Look at the next statement. 10 men regretted the decision as to what they would believe. You see, in the book of Numbers, and we won’t take the time to look at all these verses because we could, but let me just kind of tell you about it. You see, the Lord had used Moses to bring these children of Israel, about two million across from the Red Sea, from Egypt into the wilderness. And they came to a place called Kedis Barnia, about 11 days journey from where they were into the promised land.

So they sinned in 12 spies, one from each of the tribes, they went into the land. So they went into the land and they came back and they had a big old pole between two of them just to carry a clump of grapes. They were so big. And it says the fruit there is unreal. They marvel over it. But 10 of them had a bad report. In other words, this bad report, this evil report was fake news. You’ve ever heard of fake news before?

In other words, it’s not the truth, but it causes people to get stirred up inside. We have people doing a little bit of that in our lifetime, don’t they? And it’s not true at all, but everybody is enraged. Enraged about what? They don’t even know. Most of it’s nothing but a show. It’s a night. They’re actors. But anyway, we’re not talking about government today. So 10 came back and they gave an evil report, and this evil report turned the hearts of the peoples.

We can’t take it. They said there’s giants in the land. We’re like little grasshoppers and they’re big. The Children of Anecdot, these giants in the land, and we can’t do it. We can’t do it. But God has already promised them. I’m going to give you that land. See the battle was the Lord’s. It said they took their eyes off the Lord. And did that decision cause any problem? I mean, it’s no big decision. We just don’t believe that we can do it.

Well all of them died in the wilderness and God raised up another bunch. They go into the land. Two people that did believe it would, Joshua and Caleb, did they get to go into the land? And this is an amazing how many of those people died and others lived and they go into the land just like God promised. Whether you live or whether you die, a lock can depend upon the decisions that you make. Do you think those tendets said, would the God we had died in the wilderness?

Guess what? They did. They got exactly what they asked for. Do you think they could have lived to regret that decision they made that day? When they came back with the lie and deceive the people because they had no confidence and trust in the Lord and look at the price they had to pay. Their punishment greater than what they can bear. And you’d be surprised. I mean, if God’s people go through the same thing, it’s greater than I can bear.

Really? Have you ever heard of a verse called cast? Your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you? What are you bearing? Did you cast that on the Lord? Well, I don’t believe He can do anything about it. I don’t believe He cares. No, then you care it yourself until it weighs you down like a yoke of iron and it destroys you. Yeah, that’ll happen. Look down at this verse, I want you to see this. Where it says, fake news, but the men that went up with Him said, we be not able.

It didn’t depend on them. It depended upon God. They couldn’t do it, but God could have done it. And God eventually, 40 years later, caused them to go into the land and they were able to take the land. And God did it. Look at the next verse there. Thus saith the Lord thy redeemer the holy one of Israel, I am the Lord thy God, which God unlineeth, teaches thee to profit, which leadeth thee in the way that thou should have go.

See, there’s a way God wants his children to go, and there’s a way God’s children want to go. You have a conflict. Now, either you can obey God and win or go against God and lose, but you will live to regret your disobedience. You cannot win. I hope I’m clear on this. Because I have to watchREF people who suffer the consequences of those decisions that they didn’t have to make it that way It’s just that they lost Site of who they are Where are they going when they died?

Why they’re here and trust your heavenly Father your heavenly Father loves you enough to Chasing you and tell you know you can’t have that and you can’t do that He said, but don’t quit just because I told you no. And a lot of people who get to the place where they just quit, not going to serve God, not going to walk away. Why? Your heavenly Father has never done you wrong. He’s never done you wrong and never will. page two, page two, moving right along.

King Saul, when thou was little in thine own eyes, he humbled himself to God, and God used him to be the first king of Israel. What a wonderful story. But he regretted his decision to visit a witch. I’m not talking about who you’re married to. Don’t miss understand. He’s not talking about his wife. the womb of the witch of Endor, those who had familiar spirits. And you see, it had gotten to the place where Saul would not listen to the Lord.

