So God can never deny you salvation, but He could deny you the result of what a good life You know that the Christ could have had. Don’t you want God’s blessings here? And if he whards when you get to heaven, but he’s gonna deny you so much all because of a bad decision. Look what that one good decision, I’m trusting Christ to say we got for you. You became a child of God, you’re gonna get a brand new body, you’re gonna live with him in all eternity, walk on streets of gold, I mean everything gonna be totally blissed.

One decision you make. And now he’s left us here to have a multitude of decisions. I think there’s any consequences. Yeah, my eternal destination can never be touched. My going to heaven can’t be, you know, revoked. It cannot be a null. But there’s rewards that God would love to get you and honor in praise and glory for all eternity that you’re going to lose out on all because you denied Him the right to use you for His purpose. You see, we’re always battling between God’s will, what God wants, and what I want.

What about me? I mean, it’s my life. I mean, I ought to be able to do whatever I want to do. I didn’t ask to be born, you know. Well, who did? Look what he says. In verse 13, if we believe not yet he abides his faithful, he cannot deny himself. You see, when you trusted Christ, what did he promise to do for you? Save you? Well, what if down the road you get to where? Because you didn’t read, you didn’t study, you didn’t serve him, you didn’t advance in the knowledge of the Lord and you can even doubt your own salvation?

Well, he can’t deny himself. Look what he says there in verse 19. Verse 19, nevertheless the foundation of God’s standard sure having this seal. What is the seal? The Lord knoweth them that are his. When you trusted Christ as your Savior, does God know who you are? Does God know who you are? God knows His children. And He said He could never cast you out, He could never lose you. So once you’re a child of God, you’re always a child of God.

And even if you stop believing, I’m sorry, but you have to go to heaven anyway, because God cannot change His promise. He can’t change His Word. So you don’t have to ever worry about losing your salvation, but you could lose a lot of the impact that you could have made in your life. Look what he says here in verse 14, of these things, put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no prophet.

You see, in your Christian life, there’s things about profit and no profit. When you studied James in chapter 2, it says, what does that profit my brethren? So we’re talking about the profit and a Christian’s life. You see, God left you here because he God’s a businessman. When God plants something, He wants something to come back. God did something, He wants results. And God says concerning you in your life, you see, God wants profit from you. He wants something back from what He’s done for you.

Now He saved you, gave you eternal life, left you here. How profitable is your life being spiritually? Spiritually, how you doing? Are you You’re growing in the Lord, but you’re in in the Lord. Can you do more for the Lord now because you have applied yourself and become fit for the Lord’s work over what you have been in the last few years? Are you closer to the Lord? Are you still walking with the Lord? Does He mean more to you?

Are you growing or becoming more godly? Or are you becoming more like the world? Been conformed to the world, fallen in love with the world? Nobody can answer those questions except you and God. God already knows where you are, doesn’t He? Look what else she said. Why do you think this is so important when he says they’re in verse 15? Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that need not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth.

I wonder who this is supposed to be for. This is beyond it for certain people, right? Or maybe this is for all of God’s children. When he says these things right, I unto you that you may know that you have eternal life. these things have I written on you that believe. So it’s written to those who believe that you can know you have eternal life. So who was it written to? Those who believe. Studying to show thyself approved. Approved.

Under God. A workman. Why do you study the Bible? So you can do something with it. God’s looking for workman. Remember he said this for the The harvest is great, but the labors are few. Why are there a few labors? Because you have to work to be a labor. You have to be fit. You’ve got to do something. But now if you wanted to start a new business, you would learn how to do whatever it takes and because you want to make profit.

Well what about spiritual profit? You know the Bible says in the book of Matthew in chapter 6, he said, lay up treasure in heaven where thieves cannot break through and steal. Something you can’t lose. He warns once they’re laid up, can never be lost. You can only lose what you could have done and didn’t do. When God said, he wants you to receive a full reward means, he wants you to serve your Lord with all your life, with all your heart.

