If Calvinism is true, show where God displayed His love, his love, compassion, justice, righteousness to the man that was born for condemnation. How can God justify his actions? Because God is going to be judged and God must be just when he is judging. In other words, he has to be right. No one can be able to place a blame on God. nobody. And if they go to hell, it has to be just. Where would the justice be when they had absolutely no chance, no choice, and just created to be thrown into a literal fire burning hell for all eternity?

I would have a problem with that. I believe believers would and so with the unbelievers. So the next statement I have here is, how could a holy, just righteous, compassionate, and loving God ever justify His action to the believer and to the unbeliever? If evolution is true, there can be no justification for God’s action. Calvinism strikes at the very heart of God’s character. Calvinism corrupts man’s view of God. Now, omniscience and omnipotence and omnipresence we covered that Sunday night.

But I want you to take your Bible in turn with me to the book of 1 Timothy chapter 6. 1 Timothy in chapter 6. When we talk about the word immutable means God doesn’t change. God doesn’t change. He is absolutely the same yesterday, today, and forever. And for this reason the attributes he possessed before the creation of the world are the same ones he has today. So in 1st Timothy chapter 6 in verse 15, as it refers to the Lord, which in his times he shall show who is the blessed and only potentate.

That word means sovereign. He is superior sovereign. There is absolutely no one over God that is proven in the very first verse in the Bible, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And there’s nobody to say he couldn’t do it, wouldn’t do it, not able to do it, he did it. There was nobody for God to answer to. He did not ask us to come into his chamber for counseling so that we could advise him on how to do the job or if he should do the job.

But look in verse 16, who only hath immortality. Now what does immortality mean? What is it to be mortal? Dan over here is a mortal individual. It means he is subject to death. It means he’s liable to die on us at any moment now. But he is subject to death. He does not have immortality. God is only immortal. Means God is not subject to death. Which means that if there is a God, He has to always stay God. Always be God, and he cannot change into something else.

There is no sin for him to confess. He makes no mistakes. He does everything right the first time. He is God. Now, there’s a verse that we have here, Psalms 90 and verse 2 says, before the mountains were brought forth, or ever, thou have formed the earth and the world, even from earth. everlasting to everlasting thou art God. If he was God from the beginning would he be God today? And if he’s God today will he be God tomorrow?

God will always be God. He is immortal. You and I, But one of these days, God is going to have this mortal put on immortality where we will not be subject to death. God never has to be put on immortality. He is. That’s what He is. The other verse here in Malachi 3, 6, for I am the Lord. In those three little words, I change not. The next word we have done here is the word holy. we know and believe that God is holy because of his righteousness.

God, see, can only reveal his holiness to us by his righteousness. The righteous things that he does, his judgments that he does. God has to be right. So he is a holy God. That’s why he could give the holy law, and this is why we call this the holy Bible, and the the Holy Spirit is not the unholy spirit, the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit. Though all the attributes of God are important and dependent upon one another, the fact of God’s holiness seems to be the one He wishes us to put emphasis upon.

When God revealed Himself to man, each encounter mentions His holiness, Isaiah called God the Holy One more than 30 times, the Holy One. He must be holy. In the scriptures, it says, exalt the Lord our God and worship at His holy hymn. For the Lord our God is holy. That’s descriptive. This is one of the attributes of His character, of what He is like. Thou art of pure eyes, then do be whole evil, and kest not look on iniquity.

Therefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously and holistide tongue when the wicked devours the man that is more righteous than he. Now this is Habakkah, I had a serious problem. He says, now Lord, we know Israel, we know we’re bad. I mean, we’re really bad. And we’re sick, yes, from the foot to the head. We’re corrupt and we’re no good. That’s the way we are as a nation. And Lord, I know that you’re going to judge us. This is in the book of Habakkah.

But he says, the one that you’re going to use to whoop us with, they’re worse than us. How can you be righteous by taking a nation that’s worse than us and whooping us with them? Because God knows that he gonna whoop them with somebody else. But can God make a bad decision? Now when you understand the character of God you’ll know that God cannot and will not do you wrong. You see part of our misery sometimes is living with the idea that God doesn’t love us enough to see us through.

