We pray that you will enjoy our commitment to the clear gospel of Jesus Christ and that today’s concluding message of this teaching will be a blessing to you and your family.

The next statement, number three, Paul’s gospel was based upon what was taught already in the Old Testament. His was not some new message, thought a new message. Can a man be saved and not believe in the payment? Death, burial, and resurrection of Christ for his end. Why do you think Florida Bible College made such an impact because of the clarity of the gospel? The wallet illustration, every time it’s given, it’s hoped about the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ?

Because our message was clear. People understood. Our opening statement would always be, if you could know you could have eternal life, wouldn’t you like to know? Well, the only way you can know is it’s got to be free and it has to last forever. So if it’s not free, you can’t know. If it doesn’t last forever, you can’t know. So is it important what that gospel is? And has anybody ever taken the Bible and showed you how to have eternal life?

Those are questions that well, but we always spoke with authority and we were clear, And this is why people who had gone to Fort Obama College were able to make such an impact upon people’s lives. Because we didn’t tell them that you have to be good enough to qualify. We said just as a center, and that’s what we are. Just like you are, you are a center. I am a center. And God will save you just like you are.

Without stopping anything, promising anything, quitting, not doing nothing. It’s the gift of God. It’s free. And people cannot believe that God loves people that much. One statement that Ray Stanford used to always make, and I don’t know many people remember it, but I heard him say it about a thousand times. Maybe that’s why I remember it. When he’d gone to this Bible study in the home of a man named Clifton Erofala, he had given the gospel and Ray was sitting there.

And so he looked at Clifton Erofala and he says, you mean to tell me I can trust Christ as my Savior. He’ll give me eternal life. And I can go out here and live like hot plays and still go to heaven when I die. Cliftenell Fowler looked at him and says, that’s a crude way to put it, son. But God loves you that much. And Ray Slammed the table and says, that’s for me. And he’s giving that test more over him.

But listen to what he was saying. If Cliftenell Fowler had said no, no, no, no, that’s not true. He would have never accepted Christ as Savior because it was a gift. It was free. And can I, as a Christian, hear I am right now, can I live as I please? Yes, I can. But then God also is able to do what He pleases to. And I don’t know exactly how He’s going to get me or what He’s going to do, but He will.

So I can expect my Heavenly Father to chasten me. Not because He hates me, but because He loves me. He always loves us, and he loves his children. But not a preacher will say, no, no, that’s a sign you’re not really saved. If you’re really saved, you’re not going to want to go out here and do this and this and this and this and this. Then why is everybody doing that? Because they do want to do it. Why? Because you still have an whole sinful nature.

On my website, the YouTube, they’re always putting in there, well, when you trust Christ to save you, you’re a new creature and you’re not going to want to do those things anymore. Well, they’re not thinking about God never changed the old man. He didn’t change your old sinful nature. He never took it away. He gave you a new birth. This new one, born of God. This one’s not born of God, and that’s why you still have the lust of the flesh.

You can still commit everything in the book. Why? Because of the first birth. But God gave me a second birth. And just because I walk in the flesh doesn’t annul this birth. And if I decide to walk in the Spirit and obey the Lord and serve God and love Him with all my heart, that doesn’t do away with this birth. I still got Him. And that’s why at any time this old man can walk up and slap you upside the head.

That’s why you cannot trust your sinful nature. I look down at the bottom. Can a man believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and not be saved? Yes, if you don’t know who he is and what he’s done, but it’s kind of a hard question to answer because there’s a lot of people you take, for example, Catholics, don’t Catholics teach the death, burial and resurrection of Christ? The next statement, when he does not see this as a payment for all his sins, his future sins will cause him mental anguish and doubts about his salvation.

many religions believe Christ died and rose again, but they don’t truly trust Him as their Savior. You’ll have all kinds of religions that will teach the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. So that means they’re going to heaven. No, because they don’t believe salvation is by grace. They don’t understand if He died for my sins and really believed that, then that takes care of eternal security. Why? Because I know that all my sins He paid for. So if I don’t have any sins to pay for, then where am I going to go when I die?

I get to go to heaven. And it eliminates all questions. And I don’t have to worry about it. I don’t have doubts. I haven’t had them for 55 years or more. What? Because I know that what Christ did, and I know what He said is all based upon this resurrection of Christ from the dead, look down at the bottom of the page. What Jesus did was paid for our sins by His death on the cross. What He said was, I could be saved by faith and given the free gift of eternal life if I believe what He did, He died from Him.

All that He promised, based upon what He did, Christ died for my sins. So if that’s true and I have a payment for how many of my sins. When Christ died 2000 years ago, how many of my sins were in the future? They’re all in the future. Well, what about the ones I haven’t done yet? Are they still in the future? Well, wouldn’t that include them too? Because he’s not coming back after today and pay for my sins that I haven’t done yet.

