust Him. Number 33, never ask God to lighten your load, but ask them to give you the strength to bear it.

Because sometimes we’re always complaining about how much we have to do or how bad it is for us and how hard and how heavy God says, look, ask me for additional strength and grace. Lean on me, trust me, cast your cares upon the Lord. Because you see, there’ll be days when it seems like everything’s lightening up, everything’s smiling, everything’s good. The day’s smiley face day, but every day’s not a smiley face day. There’s some days that are going to be very dark and dreary, but learn how to cast your cares upon the Lord and He’ll take care of you.

Number 34, attempt great things for God and expect great things from God. Isn’t that a great statement? Oh, I love that. attempt great things for God and expect great things from God. Now I was down at Boca Raton when I first saw that thing they had it on the sign there in the the hot house there at Boca Raton, Bibletown USA. That’s where I picked that one up. And you’ll notice now in number 35 when you flee temptations don’t leave a a forwarding address.

They say that opportunities knock at the door once. Temptation knocks every day. He’s always there. Success opportunities not once a gun. Temptation all the time. That’s not one of the things down here but just something good to remember. Number 16 a person controlled by moods will not be faithful because if you’re faithful only when everything’s going great and you feeling great and then when you down in the dumps and you’re moody well then nobody can depend on you. So you’re not dependable.

A person who’s governed by moods. That means you’re always governed by your feelings and you’re fine as long as everything’s going long fine. You’re happy if the happenings make you happy And if things that go wrong don’t make you happy, then you’re unhappy. So there’s people who are governed by moods. Learn to be steady. Be steady. Don’t overreact when things go good and don’t overreact when things go bad. Have like shock absorbers on yourself. So when you’re walking through the Christian life, you’ve got something in scriptures that kind of keep you supported so that you don’t, you know, get carried away with every little thing that comes along.

Some people, man, you tell them one thing, they never really blow their stack, lose their cool, all that, no, no, don’t do that. So number 37, children of the king should use the language of the court. You see, you’re a child of God, right? What is this? Word of God. Do you think your heavenly father wants his heavenly child to learn his heavenly word? So if you’re a child of the king, learn to use the language of the court.

Learn to use the word of God. 38, it’s a great sin to tolerate a little sin. Now isn’t that a good statement? It is a great sin to tolerate a little sin because a little sin going unchecked will become a great sin. It will be a big problem. What’s the difference between a mountain and a molehill? Just more dirt. Some people say, you’re just trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. What is it? More dirt. dirt and so don’t throw dirt because when you throw dirt you lose ground.

Look at the next statement. Don’t talk cream and live skim milk. I hate skim milk. I hate 2% milk. I like milk. But I don’t always get my way. Number 40, beware of making a bad decision when you’re discouraged because when you get down and discouraged you generally will make the wrong decision. Always wait until you’re feeling good, things will change a little bit and you’re a little bit better up and you know you’re a little bit more optimistic because Generally you’ll make the wrong decision when you get down in the scourge.

That’s when you quit things and stop doing what God wants you to do. Be careful. Number 41, not serving the Lord is like a train off the track. Can’t go anywhere. 42, Satan likes us to be active but not productive. If you draw breath, God has a purpose for you. Remember I always said if you have a pulse, you have a purpose? If you’ve got a pulse, you want to check it and see if you’ve got one? If you’ve got a pulse, that means you’re alive.

If you’re alive, that means you’ve got a purpose in living. So when God’s through with you, guess what he’s going to do with you? You could just take you out of here, couldn’t you? So, number 44, since God never slumbers nor sleeps, why should we boast to awake at night? Isn’t that good? Never think that your problems are so big God can’t solve them, or that they’re so small to bother him with. Oh my problems are just so small.

I don’t want to bother God. He is so busy. Don’t embarrass yourself. Don’t be grudged God the opportunity he’s looking for to help you solve your problems. God wants to, is there time whenever you wanted to do things for your child and you wanted to let you help them, teach them things, guide them a little bit? God is our Father. Look in verse 45 I said, it’s just a minute ago. Place all in God’s hands, it won’t be long before you see God’s hand in everything that you do.

No man is greater than his prayer life. Learn to talk to the Lord all the time. Always talk to the Lord. Or you’ll have a lot of activity, but not productivity. Prayer makes the difference. Number 47, nothing is beyond reach of prayer, except that which is beyond the reach of God, or the will of God. Number 48, God grinds the axe he plans to use. Have you ever said, God, I want you to use me. You’ve got to sharpen you, don’t you?