Look what he says back here. In verse 16, when you wanna do something that’s right and positive, you also have to stop something that’s not good. There’s always people trying to put you down and hold you back. They’re not positive. They really don’t care about your life. But he says in verse 16, but shuntrophane and vain babbles, for they will increase under more ungodliness. Anything that causes you to become more ungodly, stay away from. And the things that will help you to be godly go toward.

Simple. How easy it is. But he says in verse 17, but their word will eat at death the canker of whom it’s Imanius and phileus, who concerning the truth have aired. There’s people who don’t believe the truth and peach, their heir. And then there’s Christians who haven’t matured in the Lord that will believe it and it’ll affect their whole lives. You can listen to somebody who would down your discourage you from serving God and you’ll listen to what they say.

And then you’ll influence somebody else. And after all, you’d be surprised how many people that won’t serve the Lord wholeheartedly because they’ve been influenced. Somebody lied to them. You see, whenever the Lord’s in, something the devil’s in it also. the devil’s trying to destroy every person because he can’t get your soul. He wants to ruin your life and your testimony, the influence, the power that’s in your life. Now, look what he says here in verse 18, who concerning the truth have aired and get this saying that the resurrection is passed already and overthrew the faith of some.

Can you have your faith overthrown? Yes. In other words, your faith can be shipwrecked. Well, that’s what he’s talking about down here when he says, if we deny him, he’ll deny us. And if we believe not yet he abided faith in him, if you don’t believe, well, that’s what he’s talking about up here concerning through. Your faith has been overthrown. You don’t believe like you should believe. You didn’t apply the word of God to your life. So you’re not as strong as you ought to be, a weak Christian.

And when you are like that, you’re not going to have a strong testimony, a strong life. You’re not going to be able to get people to trust Christ to save you because you want witness. You’re not going to be able to get people to challenge and serve the Lord because you won’t be doing it yourself. You see, water seeks its own level. Do you want to serve God? Well that’s what this is all about. This is why we have the Bible College.

This is why we want to teach some of these kids. I remember some of these kids when they first came here. John John right there in that Trent and even Devin and look right behind the mayor’s Justin and Tyler but listen I need them a few years back and it’s been wonderful watching how God has worked in their life and how they’re maturing and growing in the Lord and if down the road they get to do something great for the Lord it’s because they’ve been preparing themselves and it ain’t easy for them They have to leave home, leave jobs, but they’re always having to give up something and live together.

They may not be the greatest guys in the world to live with, but God is going to take and prepare and work. But wouldn’t it be great? Think about this. What if we had a hundred guys just like John John here? A hundred of them like that. We could turn the world upside down. But some people will never do anything and they’ll never know. Now whether they make it or not, I don’t know. They may not even make it through the semester.

I mean, we make animal. But you pray for them. The devil’s gonna be after them. Any? If I was a devil, I’d be after these guys. But it makes a difference. Now look what else he says. And it lets you know in the middle part of verse 19 where he says, the Lord knoweth them that are his. that are His. Even though if your faith gets overthrown, salvation is never lost because it depended upon God. Your salvation that depends on you.

Your Christian life depends on your walk and your obedience, your discipleship with the Lord. So He makes the statement, let everyone that name of the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Look what I said. I didn’t write this. Look at it. Let everyone that name of the name of Christ. Are you a believer in him, let him do what? Depart from iniquity. There are things that God does not want you to do because you’re his child. If you’re his child, you’re supposed to live like his child.

Act like his child. Talk like his child. In the words, if you’re a child of the king, use the language of the court. Can you quote scripture? Can you quote it? Well, I’ll remember one verse in the Bible says Jesus’ web. I don’t know where it’s said, but I know it’s in the Bible. And that might be the limit of your Bible members. Wouldn’t it be a shame to live for 15, 20, 30, 40 years as a child of God and you can’t quote one scripture.

Wouldn’t that be a shame? And oh, I love the Lord. Oh, I just love the Lord. Well, tell me about him. What about the Lord? Was he done for you lately? What has he done for you? What has he taught you lately? What have you been reading lately from the scriptures that really has Bless your little peep-picking heart, huh? Well, I just don’t have time. Okay, when you get to see God, Lord, I was going to read your work.

