Years ago, I put a little booklet together call why we cannot believe in evolution. But I got opportunities to speak in high schools. And I was always talking about creation and evolution. So many of the things that I want to say today has to deal with this very subject. We have people today that go to colleges and universities and they have faith-breaker courses where they delight in breaking your faith. and they teach humanism, evolution. It’s permeated our public schools also.

Creation or evolution is one way or the other. Both are not right. We do not believe that God created by the process of evolution. But the world is here, you’re here, I’m here. So we either had to be created or we’ve always existed or we came into existence by some unknown cause. And so that’s what I want to talk to you about a little bit this morning. The Bible says that the world that then was in the book of Peter talking about how that God created the world since the day of creation.

And then in the book of Romans in chapter 1 it talks about the creation. And so we have the creation that God has made. And so we need to look at concerning the origin of our universe. Now I got a lot of room to cover, a lot of material. So I want you to just kind of fashion your seat belt, just kind of hold on a little bit and see if we can get through this. When we study the Bible, there are those who want to attack the very first book in the Bible, the book of Genesis, because if they can destroy that book in the minds of God’s people, and it’s the foundation upon which everything else is built.

When it says in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. It doesn’t get into a big explanation. It’s assumed that you understand that there’s evidence, there’s a God, and the evidence is the heavens and the earth, that which God has made. So anyway, you’ve heard this phrase before, to be or not to be. That is a good question. To be or not to be. We are here. How did we come to be? Well there’s different opinions on this.

You see, where did space, time, matter, energy? All these are four things that has to be for you and how to be here. So where did it come from? Well, if you’re turning your Bible to the book of Psalms 33, Psalms 33, Psalms 33, will give you a little of a clue not only what he did, but why? Psalms 33. And look there in verse 6, and notice what he says here, by the word of the Lord, where the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Now he said he did it. You prove he didn’t. We ought to at least listen to what he says before we dismiss it as not possible. So man, because They don’t want to believe in a creator. They have to have another way of coming into existence. So man, human, has a humanistic thought. So he wants to teach his religion, his belief about what he thinks. So it’s not Christians who have a religious belief. Everyone has a religious belief. They’re just happens to be atheistic, but it’s a religion.

Now get this, the next statement. In verse seven, he gathered the waters of the sea together. As a heap, he layeth up the depths in store housing, let all the earth fear the Lord, let all the inhabitants of the world get this, stand in awe of him. For he spake and it was done, he commanded and it stood still. Now this is what God said that he did. So there is this view, the view that God did it. So according to this verse, by the word of the Lord, were the heavens made, and all the hosts of them by the breath of his mouth, how did God bring the universe into existence?

And you’ll find this phrase mentioned over and over again, so we always like to make sure you understand. He spoke it into existence out of nothing. So before you think, well, that sounds illogical. doesn’t sound very scientific. Well, we’ll take a look at it and when we get through then you draw your conclusion. Because this is an important issue. Whether or not, if this is true, then this Bible is true and it should affect my whole life. But if it’s not true, then we ought to take it and throw it in the trash can and go do whatever we wanna do.

And eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we diet. For he spake, and it was done. He commended and it stood fast. How did God bring the universe into existence? He spoke it into existence out of nothing. Now take your Bible and turn to the book of Hebrews in chapter 11. Hebrews, chapter 11. Hebrews and chapter 11. And look there in verse 3. Verse 3 says, through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Now according to that verse, through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God. God spoke the Word and made the worlds. we understand if we take God at His Word. Faith is believing that what God said is true. So faith we can understand how it came to be. Now do away with God and you will not understand how it came to be. But before we discard what God has to say, we ought at least listen to the Word of God.

So how did God bring the universe into existence? Well, He spoke it into existence out of nothing. This is what the Bible says over and over and over again. So that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. You and I cannot see God. He is a spirit. He said, no men has ever seen God. So everything you see was created made by something that you cannot see. Why did God bring the universe into existence?

Get this verse. This from the Psalms there. Let all the earth fear the Lord. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. Now without the world and without you, you wouldn’t even know there was a God. You wouldn’t know how great God is. God created us. He wants us to stand in awe of Him. Look what He hath done. This is an incredible world. Look in the mirror. Just look at yourself and see how incredible, well maybe not, but look how incredible you’re supposed to be.

