Now we know about the fruit of the Spirit and the book of Galatians of Galatians and chapter five and also the works of the flesh, all those are mentioned, but there’s something else I want you to see. They look what he says in verse 11. Well, let’s look at verse 10 first of all. It just looks so good. Where it says, approving what is acceptable unto God. Now discerning life and discerning descriptors has been able to fund what is acceptable to God.

Don’t trust your judgment. Trust God’s judgment. Does God accept this? Is this what God wants? Always ask that. Verse 11, And have no fellowship with the unproofful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things what you’re done of them in secret. There’s something God don’t want us to know. He didn’t want Adam and Eve to even know the consequences of sin. He didn’t want them to sin. But when they did, they found out a whole lot.

And there’s a little truth to what the devil told them. He says, you shall be like God, you’re no good in evil. And it’s not that. They did. But there’s something God doesn’t want us to know. That’s why we don’t try to teach our children how to be bad. We want to teach them how to be right. Because there’s something God doesn’t want them to do. We teach them the truth, the right thing to do. So that verse here, having no fellowship with the unproofful works of darkness.

That’s not what God wants us to do. Now look at it, the next one, perfect vision. Perfect vision means that God has perfect vision and he can see through the dark. You and I, we have a problem. God can see everything. That’s why he makes a statement here, and you ought to fill those out. Be sure your sin will find you out, because nothing is ever hid from God. Now you’re making up a decision. Your mind, you’re always debating what you’re gonna do, and so your faith is on trial, and God is watching us, and God is allowing us to be tempted and to be tested.

He permits it, but he wants you to be found faithful. Give up what else he says. Not the bottom of the page there, the permanent result. Hebrews 1126, Exteming the reproach of Christ, greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, greater riches. This means that there’s treasure in this world, but there’s something greater than this world. And that’s the rewards that we have when we serve the Lord. So the more you know and understand about this, the better decisions you can make.

the wiser you can be. You only get one trip through in this life. You don’t get a rerun. No instant replay. Just one trip and you want to get it right. You want to get it right. All right, look at the other side of the page there, the cost of obedience. If you do want to serve a Lord, if you do want to serve a Lord, you’ve got to pray the price. Salvation going to heaven, that’s free. Don’t cost us anything.

But serve in the Lord, it will. There may be things you’ll have to quit and give up and so forth because it won’t help your testimony on the hip to accomplish something is talking about running a race and get rid of every weight the sin that does so easily be said, set those things aside. So the more you study the word of God the more you find out that doesn’t help me, that doesn’t help me, that doesn’t help me, that doesn’t help me, and being able to be mature enough to let that go, let that go, let that go.

It’s not that you can’t do a lot of things but are they going to help you accomplish what God wants you to accomplish? I want to give you something. It’ll take a second, but I think it’s worth it. I have people all the time that I have to talk to, you know, marriage couples and thing of people, college kids, teenagers, camp. We’re always trying to figure out about whether to get a boss or he got camp coming up. We’ve got the graduation coming up.

We’ve got the other thing coming up. Betty’s going to the hospital and she’s got, you know, after a while it seemed like there’s an awful lot our pressure. Do you think the preacher ever gets on the end pressure? Say, no! Somebody asked me today, say, how are you doing? Fine. Now let me just kind of give you the preacher’s heart. Okay, you’ll bear with me while I read this to you. I didn’t write this, but this is my heart.

This is saying how I think and I feel sometimes. I have a burden, pastor, that I’d like to lay on you. I’ll listen. though he never knew that I had a burden too. I took a tearful look toward mine, then his came into view. It was plain to see my burden was the larger of the two. I saw his load alongside mine, and though they both were real, the yoke he bore was made of wood, mine was made of steel.

To him I said, come unto me, I’ll gladly carry thine, then whispered unto selflessness, but who will carry mine? I softly laid my burden down to help him bear his. While knowing that my heavy load I’m not allowed to share. I’ll help him with his burden then, regain mine after a while, why, or when will I sigh and weep once more. While now I force a smile. I felt the chains of bondage till a captive came to me. He made me help him break the bands and aid him to be free.