God didn’t have time. I just didn’t have time. Wait a minute. He used to want to give you life. And you don’t have time for him? No, you made choices. You made choices. You chose not to have time. You have time to do everything God wants you to do. Just the devil that tells you you don’t. God says, yes you do. God would not ask us to do something. We cannot do. Look what else he says. He said in verse 20, but in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth.

Some to honor, some to dishonor. Every house. He said, let me tell you this. He said, some of the honor and some of the dishonor. Do you want to be a child of God that brings honor? Or do you want to be a child of God that brings dishonor? One way or the other? But it’s your choice. This is to God’s children. This isn’t to the lost man. This is to believers. And so he makes the statement in verse 21, if a man therefore purge himself from these.

So it is the will of God that every child of God depart from iniquity. And if a man will purge himself, that means clean up your life. God wants you to live a clean, godly, holy life. I didn’t write the book. But I’m responsible to try to tell you what it says as sweetly as I know how. And this is as sweetly as I know how. Now somebody else might put some butter on it and some honey on it, but it’s still same truth.

If you read it without Yankee’s input, it still says the same thing. So he does make the statement, if therefore it purge yourself from the he shall be. That’s a promise. That’s a promise guaranteed. He shall be a vessel, but not just a vessel. He shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet or fit for the master’s use and prepared unto every what? Good work. Are you prepared to do the work of God? Are you fit for the master’s use?

Are you someone that God can use? Now God says He wants to use you, but you’re the one that has to prepare to be used. Wouldn’t it be neat though right now we haven’t planted an acorn tree, we just planted an acorn. We want to see an oak tree grow that down the road if God should tear it, that we could have a hundred to two hundred students studying, preparing themselves to be fit for the master’s use. Because if we don’t do it, okay, who are we dependent upon to do it?

The church down the road? We’re dependent upon some of the Bible college out there to produce the people that are clear on the clarity of the gospel. Don’t y’all remember that Hank Lindstrom was clear on the gospel and that’s why this ministry is here? He just wanted to start at the Bibleline. He just wanted to find out this church. He just wanted to head to ranch. He just wanted to dig camps, but he’s not here. But he came because he had gone to Bible College and had a dream.

He saw something. He wanted to do something. Now, don’t we want that to continue after we’re dead? He probably thought that he was going to live until the rapture never had to… Well, he didn’t make it. Now that I’m here, tell you, well, I’m going to live until the rapture. Well, I may not make it. By the way, I talked to the Lord and He says, He’s coming to Mark 12. Just joking. You’ll sell your home and be sitting on top of your house If you do bring the money over and give it to the college But notice what he says here He says Prepared unto every good word so God says you can do so much more and you can be a vessel of honor Or you can choose to be a vessel with God’s ashamed of your testimony Look what else he says

verse 22 to the child of God three also youthful lust As long as you live in this physical body, these sinful lusts and desires are going to follow you all the days of your life because they’re in your physical body. It’s not like, well, if I really love the Lord, I won’t have those wrong desires anymore. Yes, you will. You’ll have them to the day you die until you get rid of this body. And you’re going to have bad thoughts and the black birds are going to fly over.

Now, you can’t help those black birds when they fly over. But if they stop building nests in your hair, you’re going to stop that. You can’t fault all those bad thoughts that come into your mind, but keep them going. Here comes another one, keep it going. It’s when you start dwelling upon the things that you shouldn’t dwell upon. Thinking about things you ought not be thinking about and doing the things you ought not be doing. This is why he says, Flee also useful us because they can destroy your life.

if you’re guilty of watching pornography, shame on you. Turn that channel, don’t watch that stuff because it’s not good for your mind to dwell upon those things. Remember this when he talks about Lot in the Bible, it says that he lived in a place called Sodom and Gomorrah and he vexed his righteous soul from day in the day by cause of what he saw and what he heard. I don’t believe it’s good for people to see it or listen to it.

So guard yourself, flee these lusts of the flesh. Because if you want to serve God, you can’t do the other. You’ve got to make up your mind. Many of God’s children have never made up their mind. I’ve seen that stuff. It’s destroyed families, destroyed the individual, it’s destroyed ministry. Keep your mind straight. Keep your life pure. And nobody else says here. But follow, see it tells you what not to do, it didn’t tell you what to do. Follow righteousness, faith, charity.