You want to cut grass? Look under there in the blade’s dull? What are you going to do? You got to sharpen the blades, right? And so God has to put something against that metal, that iron, usually iron sharpness, iron. And what you do is just cause infriction. So God will allow people to come into your life and rub you the wrong way. In other words, Dr. Stanford used to put it like this. If I rub you the wrong way, turn around.

If I rub you the wrong way, turn around. And you’re gonna find that there’s people that are gonna come across your path and they’re gonna rub you the wrong way. But maybe those people are helping to sharpen you, teaching you something, taking off a rough edge, teaching you a little bit of patience. Be surprised, God knows what he’s doing. Look at the next statement, number 49, to find God’s will is to find yourself and your purpose. And I like number 50.

I saw this down there at Boca Raton also. They had it in the building. The longest journey begins with a single step. The longest journey begins with a single step. The greatest vision you’ll ever have, or whatever it is you want to do. You still got to take a first step. You got to take a step. I don’t get what it is you want to have, and whatever you want to do, and whatever it is you want to be, You’ve got to take steps toward your goal.

So the longest journey begins with one single step. And then it’s just one step at a time. When it comes to the Bible, oh, it’s so thick. Got so many pages in it. So many books, so many chapters, so many verses. One verse at a time. Here a little there a little. Line up online, precept upon precept. And lo and behold, after a while, you’ll kind of get an idea of what the Bible is talking about. And it can greatly help you in your Christian life.

Look up here. This is part of all of this put together. That’s why you got to be faithful. Because there’s people who watch our broadcast. I mean I’ve had emails from people in strangest places and it’s interesting some in the last couple of days, different parts of the country and parts of the world. But let in this hand represent you and me, the wallet represents sin. We all have sin upon us. But God says that He loves us. He hates our sin.

He loves us and wants us to go to heaven. But our sin has to be paid. So therefore we are in debt. We owe a debt. And that payment is eternal separation from God. And how? God loves us and wants us to go to heaven and to go to heaven we have to be perfect, righteous as God. And none of us are perfect. We’ve all come short of God’s perfection. And because of that, we all have to die. So God says, you cannot earn eternal life by anything that you do.

Your good works cannot save you. That’s why we needed a Savior. This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. Came into the world because He loves us, hates our sin, because our sin separates us from the Lord. So Jesus Christ took the sin of all the world. Now understand this important issue right here. When Christ died on the cross and paid for all the sin of the world, that means from the first sin that was ever committed to the last sin that will ever be committed.

When Christ died from the first sin to the last sin, and every sin in between he paid for it. So we’re somewhere in here, right? So if he paid for the first sin and the last sin, he must have included us. And it was all our sins. So from the time I’m born to the time I died, that would include all of my sins. He died for me. So from the first sin to the last sin, all sins in between Jesus Christ died for and came back from the dead and said that if you and I, if we would believe that he He paid for our sins.

He would put the payment to our account and we get to go to heaven and what He did for us. That’s the best news I’ve ever heard in a whole life. You know it’s been 55 years. I haven’t heard a better message yet. In 55 years, I’ve never heard a better message than this old story because if I believe it, you ought to see what I get. He gets to be my Father. I get to be His child. I inherit everything my Father owns.

of God join heirs with Christ. I’m going to go to heaven, get it brand new body. All because of what He did for me. That’s best news in the world. Let’s pray, shall we? The head by my clothes and no one looking around. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you trust Him? Which is simply between you and the Lord, talk to the Lord and say something something like this. Lord, I’m a sinner. Friends, we all are.

That’s just being honest. Nobody’s perfect. And Lord, I believe that when you died, you died for me. And God says that if you’ll believe that He would save you and give you eternal life, would you trust Him? If you’re watching by internet tonight, I pray that you will. And right where you are, that’s all you have to do because it’s the only thing you can do. Believe it. Will Do you believe Christ paid for your sins? Will you trust Him as your Savior?

If you do, God, give you eternal life. And if it’s eternal life, it lasts forever, it lasts forever. You go to heaven when you die. I pray that you’ll trust to learn. Is anyone here tonight with his bow knife closely? Yes, that made sense to me, and I will trust Christ as my Savior. If you will, would you slip in it very quickly and better up back down? Our Father, we thank you again for watching over us, for loving us, for giving us the free gift of eternal life.

For being able to be your children, We just ask nine of your blessings upon each one here. In Christ and we pray. Are you a new listener to Bibleline? Do you enjoy the teachings of Dr. Arnold?
