So you have the legislative body, you have the judicial courts, and you have the executive branch. three separate branches of government. And so there’d be chicks and balances on each other so that no group can have more power than what they’re supposed to have so they can dominate or toward a disjore the other. It’s not to be done. Now, look at the next statement. Regarding the presidential oath of office, Justice Joseph Story wrote, the duty imposed upon him to take care that the laws be faithfully executed follows out the strong injunctions of his oath of office that he will preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution.

Now when a president goes into office, whoever it may be, it’s not going to be they don’t have to take an oath of office. Will you uphold all those things you said you was going to do? That’s not part of it. Are you going to do this thing about trade? Are you going to build a wall line in Mexico? Are you going to, you don’tnownst to nothing like that? He can promise that all he wants to. She can promise everything she wants to.

And we’re going to give you a free high school education and college education. And they’re going to give me, give me, give me, give me. And they promise to give away all of a sudden. You see, those things are not in the Constitution. They don’t have the right to promise something. They don’t have the Constitution authority to do. Look at the next statement. The great object of the executive department is to accomplish this purpose. Story wrote further that if the president does not honor his oath, his office, will be utterly worthless for the protection of rights, for the happiness or good order or safety of the people.

So this is why if a person doesn’t protect or honor that Constitution, then there is going to be an opening of the borders because there’s no defense. You’re not going to have a strong military because you’re not protecting our country. So those are constitutional issues about protecting our borders because it boils down to the Constitution. That is a constitutional issue. Our military being strong and so forth to defend us from any outside we’re supposed to have a strong government.

That’s a constitutional issue. Now, given everybody the freebies and so forth, that’s not a constitutional issue. You can search it all day long. You won’t find it in there, but in there. So we’re doing a lot of things, just like public schools of the NEA, government involved in education. They have no authority. It’s not in the Constitution, but look how much money is spent on the national level for something that they have no right to do. But they can control the whole nation because they can determine kids must go to school.

And we run the schools. We set the standards for the teachers. We compel everybody to support the schools, the buses, the teachers, unions, and all those thing and they are mostly in the Democratic Party that are making a lot of these programs that we know is not going to work and they simply have control of the minds of the kids so you can buy an election because you’ll teach those kids as they come up to vote for the people that will give you the most.

Why do you think so many people wanted to vote for Bernie Sanders? He promised him. Three lunch? Well, that’s the way that people are. So it bothers me that so many people don’t get our form of government, what they’re to do and what they’re not to do. Anyways, we’ll move along here. Look at the next one down at the bottom of the page. Members of Congress and Commission military personnel are also required by statute to solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and what’s out of the word.

home that’s here too. Outside, inside. Remember if they can’t storm the gate they infiltrate. But anyway, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion. So help me God. So we have Congress at Square Shwaphol the Constitution and yet most of them, it doesn’t appear that they even know what it says because they pass laws that are totally outside the realm of the Constitution.

But anyway, as things move along, look on the back page. The old for enlisted military personnel. Now whenever I went into the Navy, I had to take this. Bob Gilbert says he went in there, he had to take this. Anybody else in military that you have been in here? All right, a few of you. So you had to take the same oath of office. And whenever you took it, it’s too late now, but you’re backing out. Too late. The oath for enlisted military personnel repeats the appreciating affirmation that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same and then it concludes with I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me according to regulations and the uniform code of military justice so helped me

God. Now when we read in the book of Romans in chapter 13 about the power that’s over you, this last one we just read goes a little bit further than the others because you see here They have to obey also the orders of the president. That’s why he is the commander in chief. He’s in charge over the military. And so whenever they go into the military, they have to swear that they will uphold the constitution, but also the presidency of the United States.

Now, Congress doesn’t have to do that. They don’t square no allegiance to the presidency. They swear allegiance to the constitution. That’s why if whatever the president says, and they had to obey that, well then there is no separation of powers and the president would be over Congress because he could say, this is what I want you to do and they have to do it. Militarily, yes. And those that are under officers, then they have to do whatever they’re told to do.

But there is a difference. Now look at the next statement. The subtle distinction between officer oath and enlisted oath is that officers are bound to disobey any orders that violates our Constitution. That means the officers and our congressmen are supposed not to uphold anything that the President says if it violates the Constitution. And the officers, our military officers, commissioned officers is a protection that the President cannot authorize them to do something that is unconstitutional, and they should say no, and not do it.