How many sins did you pay for? All of them from time I’m born to the time I die, he made a payment. I have a payment for my sins. That’s why I can’t go to hell because I don’t have any sins to pay for. He paid for my sin and he said, if I believed it, he’d put that payment he made to my account and that makes sense. Now look at the top of the page up there. Galatians chapter three says, and the scripture, I wonder where that’s at.

Well, that scripture referred to. Old Testament. And the scripture foreseen, does God know the future? Can God see into the future? Yes. Foreseen that God would justify the heathen through faith. Preached before the gospel under Abraham. So do you think he’s talking about a different gospel after he had just mentioned in Galatians in chapter 1 and verse 6, I marvel that you’re so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ and to another gospel, which is not another, but there’s some that will trouble you and pervert the gospel of Christ.

There is no other gospel. So do you think the gospel that was preached to Abraham was a different gospel than the gospel he was preaching that he got straight from Christ? I got to hunt just the same gospel because it can’t be another gospel. He said there is no other one. So then must be the same gospel. So notice, I believe he preached the same gospel to Adam. God preached that he would justify the heathen through faith. This is one of the best definitions of the gospel, justification by faith.

See when you believe the gospel, God justifies you by your faith and what Christ did. It means that you’re looked upon as, well, like you’ve never been guilty of anything, You’ve never sinned. Look up here just a moment. Here’s God. He’s just. He has no sin. He’s perfect. For you and I to go to heaven to live with Him, we have got to be just as perfect and righteous as God. Anything sure of that won’t do. So how was a sinful man going to be just with God?

Because a man has all sinned. So what Christ did was He took all of our sins and paid for them on the cross. And when we believe it, He gives to us a new birth. The new birth is born of God. The new birth has no sin. The new birth is perfect. So the very moment you trust Christ as Savior, you have to be good to go. When I trusted Christ 58 years ago, that day, that moment, God saved me and gave me His righteous and His perfection, I was good to go to heaven that moment.

And 58 years later, can’t change that because that’s my new birth. So I am now justified just as if I’d never sinned. I am righteous because He gave me His righteousness, declared me righteous. I’m clear.” So you have to be justified in order to be given the free gift of everlasting life. He doesn’t give everlasting life to the lost man if he doesn’t believe. So Christ takes that payment that He had made, puts it to your account, your debts paid, You’re justified.

And so that’s why you’re justified by faith and God gives you the free gift of everlasting life so that I can see, can’t give it to a person that’s going to go to hell. He can’t give everlasting life to a person that can lose a salvation. Look at the next statement. The blessing of Abraham was to be justified by faith. The first one to preach the gospel was God himself. I believe he also preached the same gospel to Adam.

God preached it. Now, in Galatians in chapter 3, we’re down here in the middle part of that statement here. The main purpose of these scriptures is to prove that Paul’s gospel was the same as the gospel preached to Abraham. God preached grace in the Old Testament, in italics there, to Abraham and Christ preached grace to Paul in the New Testament. Same message, same gospel by God the Father and God the Son. It’s the Holy Spirit that saves us and gives us this new birth.

That’s why it’s a spiritual birth. Now look at the regulations three here in your notes. That the blessing of Abraham, the blessing of Abraham was being justified by faith. Abraham believed God and it was counted than the hymn for righteousness. So Abraham in Genesis chapter 15 and verse 6 was justified by faith alone. So the blessing of Abraham is to be justified by faith might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. So this blessing coming upon the Gentiles must have been the same blessing that came upon the Jews that came upon Abraham.

So that we’re all saved same way. There cannot be another gospel that says because God says there’s only one and it’s by grace. Is God going to tell us now that no, they were saved by the law and the Old Testament? Well, then they were saved by works and there is another gospel then. And if he was saved by their works, then they had to keep doing the good works. Take your Bible and turn to the book of Galatians in chapter 3.

Galatians chapter 3. I notice what he says here in verse 10. Galatians chapter 3 and look in verse 10. Verse 10 says, for as many as are the works of the law, so is he comparing the gospel of grace and justification by faith with the law? Why? Because the legalistic Judaizers that had come down from Jerusalem was spreading this heresy that you’ve got to keep the law. Well, what’s the difference today? You’ve got to go to church. That’s works.

You’ve got to get money. Do you have to go to church? Do you have to give money to go to heaven? No, you don’t. Because there’s a lot of preachers that want to build their churches by telling you, you’ve got to come to church or you’re going to hell. Well, if you really saved your will, And if you don’t, that’s a sign you’re not really saved. No, it’s a sign they’re all disobedient. So, whenever my daughter, for example, here she is, she’s 17 years old.