And so because he would not obey the Lord, Samuel stopped talking and telling him what God said. He said, well, what would his God say? Well, where’s Samuel? He’s not here. Oh, he’s dead. So Samuel, I got to get him. I got to find out what God wants me to do because if the Philisticians are coming and they’re going to do us bad, and I need to know what’s going to happen tomorrow. He had a problem. He was told you do not go and see information about the future from familiar spirits, you know, sitting around the table and holding hands, kind of conjure up the dead and all that.

You just remember this. Evil spirits can mimic and copy anything you’ve ever known or read thought about or thought about with any of your, who this is your Ansusi. Well, remember they knew Ansusi, and they know all about Ansusi. And they can tell you things about Ansusi that, huh, how did she know that? Don’t you read the Bible? And you will know what evil spirits can do. But anyway, there was a curse put upon it, and they were eliminated by the land.

land. And so, but Saul had gotten to the place where he had done, rebelled against the Lord and went his own way and tried to kill David. And so, God, that’s nothing you but. He said, I want you to go kill the Amalekites. And he went and he didn’t kill them all. And he told Samuel, when he said, I’m walking up here with death, he said, did you obey the voice of the Lord? I did. He says, then what meaning of the bleeding of the sheep that I hear in mine here.

All those, we kept those as sacrifice to the Lord. Is that what God told you to do? Well no, but we did it for the Lord. Why didn’t you kill all of the people? Well, the people didn’t want me to do that. Blame, blame, blame. But he was the king and he was responsible. And so Samuel, well, he just goes over there and he sees this egg egg, the malachate, and took out a sword and cut him up. Surely the bitterness has passed.

Yeah, you’re right. He was the first Zorro. So now Sam will, well he died. Well, she goes to the witch and she’s supposed to conjure up. Samuel shows up and she’s scared to death. He said, I want to know the future. He said, well, you and your son are going to be with me tomorrow. What? You and your son, Jonathan? Y’all gonna be with me tomorrow. He’s dead. Isn’t that good news? Do you really want to know what’s gonna happen tomorrow?

Really? Aren’t you glad that God doesn’t tell us everything? Makes every day exciting. Can’t wait till tomorrow to find out what happens, right? Makes it interesting. Makes you want to get up in the morning. You wake up in the morning. Well, I’m alive today. But you see, rejected from being the king. Now his salvation, that’s not touched. His destiny, that’s not changed. It’s just he rejected from being the king and he died because of his disobedience to God on those two occasions.

One, because he went to a witch, which he was forbidden to do, and then he rejected the word of the Lord. So God says, I have rejected you from being king. Do you think he lived to regret that decision? But you see, it was coming for a while. You could see it coming. It didn’t just all of a sudden happen. No, there was a decision he was making in advance in the jealousy that he had because of King David.

And he didn’t want David to come in there and play some soft, gentle music. It’s kind of like, you know, we want to drive down the road and we want to listen to some music. that’s good, gets your mind off of whatever might be bothering you. And some people, they can do it, music, and other people can do it with alcohol, and some people can do it with shooting drugs, whatever it is to run and escape so that you can deal with it, because it’s just more than I can bear.

Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. Why not as a child of God, why don’t you just go ahead and love your heavenly Father and seek to place Him, and and let him tell you what to do and not to do. If you let God make all your decisions, it takes away the stress, the pressure. I’m just gonna do whatever God says. And then however God moves in my life, I can accept that, whatever God wants. And you’ll be surprised the tension that can go out of your life.

You see, most people’s problems is they cause them. They cause themselves nervous breakdowns. It’s just like I said at times, I guess, you know, I just can’t do without my coffee in the morning. So soon I get my cup of coffee and I say, all right, look at the next statement. The third scripture down and Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee, for thou hath rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord hath rejected thee from being king, not salvation, salvation is never can be rejected or taken away.