Just the body itself, the world itself. Now God spoke everything into existence from nothing. So there is a divine view, a biblical view, a view that we have of the universe that comes from the Bible. That’s a divine view. But there’s also a humanistic view. So however, not everyone accepts God’s explanation for the creation of this world. So you have the humanist view, that’s man’s philosophy, versus the truth of what the word of God has to say. They are not on the same page.

They do not believe the same way. So we’re going to take a look at the humanist view and the biblical view so that you can make an intelligent decision. Now you know with the humanist view, and if you listen to some of their talking points of various colleges and universities and their literature, they all come out now with a big bang. It’s a big bang theory. A big explosion created everything from nothing. That’s what they say. But I got a few problems with this.

The humanist manifesto, I had a copy of this and I put it in a book that I’d done back in 1982 on the humanist religion. And it was in a little book that I did on the Republican philosophy of a Christian American education when I was running for Kennedy out there in Colorado. but they have their own beliefs. And this is religious as anything you and I would believe. This is what it says. It includes all existing matter and space considered as the cosmos.

The universe is believed to be at least 10 billion light-years in diameter and contains a vast number of galaxies. It has been expanding since its creation in the Big Bang about 13 billion years ago. Of course, all this is documented. Of course, they have the evidence to prove all of this, right? They have no evidence. That’s why they used to call it the theory, the theory of evolution. Well, that means it’s a hypothetical guess so they don’t like that.

Now it’s a fact. Why? Because they said it was and you’re supposed to believe it is a fact. It is not a fact. So where does space matter? Energy. Where did it all come from? Evolution has two proposals. One, it created itself. Two, it’s always existed. There’s problem solved. Now you move on. Because the world is here. Did you do it? I didn’t do it. But now they have rejected the second one that it’s always existed because of the second law of thermodynamics.

If it’s always existed, the world would have destroyed itself billions of years ago. It shouldn’t even be here. If if it’s second law of thermodynamics, if it’s all that exists, it’s impossible for it to be here today. Impossible, and I’ll show you why. Everlucious will claim the universe began with an explosion from nothing. Bang! But this was called the Big Bang. All these gases came together and bow, it exploded. And lo and behold, here we are. And they say that if you could shrink the earth and put it in reverse, You know, like running a movie backwards and taking it back to the beginning and taking it all the way back and squeezing everything back and it would end with a flash of light and it would be no bigger than the point of a pencil.

And that’s where we started from, the point of a pencil. And boom, here we are. Now you can believe that if you want to. But I would say as Spock would say, that’s not logical. Now it started with the bank bang. This is what they say. How was the universe born and how will it end? Most astrometers believed that about 18 to 20 billion, you know, give or take a billion years. It doesn’t matter. All the matter in the universe was concentrated into one very dense, very hot region that may have been much smaller than a period on this page.

For some unknown reason, this region exploded. This explosion is called the big bang. you have a scientific explanation. Science means to know. You know what they have conducted experiments and been able to prove that this is truth. Have they done that? None of them haven’t done none of that. But they want to tell our young people this is true. And they’ll teach us in our schools and they teach us in our colleges. And so some of our kids, the reason they don’t know the Lord and don’t want to serve the Lord, they don’t believe the Bible is true.

Because we’re paying for our own destruction by teaching a bunch of garbage. Anyway, the universe burst into something from absolute nothing. Zero, nada. And as it got bigger, it became filled with even more stuff that came from absolutely nowhere. They forgot to say, once upon a time, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, in a far, far, far away little hot spot size of a pencil. The world exploded and there we are. Now you can believe that if you want to.

You can think that’s intellect. I mean that’s putting you way up there. You’re so scientific. This is what else they said. And you notice they all, sometimes they say exactly the same thing. It’s like, listen to, I guess, the Democrat talking points on all the news. All of a sudden, he’s crazy, he’s crazy, he’s crazy, he’s crazy. Turn to this one. He’s crazy, he’s crazy, he’s crazy. I don’t care where you turn, they’ll have their talking points and they all say exactly the same thing over and over and over again so everybody gets the point.