Love us enough to meet any. It’s like when a lost man knows he needs to He knows that Jesus is necessary, but He doesn’t believe Jesus is enough. And so the devil can use anything that’s against the character of God to get you to question the provision of God. And so the more you know about God and the way He really is will bring peace of mind to your soul. Remember, a little fait takes the soul to heaven, but a great fait brings peace to the soul.

you want that peace. Look at the next statement, righteous. And this is where I was just a moment ago in the book of Romans in chapter 3. God’s holiness is manifested in His righteousness because He is holy, He is righteous. This attribute of righteousness is the way His holiness is expressed when dealing with men. When God deals with us, you must believe that God will do you right. When God has to chase in you, if He has to chase in you, it must be right, right?

If God wants to bless you, it will be right because God doesn’t sin. God doesn’t make mistakes. God is a perfect God. Now, He will give us His Word and tell us there’s things that He wants us to do, and then He will either bless us or chasten us based upon our response to the Word of God. So the results of our disobedience sometimes rest with the Lord, but whatever it is, God is righteous. He makes no mistakes. Now the next statement, many verses declare His righteousness, and don’t have time to look at all of them, so I just put down a couple of them.

Gracious is the Lord and righteous. Yay, our God is merciful. Now If the lost man born into this world has no options, not given a chance, and he’s unloved and he’s unwanted, what was he necessary for just God to use him and then punish him for eternity? Well that given him an opportunity to be saved and you’re judging your mind whether or not does that sound like the God we read about? That’s a God of compassion, a God of you know love, God of mercy.

But look what he says here. Oh Lord God of Israel, thou art righteous, for we remain yet escaped as it is this day. Behold we are before the in our trespasses, for we cannot stand before thee because of this. See when Israel sinned against the Lord. When they went into captivity and when they came back and many of the men wound up marrying people and bringing them back and some of them had several wives and they were of different nations.

Do you know what he told them to do? He could get rid of them. But there’s things that God says that are right, but God does sow mercy. But there can’t be any mercy unless there is judgment there is going to be a penalty and God, being God, can demonstrate, like Romans chapter 5 and verse 8, talking about the love of God is manifested. And if while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, that’s love. The Lord is righteous, He has cut us under the cords of the wicked.

Now, sovereign, we already said a little bit about the word sovereign. But here’s a statement that I got from Florida Bible College years and years ago. And Dr. Mark Cameron always says, God in his sovereignty chose to give man a free will. Though God in his sovereignty means that God is powerful, God can do whatever God wants to do. But God has limited himself in certain areas and God is free to do that. Because whatever he does, he’s still God.

But he says this, this is what makes him free to do what he knows is best for us. Though he is in complete control, he has also given us a free will to obey or reject his leading. The first verse of the Bible says that God does what he chooses to do. Who could he ask about creating the heavens and the earth, probably just the fowl of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Let us make men an hour image, might be something there.

The first verse of the Bible says that, the entire first chapter shows God’s authority and sovereignty over his creation because God determined to make light and he made the earth, he made grass, he made He made the fruit yielding trees and the bare fruit after their own kind and all the animals and the sun, the stars, the moon, and you name it, God made everything. He didn’t ask anybody for permission and he could do it and there was nobody that could stop him.

There was nobody over God. When you read the book of Isaiah in chapter 43 through chapter 48, you’ll be surprised how many times when God said, I only am God. There’s no other God beside me. Who will you make me equal to?” And so on. A lot of good verses. But the Bible is full of passages that show God leading or commanding people to do certain things. Man’s freedom of choice justifies God’s choice of results. So God is not weak.

He has chosen to do what he has done, to allow us to make decisions, and then he has chosen that he can do what he does based upon our decision. That doesn’t mean God is in air just because we choose to rebel. And if we don’t do what God says do, or then God still can do what he does, and God still can be in charge, or in control. The next statement is one that everybody likes. This is one that we all love.

But did you know then all of these things, these attributes, when God said He will make man in His own image? I believe some of these attributes of God if they had not been ruined by sin. We also want, we’ve been given the authority to rule. And in our homes, we have a sovereign right that God has given to us. We can have a wife and we have children, and God wants us to love, and God wants us to show mercy.