I saw the feathers bind in him and felt a pity pain. For his were made of little ropes and mind of heavy chain. I laid aside my heavy chains so he my help could borrow. I’ll I’ll help free him of bondage now and think of mine tomorrow. A daughter knocked at steady door. I had an urge to groan. Why bring your pebble down to me when mine are made stone? I smiled at him and listened. While believing in my doubt, I laid it down reluctantly and feigned a happy shout.

I sat alone in darkened room and felt a shadow’s knife. Another came to share with me some darkness in his life. As I compared my night with his, his dart possessed a lack. For his was just an evening shade while mine was midnight black. I slowly laid my nighttime down to help him seek for light. I’ll tread my dimming path again when I have made his bright. A troubled soul came to my door, a problem to confide. I had a problem to that day.

It was hard for me to hide. My problem was a mountain steep. His was just a little hill. My problem was an ocean wide, and his a tiny real. Yet this my lot to fill his need and put mine on the shelf. For I must lay my heartache down and hide it from myself. He told me of a broken heart. While mine was breaking too. I told him of amending God, who makeeth all things new. He told me of his thirsty soul.

I gave him living water. He said he was a broken vase. I told him of the potter. Another came when I was sick to say he had the flu. His fever was 101. Mine was 102. Another came when I was faint to say that he was weak. Another came when I was dumb to say he could not speak. Another weeping seeker came for me his tears to dry. I went alone and wiped my eyes and told him not to cry.

Another came when I was tired to say he needed rest. I lifted him with my weary arms and tried to give him zest. Now it’s late and all have gone, each one to his abode. So I must find my problems, then regain my heavy load. Where’s the burden I had born? I had it a while ago. Where’s the problem I must solve? I left it here, I know. Where’s the darkness I once knew? I now see only light. The chains, the tears, the pains, the fears are nowhere now in sight.

I cannot find my broken heart. Where’s my fevered brow? I have a song, the tears are gone. I cannot find them now. My sickness now have turned to health and trust replaces fright. Assurance covers all my doubts. My darkness is now light. I heard a voice from heaven say, “‘My child is always true. “‘When you take care of others’ needs, “‘I’ll take care of you.'”

You get it? You’ll find out you’ll solve most of your problems when you get involved, helping people solve their problems. Because in most times the advice you give, the wisdom in your counsel, whatever you do, is exactly what you needed for yourself. You’d be surprised at some time the problem that I’m having, somebody else has the same problem. I’ve got to help them solve theirs. And in doing so, I wind up counseling myself at the same time. Anyway, I wanted to share that with you because see there is a cost, a price you have to pay.

And you wonder how in the world you’re going to get through certain things and everybody’s got problems. But you’ll read in the book of Galatians in chapter 6, talks about bear your own burdens. Then he talks about bear the burdens of others. In other words, you got your load and then somebody else has got a load and you try to help them care theirs and you’d be surprised. Lord, take care of some of those things in your own life you couldn’t take care of.

But just believe it. Don’t figure out how it works. Just do it. Just trust the Lord and stay busy. But look at this first statement here. In 2 Timothy 3, 12, all that will live was the Word. Godly. In Christ Jesus, what’s the next three words? Shall suffer persecution. If you live Godly, you’re going to be, you have people that are going to fault you. They’re going to blame you, gonna cut you, because by the very fact that if you serve the Lord, you are a natural rebuke to anyone who does not serve the Lord.

And so you might as well know, not everybody’s gonna love you. But you’ll know that there’s somebody in heaven that loves you. And sometimes that’s the only love you may get. So keep serving the Lord. Don’t stop. The next verse that we have here is in Luke chapter 14 where it says deny thyself. Now remember this, we all have the desires of the flesh, we have the desires of the Lord, two births. So the desires of the flesh are powerful and are strong.

If the desires of the Lord in your new birth are not strong enough then the desires of the all sinful nature will overpower. And if you want to be victorious and you can be, you’re the one that decides which desires do you want to fulfill. So you need the strength of the Lord to forsake the desires of the flesh. You’ve got to keep them under control. You cannot trust your all sinful nature. Remember the verse talked about in Jeremiah in chapter 17 when he He says, the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked and who can know it?

