Look at letter B. He that believeth on him is not condemned but separation. believe if not. So there are believers and there’s unbelievers. We often say there’s saints in the aint’s. Two classification of people, saints in the aint’s. Those who have eternal life, those who do not have eternal life. And so after you trusted Christ as your Savior, you need to know you are different than you were before you trusted Lord. You are now God’s child. You once was a devil child.

You now have the Holy Spirit before you did not have the Holy Spirit. There is a separation between the two. So he says in letter B, but he that believeth of them is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already. So there are those who are condemned, those who are not condemned, those that believe, those that do not believe. There is a division, there is a separation. Now here, let her see, and you can find many verses but I like the Psalms.

Especially verse the first Psalm. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the council of the ungodly, that separation. Nor standeth in the way of sinners, that separation. Nor siteth in the seat of the scornful, that separation. So if you wanna be wise, then you can’t do the things that God says, now you can do these things, But you need to separate yourself and be different. If you want to be different, things that are different are not the same.

Look at the next scripture. The separation that I wrote there, and that one verse alone, walketh not, because it’s different. Standeth not, it’s a separation. Siteth not. You are to be separated and not seek the counseling of the world to help guide you spiritually. Now there’s a lot of things that lost people know that you can have to have answers to. They may know how to work on your car and they may know how to work the law and things like that.

But you as a child of God should still learn to be wise in what you do. And that the Holy Spirit can lead and guide you. Look at number two, separation from the Word. So we know that as far as the world goes, what is going to help separate you from the world as now that you are a child of God? Well that’s going to be the Word of God. So you need to know the Word of God. So look at letter A there, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law that he meditate day and night.

This is something that you have to, I guess, come to the conclusion of who has the authority in your life. Who’s the one that tells you what to do or what not to do? If it’s not God, who is it? Now some people are only as strong as the last person they talked to. That was their source of authority. Are you strong enough that you can say, I want to obey whatever God says and he’s become that voice of authority.

And it doesn’t matter what anybody else says or things. Now, if I believe this is what God’s word said, that’s what you have to decide in your mind. Who is going to be my source of authority to guide my life? Now, if it’s going to be the Lord, then it has to be His Word, right? So you go to the Word of God. be all scriptures given by inspiration of God in this profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction, and righteousness, that the man of God may be perfectly complete, through He furnished unto all good works.

This is what the Word of God is for. It’s that which helps makes us different from the world. When He simply says, be not conformed to this word, but be transform by the knowing of your mind. That’s wonderful, but tell me to do all of that. Okay. How Lord? Well, the Word of God is for this. And look at the next verse, 2 Timothy chapter 2 and verse 15, where it says, Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that need if not to be ashamed.

Rightly dividing the Word of truth. Study to show thyself approved unto God. The person who doesn’t is going to be different from the person who does. There is a division. There’s a separation. A man who studies the wisdom of the person who does. of the world and the man who studies the wisdom of God, they know where they should think the same way. They shouldn’t be the same because see the world tries to imitate the believers. They can go to church, read their Bible, I’m talking about the person who really has trustly Christ.

I’m talking about the person who does what God’s will for his life. Did that person has to think the way God wants him to think? Look at number three, separated unto the walk. In other words, when you realize you trust the Christ of Savior, now you’re God’s child. You’re separated from the world. You’re now in the God’s kingdom. You’re his child. And the thing is going to help a child of God do the thing that he should do is going to be the word of God.

And so when you learn the word of God, then you learn how to walk. You walk according to the word. So do you need to know the word in order to know how to walk in this world? Yes, because that’s what it’s for now look down at the bottom of the page there Paul says I’ve there for the prisoner of the Lord that word prisoner comes from a Greek word do lost and it means to be made a love slave It means I’m a slave of the Lord, but I’m a love slave means I voluntarily choose to serve the Lord I’ve known some people they listen to my messages that I got on YouTube, but then they’ll always come out with a question or a statement because they don’t listen to all of my messages.

