You see, you’ve got to have communication where somebody can tell you, thus saith the Lord. This is what He says. This is what I want you to do. Now, establish him in the structure of the church. This is where you find out, okay, well, who’s the pastor? Or anybody wants to be? Now, let me tell you this. At Calvary Community Church, we do not have women preachers. They can preach at home to their husband, but I mean, not in the church.
We believe the scripture says that a man desired the office of a bit, a man. God laid it out, and when he came and he chose his apostles, they were all men. Don’t get mad at me. I’m just telling what the book says. There’s a lot of women out there marching in blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Maybe some of y’all are here. But I do believe that there’s a responsibility. I thought the other one, I’m taking care of kids.
But anyway, now I can get so sidetracked so easy right here. But I will not. I will refrain myself. But you study the Bible so you can know, okay, there’s pastors, elders, and there’s and there’s people in the church and everybody is to work together. Participation. Now, God laid it out. It’s just that we don’t always want to do what God says do. We have a rebellious nature. Have you noticed that? That sometimes we just don’t like somebody telling us what we have to do.
Don’t tell me when I got to go to church. I’ll go when I want to go. Blah, blah, blah. Every man did that which was right in his own eyes. That’s what happens. Or people become a maverick. You know, they don’t have to get involved because they don’t want no responsibility. You can’t depend on them. Wouldn’t it be a shame to have a choir, but nobody shows up? What kind of a choir will we have? If nobody shows up, do you think it’s important?
Well, what about ranch on Thursday night? And all the leaders decide they’re gonna show up that night. Well, whatever you want. What if the preacher shows up? Whatever he wants, or faithful, faithful, faithful. One thing I have tried to do is I’ve tried to take and be an example of what faithfulness is. I’m very seldom ever late for Sunday school. So whenever we got Sunday school it starts at 10, 15, 10, 30, whatever time we started, 9, 30, I think we started.
I don’t even know because I’m already out of bed before 6 o’clock anyway. Just so that I won’t be late. I’m just hoping nobody told me that I could, you know, what time it starts because I just always hear. I’m always here on time for church. Sunday nights, Wednesday nights, whenever I go, I tried to be faithful. I try to be faithful in my giving, faithful in everything that I do. I wanna be dependable because I’m supposed to be an example of the believer.
All of us are to be examples of the believer in word and deed and faith and all these things. But anyway, that’s what it is. And then establish them in ministry. That’s demonstration. Your discipleship is your proof of your love and commitment to Christ. How does anybody know you love the Lord or committed to the cause of Christ if you’re not found faithful? Doing the things that God says, if you love me, serve me. If you love me, serve me.
See, we’re going to heaven because he loved us. How did he show us he loved us? Well, he paid for our sins. He gave his life. Now, how do I prove that I love him? Give him my life. That’s why he says in the book of Romans in chapter 12, verse one, he says, I brethren, I beseech you therefore by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as the living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
So I’m to present myself to the Lord, my but as a sacrifice, give my life to the Lord. I don’t do that to be saved, but God says I beseech you in view of what I did for you. That’s what he means. In view of what I did for you, Will you do this for me?” They said, they’d be not conformed to this world. Do you live your life differently? Then a lost man. What is the purpose of life?
Now the lost man, well he doesn’t know the Lord, and he doesn’t have any rewards in heaven. He’s not going there. But some lost people live better lives than some of God’s children. True? Some of them have a better testimony and they guard what they say and where they go and things they do. Better than what some God’s children do. Can you still go to heaven? Yes. You have a choice. You mean obedient child of God or a obedient chalice God, but just still his child.
But it is the will of God that we demonstrate our love for the one who loved us. That’s why he says in 2nd Corinthians in chapter 5 and verse 14, for the love of Christ constraineth us. That means to challenge and motivate us that if one died for all, then all were dead, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves. But unto him who die for them and rose again. So I am supposed to, you’re supposed to live for the one who died for us, but who died for us?
What Christ? Are you serving Him? Are you a disciple of Christ? In other words, are you involved in a ministry in some way you’re doing something for the cause of Christ so that what He wants done, His vision, God’s vision, He’s not willing that any should perish, But all should come to repentant to change of mind, well, they can’t do that without gospel. So this is why we do what we do. That’s why I want you to support missions.
That’s when we’re helping. I want you to help us with the ranch and with the broadcast, all these same. I just got a salvation report just a couple days ago from David Bauer because of our YouTube and what we’ve been doing. And on the internet, we’ve had 830 people trust Christ of Savior in the last two years, two and a half years. 800, just on the thing. And not only that, I know where they were when they trusted Christ as Savior, because He got it fixed up with the computer, tell us that all automatic now.