Because they also oppose the Constitution, and not to obey the President. The President is not king, not in our country. So look at the next statement. Similar oath are taken by state and locally elected representatives, and federal and state and local and civil servants. So people do this all over. Now look at the next statement. Notably, these oaths mandate the preservation, protection, support, and defense of our Constitution as ratified, not a so-called living Constitution. The Constitution is in concrete.

It’s not living like they wanna say, well, it means what it does today. No, it means what it meant when it was written. So you always go back to what were the original intent of our founding fathers, what did they mean when they wrote it? Not what people today want to make it mean. And this is how we’re losing some of our, I guess you could say, freedom, because people are Saying, well, it’s on a live document, and that means it could be changed anywhere along the domain what we think it means today.

No, what did it mean when it’s the same thing with the Bible? Does the Bible mean what it meant when it was written or what we want it to mean today? Whenever it was written. That’s the way it is. Now notice it. The next paragraph, while uniformed Americans serve on our nation, defend our Constitution with their lives, Constitution with their lives, many elected officials debase it by enacting extra constitutional empowerment of the central government, invariably to appease special constituencies and or to perpetuate their office.

When people get into place of office, they’re supposed to be there to serve and then get out. But now when they get there, they want to stay there. And so it might not be a bad thing to have a limitation upon certain things, but I don’t think that those that are in there are going to pass anything that would limit them from all these terms that they stay in. And some have been there for 40-50 years. And so now they work the system.

Have you ever wondered how these people who are our servants can go into government and be poor when they get there and multi-millionaires when they leave on what we pay them. Now, I’m not going to tell you anything. You can figure it out for yourself. But anyway, the next statement here, we invited you to reaffirm your oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic means. If we have enemies in America that want to destroy our country, we’re supposed to defend our country.

Now, if we know there’s people that come to America and their ultimate goal is to destroy our country, I don’t think they ought to be here. They don’t have the right. Now let me just read this to you because it deals with aliens and so forth. And I’m not talking about those mystical creatures from outer space. This was written some time ago. Remember the name of Samuel Adams? He wrote this because they had the same issue about immigration. On fair and uncontrolled elections depend under God, the whole superstructure of our government should corruption ever insert itself in our elections, there would be great danger of corruption in our government, that elections may not be contaminated by strangers or unqualified persons.

May it not be necessary that every man may be known as far as possible when he presents himself to give his vote. This may be more especially important in our seaports and other populist towns in which many foreigners of all sorts frequently reside. I would be far from dictating to you, but I would submit to your judgment whether considering the liberality of this country to foreigners and the frequency of their naturalizations. It may not be eligible that such foreigners should be required when they offer their vote to the select men of the towns to produce authentic certificates from the courts by by which they were endowed with so high a privilege as a test of their citizenship.

In other words, they should be able to prove their citizens. That’s 200 years ago. And send it, if you’re going to vote, you need to prove who you are. Now, if they thought so back then, do you think that’s important today? Why would people want people to vote when you don’t know who they are or if they are even a citizen of the United States of America. What would be the real reason? Well, you wouldn’t want to deprive anybody of their right to vote.

And yet, you can’t do anything else. Well, that being able to prove who you are. It’s amazing they want to give so many people free healthcare, but they still got to sign up and prove who they are. But anyway, I think it’s important. We’re living in some very dark days. Now take your Bible and go back to the book of Romans and chapter 13. Romans chapter 13, and when he talks here about this government of ours, look at again verse 1, now let every soul be subject unto the higher powers, for there is no power but of God.

There’s no authority. You see, God created man and he’s the one that says how man is to be governed. Man is to be the head of his home and then there’s leadership over the church. And God also instituted government, three institutions. And so as a government, God wants us to make wise decision because those people are going to either enforce the law or not enforce the law. If they don’t enforce the law, we’re going to have chaos like we’re having around the country even today.

Remember a couple years ago, I told you, I said, it’s going to come down. They’re going to have riots in the streets. And they’re going to do the best they can to stir it up and create an environment for violence. It’s not an accident. And all of a sudden somebody thought of this, no, it’s orchestrated. It’s orchestrated. Just because a guy shoots another guy. How does it help burning down somebody else’s buildings, Sitting their cars on fire, killing five or ten other people, beating people up, throwing rocks at police.