I’m supposed to answer everything in every message so that they’ll have that answer. And so someone might say, now listen to this sermon and it’ll answer that question. Listen to this sermon, it’ll answer that question. But they won’t cut meaning slack right off the bat. Well if Yakey Arl only understood Hebrews chapter 6. I wish you would preach something on Hebrews chapter 6. Well, lot it all I have and it’s on there but they just haven’t seen it yet.

So I guess in some of them will write me a letter and they’ll write me one question and it taken our answer some of these questions. So I use them to other people to have fun. But when you talk about the separated unto the walk, the walk that God has for you, he says, I therefore the prisoner of the Lord. He says, beseech you that you and here’s two words. I put it in but walk worthy. So it’s not just a matter of walking and pretense that you’re doing it because you read the book of 1 John in chapter 2.

He says, he that saith, he loves God, but he doesn’t walk right. God says he’s lying. And if he saith, you can say a lot of things, but what you say doesn’t mean a cotton picking thing. What are you doing? What are you doing? You can say, I love God all your life. Nobody here, what you say, what are you doing? Are you living like you love God? Then that’s what you have to do. But look what he have here.

He says, walk worthy of the vocation, wherewith ye are called. So if you’re going to walk worthy means that there are some people who are not going to walk worthy. There’s always a separation. And as a child of God, you are always faced with the things that will lead to feed the Spirit or feed the flesh. You’ve got this choice, these decisions you have to make. and there’s a multitude of them. Look at the top of the next page.

With all loneliness and meekness with long suffering for bearing one another in love. Now this is how God tells us he wants us to walk doing that. Now that might say well that’d be a piece of cake until somebody makes you know upset you or does something to you and then being at forgiving and long suffering. Look at letter C, endeavoring to keep the, see those words, unity of the Spirit, unity of the Spirit in the bond of the, this is how you walk.

So you’re supposed to separate yourself, not everybody does everything that same way or even the right way, but try to see that this is how God wants me to live. Am I a separated Christian? Now most people when they talk about being separate, well I don’t drink, smoke, dip and chew and go to girls who do. There’s a lot more involved in just those things. We’re talking, sometimes you’re talking about okay, you got to get into this standard of this dress or you know hair and you know.

Movies and dances, beer joints. How many places are there? Well, if we ever started making a list, how big would that list be? And then we’d have to keep adding to it. But so what I’ve tried to do over the years is not me trying to do anything that would be questionable, but try to get a person in the same. Is this going to feed the spirit, my new birth, make me stronger? Or is this going to make me weaker in the flesh?

Which way? Will it lead me? Will it lead me away from things of God? Or does it show to other people that I love the Lord or what they call questions in their minds? Will I become a stumbling block to them? And see, there’s decisions you have to make because after a while, say, you have to get to the place where you’re not gonna have everybody stand around telling you what you can and cannot do. You gotta do it on how to think for yourself.

And you gotta learn how to encourage yourself in the Lord. And when you’re not doing right, and the guilt, the conscience, and all of these things that bothers us sometime, you have to learn how to walk with the Lord. And nobody can walk with the Lord for you. These are things you have to understand. But you need to start. And there may be things you’re doing in your life that not right. And you say, well, I don’t see it really bad with women.

Is it helping or hurting you? If everybody knew this one thing that you’re doing, would it be good or bad? So you had to wait, maybe that’s not worth doing. So you gotta learn how to judge some of these things and discern yourself. It’s always to discern everybody else. But I’m talking about yourself, because that’s really boils down to it. When we get to heaven, I don’t think people are gonna have to stand in for me and say, well Lord, I disagree with that.

Let me tell you why Yankee really did this. I don’t think it’s gonna work. Every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. So God knows. Now look at the next statement. When we talk here about the light, see there in verse, a letter E. Well, D, I was just talking about that. There’s a separation between the flesh and the spirit. And you’re always got the desires for both, but which one do you feed? And letter E, if we say that we have fellowship with Him in walk and darkness, we lie and do not the truth.