It is awesome. It really is. But see, that’s because somebody’s making this stuff possible. People are working. And so we got people up here in the booth right now. And we’ll have somebody that’s done their net booth over there. And then we got Greg Bissell. He won’t take and spend all day long. All he does all day long is listen to me. How would you like that job? Set there by the hour, hours, six, seven hours every day, preparing the radio broadcast.
But it’s a job, it needs to be done. And then we got people that wanna help support these things. Now, one of the days is all gonna be over. You see, we don’t have to have a wide one inch asphalt. We got some people that are deep in the Word of God and love and appreciate what we’re doing and are a part of what we’re doing. And because of that, you see, you don’t have to be a big church to do big things.
We’re not, and what I was talking about, the mega church syndrome. Sometimes you’ll have people start a church and they’re not starting a church over with lost people and they want them. They just, like a gigantic vacuum cleaner, sucks them out of all the little churches and pulls them in there and they put on a great big entertaining show and people are sitting there and learn nothing but they’re entertained. And all they’ve done is just like having a Walmart come in and killed all the little mama pop stores.
And then they can rise to prices the anyway they want to. And churches are doing the same thing because people are not committed that way. You can get lost in the big church. Nobody knows you. If you’re not there, nobody knows. You miss here, we knew it. You say, that’s what I don’t like. Yeah, I know. I know who sits here, and I know who sits there. I know who sits there, and I know who sits here. And I know who sits back there, and I know who sits there, and I know who sits over there.
And next Sunday, when you’re not here, I’m going to know that too. And when I’m not here, do you know it? Yeah, because I tell everybody, I know. information without demonstration is intellectualism. You know something but it’s intellectual and knowledge puffeth up. But a knowledge of the word of God, coupled with an active ministry is true discipleship, is what God wants you to do. Learn the word in such a way that you can be found obedient. Now the philosophy of disciples is multiplication.
You see in Genesis chapter 1 it talks about their fruit multiplied. Multiply that fruit. And it was two of every kind. Why do you think you had to have two? Because God had a plan. Because God wanted those two to multiply. We had one kid who came to ranch. He trusted Christ to save you. Got married and they had six or 7 kids drop the bat. He said, well, you know, the Lord says, be fruitful and multiply. I said, yeah, but he means we can do the whole job.
So you want to reach the whole world is what God’s Word is all about. And Matthew, see it’s spiritual. Bear fruit. You go, you teach, and you’re baptized. That’s evangelism. That’s the part that God wants us to do. Multiply teach them to observe all things commanded. That’s discipleship. So it’s one thing to win people of Christ, But it’s another thing to get people to serve the Lord. We had some college kids. Those college kids about 8 of them were dying in Texas.
Well, see, they came to college. They were just some college kids. They’d go to camp. Now those kids have been trained where now they’re servants. They’re servants. It’s just like, you know, you and me, we’re sheep. We’re sheep. And because we’re sheep, well, we don’t want to teach you how to be the best little sheep you could possibly be. We want to take sheep and make shepherds out of them, leaders. Take those who know Christ is Savior and teach them to be leaders.
You always got to have some leaders, people that will head up ministries and do some things. One of these days, you remember about eight, nine years ago, you used to have a preacher here by the name of Hank. What was that name? See you already forgot, Dr. Hank Lindstrom. Remember he was here and he was a shepherd and then he died. Shepherds died. I thought I was going to throw out wings last week. But anyway, we’re going to die.
You got to produce some more shepherds. And some of you sitting here might just say, you know, I need to go to Baba College because see, you’d be surprised. Have y’all heard John, John speak? You heard Jesse speak? The other night, we had Tyler speak, and then we had Trent was speaking. Did you realize they couldn’t have done this a few years ago? They can’t now, why? Because they’re being trained. That’s discipleship. Florida Bible College is a discipleship program.
Ranch is who we’re reaching people. Everything that we do, we got this in the back of our mind, we have a responsibility. I told Betty a long time ago, I said, honey, if I didn’t know the Bible, if I didn’t know God, didn’t know the Bible, I’d build me a cabin on the backside of a mountain up here in Alaska, and I would just live out in the wild. When I was in Colorado, I went elk hunting every year.
One to two weeks, every year for 18 straight years, and I moved away. You know how many times I’ve been now? You think I love that? Oh, I loved it. I had me a four-wheel drive Jeep, you wouldn’t believe. It was a military Austin stamp. I got it from the owner of the Imperial Palace, Casino, out of Las Vegas. That Jeep had a Rolls-Royce motor in it, In the tourist and bar suspense of 1962, they used them in the desert over there fighting rummel in the Germans over there in Africa.
This thing was awesome. It was a little bit narrow and it had a great big old, that thing would climb mountains. It could go up and go around like this. But I loved it. I think some of y’all will see. we’ve all seen the picture, but you know, don’t get me so tried, try so easy. Reach the world, all nations. However, our commission is spiritual, not physical. We work through prayer and church body. It’s through the church body, the people that God has saved.