This is what it is. This is what they’re doing in the public schools. This is what they’re doing. They got their manual. They got their books. and they’re teaching this junk to our young generation, that one day is gonna be leading this country. God forbid. Started from the beginning as it currently thought up, the universe came into being about 15 billion years ago. Well, between 1520, you know, give or take a billion years rather than here. Get the sudden appearance of all the matter and energy in the universe as a single very hot and dense point, the big bang.

Now, which one of these guys were there when this happened? Who recorded this when it was happening? Nobody? Do you know whenever the Bible says, in the beginning God created an heaven, he was there. He gave testimony, he gave a witness. Who is there to give the witness about what they say it is true? There is nobody. You see, when they got science, no they don’t. There is no scientific evidence that what they’re saying a big bang ever happened or could happen.

It’s impossible. How this happened and what came before is a matter of complete speculation. This is what they’re saying. What happened before and what came before? It is a matter of complete speculation. Well, what do you think there’s is? All of it is. But look at the next statement, our history began then and we have no scientific evidence of anything before then, as though we have it now. They don’t have it now. It never did happen the way they say it happened.

It’s impossible for it to happen. The universe was created sometime between 10 billion and 20 billion. No, give it to 5, 10, 2, from billion, you don’t matter. You’ve got enough time, anything is possible. That’s what I heard. From a cosmic explosion that hurtled matter and creation or energy in all directions, that’s what they’re and this is what they’re teaching is evidence. Now in the realm of the universe, nothing really means nothing. Isn’t that scientific? Isn’t that good? You should know that.

Nothing means nothing. So if they started off with nothing and now we have something, where did something come from? Well the universe began out of this state of nothingness in a gigantic explosion, not just 16, but 16 and a half billion years ago. Now how do they know? Is that a speculation? Is that a guess? Is that a scientific fact? I don’t think so. They continue. If you could run the life of the universe in reverse, like a film, you would see the universe contracting until it disappeared in a flash of light.

An abundant horse-beat of the great horse silver. Return of this novel that’s still in days of yesteryear. In a flash of light leaving what? Leaving nothing. In the realm of the universe, nothing really means nothing. So if there was nothing, where did something come from? Well, I say nothing exploded and created space and time and matter and energy. Can you have an explosion without energy. It exploded. What exploded? Nothing. Remember you started with what? Nothing. What exploded if you had no matter?

Nothing? But it sounds very scientific. When you have nothing, nothing can explode if there is nothing. I don’t know if you have to be that smart to write a textbook, but I’m sure it helps. Nothing means nothing. And that’s what they start with. Not only matter and energy would disappear, but also space and time. If you had to shrink it all down to there’s nothing left. You’re back to nothing. However, physicists theorized that from this state of nothingness, the universe began in a gigantic explosion about 16 and a half billion years ago, the big bang.

And there’s mom and dad that are paying big money for these kids to go to these high-falutans, colleges, and universities to get filled this junk in their mind. And then you wonder why the kids can’t read, you can’t think, can’t use logic because they’re putting trash into their mind. Keep us in mind, if you don’t like what I’m saying, you ought to be thankful for what I’m holding back. Do you know what will happen if you leave nothing alone long enough?

Do you know what will happen if you leave nothing alone long enough? See how smart y’all are? We got smart people here at Calvary Community Church. So you can figure this stuff out. Ellen Gunn come up with the idea of vacuum fluctuation. Not disprove it’s not there. But this is what they came up with. The Big Bang Theory states that at some time in the distant past there was nothing. A process known as vacuum fluctuation created what astrophysicists call a singularity from one little simple point, one little period.

Anyway, about the size of a dime. The universe was born. Now you have an explanation. See there? See how easy it is? problem solved? No problem not solved. Here’s the idea at some point in time in a spot no bigger than a dime there was vacuum fluctuation. This is what they’re saying. How can it happen at this some point in time if time does not exist yet? There is no time remember? Because time has to have a beginning. What is time?

Based on what? How can it be a spot no bigger than a dime? If I have a dime a And a dime has to take up space. There is no space. We’re talking about matter and space and energy. Things that you and I have to have in order to exist. Well there is no such thing as space. There’s no space. Who creates space? If you have a dime, what it takes up space? Where did it come from? If they got a dime, then that’s matter.