Once you’re his child, you’re his child forever. And the reason God chastens you because you’re still his child. You see, when you sin and you’re, okay, now you’re no longer God’s child. Well, then he can’t change. You’re right because you’re not his child, but you’re still his child. And he still loves you. And he chases you because he does care about you. And the Holy Spirit lives within you. And you know, the Holy Spirit can tell the father everything on you.

So nobody will ever know. Well, what are you going to do with the Holy Spirit? He lives inside of you. Do you know him and father that they talked? You see, everything that we have in our life is open to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do in the book of Hebrews in chapter 4 verses 12 and 13. Look at the next statement, you see that, because thou obeyest not the voice of the Lord nor executed his fears wrath upon amalek, dear Malachites, therefore has the Lord done this thing unto thee this day.

the Lord did this to you this day. You see, there is this day that we live and there’s a thing that can happen because of decisions we’ve already made. But the very next verse says, more over the Lord will also declare Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistine, deliver thee into the hand of the Philistine. And tomorrow shall thou and thy sons be with me. The Lord also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hands of the Philistine.

You know why he went to the witch? Because he wanted to know what was gonna happen in the future. You’ll know what’s gonna happen in the future, read the Bible. And you’ll notice, whether it’s today or down the road, you can’t go against God and win. You’ll live to regret it. When you and I stand at the judgment seat of Christ, you see, everyone has to give an account of himself to the Lord. So one day, we’ll stand before the Lord and give an account to God.

And there’s a good possibility when he makes the statement, he said, and be not ashamed before him at his coming. In other words, having regrets that you did not say do or go where God wanted you to go and to do and to be while you were here. And when you stand at the Japanese city of Christ and you see all that hay, wooden stubble all being burned up, I believe a lot of God’s children are going to have regrets.

So, don’t add to it. Determine in your mind from this day forward, I don’t want to live and regret. I want to do what God wants me to do. I want to be an obedient child. Because if you’re not an obedient child, you should understand your heavenly Father is going to chase in you. You cannot escape. You can’t get away with it. You can’t talk him out of it. You sow wild oats. You want to reap wild oats? Time to road.

Some people saw a wild ocean pray for a crop failure. Hope it doesn’t happen, hope it doesn’t happen, hope it doesn’t happen. That alone is tormenting you because you don’t have the confidence God’s gonna bless you like you really wanna be blessed. You can’t, you don’t know if, what moment is God’s gonna lower the boom on me? You say, I don’t wanna live in fear. You better straighten up and fly right then. Look at the next statement. The rich young ruler regretted his decision to walk away from the Lord.

I want you to take your Bible and turn there. The book of Matthew chapter 19, Matthew and chapter 19. Now, there’s a lot of scriptures in the Bible and stories that we could look at where all of this is mentioned. They agrees with what principle I’m talking to you about right now. But now notice what it says here in Matthew chapter 19. Matthew 19, you’ll notice in verse 16. And behold, one came and said unto him, good master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?

So the question is, is what do I have to do to have eternal life, to inherit eternal life? All right, now look over here just a little bit further because I want you to see this first of all. When they made the statement here in verse 25, when his disciples heard his answer, They were exceedingly amazed saying, who then can be saved? So whatever his answer was that caused him to say this must be something that was so hard and so difficult, who can be saved?

It must be impossible. So he says in verse 26, But Jesus beheld them and said to them, with men this is impossible, but with God what? All things are possible. What must I do? What must, what good thing do I have to do to have an eternal life? And Jesus just simply said, you know, just be perfect. Now he already knew that this man was rich and he knew that he was young and he knew that he was a ruler.

So it’s quite called the story of the rich young ruler. That makes sense doesn’t it? So you notice, he says in verse 17, he said to him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one. That is God. But if thou will enter into life, keep the commandments. In other words, he wanted to know what does he have to do to inherit eternal life. Remember, you have to be a child of God to inherit what the Father has.