So we are trying to in a spiritual way, win people to the Lord spiritually and then train them in spiritual things, the things that’s gonna last for eternity. Because all of us in here, we could get all kinds of jobs. And you may get all kinds of jobs and God can use people everywhere doing any kind of jobs, but do it for the Lord. The wife that washes the dishes, I’m washing dishes for the Lord. I’m sweeping the house, I’m sweeping it, because whatsoever thy hands find it to do, do it all thy might.
But you do it for the Lord and you can sing whatever you’re doing. saying, be happy and joyful in the things of the Lord. And then when you can, you find a way. I got to have also, what am I doing for Jesus’ sake? What am I doing for the gospel sake? And these things are so important. Now, he started with 12 to 12, helped train 70 more. By Pentecost, the nucleus was 120. 3000 saved to Pentecost. 5000 in Acts chapter four.
And in Acts chapter 5, 14, multitudes turned the world upside down. They were moving on. And all these you heard the word. And they did this without TV, without radio, cell phones, airplanes, cars or fax machines, copy and use bookators. And they did all of that without all of that. Now we have all of that. And this is why we want to use all the technology that we can. There’s things that I have not yet figured out how to do.
I’ve got so many of these messages that we put up, and I think a lot of those messages are fairly good. Of course, I’m prejudiced. I preached them. I’d love to have somebody who didn’t have anything to do, don’t have to get paid for it, just sit by the hour and transcribe and put them in little booklets so we can have booklets that give out to people so they can sit and read them, wherever they go. They won’t always listen, but some people in nursing home, they can read, don’t have the high technology to go on through the computers or have cell phones, but little pamphlets.
Man, I can mail those out to many people as possible. So much that needs to be done, but it takes people, more people. Now in John chapter 15, this is so important. I want you to take your Bible and look in John chapter 15. John chapter 15, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, you and I are to bear fruit.
And he says here in verse one, I am the true vine and my Father is the husband. Every branch in me that bear if not fruit, he’d take it the way. And every branch that bear fruit, he purgeth, they can mean more fruit. So there’s no fruit, then there’s more fruit, there’s much fruit. And so he just keeps on to get a lot of fruit. God wants us to have a lot of fruit. Now look what he says in verse eight.
Verse 8, here in is my Father glorified, that you become rich in this world. Did I miss read that? Oh, that you bear much fruit, so shall you be my what? That’s not salvation. It’s because you are a disciple. Your learning crisis, follow me and I will make you a fisher of men. A fisher of men. Remember, God only had one Son and He was a missionary. Think about that. He had one Son and He was a missionary. Don’t knock missionaries.
Where do you think God might want you to go? I’ve heard of people going to the mission field when they’re 80 and 85, 90 years old. Of course, by then they had to pay their own way. By then they could. But now notice, you go down through here and it says in verse 9, as the Father have loved me, so have I loved you. Continue ye in my what? Continue in my love.” Then he also says in verse 10, if you keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my father’s command and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you and that your joy might be did you know there’s no greater joy than barren fruit? Try it. Remember that commercial that you saw always come on? Take that one little peek to that potato chip. Can’t eat just one. Gotta have another one. And that is true. I tried it one time. I could not eat just one. I had to get another one and then another one and another one, ate the whole bag.
But now look what he says in verse 12. This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you.” And then he says this down in verse 15, henceforth I call you not servants before the servants knoweth not what is the Lord doeth. But I have called you friends foretsk for all things that I have heard of my Father made note unto you. You have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordained you EVENTS you should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain.
Now, is that the Bible? That’s the Bible. I just read it to you. Jesus said it. So the mission is that we should go. Brain forth fruit, that’s evangelism. And discipleship that your fruit should remain because you want them to have their roots deep in the Word of God and teach them what the Word of God says, why should I do this? And this is why all this is so important. He established them in the Word of God, established them in the fellowship of believers and the structure of the church in the work of the ministry.
And understand this, participation in the communion service even this morning is a memory lesson. For discipleship. Because you see, when we have communion service this morning, this is something God has commanded us to do. It’s the Lord’s Supper. The Lord commands His children to come together and partake of the Supper. In other words, He got the bread and got the drink and we’re supposed to have a purpose for this. The source of your salvation. Do you realize that whenever you stop and think of it?
about this, it takes you back. Look at the word that I have down here. And I’ve preached this many times before, it’s not new. You’re supposed to look inside. You’re supposed to look on the outside. You’re supposed to look upward and backward and forward. You see, you look on the inside and examine yourself. Is there something in your life that’s keeping you from being the kind of disciple that you should be? What are you doing that has nothing to do with you being a good disciple?
then maybe you need to take a look at that and see whether or not, is that just to weigh this way in you down? What about the other part here? You should also look on the outside. Remember, there’s people that don’t know. Aren’t you glad? Think about, aren’t you glad that you have eternal life and know that you’re going to have an aren’t you guy to that? Well, don’t you think that other people who don’t know that would also like to know that?
