When I witness, do you know I actually expect If I make it clear and they’re reasonable, I just believe I’m gonna win them to the Lord. I just assume that if I made it clear, it should be easy for them to trust Christ as Savior. And I do believe that I lead them to the Lord that quick.

If they hear it, they understand, not make take me several minutes to explain it to them, but here’s what he said. You know, the scripture didn’t say. And if she’d have lost that one, she could have got two or three more. Who knows? I don’t know. But I don’t believe that Jesus took all that time to try to convince her how bad she was. And she had to, you know, promise to get rid of that man she was living with and confess all of her sins. You probably can’t remember them. And, you know, it takes time. So he had to go back and see her four or five times, right?

She heard it that one day and she was in the city telling everybody about it. They came out and heard him and believed immediately they believed. Now that contradicts what this fellow was saying, but this fellow here writes a lot of good articles at times and they publish them. He’s a well-known individual. I’m not going to tell you who he is though. Maybe later. He says this. He says, How many Christian testimonies had Paul’s silence before he yielded to their message?

How much bondage had the Philippian jailer experience before he asked what must I do to be saved? Well, as far as I know, he might never even heard it until Paul and Silas were singing amazing grace that night in jail cell and It doesn’t say that’s reading into something that’s not there But it’s also letting you know that you don’t just go out of here and win people the Lord It’s a long draw not process. You know here a little and there a little So he says a soul’s conversion is a journey from one to a hundred Each step is linked to the next and no motion is wasted it goes something like this.

I Am so glad he explained it But I do see a little deviousness in this. Deception in here. Somebody has influenced the man’s thinking and I know it wasn’t God and it wasn’t the Word of God. He says a man invited to church. Here’s the gospel for the first time. That steps 1 to 6. He hears a friend’s Testimonium at steps 11-14. Curiosity causes him to read from God’s word. That’s 19 to 27. A co-worker shares the love of Christ, 30 to 36.

A Christian concert takes him from 41 to 45. He tunes into here teaching on Christian radio 47 to 54. He’s back in church with an open mind, 58 to 70. He asked a friend about your message, 70 to 74. More Christian radio on a sleepless night. 7, 871. Someone walks him through the plan of salvation, 84 to 90. He observes Christ’s lightness in a friend, 93 to 98. He prays a prayer of faith and repentance 99 to 100. Finally got in there.

See it wasn’t all at once. It’s a process, evidently when somebody explained the gospel to the friend, someone walks him through the of salvation, he’s showing he gets saved two more times later. I think you can eliminate all of that, just witness to people. And if it makes sense and they believe it, they can trust Christ as their Savior. I guess some people just want to make it hard. I’ve had people say, you just make it too easy. Well, what right do I have to make it hard?

I says, What’s that? Is that a pin? No, no, no, that was too easy. Believe hard. How do you believe hard? Well, this is not a pin. This is a baby grand piano. Now would that be hard to believe? See how hard that would Canadia believe? You see, are we supposed to go over the world and make the gospel hard to believe or easy to believe? If you just tell them the truth. The truth ought to be something that when you hear it and you believe it, you can have eternal life.

So I don’t agree with most of these preachers. And he writes articles for all the preachers and sends it out. And he sends it out through Faithtaught Radio, which comes out of a national thing. They got over 100 stations. And this goes to all the preachers throughout the country and telling them this is how you do it. No, it’s not how you do it. So, therefore, I think we would have a little of a problem. All right. I want you to write a couple things down.

You need to write this down. When we take the Bible, for example, there are two books in the Bible that Satan really hates. One is the book of Genesis. The other one is the book of Revelation. The book of Genesis because his doom is prophesied. Genesis predicts the doom of the devil. Revelation is his execution. Satan does not like either one of those books. And you’ll also notice that in the book of Genesis, the devil is not mentioned in the first two chapters and in the book of Revelation he’s not mentioned in the last two chapters but as the devil mentioned in all those other places in between all over and you read that and see that.

