We pray that you will enjoy our commitment to the clear gospel of Jesus Christ, and that today’s concluding message of this teaching will be a blessing to you and your family.

I want you to take your Bible-looking Ephesians in chapter 3, the Book of Ephesians, chapter three. So simple verse, most of you know the verse. But he makes a statement in chapter three and verse 15, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. See, part of our family is in heaven, part of our family is on earth. He said that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his power in the inner man.

Talking to his children, those who trust the Christ to save you, you’re in the family of God. He says that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that ye being rooted and grounded in love. Now, it is the will of God that all of his children be rooted and grounded in the Word of God. In other words, know the Scriptures well. know what you believe, why you believe it. And the majority of Christians I don’t believe know that.

They may trust Christ as Savior and then they learn a little Sunday school lesson here and there and they know a few little stories into Bible, David and Goliath and Daniel and Dan and that. They know a few stories but they don’t know the Bible because when you know the Bible and you really know it, it will change your life and you don’t know the Bible until the Bible controls your life. So look what he says here, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and the length and the depth and the height and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now when he’s talking about you learning and growing and knowing this and so on, all these wonderful things, it’s about loving God the way God supposed to be loved. And loving others the way they’re supposed to be loved. Those two things God says all the laws are filled in one word in love. And that’s the hardest thing we have to deal with. You know, it would be wonderful if the politicians all talked about how we should love one another.

and right now they try to spear as much hate as they possibly can against each other. Look in verse 20, now unto him that is able to do. You see, Christ was here, did all those miracles, and you find out many of the things that he did in the Old Testament, but he didn’t do it all the time for everybody. There were just certain times. But here he got a verse for God’s children who who are living on planet Earth, and this is after those times.

And he says, now unto him, that is able to do exceeding me abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Then he says in verse 21, unto him be glory in the church. So what he wants to do in verse 20 is to those that are in the church, which is the family of God. are the ones that he’s talking about, you have not seen. You haven’t thought about all the things that God can do for you and through you if you only knew, if you don’t trust.

So that’s why I want these things to make a difference in your life. You see there number one we talk about salvation. He is Lord of salvation. Lord, He has the authority and He has the power to save whosoever believe it in Him. He that believe it in Him hath everlasting life, the very moment that you believe. He has that power. That’s why I said, who’s sure of it? Call upon the name of the Lord. And then in John 1 12, but his minis, believe on him, the them gave, he the power become the sons of God, even to them who believe on his name.

There is power and authority that’s given there for you and I to know whenever we trust Christ is our Savior, he, the one we’re trusting, has the power to save us. And he saves us from something to something he can save us forever and ever. And he has the power. as he says in 1 Peter chapter 1 and verse 4 and 5, that you’re kept by the power of God. He has the power to save us, He has the power to keep you saved.

You didn’t have power to save yourself and you don’t have power to keep yourself saved. But He does because that’s who He is and that’s what He does. And whenever they said, no, the Philippian jailer, what must I do to be saved? They said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s who He is. That’s not a commitment to serve that is a decision to trust Him as your Savior. And trusting Him to save me is a lot of difference than me promising how I’m going to live.

After we trusted Christ as our Savior, yes, we should serve the Lord. Nobody should have a problem with that. Now, I want you to look there in in the book of Mark chapter 5. The book of Mark, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, but Mark and chapter 5. There’s several things that are mentioned in the fifth chapter, about three different things, miracles that were given, but I’m not gonna cover all of them, just maybe a couple of them. But in chapter 5 of the book of Mark, remember Jesus has the power over the demon world.

and there’s an illustration of what he did. You see there in verse 1 of chapter 5 and there came over unto the other side, they came over to the other side of the sea and to the country of the Gatorines, and when he was come out of the ship immediately there met him out of the tombs, a man with an unclean spirit who had his dwelling among the tombs and no man could bind him. No, not with chains, because that he had that often bound with fetters and chains and the chains had been plucked to sonned her by him and the fetters broken in pieces.

Neither could any man tame him. And always day and night. He was in the mountains and in the tombs crying and cutting himself with stones. It’s amazing what the devil can do to you, little old demons. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him and cried with a loud voice. Said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou son of the most high God. I adore thee by God that thou torment me not. These are demons that are living inside of a man.

He said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? He answered and said, My name is legion for we are many. So they sought them to go into the, and so they went into the swine. And the swine, well, I guess you could find out where devils ham came from. They all ran into the sea and drowned. A couple thousand of them. But they went looking for the man and he says in verse 15, and they came to see Jesus and And see him that was possessed with the devil and had the Legion sitting, clothes, and in his right mind.