This is so you can discern for yourself. Because if you know what the works of the flesh are, well, if you’re bringing forth the works of the flesh, that’s not the love of God. Love not the flesh, not the love of the world. He, the love of the world, has not the love of the Father in Him. So you can kind of judge for yourself. Spiritual maturity is when you can discern your own life and correct it without somebody having to do it for you.

The next statement, if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another. And the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us, or continually cleaps us clean. Number four, separate it unto the work of the Lord. Because when you learn how to walk with the Lord, you’re gonna find there’s a ministry somewhere. God wants you to do. There’s this ministry. What is the ministry? Now you read 2 Corinthians in chapter six and it says that we have this ministry.

2 Corinthians chapter four, verse one, seen we have this ministry. and the ministry that God has called you to do, whatever that might be, is something that ought to be the greatest desire we have as I wanna fulfill that ministry. I wanna fulfill the course that God has for me. Now look what do we have here. Let her aid. Now there were in the church that was at Antioch, certain prophets and teachers. As Barnabas and Simeon, that was called Niger, and Lucius of Sorene and Menian, which had been brought up with Herod the Tetrarch and Saul.

So what did they told him? There were some people and they wanted to send them out. So we see there in the letter B. And as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, separate me, Barnabas and Saul for the work were unto I have called him. So they had a responsibility that people did. But God has a responsibility. The Holy Spirit has a responsibility. Jesus has a responsibility. But just like the other day, we had an ordination service for John Henry.

Where we can do all that we do, but we’re not God. If John doesn’t stay right with the Lord, God’s not gonna use him. I don’t care how much we want him to be used. He’s got a total mark. And don’t you know, people are gonna watch everything he says and does. That’s why not many people wanna be ordained ministry. I was talking to Lee, he says, I really liked all those things you said. He says, that’s scary, isn’t it?

I said, when you stop and think about it, yes it is. I can see why a lot of people were going to do a thousand things, but this thing about being serious and being a pastor at the same time, and when to serve the Lord, you realize how on the spot you are, you’re going to You’re going to have to give a count for everything you taught. And the judgment is greater upon the teacher. James chapter 3 says, the greater judgment.

So you have to be careful. And then every time you speak, you’re trying to say everything right. Because some people won’t accept what you say if you don’t say it pleasing to their ears. And so you’re supposed to have your speech seasoned with salt. So how do you do that? That’s why I keep a little thing up. You don’t ever see me doing it though. But you stick out your tongue though. So you can season your speech with salt.

It means it should be. be acceptable, understood, striving to be clear. Anybody can be complicated, but to be clear in what you’re saying takes a lot of work. For example, this doesn’t take place in 20 minutes. You’ve got to study every point, every verse, and what am I going to say about this point, at this point, at this point? And it takes more time where you just So throw it together, but after much, much time. But look it down here at this, look at letter C.

And when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away, which is similar to what we did also. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God. Now that’s how you start off with the whole book of Romans. When you read the book of Romans, it’s a book of the justification by faith alone and what Christ did for us. But Paul, there’s many things that Paul could have done.

He could speak many languages. He was a highly educated man. But he lured himself to something that was more important because he says, I’m of the tribe of Benjamin and a Jew of Pharisee. He says, all those things I can’t but loss. Nothing but dumb compared to what I want to have in Christ. He says, that’s nothing compared to the wisdom, the knowledge of Jesus Christ himself. And so what did he want to do with his whole life? Preach the gospel.

He was separated onto this. Not many things, not everything. You’re not going to live long enough to do everything you’ve ever wanted to do. I told Betty did. If it had not been for her dad, lead me to the Lord and get me into this. I loved to have been an inventor. I have come out with so many ideas that I knew would work. And I would tell her 30, 40 years ago things that I would love to see done.

And I know that I said, this will work, this will work. And I would tell her, and she’ll tell her, she’ll vouch for it. And now I see them doing exactly what I said they’re going to do. And they’re not just something, well everybody thought that. No, they didn’t. No, they didn’t. But I know I got to get separated under this or I’m going to get so easily side-tracked. I used to have people who come to our church Colorado and they had kids in the Christian school.