God wants us to be just in what we do. And all of these things, it’s the descriptive of God, is supposed to be in a way, a little descriptive of ourselves. But we would show mercy and compassion, forgiveness. All these things are things God wants us to do, but love is the one that really stands out because if there’s anything everybody wants is love. And the law is fulfilled in one word. That one word is love. Because see, if God loves me, then God has to do right by me.

If God loves me, he’ll show compassion. If God loves me, he’ll be merciful. If God loves me, he can forgive me. If God loved me. It’s all a burden that can God love me. Sometimes the problem that we have between husband and wife is not all the things that they do. Those are just, well, You know, when you have a problem here, you think the root problem is right underneath it. No, it’s probably way over here and it just manifests itself over here.

Sometimes the seed problem is over here and it goes over and comes up, ta-da! And you think, well, that’s where it is known as something else that’s bothering them. It’s not always what you’re seeing thing. But if everybody loved each other the way they should, you’d eliminate most of your problem. Why? Because love covers a multitude of… but when you don’t love the way you want to or should, then you manifest the sin. You elaborate on the sin. You share the sin.

And we talk about all the things that other people do that’s wrong, but love, because you love, you bend over backwards. You wanna help a person to, you know, if they fall in the mud, you don’t put your foot on the back of their head and hold them there. I’m going to do that. I’m going to get it for you. Some people say, I’m going to get it. This is going to be like this. Say that. That’s what happens.

The This is one attribute that people love to embrace. God is not like the deities of other religions who are thought of as angry and hateful. There are several things that are mentioned here in this last statement here. God is very loving toward his creatures. First John Ford tells us that God has love, that he is love, but also what is love. So what is love? And I think a lot of time teenagers when they’re growing up, they think that’s that infatuation they have, you know, that they call love puppy love, just, you know, it’s real to the puppy.

But, you know, puppy love can lead to a dog’s life. I had a dog one time, didn’t have any every night, took him out for a drag. You know what the dog said? Rough. But anyway, take your Bible and just look at this real quick. Look in 1 John, chapter 4. First John, chapter 4 is a great chapter in the Bible telling you who is love, where it came from. what God wants us to do. And not only does he have love, he is love.

And he wants to manifest that love. But look in verse 7, Beloved, let us love, love one another. For love is of God. And everyone that loveth is born of God and knoweth God. And he that loveth not knoweth not God. For God is love. He’s not just, he has it, He is love and this was manifested the love of God toward us Because that God sent his only begotten son into the world that we might live through him See this is what God wants.

He wants us to live Eternally with him So God wants us to be with him But how come God wouldn’t love all of us? You see if Calvinism is true This just bothers me more than anything else worth to think that God could love me But he can’t love you. What makes me special over somebody else? And if he can show compassion to me, he can show compassion to anybody. I’m just thankful that somebody loved me enough, explained the gospel to me so I could hear and understand and trust Christ.

I must say, because God is willing to save anybody that will believe. Herein, in verse 10, herein is love. Not that we love God. See, we’re not going to heaven because we love God. We’re going to be because he loved us. But that he loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation of the pain. to satisfaction for our sins. Verse 11, beloved if God so loved us, we are also to love one another. No man have seen God at any time.

If we love one another, God dwelleth in us and his love is perfected in us. Here by no way that we dwell in him and he and us because we have given the first spirit. So you go down through here and you’ll see down in verse 16 and 17 so on. Love, love, love, love, love. That’s one of the attributes. Now I think a great harm is done for giving people even the idea that you know some of y’all God doesn’t love and God doesn’t want you and God did not choose to save you and you’re going to hell and I hope you understand but I want you to love God.

It doesn’t make any sense. It’s a wicked teaching, the teaching of Calvinism. You’d ask the question, where in the world is mercy shown to the non-elect? Where is mercy and compassion shown to the non-elect? The one that God didn’t choose, the one that he wouldn’t save him if they wanted to be saved, he said, well, they won’t want to be saved. I’ve talked to people that want to be saved, not talk to people who didn’t want to be saved, but I try to explain to God what they did.

I want to eat this to the Lord. Agnostics to the Lord. Look at the next statement. Of course, when you want a good verse, John 3 16 is probably one of the best it could use. But they say when you quote John 3 16, for God so loved the world, that’s the elect doing God chose. When I see that, and you could probably ask any five or six or seven, 19 year old child, what do you think that means?