Didn’t that good? He was naked before now he’s closing in his right mind. I still question people who want to run around naked. I don’t think you’re in the right mind. But they said this shenan in verse 19, he said, I want to go with you. Jesus says, how bid Jesus permitted him not, suffered him not. But sit at him, go home to thy friends and tell them how great things they and you ought to underline that one little word.

The Lord have done for thee and have had compassion on thee. You go back and tell you, you know the best people to reach for the Lord is right after you trust Christ to save you as your family. Go reach your family. That’s the first thing I had in my mind. I didn’t care about the world. I’m going to reach my mom and my dad, my brothers, my sisters and everybody that I knew like that. I wanted them to have eternal life.

But he has this power. Also, you’ll notice as another one this mentioned here, he has also power over the Z. See there in verse 25? And a certain woman which had an issue of blood twelve years and had suffered many things, of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was nothing better. That sounds like… Obama cared, don’t it? Well, I shouldn’t have said that. I just, I mean, you raise that. This is similar to a doctor’s date.

You go to the doctors and pay all that money and then they experiment on you. Well, try this. Oh, that didn’t work. Oh, well, try this. Well, that didn’t work. Well, did. Well, let’s try this. This like a let’s try and see game. And if you take this medicine, you’ll get well in two weeks. And if you don’t, it’s gonna take 14 days. And you wonder, what am I supposed to do? spending all this money for. Don’t you think you ought to go to the doctor and the doctor, he went to school.

Tell me what’s wrong with me. Well, first of all, tell me all of your symptoms. Never heard that before. And let’s try a little of this and a little of that and a little less. And it doesn’t matter how much money you have to spend. It ain’t costing him anything. And then you pay him if it doesn’t work. I got an idea. Next time you go outside, you look in the back of my car and you’ll say, has Dr.

Yang, you come see me. I’ll say, take these two verses, call me tomorrow, that’ll be $50 please. Maybe you think it’ll work if I charge you for it. You know, it’s gotta be worth something. But she had spent it all. And when she had heard of Jesus came in the press behind and touched his garment. And she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway, the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Jesus immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned about into the, who touched my clothes? And his, no, I can’t tell when somebody touched my clothes. I mean, unless they hit me, you know, or something like that, or really not me. But says, who touched me? And his disciples said to him, d’Icy is the multitude, throng in thee, and sayest thou who touched me? She touched him with faith. She touched him by her faith. She believed something.

If I could just touch the hem of his garment, I would be well. And she did. And so the Lord says, go in peace in verse 34. Now, it’s wonderful to know that Jesus has that kind of power. But see, whenever we talk about some of the problems we have, and you’d be surprised how many people can get sick, and we get sick. people just talk to take all the time. But let me ask you this, is the doctor the first one you think of?

The prescription, the medicine, the hospital, or is the Lord the last thing you think of? Think of the Lord first and go to the Lord and ask the Lord to do some things, the intervene. You’d be surprised. Does he have the power to do? Is he able to do it? We say we believe in a miracle working God. Well, he is a miracle working God. My salvation is a miracle because it could not have been done by the flesh.

I could not produce it. God can do a miracle and he already did. So if he can do that miracle, maybe there’s a few more he can do in my life. You’d be surprised how much God has supervised in your life and watched over you and allows you to live as long as you have. You’d be surprised how many sicknesses you could have already been delivered from and how many accidents you’ve been delivered from. And how many times your wife was going to shoot you and she didn’t.

It was all kind of things God has done wonderful things for us so understand so he can work and with the disease. Look in John chapter 6, the Gospel of John in chapter 6. John chapter six, you know, is a chapter about the feeding of the 5,000. And to know that he has power over the elements, to take what you have and multiply it, I don’t understand how God does certain things. And sometimes I don’t see how he has got me through some of the dry spells that I’ve had, where I don’t see how I got, had enough money to do what I’ve done.

And it seems like it was all gone, but I keep somehow miraculously have kept going and I built me a home up in Georgia. And I had some money to start but I didn’t have enough money to finish. So it’s set for over a year and a half or so cause I didn’t have enough money to put in more plywood on it. I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t even afford paint. And so I had to wait and somehow other after five, it got done and my house was totally done and it’s totally paid for, but it took me five years to build my house.

But I don’t see how, if I sit down and figure it out, how in the world did I, I haven’t figured out how I knew how to build a house. Why? I never built a house before. I did not have any blueprints. I had them up here. And I drew a few of them on a piece of paper and a napkin, but to build a whole house, my little self. And I started when I was 55 years old. Because I got to thinking self, something happens to you.

What’s better you gonna do? We were living in a And so if we’re living in a personage and if I die, they might kick her up. Now what’s she going to do Nicotine? And she’d have no place to live. So I never even thought about having our own thing until I’m about 55 years old. And I thought, you know, it’s about time I started thinking about this. And so I did. And so little by little, God helped us to find used block.