But there is no matter because there is no nothing. Remember, there is nothing. A vacuum is the opposite of matter, but it requires the existence of matter when none existed. A vacuum also requires space and time and energy when supposedly none existed. So how can it explode or fluctuate? Because fluctuation means movement. according to the law of inertia, everything has to remain still until acted upon by an outside force. This rock. There. That rock will stay there until it’s acted upon by an outside force.

It cannot move itself. Something in a straight line will keep going straight until something acts upon it from an outside force. That’s because, see, matter cannot be created nor destroyed, but we’ll get into that later on. So you cannot have fluctuation without the existence of space, time, matter, and energy. Because for something to move, something has to move it. So they can’t be fluctuation. But they sound scientific, but they’re not scientific. It’s the full God’s people and anybody and they become like cattle and they just follow.

Well, he feeds me, I will swallow. Oh, remember this slide I showed to you a while ago. How this happened and what came before is a matter of complete speculation. Our history began then and we have no scientific evidence of anything before then. Where is the scientific evidence after the complete speculation? There is no scientific evidence. Evolution is not scientific. Evolution breaks scientific laws. elements being destroyed by a big explosion makes more sense than a big explosion causing everything to be.

Scientifically, can something come from nothing? Just think about it. There’s nothing. Where did something come from? Have you ever seen it happen? I need a million dollars up here. How long will I I have to wait. I’m waiting. I’m waiting. Real science, complexity of order, has never been observed as a product of an explosion. And I used to when I was about 15 years old. I worked with my uncle at the Thai Water News up in Virginia. And he had a job of running a line of type.

He was an operator and he would sit tight and so he let me come to the place, the printing shop, and he gave me little ads to sit. And then I would have to take them apart and they had California Job case where they would have an ETA, O-I-U-S-H-R, and I knew the whole thing. I memorized it. And I would take the thing, then it would be the type upside down and backwards, but different kind of types, different drawers.

So I would have to put it back into this right place. So I got to where I was fast at it. And I could read upside down and backwards because that’s the way it came. Tell when you print the paper, it’d come out right. Now here’s all these cases of all these types. So what they’re saying is we could set a bomb in this place and blow it all up and lo and be whole, it would print the encyclopedia.

Do you believe that would happen? Well, that’s what they’re trying to say. No explosion as we know of have ever done anything that’s good except there’s always an exception. There’s always an exception to everything. And that is when your mom explodes and yes ma’am, yes ma’am, yes ma’am, and all of a sudden you can clean up all room, there’s always an exception to a role. Now why didn’t nothing just stay nothing. If there’s nothing, okay, why didn’t nothing, stay nothing?

Because everything of the cause and effect, something has to cause something to be there. So if there is all of a sudden something, something had to cause it. Why did it explode? Well, it exploded. Why did it explode? How can it explode without energy? And what exploded if there is no matter? The four gases came, what gases? Where did they come from? See, they don’t really start at the beginning. They’ve got to start with a miracle. Did you know that every step in evolution requires a greater miracle than the creation story itself?

Scientifically, can you have an explosion without any? No. If there was no matter, well, what exploded? The law of thermodynamics. Now this is interesting because you’ve got to have a beginning and matter cannot be created nor destroyed. If it’s a closed system, it has to be worked upon from the outside. Nothing that we have right now can naturally reproduce itself, can create something. Can anything create itself if it doesn’t yet exist? Okay. I want a chair to appear right here.

Oh please don’t let happen. I want to cheer to appear right here. How long will we have to wait for this chair to appear? How long? 20 billion years. Oh, it’s got to be longer than that. 20 billion years. All right. I want a person right there. How long will we have to wait before a person appears? You see, if he doesn’t already exist, how or where did he come from and by what power? Well somebody had to make him or he made himself.

And how can you act before you exist? A lot of this stuff is in this little booklet that I wrote years ago, but I think I get the point. It forbids a natural process from bringing something into nothing. It is not scientific. It cannot happen. There’s no one who has ever been able to prove that something comes from nothing. There’s no natural process that can create energy or matter. It’s impossible to be done. Evolution says nothing exploded and created space, time, matter and energy.