How do you follow faith? You can’t even see it. Faith coming by hearing and hearing by the, follow the word of God. Put your confidence in what the word says and follow it. If you take and put all the things that God’s word says to do that’s right, it’ll become a path of righteousness. You can do this. And then he says here, with them, see those two words with them? God will circle it in your Bible. Because you see, you don’t serve the Lord faithfully as righteously all by your lonesome.

It’s so important to have fellowship with God’s people. The longer you miss going to church and spending time with God’s people and been involved in the ministry, you’re not going to stay as strong as you would have been. Now notice. He says, serve the Lord with them out of a pure heart. Then He says they’re in verse 23. But foolish and unlearned questions avoid knowing that do gender strife, just endless arguments about things that would get you nowhere and solve no problems.

He says so in verse 24, and the servant of the Lord, I think that would refer to us. Served the Lord must not strive, but be gentle unto all men at the teach, patient. In meatness instructing those that opposed themselves. Did you realize that most Christians are against themselves, they’re doing things that hurt themselves. You realize that when you stand at the jigance of the Christ and you see what you could have done and the reward you could have had and how it’s going to hurt you and God’s going to white boy all peers from their eyes because it didn’t have to be like that.

And whenever I look at people, I want the best for them. I don’t want you to be ashamed before the Lord is coming. I want you to live a cleaner life as you possibly can. You say, well, that’ll make fun of me. I don’t care. How many people are going to persecute you because you try to live a godly life? Do it anyway, and you do it for the Lord because you know the Lord, you’re going to win with Him.

You don’t want to do those things that would make you ashamed. So notice what he says. He says, if God perventable, give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, to change your mind. You know what I’m working for? This morning? Every one of you in here that’s not serving the Lord with all your heart. You really want to serve Him. You really want to be used. You really want to prepare yourself. I want to help you. And then those that don’t, that are against serving God with all their heart, you oppose yourself.

You’re against you having the best. You think you can live this life better with God or without God. If you think without God, you’re messed up. You’re mentally retarded. If you serve the Lord in this life, this one of the greatest things you could ever have, and the most fulfilling life, a purposeful life, a joyful life, a meaningful life. There isn’t anything worth living better than serving God. And God wants that for you. And I just want to tell you what he wants.

So he says in verse 26, if you don’t do what God wants you to do, if you don’t over there where he talks about endure the hardness They don’t want to be that person that’s a husband man or the athlete, the soldier, all those things that are describing the Christian life, then Satan is going to be able to take you captive at his will. And you won’t even know you’ve been captured. You’ve been captured. And they that may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil who are taken captive by Him at His will.

You see, you’re either going to do the will of God or the will of Satan. If you don’t do what God wants you to do, you’re going to do what Satan wants you to do. You are not neutral. You’re not neutral. You can’t be neutral. Well, I’ll just do whatever I want. That sounds of like the devil. And that’s why five times he says, I will, I will, I will, I will, I will. Then the 14th chapter of the book of Isaiah, when he rebelled against God, I’m going my way.

And this is why Jesus told the Pharisees there in the 8th chapter of John, he says, ye are of your Father the devil and the lust of your Father you will do. He was a liar from the beginning and he lies and deceives and we were born to this world as children of the wicked one. We had the old devil’s nature. Your old sinful nature is the devil’s nature. You understand that? That’s why you have that working inside of you always pulling and droughts.

I’ve had people say, well, if I’d have been in the garden of Eden and he told me not to eat that fruit, I wouldn’t have done it. Well, glory. Well, God’s telling you now what to do. And if you don’t do it, who you think you’re listening to. So the Lord wants the best for you. The all therefore my son be strong in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Look up here. I know I talked to believers this morning.

But if you are not one of those people that have trusted Christ as you say, If you don’t know that you’re going to have them in your diet, don’t think for a moment, you’ve got to do all these things in order to go to heaven you don’t. So what do I have to do? Well, I’m glad you asked. Let me show you. That’s right. This hand represents you and me. The wallet represents sin. We all have sin on us.