Liberal theologians and a lot of them say that the book of Genesis well that’s a myth the book of revelation? Well, that’s a mystery. So both of them you can’t believe because one’s a myth and one’s a mystery and you can’t understand it anyway. You know the book of Revelation is too hard and complex. You can’t understand that. Satan will fight those two books because it’s the beginning and it’s the ending. When Jesus comes along and he says, I am Alpha and Omega means I am the beginning and the and I am the first and I am the last.

We talk about Satan in the book of Genesis, you see his deceit, how deceitful he is. And in the book of Revelation, we also see the defeat of the devil. So the devil is going to be defeated. He’s already been defeated at the cross. It’s just like a flower plant and you cut that flower it is cut from the source of life when it separated it’s dead but it still looks alive but it’s dead because it’s cut from the source of life and you and I We are spiritually dead.

We are cut off from the source of life. We have a physical body that’s going to die. So I wrote three little things down. I wanted you to put down. Satan wants to separate you from your body. That would be physical death. He wants you dead. He wants you dead. You ought to be so thankful to the Lord for every day you live, every breath you breathe, because we live only by the grace of God. When we were born into this world, we were spiritually dead, and the devil wants to keep you spiritually dead, means you’re spiritually, you’re separated from God.

So the devil wants you to stay separated from God, that’s the spiritual death that we have. and he wants you to be physically dead. And you also know that there’s a what we call being separated from God for all eternity. Satan wants you to be separated from God for all eternity. The devil is busy. When you know understand his plan and what he does, what he likes, don’t like, and it’s not you and me that he likes. You see, he hates God and God loves us.

So in order to hurt God, the devil wants to get you to turn against God. And when you get mad and bitter and hateful to others or toward God, the devil is using you and he is succeeding. Because you’re turning against the very one who loves you more than anything else in the world. Don’t listen to the devil. Remember, he cannot read your mind, but he can interject thoughts into your mind. All this is so important. So Satan has a contract out on your life.

Write this little statement down. Satan is the world’s best liar. He’s a world’s best liar. And look in Revelation chapter 12, Revelation and chapter 12, He is the world’s best liar. And notice what He says you’re in verse 9, verse 9 and verse 10. Look at the power that the devil has. Verse 9 says, and the old great dragon was cast out that old serpent. He’s not new, He’s an old serpent. Call the devil and Satan. Now the other part of this verse you need to underline these words because you need to know what description God gives of this bird which deceiveth the whole world.

He must be a pretty good liar. Now there’s a lot of people I’ve met in life and some of them are some mighty good liars, but the greatest liar is the devil himself. He is called the lie. He is the liar, and he lies. Now the Lord is the truth. Jesus says, I am the way the truth and the life. He says, sanctify them through thy word, thy word is truth. So in life, it’s not so much trying to decide between what’s right and wrong or good and bad.

It’s truth and lie. You see, if people knew the truth, knowing the truth, you can discern anything you don’t come up to it if you know the truth. And so you don’t have to believe the lie because that’s where you get into what’s good and bad can be relative based upon the situation or who you’re talking truth. Truth doesn’t change regardless of who you may be. Truth is truth. And so learn the truth. Where are you going to find the truth that you and I suppose to know?

Right in God’s Word. You see why it’s so hard to get even young Christian people to come to Bible college and study the Word of God? They ought to flock to the place that teaches the Word of God so they can learn it. because nothing else will matter if you go out and you live a lie. Your whole life can be a lie, but you’ll be deceived. You will not know it. You cannot discern it. So you studied the Word of God.

Now hold your place right here. I want you to look there in the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 2. 1 Corinthians chapter 2. First Corinthians chapter 2, look what he says. In verse 9 says, I have not seen ear hath not heard and neither has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit. Yea the Spirit searcheth all things ye the deep things of God.

For no man knoweth the things of God save the spirit of man which is within him. But what about the things of God? So if you had the Holy Spirit of God dwelled within you, then you could know the things about God. And that’s what he says here in verse 12. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God. That we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

So the Holy Spirit living within you is for a reason. He is to illuminate your mind. You see up here in verse 10, hath revealed them, there is the revelation of God, what God reveals. And then in verse 12, there is the illumination, this is how God causes you to discern, to be able to see. And then down in verse 13, which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things by spiritual means.