And if we wanted to put down a hardwood floor in our living room kitchen and dining room, in your room. We didn’t have the money to buy it. We can go to a place and buy all that. So we found a couple of carpet shops and they had a few little pile and Betty found some of them. Then we went to another place and found a little bit. We went to another place, found a little bit and I went to a couple of flea market, found a little bit and we got a fool of you know we had enough to do our whole floor and Betty would pick out the colors that she wanted.

I mean I put my own hammer on that thing and I had to pound it and put knows nails in it and we did our own floral bile lonesome. And if we wanted some sheet rock put up there and everything we could buy is seconds or whatever it could do. And I’m sending up her three scaffolds high and Trina and Betty down there pushing up four by eight sheet rock and I’m putting it in between the big beans that I’ve got.

I’m holding it on my head and I’m trying to run an electric drill with the screw in and trying to hit it to write a spot. We worked ourselves to that, but no, we did it. I hadn’t done it before, but we did it. And God can give you strength or wisdom or anything like that. To me, that’s a miracle. This old dumb Georgia boy and God used him for something. And that’s why every time I go, I still, I stand amazed in the presence of this old house that I built.

I don’t think it’s on, goes quite like that, but you’ll get the idea. So here in the book of John, he says this in one of the questions, look in verse 5, when Jesus then lifted up his eyes and saw a great multitude come unto him, he said unto Philip, which shall we buy bread that these may eat? And this he said to prove him, for he knew himself what he was going to do. He already knew what he’s going to do.

But he asked, and he knew that Philip didn’t have a clue. He says, there’s one little lad here, and he’s got a couple of this and a little got a little bit of that. He said, but what’s that among so many? It’s not enough. Can God miraculously take what you have and multiply it? You see, I believe this. It doesn’t matter so much as what you start with is believing that every person has potential. Every teenager has potential. I mean, everybody’s got potential.

And so what I try to do is just water them with a little faith. Teach them a little faith. You’d be surprised what God can do with you if you just have a little faith. And so I believe personally that since Jesse has come along, I think we just watered him a little bit and a little faith. And he grew up and next thing you know, he can, I think he’s going to make a great preacher one day. I think Peter over here, I thought he might have been very limited at one time, but God has given him wisdom above his years that he can do so many different things.

People stand amazed that all the things he does, you know, all this food that he does, I have to be honest, I can boil water, but that’s about the limit. That’s my wife. I don’t cook meals. I don’t do none of that stuff. But I am amazed at those who are able to do some of them. And God can work little miracles in people’s lives. And also by their faith in the Lord, they gain confidence and they try other things and they gain skills and so forth.

See God is working in your life. And well, you may not see that He’s working. And just believe that He is. You see, you can’t see a little baby grow. Watch them grow. It takes time. who hasn’t seen him for a while looks at him and then jobs growing. That’s happening in your life. You’re growing in your faith and you’re getting stronger. You’re learning some skills. You’re trying things. You’re getting more involved. That’s that’s a miracle that you can even do anything for the Lord.

God loves us. Now, he goes down through here and by the time he got through everybody got filled and there was about 12 baskets left over. So is God in charge? Can he do things with the elements of the world, yes? The Lord over nature. Story of a tree. Jesus goes by me once he gets some figs, there’s no fig. So he put a curse on the tree and the tree withered. They came back by the tree and we withered up.

And some people would get bad and some people would say, you see there Jesus, he got mad and angry and he took out his anger on a poor low green tree. You didn’t get the point. The tree withered. He has some power you don’t have. You try it. See how well you can do. But whether it’s over the nature, the things that are happening, and you know the story about how he calmed the storm and calmed the waves. He can do all of those things.

These stories are for a reason. He can control. He has power. He can suspend. He can work miracles. And he tells us, cast all your cares upon him for he cares for you. Well, I don’t know if he can do anything about this. This is really big. This is a really big problem. Do you think you have problems that are too big for God to do anything about? Don’t try to embarrass God by thanking God. This is too big for you.

You understand? I mean, this is over your head. Or to think your problems are so small he can’t do anything about those either. You know, they’re so small, I don’t want to bother him with that. He says, cast all your care, pray about everything. So should God’s children take their things and look, don’t you realize who He is? He’s not just someone who paid for our sins on the cross and he went up there and now he’s retired. He has retired and he’s not doing anything anymore.

He’s not on the clock anymore. Well, I’ve kept him on the clock since I’ve been serving the Lord, trying to keep him busy providing for me, watching over me. He’s had to send angels one after the other and they keep putting in for transfers. But the Word of God is so good. Look at the next statement and Matthew about the fish. They came and told Peter, you know, hey, you got to pay your tax. He said, we’re talking maybe the temple tax.