Now God says that He loves us, and He does. He loves us. That He hates what we do wrong. You’ve got children, you love your kids, but you hate what you do wrong. Now I know some parents that hate your kids. But anyway, God says that He loves us but He hates our sin. And for us to pay for the sin is eternal separation from God. Now He doesn’t want us to be separated from Him. He wants us to have eternal life and they go to heaven.

But you rely to be separated from God means an eternity in a literal fire burning hell. That’s why you need a Savior because there is a place to be saved from. You do away with hell then there’s no reason for a Savior. I can’t lessen that because I don’t, well, that doesn’t sound good. People don’t like to hear about that. I don’t care if they don’t like to hear it. It’s still the truth. There’s a hell and I need a Savior.

So God says to go to heaven, we have to be perfect as Christ. This is God. None of us are perfect because of sin. We can’t get in. So God says you cannot save yourself. You can’t change this situation. There’s no good works that you could do that will ever pay for one sin. All of your good works that you’ll do all your life will not for one sin, not a one. This hand represents Jesus Christ, is the Lord God in the flesh.

Came into the world because He loves us, hates our sin because our sin separates us from it. So Christ took the sin, paid for it on the cross, came back from the dead. And He said that if you and I would believe that He did it for us. He would put this payment to our account. We go to heaven on what he did. See, that’s the gift of God. He did the work because we couldn’t, we could not save ourselves.

We couldn’t change ourselves. We’re going to die and be separated from God. So he showed his love for us by taking our sins and paying for them, all of them, for all people, once and for all, when he died on the cross, came back from the dead and said, the only thing he wanted you and I to do is believe he did it for us. You can handle that. You can do that. Because I’m not asking you to stand up and come forward.

I’m not asking you to sign anything. You don’t have to give any money. You don’t do anything. But God does require that you believe that what He did, He did it for you. Would you do that? Let’s pray, shall we? With every head, out and every eye, close, no one looking around. Would you write down the quietness of this moment? Just talk to the Lord. It’s the Lord. I don’t understand it all. But I believe that when Christ died, I believe He died for me.

And I’m never trusting Him as my Savior before. I never understood before. So friend, I’m not going to ask you to stand up and come for it, but I am going to ask you in just a moment to raise your hand. Raising your hand doesn’t save you. It just lets me know that what I said made sense to you. And you said in preacher, that did make sense to me. And I want to know that I’m going to heaven when I die.

And I’d like for you to pray for me. We’ll just slip you in it very quickly and put it right back down. Say, what it all? Then we’ll all just God bless you, buddy. You can put it down. Anyone else? Anyone else to say, yes, that made sense to me, and I want to trust Christ as my Savior. No gimmicks. Anyone else? Yes, God bless you, buddy. Appreciate that. It’s a sign of good judgment. Only a fool would turn down a free gift.

Anyone else right before we close? Don’t want to rush it because this is the most important thing in a person’s life. Yes, God bless you. I’ll see you ahead. Anyone else? Put heads to your body and eyes, close. You didn’t know Christ is your Savior. Do you want to serve or learn? Are you struggling? Do you want to prepare yourself to be used by God? I’m not going to trick you or anything like that. You say, I need special prayer, and I like for the church to pray for me.

I want to serve the Lord. I want to be fit for the Master’s use. I want God to use me in whatever way he wants. And I like for the church to remember, main prayer. Would you just slip your hand very quickly and rub it down? Just God lets you and you. Yes, there’s many hands all over. And then when I’ll just slip it up very quickly, just publish. Many of y’all making a lot of, these are heavy decisions that affect your whole life.

Father, we are thankful so much for what you’ve done for us. We thank you for those that indicate about an uplifted hand that they would trust your Savior. By doing so, they become your child. You’ll never cast them out, never lose them. And Father also, we pray, Lord, Your will to be done in the lives of each one here. Especially these that have requested prayer. Lord, they want to know you in a greater way. They want to serve you.

their lives to amount to something. They’re seeking your will for their life. We pray, Lord, that they would do whatever it takes to be fit for the Master’s use. So bless each one of them.