How does that solve the problem? It doesn’t. It’s not meant to solve a problem. It’s to create more havoc. So eventually down the road, we have an overthrow in our country, and you’ll be surprised how dangerous it can be very quickly. But then that’s another sermon. Now I want you to take your Bible and turn to the book of 1 Peter, 1 Peter and chapter 2.

1 Peter chapter 2. Since you and I are here in this world, we’ve got to live here in this world. The Apostle Paul and Peter in all the apostles, they suffered greatly at the hands of government. Moses, like I’ve said before, was having to deal with his parents with laws that the government said. They were to kill all the baby boys and they disobeyed. Because see the law that Pharaoh made goes against a law that God gave and that’s not to be done.

That’s an innocent life. They had they write to to life. So there’s things that you disobey. When the disciples were here, the apostles and so forth, it says they were threatened that they preach no more in the name of Jesus Christ. And so they said, what shall we do? Shall we listen to you or should we listen to God? Though they listen to God and so they have threatened them not to preach any more Jesus’ name and they put some of them in jail and an angel came and let them out of jail and they went back out there preaching in the streets again.

But I notice what he says here in verse 9. In verse 9 says, but ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people that ye should show forth the praises of who had called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Now if you ever wonder what is your purpose in life, what kind of words it right there, you should show forth the praises of him who have called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

So your whole life should be one big life of praise to the Lord for what he’s done for you. Then he says in verse 10, which in time passed were not a people, but are now the people of God. Now I can get into a little bit more and say this is talking about just to the nation of Israel, and this is also to those that are the remnant and so on, and that these are all Jewish people, and it can be, but this is an application that I’m referring to at this time, which have not obtained mercy because when we read the book of Romans and we get into that in chapter 11, it talks about this very same thing here.

But now have obtained mercy. In verse 11, dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims. Strangers were away from home, pilgrims were going home. Abstain from fleshly lust because you and I are in a war. Now we have citizenship in two countries. One is in heaven, one down here. So we’re living here in this country But we are ambassadors representing another country. So how does God want his ambassadors to live in this foreign country? So he says, and abstain from the fleshly lust with war against the soul.

So while we’re in this world, God says we’re not of the world, but we’re in the world, but we’re not of this world. We’re from another world. We’ve been born from above. But we’re in this world, and so because we’re in this world, God says, I don’t want you to fight the world’s battles in the sense of giving into the flesh. And he says, stand against the wiles of the devil. You’re not this world, don’t live like this world, don’t act like this world, don’t talk like this world, you represent me in this world.

And he says in verse 12, having your conversation or your citizenship honest among the Gentiles that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may be by your good works which they have behold glorified God and the day of visitation. Now there’s a lot about Gentiles and Jews because we believe that Peter is addressing some of these people that were Jewish believers. Then it’s true. Verse 13, submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether be to the king as supreme or under governors as under them that are sent by him for the punishment of evil doers.

See when the government punishes the evil doers, it should not be punishing God’s people. But if you’re going to suffer, and then the book of Peter talks about a lot about the sufferings of God’s people in this life. Because, just think it not strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you as though some strange thing has happened to you. But he says, if you’re gonna suffer, suffer because you did what was right. Just look at that real quick, and show you that.

See what he says here? Looking verse 17 of chapter, the first Peter chapter three. Look at verse 14 also. But in verse 14, but if ye suffer for righteousness sake, happy are ye. And be not afraid of their terra, neither be troubled. If you’re gonna suffer, suffer because you did what was right, not because you did what was wrong. And then in verse 17, for it is better if the will of God be so that you suffer for well doing than for evil doing.

So if you’re living in this world, don’t do evil in this world and you need you suffer for it. And then you say, I’m just suffering for Jesus’ sake. It might be because you were stupid. It might be because you made wrong decisions. It might be because you rendered evil for evil. You know, the person who always fires back gets caught. I know that for a fact. I learned the hard way. But so he goes through here and he talks a lot about the suffering.

But look down in chapter four, looking verse one. For as much then as Christ had suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourself, likewise, with the same mind for he that hath suffered in the flesh, it sees from sin. You may suffer because you do right, but if you didn’t do right, you’d have done the wrong, and doing the wrong is the sin. So you don’t want to do the wrong, and then suffer for it, you want to do right.