You can’t trust yourself. You trust the Lord. And that doesn’t matter whether I’m talking to you or if I’m talking to myself. I’ve got to watch myself all the days of my life. You realize how easy it is to get burning mad, the anger, lose your cool. Just put me in a car and somebody, well, anyway, we’ll forget that. But it’s so easy. It really is. Now, in 1 Corinthians 9, 27, talks about keeping my body under subjection, keeping it in control, because your body is a great tool, but it’s a poor master.

And if the desires of your body, your flesh, determine what you do, it’s gonna control you and you’re not gonna like the result. So you gotta stay close to the Lord so that you can control the lust of the flesh and so on. And this is true, every individual has to beware. Look at the next statement. Matthew 11.30 says, my yoke is what’s the word? Easy and my burden is, you see the difference between the one who is in rebellion and the one who served the Lord?

Because you see, when you serve the Lord, you’re not doing things for God, you’re doing things with God. When you’re doing them for God, you’re thinking it’s all on me. If I’m working with God and we’re co-labors with God, then we’re sharing the load. and I can trust Him to do what He’s supposed to do, and He’s trusted me to do what I can do. So all I have to do is what I can do. I never have to do anything that I can’t do.

It only makes sense. So the only way I will break down is if I overloaded myself. See, most people’s problems is self-inflicted. We do it to ourselves. So be wise. And 2nd Corinthians chapter four verse 17 says, for our light affliction, our light affliction, which is but for a moment. See, this period of time that God gives us to live, so far since I’ve been saved, God’s given me 57 and a half years. If I was to go home today, That is just a moment compared to eternity.

If I lived to be a hundred years old, that’s just a moment compared to eternity. And God says, you can endure anything for a short period of time. If you just take it one day at a time, grace for today is sufficient thereof. It’s whenever you borrow problems from the future or drag them up from the past, then it overloads you for the present. So learn to put your trust in the Lord and keep walking with the Lord and he’ll bless you.

But it says, working for us a far more exceeded any eternal weight of glory. See the things of this world that you fight for and want, you’re going to lose them. I mean, everything is going to be gone. Nothing in this world is going to last. It’s going to go up in smoke. God’s already told us that. So we’re just using all the advantages that God gives to us to be profitable so that we can have more when we get to heaven.

I don’t know why I would want to have more. All I want is I want all that God wants me to have. Is that wrong? For me to have, desire, strive, for everything God wants me to have. I don’t know what nor I’m gonna need a reward for, but if he wants to give me one, I don’t wanna, you know, bad mouth God to this, well, it’s not worth it, Lord. I mean, if you let me see what it is, and then I might do this.

No God says, take me, it’ll be worth it all. I’m just gonna take him at his word. I don’t have to see one reward. I don’t have to see one crown. I don’t have to hear that the praise, the honor, the glory, whatever it might be. I wanna serve the Lord regardless if I’d never get anything. Because you stop and think, look what he’s done for us. And now all I gotta do is just serve the Lord and thank him for all he’s done for me.

My whole life should be one big thank you to the Lord for saving my soul. Don’t you think so? If he never gave you anything else, but he does. He’s a good God. Look down here at the next one. I want you to take your Bible look in John chapter 15. John chapter 15, this is a very interesting course in the scripture, because it talks about a vine and branches and a gardener who clips off to all the dead stuff and so forth.

So he talks about if it doesn’t bear fruit, he cuts away some of the stuff so sack can get up to it and you can get some more fruit. And farmers do that. They prune their paratrois and apple trees and all those things, because they want to get more fruit. And then he makes a statement, if you want to have much fruit. And then we get up there to verse eight. He says, hearing is my father glorified that you bear much fruit, so shall you be my disciples.

You’re the one just to be found faithful, abiding in Christ, doing what God wants you to do, and just bear all the fruit that you possibly can bear. When all the ones that you can, Keep so inseeds, keep doing what God wants you to do. And you’ll be better off because of it. But let me tell you this. The cutting off of these branches, it’s just that in a Christian’s life, when you first get saved, it doesn’t change your life.