What’s spiritual mean? This is inspiration. So you’ve got revelation, you’ve got illumination, and you’ve got inspiration. You’ve got what you and I need to discern the wiles of the devil. And if you don’t know this, you cannot see and understand the spiritual world, the spirit world even. And so this is why God wants us to study the word. So why do you think the devil works so hard to keep people from going to Bible college? Bible college is nothing more than studying God’s word.

Now what’s wrong with that? Nothing. This is why this is so important, but not notice what he says in verse 14. But the natural man, the man that does not have the Holy Spirit and dwelling him, he says, receive if not the things of the Spirit of God. He can’t discern them because these things of God are spiritually discerned. And the lost man who doesn’t have the Holy Spirit cannot discern right from wrong. That’s why you studied the word of God.

that’s in Hebrews in chapter five also. So these things are so important. The other thing I wanted you to write down was, Satan is the biggest liar. Not only the best liar, he’s a big liar. Do you realize how many people he has caused to believe his lie? You think about it and we covered it this morning in the book of Matthew in chapter seven. The road to destruction is broad, wide, many there be, many. Inside, many there be.

Look how… Look how many people are deceived. The false prophets have a false message. They work for the devil. And think of how many people are deceived. Look at this world today. Do you think we have gained and we have more believers now who know the Lord and love the Lord and live in a godly life than we ever have in history? We’ve only had 2,000 years, how we do it? Oh, we went in there losing, you think. It doesn’t look good.

It doesn’t look good. I want you to write this down. The devil. Discredited God’s provision. The devil will discredit God’s total provision. In other words, regardless of how much God gives to you, regardless of how much he does for you. You’re going to find fault for something he didn’t do for you. Something he didn’t provide. Lowers, you ask God for something, you pray for whatever, and he didn’t do it according to your timetable, and it doesn’t matter how much you have been blessed.

It’s because you’ll find one little thing that you can find in air with God. God let me down. God failed me, and you don’t trust him. Where do you think this not trusting God comes from? The devil will do whatever he possibly can to discredit. Remember back there in the garden? It didn’t matter how many trees, how much fruit they could eat. It was because he withheld one tree from them. He didn’t give total provision. He provided but you can’t touch that one.

Well that’s the one I want and he won’t let you have it. He won’t let me have my own way. Okay. So Satan, discredits God’s total provision. I’ll also write this down. The devil, discredits God’s lawful punishment. He discredits God’s lawful punishment. In other words, even in the garden thou shalt not surely die. What does that say? He’s discrediting the punishment for the sin. Do you think it’s possible that some Christians believe that they can sin against God and get away with it.

It really won’t matter. I mean just a little bit and you can tolerate a little bit. I mean after all God knows I’m not perfect. And so you can do a little bit of sin and get away with it. And you think that it’s not gonna matter. And so he calls you to do to discredit the punishment of God, the chasting hand of God. I want you to be convinced if you serve God God said I will bless you and if you don’t God said I’m going to chase in you believe that for the rest of your life.

Because if you don’t and Satan gets you to say well it’s not that bad it’s not that bad. Do you think Adam and Eve knew how bad it was going to be when they took that little little fruit? Well it ain’t going to be that bad it’s just one little apple or maybe it was a banana because it had appeal. Well whatever it was, you know, it’s not that big of a deal. I mean why would God get that upset and you’ll find out there’s a heavenly Father that’ll chase and discipline you.

Also write this thing now. Satan distorts God’s love and God’s purpose. He’ll distort God’s love and God’s purpose for you life. You see this whole thing about us living in this world after we have trusted Christ’s Savior. We know that God loves us because He sent His Son to down the cross pay for our sins and we have eternal life. But since then you see living in this world is our opportunity to show that regardless of what the world has to offer, I love God more.

So all the trials and testings and tribulations that we go through, what do you love the most? If you love God more than things and circumstances, it doesn’t matter. That’s what God wants. And He wants to bless you because He says, if you love me, serve me, if you love me. I believe that God wants us to love him. He showed us how much he loved us and he did something for us. Now he says, if you love me, keep my word.