He’s not a child of God. He doesn’t inherit eternal life. So I believe he is a lost man. Some people teach that he is a Christian. No, I don’t believe that. He says, thou shalt do no murder, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, unto thy father and thy mother and thy shalt love thy neighbor as thy sub.” All right, number one, he said, I’ve done that all my life. Do you really believe that you have loved the Lord all your life the way you’re supposed to?

Will that fail? Thou shalt not covet. Have you ever coveted? How many times would you have to do this to do right to make it work? You can’t make one mistake. But now get what he says here. In verse 20, the young man said unto him, all these things have I kept from my youth up. Whoo, what lack I yet? In the words, something’s still missing. Keep the commandment. He said, I’ve done all that, something’s still missing. What do I lack?

Well, you’ve got to be perfect. You see what the Lord didn’t mention ahead of time was, thou shalt not covet. See all those things that mention that, not thou shalt not covet, some I mentioned there. Jesus held that one out. And now he’s gonna slap it upside to head with him. He says in verse 21, Jesus said in him, if thou will be perfect, go and sell that thou have, because he knew he was rich. Give to the poor and thou shalt have treasure in heaven and come and follow me.

Boy, he laid it on him. But when the guy heard all that, that, he’s running away. Look what he says. When he heard that, he went away. Do you think there’s a possibility? He regretted those three little words. He went away. He came to the right person. He asked the right question. And Jesus told him, bigot he went away too soon. He didn’t get the whole answer. In other words, Jesus was simply showing him it’s impossible for a man to save himself.

He says, you call me good. There’s none good, but one, and that’s God. Either I am God, or I’m not good. good. So if I’m good, I’m God. And if I’m God, I am good. But they cannot be that I’m just a man and that I’m good. And that’s what he mentions there, not one verse. But now notice what he says here in verse 25 when the disciple, who then can be saved? In other words, it’s impossible. If you’ve got to be perfect, it’s impossible.

So in verse 26 with men, this is in power. What he told the man on how to be saved was impossible to do. What does the law serve? What’s the purpose of the law to convince us that we are sinners and cannot save our selves? It is impossible. So that we go to Christ and we trust him as our Savior. With God it’s possible. With man it’s impossible. Now this same man that had this story here believe it or not.

At the same time this was being done John was also writing the book of John and it happens at the same time. As you go through the whole book of Matthew these other books writing things and they all happened pretty much same time. So John 3 16 was all so back there and so he would not only tell him this but then he would also for God so loved the world that he gave his own begotten son the whosoever believe it then him should not perish but have everlasting life.

He would give the gospel also because the gospel of John, he said all those things at the same time he said all this other stuff. It’s just one book focuses on this, one book focuses on that, another one on this, and another one on that. It’s not that Jesus didn’t make the gospel clear. He knew the heart of man. He knew what was in man. And the thing that you and I should get from this is simple. It’s impossible for a man to save himself.

This is why a person who goes to church and trusts in their church to get them to heaven can’t work. You can’t trust the preacher. You can’t trust a priest or a father or anybody else. Or Rabbi, nobody can pay for your sins except one and that was the Lord and he was perfect. And that’s why he was able to do it. Look down at the bottom of the page. I wrote down just a couple things here and put it in a highlight because I wanted you to keep this in your mind.

You will never regret trusting Christ as your Savior. You will never regret that. But if you don’t trust Christ as your Savior, Do you think you’ll ever regret that? Yes, you will. Because there is a heaven, there is a hell. You go to heaven if you trust the Lord, and you’ll never regret that. But if you reject Christ as your Savior, you will go to hell, and you will regret that. But you’ll live for eternity regretting that decision. So you reveal your wisdom by the decisions that you make.

You see, a man would have to be a fool to reject a free gift. that He could have eternal life and go to heaven. A fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. Okay, you can say there’s no God. God says, you’re a fool. The next statement, you will never regret deciding to serve alone. If you know Christ as your Savior, you will never regret deciding to serve alone. Because when you get to heaven, you’re gonna be so glad that you did.