So, as long as my daughter obeys me, she’s my daughter. Is that true? She’s my daughter whether she obeys me or not. But if she obeys me, she’s mine. Did she disobey? She’s Betty’s. No, she’s still my daughter. doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not how she lives, but I would want my kids to serve the Lord and honor Him and all that kind. But if they don’t, they’re still my kids. When you trusted Christ as Savior, you became God’s child.

Now as a child of God, is it God’s will that you obey your heavenly Father? Well of course. But if you don’t, are you still His child? Yeah, look up here. This is not the child of God. That’s when you’re born into the world. When you trusted Christ, God gave your new birth, this one is born of God. And so I was a babe in Christ 58 years ago. And this one is born of God. So God doesn’t have a sinful nature.

So this one don’t have a sinful nature. Without a sinful nature, this one doesn’t sin. This one doesn’t sin. This one can’t die. My flesh, birth, When I trusted Christ as my Savior and I was ugly and I looked in the mirror and I was still ugly, that’s the splash. God never changed this old man. Never did anything for this old man. Did take away his sinful desires. I have you say, well, when I got saved, got took away all my sinful desires.

He did not. He did not. He just gave you a new birth with some new desires and you made a choice. But at any time a Christian can walk in the flesh. So now get this. in these verses. The next statement there is in verse 21, is the law then that came 430 years later against the promise of God. God forbid. For if there had been a law which could have given life, eternally, fairly righteousness should have been by the law.

But the scripture, the Old Testament, hath concluded all, all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe, this is the Bible, and it’s as clear as a Bible. It can be. Look at the next statement. Romans 3 points to the condition of the Jews before the cross and their advantage. The Bible says the Jews had an advantage over the Gentiles because they also had a conscience, just like the Gentile, but God gave them the word of God.

So they had an advantage, but they didn’t take advantage of their advantage. So now, the conclusion was whether they were Jew or Gentile and gone all the way back. When they knew God, they glorified not as God, but became vain in their own imagination. And their foolish heart was darkened and so on. He says, if there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles, why wouldn’t both be saved the same way? If there’s no difference between the Jews and Gentiles, then why wouldn’t both be saved the same way?

then are we better than they? No and no wise, for we have before proof of Jews and Gentiles that they are all under sin. Jews and Gentiles. Anybody says? Now get this. As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one. Jew or Gentile, none righteous. The next statement, even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all, but it’s upon all them that believe.” Why? Because there’s no difference. Everybody’s the center and the Jews and the Gentiles are both lost.

There’s none that seeks to have the God. They’re not righteous. They all have to be saved the same way. Look down to the next statement. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3, 23. You’ve I’ve heard that one, simple little verse. Now get this in verse 24, which follows verse 23. Being justified freely, huh? Freely by his grace. But if I tell a lost man, here’s a man over here, okay now he’s drinking and smoking and doing everything you can think of.

If I tell him you got a turn from your sin, okay, does he really have to turn from? All of them are just some of them. You could take 100 Baptist preachers put them in a room and say, now all of y’all believe that you have to turn from your sins to be saved. I want you to make a list exactly which ones and see if they all agree. What do you think? Do you think someone will have a longer list than somebody else?

Or they’re just lists, well the most important. But the little things, you know, like anger and bitterness and jealousy and envy. You think you’re listening to all those sins too? So you see, they can’t do that for the simple reason. They don’t know. And not only that, ask every preacher, have you turned from all of your sins? I did that in a meeting with 50 Baptist preachers. And Betty was sitting there scared to death. She was supposed to get back and take in the picture, but she never got the picture taken.

Because I brought this subject up, and I preached what I’m telling you right now. And when I first started off, amen, brother, amen, amen, amen, oh, me, oh, me, oh, me. Changed very quickly. But when it was all done, I was still alive, and nobody killed me. But it was a little tense. I’ll have to admit that. But some of them says, I’ve never understood that before in my life. I’m talking about where you got some hard nose preachers, sit in their ways and been preaching Turner burn and forsaker bacon, wine and pine and moaning groan, all the rest of it, you know.

So look at the estate one here. In no difference. No difference. And then the next statement there. And verse 24, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. The redemption means that payment that he made. You see, he redeemed. I mean, he paid a price to buy us off of the slave market of sin. He paid our debt. Look at the next statement. whom God have set forth to be a propitiation. That means a payment satisfaction through faith in his blood to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed before the cross, through the forbearance of God.

To declare I say at this time after the cross, his righteousness that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. So Christ goes through the cross and He makes a payment for the sins of the world. And to declare His righteousness, the Old Testament saints, and now His righteousness on this side of the cross. But we all look to the cross. Now look at the next statement. If a man is saved by grace, really saved by grace, where is boasting then?