But the temple tax, yes. But he told Peter, he says, you’re good, I here to the lake and you catch a fish. The first fish you catch, now open his mouth and there’ll be a coin in there and that’ll be enough for me and you. Now isn’t that nice to know? Somebody who can control that has power over that. Who knows where the fish is, knows where the coin is, knows how to solve a problem. See there was a problem.

Pete thought he had a problem. You see it, there’s not a big problem if you’ve got a solution to the problem. We break down and fall apart because we don’t have a solution to the problems because there’s things that we cannot stop. Now, let me just kind of give you a little tidbit about what I’m thinking about for Wednesday night.

Almost all of our real, real trouble and problem in life that causes all of our fear and our dread and our just almost everything it deals with, we are afraid to die. We’re afraid to die. That’s That’s one of the fears of growing old. Why? Because you know what’s next. You’re going to die. If you were not afraid to die, you could live a happier life. But we are afraid of death. So anyway, I want to cover that. But now look down at the last thing I have here.

He is lowered over life. Remember, God is life. And He gave to His Son the eternal life and then Christ can give eternal life to us. And that’s why he says in the book of 1 John and chapter 5, this is the true God and eternal life. And he that hath the son half life, and he that hath not the son of God half not life. So whether you have life or not, depending on whether you have the son or not, because if you got the son, you got life, got it?

This is why he can say, look, these things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. Can you know you have eternal life? Yes, you can know it. Because Jesus Christ is eternal life. And when you accept Christ as your Savior, you are accepting the free gift of everlasting life. You didn’t pay to get him. He is your eternal proof of payment. He is your eternal life.

And the Bible says, he doesn’t believe with him. He hath everlasting life. So when you believe it, you have everlasting life. He has all the authority, He has the power to do what you’re trusting Him to do. Our security rests in His ability to keep His Word. He said, if I trust Him, He would save me. He said, if I trust Him, He’d give me eternal life. He said, if I trust Him, that payment would be put to my account.

If I trust Him, well, okay, I trust Him. Can He fulfill His promise? Can He keep His Word? Yes, He can. Look up here. This end represents you and me. The wall of represents sin. We all have sin on us, but God, He loves us, but He hates our sin. And for us to pay for sin is eternal, separation from God in a literal fire burning hell. We all need to be saved from hell. But you see, we can’t go to heaven because of sin.

So we got to get rid of sin. Well, you got to pay for that. So everybody’s condemned. And God says, you cannot save yourself. This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. He came into the world because he loves us. He hates our sin because it separates us from him. So Jesus Christ who had no sin didn’t have to die. So he took all the sin of all the world, paid for it only to cross and came back from the dead.

And he said, if we would believe that he did it for us, he’d put that payment that he made to our account, give us as a free gift everlasting life. And we get to go to heaven on what he did He said, whosoever believes hath everlasting life. So does he have the authority, the power to do what he promised that he would do? If you trust him as the Savior, can he save you? And does he give you eternal life?

Does he keep his word? You don’t have any reason to fear. And if you can trust the Lord for the gift of eternal life to keep you out of hell, take you to heaven, In this short period of life that we have, can’t you trust Him in every other area? You can, but I’ll speak on that Wednesday night. Let’s pray, shall we? With heads bowed nice and closed, no one looking around. I know that most of you here have seen you so many times.

I know that you heard me speak and give the gospel, but I really don’t know inwardly if you you have really ever trusted Christ to save you. I pray so. But if you’re watching also by internet, right on the screen says, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior. If you’ve never done so, I pray that you would do it right now. And if you trust Him right now, He saves you right now and gives you eternal life. And you can take Him at His Word.

He keeps His Word. But if you’re here in the auditorium tonight and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you trust Him right now? You know, a person be itful to turn down a free give. There’s no gimmick to this. No tricks to it. God knows who you are, knows where you are, and he loves you, and he wants to give you eternal life. Would you accept it? Would you accept the free gift of eternal life? He walked right up to you right where you’re sitting in that pew and offered you eternal life as a gift.

Would you accept it or would you reject it? I pray that you’d accept it. And if you will accept it, I’d like to know and I’d like to have prayer for you. not going to have you stand up, not going to embarrass you, not going to have you forward. But right where you’re sitting, I’d like to know what I’ve said, made sense. And you say, preacher, that made sense to me, and I’ll trust Christ as my Savior tonight. Would you just let me know by slipping you in real quick and put it right back down?

Is there anyone at all? Our Father, we thank you again now for your blessings. Thank you for what you’ve taught us in your Word and help us to know that you’re not just somebody who can save us from hell and give us eternal life. You have all power. You have the authority. And you promise in your words what you can. You can do for us. And help us to have confidence in you. To walk with you and to trust you.

And not to be afraid. In Christ’s name we pray. Are you a new listener to Bibleline? Do you enjoy the teachings of Dr. Arnold?