Look at the bottom of the page. Today’s decisions that are not for the purpose honoring the Lord will doubtless bring regret in the future. It won’t matter what decision you make today. I want you to understand this. Whatever that decision is, it will affect tomorrow. And you’re either going to accept it or reject it or regret it. Why should you not try to be wise and make the right decision today? If it’s wise to serve the Lord, when should you decide to do it?

tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow. I’ll do it tomorrow. Now, when does tomorrow come? Tomorrow. Tomorrow. But you have this moment, you have this day. It’s the best decision I’ll ever made. Now, look up here. This hand represents you and me. We know that we all have sin. This wall represents sin. We all have sin on a God loves us. Now, He hates our sin, but He loves us. And because He loves us and hates our sin, knowing that the wages of sin is death.

And since we’ve all committed sin, we’re all condemned. And because we’re condemned, because we’re guilty. And that’s hell waiting for us. So the moment you stop living, you’re in hell. The very moment. The Bible says to go to heaven, we have to be perfect as righteous as God, and nobody’s perfect. Nobody’s righteous. So it’s impossible for man to make himself perfect. But it is possible with God. And here’s how God says, you cannot save yourself. This hand represents Jesus Christ, God in the flesh.

He came into the world because he loves us, hates our sin because it separates us from him. So Jesus tries who had no sin did not have to die. So what He did, and He’s perfect, He’s righteous. He takes our sin, and pays for it on the cross, and came back from the dead. And He says, whosoever it would believe it, God would give to us His righteousness. If He gave me His righteousness, that would make me as righteous as God.

And if He gives me His righteousness, and He is perfect, that make me perfect. Now see, I’m good to go. Being made perfect is possible with God. And this is the only way you can have His perfection given to you that you don’t earn, you don’t wear it for you, do not deserve it. And you go to heaven on what He did for you. Salvation is the gift of God. If you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, you’ll regret it for all eternity.

Let’s pray, shall we? The head’s bow and eyes closed and no one looking around. If you’re here this morning and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior. Would you right now in the quietness of this moment, just talk to the Lord and say something simple like this? Lord, I don’t understand at all. Friend, none of us do. We’ll never understand it all. But you know enough. You know that you need to be perfect to go to heaven and you don’t want to go to hell.

And the only way you can go to heaven is to trust Christ as your Savior. Don’t you trust Him right now? In your own mind, would you believe that when Christ died, He died for you, paid for your sins? See, if you believe He paid for your sins and you accept that payment He made, you’ve got a payment now for all of your sins. That’s why you won’t have to go to hell and pay for your sin because He already paid it.

And that’s why you get to go to heaven. And I want to have prayer for you. I’d like to know if what I’ve said made sense to you. So it heads by nice clothes and no one looking around. you have, trust in Christ as your Savior this morning. And you say, preach out life for you to know. I want you to pray for me. Would you just slip your hand very quickly and put a right back down? I’m not going to embarrass you.

I’m not going to have you forward. But right where you’re sitting says, yes, that made sense to me. And I will trust Christ as my Savior. I want to know that I’m going to heaven. Yes, God bless you, man. Anyone else. Once you trust Christ as Savior, he’ll never cast you out and never lose you. Never. Anyone else before we close? Yes, God bless you. Anyone else. If you have already trusted Christ as your Savior, you’re going to heaven when you die.

Are you making decisions right now in your life? You know. You know you’re going to regret it later. When should you correct the problem? Why not do so right now? Your heavenly Father loves you, confess it to him. He forgives and serves all over the yard. Father, we ask your blessings upon these that are here today, and especially with the one that indicated that they would trust your Savior. by doing so they become your child and you’ll never cast them on nebulism.

We ask your blessings upon each person here that knows your Savior, the Father, they would understand the importance of looking to you and looking down the road and not desiring those years of regret but making wise decisions now.