And so we had a lot of people with a lot of money but their kids in the Christian school because it, they didn’t like what was going on in public schools. And I would have them come up to me and say, Jenkins, you need to get in the best line. You need to get in the shackly. You need to get into Amway. One of the head ladies right across the street from the church. Big fancy house, gated community horses and all that.

Right across the street came to church. And they would tell me, say, Jank, you realize that if you was to take and get involved in this year and you’d be up on the bus and then everybody who signed up underneath you, you were lying, you’d get a cut out of all of that. It’s just, you know, with over 400 or 500 families coming to this church and on the radio and then talking about in the Christian school and these kids in the college, you get everybody to, you realize what you can happen.

Yeah, but they were right above me. So whatever I did, would they get a cut too? And what I began to look at every person who came in the door, a dollar bill. That’s a dollar bill. Next thing you know on Monday nights and Tuesday nights and Thursday nights and Friday night, I’d be having my little parties kind of convince everybody that you need this, you need this, but what you can do. Do you think there’s a possibility I could get sidetracked from preaching the gospel?

I did not want to run the risk. I’m not telling them I’d be standing, they can do whatever they want to do. I said, but for me, if this is true, when any person to Christ is a greater value then all the wealth I could ever make from all of those programs all put together. All the silver and all the gold and all the world will not match the value of one soul. And I think I can win more people to Christ if I try to train somebody else how to be good soul winners.

Just keep doing that. So I feel like, okay, Yankee, you let this one to learn, this one to learn, this one to learn, this one to learn. And then he’s a little, I did it. But I’m doing it with a gospel. So whenever it’s life is all over with, when I get to heaven, I just wonder if I got any interest from all that down line. I don’t know. Or I get my reward for being faithful to do whatever I’m supposed to do.

Evermen just do faithfully what they’re supposed to do. Look at the next thing. Number five, and this is a simple one, because in the ministry, during the work, you’re gonna have war. It’s not gonna be a cakewalk. There’s a battle. Just quickly look down there above the two last lines where I have it in bold on at the bottom. where Luke says, why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say. That’s a good statement, but look at those two lines right ahead of it.

You will war with God or war against God. You will either fight God or you will fight as enemies. There is no two ways. There is no other option. Now, do I wanna live my life fighting against God or do I wanna live my life fighting God’s enemies? That’s a choice. Because if you do, then you as a soldier are going to have to guard every moment of your life. That’s why he says, endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Now look at the top of the page there. Not top of the page, but separate it unto the war. Put on those are things you’ve got to put on the whole armor of God. Why? That you’ll be able to stand. If you don’t do this, you will not stand. You cannot stand. You will not be able to war. The devil is going to have victory in your life. Let it be. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God.

Not parts. It’s like going to the line in cafeterias and well I want this. I don’t like that. I don’t like, well I could do a little of this. You don’t approach the word of God that way. Oh I like this. I don’t like that. Oh I don’t like that. You pick and choose. No no no. Put on the whole armor of God. Listen to what God has to say. Let her see, stand therefore, stand. Let her die above all, take into shield of faith.

These are things that are your responsibility. Not God’s responsibility. Every one of these are telling you what you’re supposed to do. If you’re gonna war, this is what you’ve gotta do. If you don’t wanna war, you don’t have to do any of this. But if I wanna win, then I need to study God’s word and study my enemy. I need to know my enemy and know him well know how he does what he does. I want to know how the devil trips of people.

I want to know about the fiery darts of the wicked one. I want to know how is he planning on getting me. So I studied the Bible. I see how he got this one. I see what he did here. He got this one. He got this. I don’t want the devil getting me. I’ve been knowing the Lord now for 57 and a half years. And God leaves me here for another 50 years. I want to serve all over another 50 years.

You hear that? Just put in a request from 50. Just love them saying in good shape, Lord. Look at the next one. Take in the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith. These are all things that you do. And last one there, letter A, F, praying always, praying always. Because you see, there is no greater form of work and no greater form of war. Fair that you can do that’s rather than praying yourself, because prayer is what keeps you right with the Lord.