And so the devil will do whatever he can to cause you to question the love of God. Because see, if God is so great and so big, so powerful and he’s supposed to be God on the throne and he can control, why did he let that happened to me. Why did he let that happen to me? Why did he take my son? Why did they take your daughter? What do I have cancer? What do I have this problem? And you name it and God could have kept all that from happening.

So God, what caused you to question the love of God? Don’t let the devil have victory in your life. Don’t you question and doubt God. God has not changed. God is love and he wants the most. He wants the best for you. Then I had one other thing I want you to write down. Number one, Satan has all power to deceive. Satan has all the power to deceive and he knows how to use that power and he is busy trying to deceive.

The next statement is the Lord has all power to discern. You are the one to choose. You can choose to study God’s word and be able to discern the snares, the traps, the deceits of the devil. Or you can permit yourself to be deceived. Satan has all power to deceive. God has all power to give you discernment through his word. Study it of the word of God is all the knowledge you need to discern the tricks of the devil.

He did not leave you with one thing that’s not in this book that Satan can have an advantage over you. You don’t have to lose. You don’t have to fall. You don’t have to quit. But you’re the one that makes that choice. It isn’t wonderful that salvation is free, it’s the gift of God, whosoever believe it is a choice. And your life is a choice. You’re always choosing, making decisions. You’re discerning right from wrong based upon what the word of God says.

So it’s not based upon what somebody else says. It’s not relative based upon, you know, well, what does society say? Well, let’s take an opinion poll and we’ll see what right is and what’s not right. No, we go, what does the word of God say? God says it’s right or God says it’s wrong. This is truth. This is truth and truth doesn’t change. That’s what gives us the stability that we need. Look up here. And if you’re watching my internet, glad to have you with us.

Letting this hand represent you and me, the wallet represents sin. We all have sin on us. The Bible says that God loves us but he hates our sin. He loves us but he hates our sin. And the sin, the Bible says, has to be paid. The wages of sin is death. We do this, we have to pay for it. And that payment is eternal. So from God. Satan does not want a person to hear how to solve the problem.

They want to keep the loss blinded. Second Corinthians in chapter 4. The God of this world had blinded the mind of them that believed the light of the glorious gospel should shine unto them, because that’s their only hope. So God says to pay for this sin is eternal separation from God. He loves us, wants us to go to heaven and to go to heaven. We have to be perfect as righteous as God. And none of us are. We have all sin.

They come short of God’s perfection. You cannot save yourself. This sin represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. He came into the world because He loves us. He hates our sin because our sin separates us from him. So Jesus tries who had no sin didn’t have to die, but because He loved us, He took all of our sin and paid our sin dead. He made a payment in full, came back from the dead. He says, now, all you have to do is believe that I did that for you, and when you believe it, I’ll put this payment to your account.

You go to heaven on what Christ did for you. You see, Christ took our sins and He has His righteousness. You see, we need to be as righteous as God. So when I believe this, He gives me His righteousness and I go to heaven on His righteousness. Now, when God sees me, He sees the righteousness of Christ. I’m going to heaven on what He did for me. And that’s the best news in all the world. Let’s pray, shall we?

We head about nice clothes and no one looking around. I know that most of you here have trusted Christ as your Savior. But you know, there’s sometimes maybe somebody has been here for a long time and never really understood. But if you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, wouldn’t it make be a big mistake to let the devil trick your mind and deceive you? Are you really saved? Are you sure you’re going to heaven when you’re dying? Have you really trusted Christ as your Savior?

If you haven’t, would you trust Him right now? If you trust Him right now, immediately, that very moment God saves you. It’s just that easy. All you have to do is toWikipedia that what he did, he did it for you. He loves you that much. And so in just a moment ofnil my ask for a raise a hand. Raise your hand doesn’t save you. Just let me know that what I said made sense to you. Say, preach it, pray for me.

I will trust Christ as my Savior right now. I want to know that I’m going to heaven when I die. Is there any will all before we close? Just slip your hand up very quickly for a revoir down.