It can, with most people, they start growing a little bit by a little bit. And you see things in your life that, well, I cut that out because I’m gonna start doing this. And I wanna do this now, so I gotta leave that out. And I want to do this for the Lord, so I got to leave that up. And so you start cutting things out that you don’t really need to do anyway. But the more fruit, the more discipline.

A little discipline gets you a little fruit. More discipline gets you more fruit. Much discipline gets you much fruit. Now what do you want? But nobody can discipline your life. I mean, it’s an inside job. Discipline yourself to where I want much fruit, much discipline. It means that you have really got a trend down and not do like maybe you won’t get to live the life that everybody else lives. You’re gonna sacrifice for somebody else won’t sacrifice. I’ve made up decisions in my own life of things I will and will not do and where I will and will not go, things I will and will not say because I wanna bear much fruit.

And I think it’s worth it. Look at the next one down here. Second Corinthians five and verse 10 says that every man may receive the things done in the body, according to that he hath done. So may receive. So that means there’s some things you’re not going to receive that you could have received. It must be something awesome because God wouldn’t waste his time. I don’t think God would give me an empty box. I use that phrase this recently about an empty box.

You don’t sell people an empty box. And I don’t believe God’s gonna sell us an empty box. You do this for you. We open it up. Can’t wait. Oh, and there’s nothing in it. Do you think God’s gonna do that to us? I think when we get to heaven and we open up some of our little presents that we’re going to have. I don’t know what’s it gonna be? But I know this. We’re gonna be so glad that we did do what we did.

But I think it’s also gonna be a lot of sorrow. we didn’t do all that we could have done. And there’s a song that all sometimes the song I wish I had given him more. I think we’ve sung that here. I don’t know. I wish I had given him more. That’s a beautiful song. Jesse, you are, y’all don’t get that song and sing it one of the times. I like that song. Sing it again. I like that song. Alright Matthew chapter 6 and verse 20 says, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, or thieves do not break through North deal.

All this is to give you a little discernment about should I or should I not? Is it worth it? Because if you want to serve the Lord, you’re going to have to give up something in the world. And if you don’t want to serve the Lord and you want to serve, it’s going to cost you a lot more than you ever dreamed. And that heaven is the lack of joy of salvation, sit on the shelf and later on when you get older like I am now you’re gonna wish you had given him more.

You’re gonna wish you had given him all because you know you run out of time. Then you’re gonna be cramming for exams and trying to do is make up, trying to make up. Servilors, I just wish somebody had led me to the Lord when I was just a little kid so I went to waste it even 10 years. I regret that I’ve wasted some of those years, 18 years old and I finally trust the Lord. But somebody could have reached me when I was a little younger.

Maybe I could have learned a little bit more and made a little bit more wiser decisions. I don’t know, but I thank the Lord for the man who did win me to the Lord. Now down at the bottom of the page we covered this year last week, but I want you to look at it one more time. It’s a very good verse. If any man served me, let him follow me. And where I am, there you may also, my servant be.

If any man served me, Him were my Father, honor. But you know, whenever Jesus was here and He sold those guys, you want to be fishers of men, follow me? He was literally a teacher that did not have a building that he called this is Jesus’ sanctuary Bible study. He traveled, he walked, and people would follow him, and he would teach them, and so forth as they went. And he says, the Son of Man, half not place to lay his head.

I mean, there was not a Ramada inn. Now, all this, they got to stay at the holiday inn and things like that. They didn’t ride around in the car. They walked wherever they went. And so, he says, follow me. Literally, he meant follow me. And they would follow, and they’d listen to him teach, and they learned. But they didn’t go to a place and stay there for three and a half years. But we tried to get people, at least three and a half years into Bible.

I mean, we’re not as as good as teachers as Jesus was, but we’re telling you what he said. So it’s very important, but look at the last part of this verse. That he says, If any man served me, him will my father honor. Don’t you want that, don’t you desire that, but you’ve got to keep tabs on yourself for what you’re doing now. An unexamined life isn’t worth living. Examine yourself. Is there areas in your life that you need to cut out?