Because you can’t pray right between you and God if you don’t stay right between you and God. Because prayer is a communication where you can talk to the Lord and keep things right and clean between you and the Lord. And that’s why your decision to be biblically separated is a choice. You do not have to be separated from the world instead of go to heaven, except by trusting Christ the Savior. That’s all you’ve got to do. You don’t have to study the word, you don’t have to walk with God, you don’t have to war, you don’t have to do anything, you can just do whatever you want to do.

But sometimes I think there’s people who say, I want something more, I want something better, and I’m going to give it all of it I’ve got. Look up here. This hand represents you and me and this wallet represents all of our sins. God says that He loves us. Now He hates what we do wrong, but He does love us. But because we have all sinned, we’re all condemned. Everybody in the world is this way. The whole world is guilty because everybody in the world is sinned.

All have sinned and come short of God’s perfection. And to pay for our sins is eternal separation from Him. So Christ said that the only way we can get to heaven is we got to pay for our sins. And then how are you going to do that? How can you come back? You can’t. God says you have to be perfect as righteous as God. None of us are perfect. None of us are righteous. We need a Savior. This hand represents Jesus Christ.

He’s God in the flesh. He came into the world because He loves us, hates our sin because our sin separates us from Him. So Jesus Christ who had no sin took all of ours, paid for it on the cross, and came back from the dead. And He says that the only thing He wanted you and me to do is believe that He did it for it, that He paid it. for our sins. And so if I believe that He paid for my sins and He puts this payment to my hand, He says, you can know that you have eternal life.

So when can I know I have eternal life? What when I believe the gospel? He’d that believe it to me? Half everlasting life. So when can I know that I have everlasting life? Well when I believe it. So if I believe it, God saves me, gives me eternal life and I’m going to heaven whenever I die. But I cannot court force anybody to walk with God, to war, to prepare, to study, to witness, that’s got to come from the inside of a person.

So I want to serve the one who did so much remain. And you’ve got to do it because you want to, not because somebody forces you to do it. Nobody could force me to serve a Lord. I serve a Lord because I want to. And nobody can put enough rules and regulations upon everybody to make everybody do right, it won’t happen. pray, show him. With every head bowed and every eye closed and no one looking around. If you’re here tonight or if you’re watching by internet and you’re not sure that you’re going to heaven whenever you die, understand this, God loves you.

Send his son to dying to pay for your sins. And all that he wanted you to do is believe that he did that for you. He paid for your sins. So if If he paid for your sins, that means you wouldn’t have any sins to pay for. He paid for all your sins. So if you don’t have any sins to pay for it because he paid for all your sins and you accept Christ as your Savior, he gives you eternal life, where would you go and you die?

You go to heaven. That’s the most important decision you’ll ever make. With his bow nice clothes, no one looking around, if there’s anyone here tonight, so I’ve never understood before, but I understand it now and I will trust Christ as my Savior. I’d like to know and I’d like to have prayer for you. Here in all, say pray for me. I will trust Christ right now as my Savior. Would you just slip your hand very quickly and put it right back down?

Or if you’re watching on the internet, just run on the screen and says, yes, I’ll trust Christ as my Savior. But if you’ve already trusted the Lord, remember it. God does want His children to live a separated life, a life that’s separated unto the Lord. and you want to do the things that would please the Lord in every area. Father, we thank you so much for all you’ve done for us. Thank you for this time together and we ask your blessings.

Like we prayed earlier for for Louis and his sister and just to bless him. This is hard for them, I know. But I know you’ll walk them through it and pray that as a church we can do those things that would help them and to help them to heal. We love them. We want the best for them. And Father for everybody that’s going to be going on to the trip to Israel, we pray for safety. That your use us as missionaries to do great mighty things.

Explain in the gospel is one of the greatest things that can never be done. And we just thankful for the ministry of giving us blessed rents to our night. And all the things that goes on, we ask your blessings upon each one here tonight. In Christ name we pray. Amen. Don’t miss out on all the fun.