And yet because we’re afraid we don’t want to offend them. We don’t talk to people about it. And you can go week after week after week after week and never share the gospel. Wouldn’t it be a shame? Also understand we’re supposed to look upward. What does God want? What does he want? We look backward to what he did and the Bible says we look forward to his coming again because the Lord’s coming again. So the communion service is a memory lesson for discipleship Because they keep us on the right track.
They keep us doing what we’re supposed to be doing. Then he says, do this in remembrance154 and as often as you do this, you do show forth the Lord’s death till He comes. So until the time we get to heaven, we’re supposed to show that we’re looking for the Lord. And if I’m looking for the Lord, I should be living like I’m looking for the Lord. Don’t you think? Now nobody can make a person trust Christ a savior. And then once you trust a Christ a savior, nobody can make you serve the Lord because it’s a personal thing.
It was you that decided to trust Christ a savior, it will be you that decides to serve the Lord or not. And to what degree? Some of God’s people will bear some fruit, some none, some more, some much. But it’s that hearing is my Father glorified that you bear much fruit. So how much fruit you bear depends upon you sowing the seed. And so it’s one thing to when people of Christ, it’s another thing to get a handful of people that will grow their roots deep within the Word of God.
Let me show you some. If you’re here this morning and you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, understand this. This is so important. This hand represents you and me. The wallet represents sin. Now we all have sin on us. Now God says He loves us. He hates our sin, but He loves us. And for us to pay for sin is eternal separation from the Lord. So that means the whole world is guilty. But God loves us. Wants us to go to heaven.
go to heaven we have to be perfect as righteous as God. See we can’t go with sin. God’s place is perfect. No sin allowed there. And sin is in us. It’s part of our nature. It’s the way we are. And because we’ve all sinned we’re all condemned and all have sinned and come short of God’s glory is short of God’s perfection. This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the or God in the flesh. He came into this world because He loves us.
Now He hates our sin because our sin separates us from the Lord. So what Christ did is He took all this sin, paid for it on the cross, came back from the dead. And He says the only thing He wanted us to do to go to heaven is believe that He did that for me. If I would believe He did that for me, He paid for my sins. I have a payment for my sins. Now the reason I know I’m going to heaven is because I know that I cannot, impostor, cannot go to hell.
Why? I don’t have any sins to pay for. He paid for all my sins. Christ died for my sins. Five most precious words in the Bible. So whenever you believe this, he puts this payment. This is why we sing this on wash wider than snow. Because you see he took all of your sins, paid for them. It’s as though I have never committed a sin. I’m going to heaven or what he did for me. I didn’t earn it. Don’t deserve that.
It’s by grace and grace alone. Best news I’ve heard. You see, he says when you believe it, that very moment, he gives to you as a free gift ever lasting life. And if it’s everlasting life, it would last forever. If it lasts forever and all you send your paid, where would you go when you die? To heaven. So can you know you’re going to heaven before you die? Well, of course, I know that I have eternal life. I do not have to serve the Lord to go to heaven.
I’m going to heaven because of what Christ did for me. As a child of God, thank God said, if I would serve him, he would bless me. And I can say after serving him for 56 and a half years, he kept his word. I couldn’t ask for anything more. God loves us so much. He did what he did. God so loved the world that he gave. He did what he did. And I wanted to be said that Yankee did what he did because he loved the Lord.
I don’t have to. But because of what he did for me, I want to serve them for the rest of my life. And I mean, I’d be much longer, but I would, whatever it is. I gave them all of my 20s and all of my 30s and all of my 40s and all of my 50s and all of my 60s and so on. Let’s pray, shall we? Our Father, we are thankful so much for your great love, where we are made trophies of your grace because of the payment you made on the cross for us, so that in the ages to come, we may demonstrate how wonderful, kind, and loving you are.
And we ask Father, Your blessings upon each one here. And Lord, there may be some that have never trusted Your Savior. And I pray that the gospel was clear and understandable. Maybe somebody that’s watching by YouTube, or we pray that they would understand and trust Your Savior and those that are watching by Internet. blessing Christ’s name. Amen. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior and you will trust the Lord. God said He would save you right now and give you right now eternal life as a free gift and it never casts you out and never loses you.
That’s how you can know that you’re going to heaven when you die. How many of you in here know positive you died right now you go to heaven? Let me see your hand. All right, but yeah. I may know you go to hell. No, no, no. A couple of you raised your hand on But if you’re watching my internet right on the screen says, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior. All you have to do is click it on.
If you ever have a question, anyway we can help you in any way. See all those men back there in those funny coats? They are there to help you.