And if you suffer for Paul, you did what was right. Praise the Lord. And this is why this is from, now look there in chapter four, but look over there in verse, let me see what a good verse here. verse 12 where it says, beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you. Because as long as we’re living in this world, it’s going to. Which is to try you as though some strange thing happened unto you, but rejoice in as much as you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, that when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.

It’s a good verse, looking verse 15, but let none of you suffer as a murderer or as a thief or as an evil doer or as a busy body and other men’s matters. Yet if any men suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this behalf. Hey look, you’re a child of God. You do right. If you live godly, you’re gonna suffer persecution. The Bible promises that. So do right. That doesn’t mean we’re going to love you and appreciate you, but you may have to suffer consequences because of that.

Now go back very quickly so we can end up here in 1 Peter chapter two, where it makes a statement. In verse 13, submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake. Then in verse 14, we’re unto governors as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers. And for the, now this is the purpose of government, punish the evil doers and praise those that do what’s right. But government doesn’t always do what’s right.

Now when Christ comes and sets up his kingdom on the earth, we won’t have to worry about it. Somebody wants to sue you, give him your coat also. He bids you to go a mile, go two miles. It won’t matter why, because the king’s here and he’s going to take care of everything. Somebody slaps you on the side of your cheek, don’t worry about it. The king’s here. He’ll slap him back for you. So you can just turn the other cheek if you want to.

You don’t have to worry about why, because there’s going to be righteous rule here. There’s going to be people here that’s not going to be that righteous during the kingdom, but God is going to deal with it because he’s ruling. So he says here in verse 15, for so is the will of God. Get this. That with well-doing, you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men. and not to use your liberty as a cloak of maliciousness, as a license to sin.

I’m a child of God? It doesn’t matter what I do. I’m going to have it anyway. Don’t use your liberty as a cloak of maliciousness. Something to hide behind. God has not given us a license or permission to rebel against Him or to rebel against righteous demands of a government. If they’re righteous demands, and if it’s possible, live peaceably with all men. So sometimes I despise giving in. I despise compromise. But sometimes I have to pick and choose what battle I want to fight.

And some of them are not worth fighting. Now, I hope some of this will make a little sense to some of you. I it does. Look up here. This hand represents you and me. This is sin. We all have sin on us. Now God loves us. He’s our sin, but He loves us. And the Bible says for us to pay for sin is eternal separation from the Lord. So since everybody is sin, everybody is condemned. So we cannot save ourselves from this condemnation.

There’s a law that says the soul that sineth shall die. We follow sin, we are going to die. But God loves us once to go to heaven and to go to heaven we have to be perfect as righteous as God and none of us are perfect. So how are we gonna ever get to heaven? Well, we got to get rid of this and don’t we get rid of this? You got to pay for it unless there’s another way there is this hand represent Jesus Christ.

He’s the Lord God in the flesh came into the world because he loves us, hates our sin because separates us from the Lord. So Jesus Christ who had no sin didn’t have to die so he took all the sin of all the world, paid for them the cross, came back from the dead. And God said that whosoever believed that he did it for them, they would not perish me, they won’t go to hell, but have everlasting life and get to go to heaven.

So he says these things have I written unto you that believe that you may know that you have eternal life. So when you believe it God saves you, gives you eternal life and you can know that you’re going to heaven when you die. That’s news in all the world. Let’s pray, shall we? We’ll head about nice clothes and no one looking around. You may be watching by internet tonight and I found out I got one email from somebody in New Zealand, New Zealand, that trusts the Lord.

That’s exciting. But regardless of where you may be, God loves you and wants you to have eternal life and wants you to go to heaven. So right now in the quietness of this moment, will you trust Jesus Christ as your Savior? Will you believe that when he died, he died for you? And that he will give you as a free gift, eternal life. Not because you deserve it, but because he loves you. It’s a gift, totally free. I pray that you will.

Father, thank you so much for this opportunity to come before your people and to tell them these things that I believe are very important. We pray that your will would be done help us to do what’s right. We just pray Lord for wisdom in all these matters. Thank you for these people. Thank you for this night. Christ and we pray. Amen.