Can’t brag, can’t you? Let’s say I did all these bad things, but I quit all my sins and I started living right. I even came to church, got to sing in the choir, became a deacon and men, I did everything. I’m doing all these right things. Look at me. Ain’t I something? I’m going to heaven because I turn from my sins and make Christ the Lord and the Master of my life. If that’s true, then I have every reason to brag about how great I am and look what I have done.

But if you’re saved by grace, what did you offer? What did you stop? What did you have to do to merit it? Isn’t grace unmerited favor? Isn’t that what grace is unmerited? Well if a man has to turn from his sins, don’t he have to merit the right to be saved? Because God can’t save him with his sins. You’ve got to quit those. No there is a problem. Serious problem. down to the next statement. In verse 27, where is boasting then?

It is excluded by what law of works, nay, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith was the last part of it, without the deeds of the law. You see the law told people what you could and you couldn’t do. The preacher who lays down that same kind of a law for salvation is just as legalistic as those who are under the law and the Pharisees were when they were laying down the law and they weren’t doing it themselves.

Look at the next statement, is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles too. Seeing it is one God which shall justify the circumcision, that’s the Jews, by faith and uncircumcision, that’s the Gentiles by faith, that evidently the Jews and the Gentiles were saved how? Same way. I hope that you don’t have a problem with that. I hope you can see that because when you say I love the Lord, and I love Jesus Christ and I love the gospel, then you’ve got to be set for the defense of the gospel because to mutilate the gospel is to take like Jesus Christ and walking up and just slapping him right in face.

What you did was good, but it wasn’t enough. It wasn’t enough. It was necessary, but not enough. And you helped. What’s the good thing I helped? I used this illustration one time. I got a Lamborghini up here. Can you see it? You got to be able to see it with your mind’s eye. It’s about $200,000 for you. It says it’s sitting right here. You see it? And here’s Emilio right here. Emilio, I’m going to give this thing to you.

You know, I’m just going to give it to you. And it’s $200,000. And Amelia walks up here and says, I appreciate that, but I can’t accept that. I’ve got to do something. Here’s a penny. Now, if I accept that penny, he didn’t get it free. He bought it for a penny. It wasn’t free. He paid for it. And this will only work if I accept it. God will not accept your work. He won’t accept any offers. You can’t add to a gift.

It’s free. It’s by grace. Nothing else will work. So this refers to saints on both sides of the cross, I believe. Look up here. This hand represents you and me. The wallet represents sin, where you all have sin on us. We always want people to know whether they’re here or watching by Internet. And who knows how far this message today will go. When you put it on a YouTube channel, it could go around the world. God loves us, but he hates our sin.

And God says the wages of sin is death. Since we’ve all sinned, we’re all condemned. And man cannot change that. We’re all going to die. But to go to heaven, you have to be perfect, as righteous as God, no sin. Because, see, heaven is perfect, and God is perfect, and you’ve got to be perfect to go there, and we’re not. So God says, you cannot save yourself. This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. He came into the world because he loves us.

I hate our sin because our sin separates us from him. So Christ who didn’t have any sin didn’t have to die. So he took all of our sins. And when he took our sins, he had to die. So he paid for all of our sin for the whole world, came back from the dead. And the only thing he wanted us to do is believe he did it for us. So when I believe he did it for me, I’m put in my faith in what he did.

See, in reality, Jesus is the payment. When you accept Jesus Christ, he was my payment. He was my sacrifice. He was my lamb that paid for my sins. So when I accept Christ as my Savior, and what he said before, when he comes back from the dead, he has scars in his hands and in his feet and his side. That’s the living proof of payment. A payment was made and Jesus is my receipt. And whenever I believe he did it for me, he puts that payment to my account.

I go to heaven, all Christ did for me. I have everlasting life. I know I’m going to heaven when I die. And it’s not because of any good deed that I have ever done in 58 and a half years. I’m going to heaven because Christ did it all and it was sufficient. Let’s pray, shall we? With his bow and eyes closed and no one looking around. If you have never trusted Christ as your Savior, I urge you to do so.

There is no other way. You cannot offer anything. God doesn’t want any of our help. He alone purged our sins by himself when he made that payment. If you’re watching by internet right on the screen, it says, yes, I’ll trust Christ as my Savior. If you’ve never done it, do it right now. We’d love to know that if what we’ve said made sense to you, we want you to have eternal We want you to go to heaven when you die.

If you already know Christ is your Savior, yes, it’s God’s will that we serve Him, but we don’t serve the Lord to get to heaven. We should serve Him because of what He’s done for us. Father, thank You again for Your blessings. Thank You for all You’ve done for us. Thank You for this time together. Thank You for our church. Help us get all the things done that we need to for. All the things we’ve got coming down the road.

Just a lot of things. Put an edge of bod. Protect us. Help us to love each other as we should in the do right. In Christ and your brain. Are you a new listener to Bibleline?