God so loved the world. Oh, that would be the only thing you liked. You think they would think that, I mean, include them. They included them. You know what I love doing? And I’ve done this over the years. I take a little child and I’ve done this in the Christian school and I put them on me and we had the kids sitting there and I was singing that little song. Jesus loves the little ones like me. Jesus loves the little ones like me.

Little ones like me sat upon his knee. Jesus loves the little ones like me, me, me. And he literally got me. And Jesus loves the little ones like you. Jesus loves the little ones like you. Little ones like you. Jesus loves you too. Jesus loves the little ones like you, you, you. And kids can understand, you think the kids can believe that God loves them? Wouldn’t it be a shame to tell them, he doesn’t love all of you? And so natural thing is because I must be bad.

No, God loves all of them. And God have mercy upon those people who have distorted the character of God and the minds of people that just don’t get it, understand. Anyway, down at the bottom, God’s mercy has been defined of God not given us what we deserve. We as sinners deserve eternal punishment away from His presence, yet in His mercy has chosen to offer us a way for salvation. And all of this, God’s mercy is shown for everybody by making a payment for the sins of the whole world and offers us eternal life as a free gift to whosoever believe.

but God commended His love toward us and that while we were yet saints, while we were yet the elect Christ died for us. Since there were just sinners. Well, if everybody’s the senator, wouldn’t that include them? The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plantius in mercy, but not enough because He didn’t have enough mercy to go around. He ran out of grace. I believe that however great our sins are, grace is greater than our sins. Look up here just for a brief moment.

This hand represents you and me and the wallet represents sin. We all have sin upon us. God loves us. And that includes everybody in the world. Buddy hates our sin. All have sin. We’re all the same in God’s eyes. For all have sinicom, short of the glory of God. The wages is eternal separation from God. So all those who have sinned are all condemned. We’re all in the same boat. But to go to heaven we have to be perfect as righteous as God.

and we’re not. And so the Bible says we cannot save ourselves by our work. We’re totally incapable, but we’re not at the place where we’re so depraved we cannot understand our condition. We can know that we’re sinners. Doesn’t a lost man know he sends? Doesn’t a lost man know he’s gonna die? Doesn’t a lost man know he needs to be righteous and he’s not? Doesn’t the lost men already know that there is a God? He just doesn’t know his name, doesn’t know what he did for him.

This hand represents Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. He came into the world because he loves us, hates our sin because it separates us from him. So Jesus Christ, who had no sin, didn’t have to die. So he took all the sin of all the world, paid for it on the cross, came back from the dead, said, Who so ever believeth can have eternal life? God would put that payment down on account and we get to go to heaven.

Oh, Christ did for us. Best news and all the world. Let’s pray. It has bow nice clothes. No one looking around. And if you’re watching by internet tonight, I want to say thank you so much for those that do watch and for especially writing a letter such as we received. We really appreciate that. And we do want to pray for those that watch by internet and maybe never even say a word to us, we’ll never know. But right on the screen it says, yes I’ll trust Christ as my Savior if you have never done so why not do it right now?

I’d love to know it, I’d love to hear from you. But if you’re hearing the auditorium and you never trust the Christ as your Savior would you trust Him right now? In your own mind Lord I know Him a sinner, I believe Christ died, paid for my sins and I will trust Him right now as my Savior. And if you’ll do that just that much God said He would save you and give eternal life. You You can know that you’re going to heaven whenever you die.

Is there anyone at all before we close? We’ll just slip you in a very quickly, put her back down. If you’ve already trust the Lord, you never have to do it again. Our Father, we are thankful for loving us. And we really believe that you do. For paying for our sins, and I mean, you paid for the sins of the whole world. We believe that. And we believe that you have made an offer to whosoever, to everybody. They’ll believe that you did that for them, that you would give them eternal life as a free gift.

And Father, we thank you so much for the gospel. This good news, this wonderful news. We pray that we’ll do all that we can to reach as many as we possibly can. Thank you for the workers in this ministry, for the college kids that will be here. For all the things that needs to be done, for your people, we want your blessings. In Christ’s name we pray.