I mean, some of those dead branches stuff that you need to be do some pruning in your life and much discipline Much fruit and I wanted to win as many as I can and Sometimes I said in my office and I feel like man. I feel like it wasted my whole life Because I’ll get a note from somebody into somebody in the and it’s just the opposite of picking me up and encouraging me And I find out that this happened that happens that happens right and it can just break your heart I think was that worth it.

When I took those kids down to camp, 2,100 miles, and we got them after they dedicated the life to the Lord and got them on the other side of Atlanta, Georgia, and I find out that 15 of them had ripped off the last store. This was after they heard the Jim Tingen store and they dedicated the life to the Lord and they gave glowing testimonies and they couldn’t even make it back to Colorado. I was ready to just, the parents come and get your kid, I’m out of here.

I thought, is this worth it? all these problem kids, these problems, what are they problems? Some of those kids are serving the Lord now in full time. Yeah, they’re worth it. If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t serve God. You’re gonna get hurt, but you can’t let the hurt keep you from serving God. Because people will hurt you, things will hurt you, and you’re gonna be misunderstood. And I have been slammed, I have been knifed, I’ve had it.

But the Lord has gotta mean more to you than anything else that anybody can say or do. I hope that that makes sense to you. Look up here. This end represents you and me. You realize that we’ve had a bunch of people in the last few days, Trust Crisis Savior, to the Internet. I don’t know if y’all are seeing the notes and the notes. That is so awesome. And some of the letters that I’ve gotten, I’ve gotten some of them today and they asked me questions.

I didn’t send, I think I sent one to Jesse, I’m not real sure. I think I sent a couple to y’all. They got questions and they need answers. I need somebody for time just to sit and do nothing but just answer the request online. But you’ve got to really have a good working knowledge of the Bible to do it because some of these questions are good. I mean they’re hard to explain. That’s why I went in hard ones. I send it to these guys.

I take the easy ones. But this hand represents you and me and all represents sin. We all have sin on us. God loves us. hates our sin, but he loves us. And for us to pay for this sin is eternal separation from God in hell. There is a hell. I believe there is a hell. I also believe there is a heaven. But to go to heaven, you have to be perfect as righteous as God. And none of us are perfect.

Because we’ve all sinned, the way to sin is death, we’re all going to be condemned. But we’re already condemned. But God says you can’t save yourself. This sin represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. Came into the world because he loves us. hates our sin because our sin separates us from Him. So Christ, who had no sin didn’t have to die, He took all of our sins, paid for it on the cross and came back from the dead.

He said that whosoever believe it in Him, believes that He did this for them, paid for their sins. He puts that payment to your account and you get to go to heaven on what Christ did for you. He says, if you’ll believe it, you can know that you have eternal life. Can you know you have eternal life? Yes. When can you know you have eternal life? six months later, two years later, he that hath the Son hath life. And these things are by written to you that believe.

So when you believe, is it okay to know you have eternal life? That moment. Anyway, pray for the ministry here and all the workers and for ranch tomorrow night, and pray for the people that watch on the YouTube and all the work has been done. Let’s pray, shall we? With his bound eyes closed, no one looking around if you’re here tonight, You’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior. Would you trust Him right now? Would you believe that when Christ died, He died for you.

He loves you that much. He wants you to go to heaven, but you can’t go to heaven except through Jesus Christ. If you’re watching my internet right on the screen and says, yes, I’ll trust Christ as my Savior. If you’ve never done so, I pray that you will. Do it right now. Father, we thank you again for your blessings. Thank you for all you’ve done for us. We’re thankful that we can know these things and you’re giving us a choice.

The survey or not the servium. You don’t make us do either one, but there’s great rewards and great benefits if we serve you. And we also know that you’ll chase in the discipline us if we don’t. But Father, I pray that we would be wise, redeem the time. We thank you for the ministry you’ve given us for all the things that are being done and pray for the ranch meeting tomorrow night with Jesse and Father, they can bring those new kids and have many of them trust your savior.

and we truly pray for Him a good day on Sunday. Thank you for all you do for us. For each person here in Christ’s name we pray. Are you a new listener to Bibleline?
