Everything in this life was not made fair and it wasn’t always justice. But does the Bible say anything about, you know, whatever a man saw that shall he also reap? It means you’re going to reap things out of this world that you soon. But it can’t always be perfectly in every case. If I sow love, shouldn’t I reap love? If I sow hatred, I reap hatred. You see, when he’s talking about sewing and reaping, it’s not talking about me sewing some corn and reaping some corn.

Oh, that’s a good analogy. Or sewing some cotton and reaping some cotton. But if a man sews to his flesh, he will have the flesh reap. If a man sews to the spirit, then he’s gonna have the spirit reap. So it all depends on, do you really understand what God is saying in his word? There’s a cause and effect. And many Christians become very, Like as you get disoriented with the things of God, it’s kind of like being on a ship.

And you’re used to being, you know, walking solid. And then the boat’s going like this. And after a while your brain begins to go like that. And then you get nauseated. Anybody been nauseated lately? Oh, I know a few people. I remember one time I was on a boat. I got so sick. Oh, I got sick. And my head was a spinning and my stomach was, I anointed some fish. But it doesn’t go away right away. It stays with you for a while.

I bet he got a little nauseated the other day, yesterday. And today he says, when you had prayer, I said, let’s pray. So we prayed. So we prayed. And I bet he says, my head was still going. The close eyes are still going. So she’s not drunk. She doesn’t drink. But she still may wobble just a little bit. But you see, there’s people like that with God. They’re not clear headed. The Bible taught that being sober minded. And a lot of God’s people are not sober minded.

They can’t think clearly. They can’t discern from the right or the left between good and bad. They can’t understand what God is saying. And so it’s something to think about. Take your time and look all way over to the book of Mark, the book of Mark chapter 9. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Mark chapter 9. And look there in verse 41, verse 41. In verse 41 it says, this is on page 1058, in church Bible. This is verse 41, for whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name.

Get this, because ye belong to Christ. Verily I send you, ye shall not lose, or he shall not lose his reward. Now it says the same thing in Matthew 10, 42 that I usually use, but here in this verse, I wanted you to see the part says because you belong to Christ You shall not lose your reward now here for example if you give someone a cup of water and You did it for the Lord whatever you do for the Lord your land of treasure in heaven And he says because you you belong to Christ you will not lose your reward now What’s the reward for it’s something that you earned you deserve it See salvation, now going to heaven, you don’t deserve that.

You didn’t work for that. You don’t deserve it. You didn’t earn it. That was a gift. That’s free. But what you have when you get there, rewards are earned. And because it’s earned, that means you have to deserve it. So he says, because you belong to Christ, and you gave someone a cup of cold water in his name. He says, you shall and no wise lose that. In other words, you are going to be taken care of when you get to heaven.

That means that while you’re here in Matthew chapter 6, it says, If you do things to be seen of men, just for the purpose ofSHIP been seen of men, he says, you have your reward. It means you did it for them. You got your reward from them. They praised you for it. Then God doesn’t have to give you one because you didn’t do it for him. You did it for the praise of men. So if you do things just to be seen of men, does God know that?

God know you’re motive. That’s why see if you do what you do for the Lord then all you need to be concerned about is God saw it and if God is pleased you ought to be satisfied because you know in this life people are not going to appreciate everything that you do it’s not going to happen. You’re not going to get the honor the respect that’s due you because of the sacrifice that you make. Did you know that you can serve the Lord and do everything right and people persecute you for doing so and don’t want nothing to do with you?

You can lose friends, you can lose jobs and you’re doing right. Now you didn’t deserve to lose the job, you deserve to keep that job. But just because you deserve something doesn’t mean you’re going to get it. So don’t get then out of shape when things don’t go your way. Don’t let it happen to you. Look there in the book of Mark in chapter 12. Look in chapter 12 and verse 24. Chapter 12 verse 24. And it says in verse 24, and Jesus answering sudden to them, do ye not, therefore, heir, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God, because they had come up with a little scenario and he says, you do heir not knowing the scriptures, and because they didn’t know the scriptures, it affected their theology.

It was wrong. So there’s a lack of knowledge can cost you. Ignorance is not bliss. I’m not preached a sermon on that one time. Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance can cost you an awful lot and because if you do not understand some of the ways of God, you’re not going to really appreciate some of the things that happens to you in this life because in your mind, if you don’t understand it, you’re going to set in judgment against God because if God is all-powerful, then God could have stopped this from happening, or that from happening, or you losing your job, or you losing your help.

See if God is God, how come God can’t stop all of that stuff? Because God is chosen not to. God has a higher purpose than yours in my desires. Whatever our goals may be. God has something He’s working out in your life and my life. And He says, now, if I make everything right here, then you won’t get it there. Because if you earned it here, then I’ll bless you here or give it to you here, and then you’ve had it.

I would rather people mistreat me here and not me get whatever I deserve to get because it will be temporary here. But if I wait till I get there, all of my rewards that I get that I’ve earned will be for how long? Forever. Now you’ve got to make up your mind. So you can do it for the praise of men which will be temporary, and man can give you praise, honor, and glory, and take it away from you just as fast as they give it.

Have you ever seen the quarterback make some touchdown passes and everybody praises them? Yay! Let him throw a couple of interceptions. Throw the bum out of there. All they think about is winning. They’re not interested in that young man. All they want to do is think about, we got to win, win, win. Why? Because they probably bet money on it and they got to have some where we’re getting their money back. Take your Bible looking. Psalms 25. Psalms 25 over there in the Old Testament, the book of Psalms in chapter 25.

And look in verse 3. Look in verse 3. In verse 3 it says, this is on page 610, He’s a yate let none that wait on thee be ashamed. Let them be ashamed which transgress, get this, without cause, without cause. Is it possible that somebody could say things against you without a real justifiable reason, without a cause? Somebody could hate you without a cause. You’re doing all the things that you know that’s right. And yet they can turn on you and pursue you without a cause.

No reason for it. Just do it. Just sometimes I don’t just plain meanness. But not a justifiable reason. Well, you know, if that happened to David in the Old Testament, we know it happened to Christ. Is it possible that it could happen to you? Yes, without a cause, without a reason. Take your Bible and look there in Psalms 35, you’re right here in the book of Psalms, Psalms 35. And look in verse 19, verse 19, it says, let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me.

Neither let them wink with the eye that, and you’re going to underline that statement. I mean, many things that David says also refers into the future to the Lord, but where he says, that hate me without cause. You see, that’s not fair. That’s not right. I mean, if somebody, you know, gets really mad at me, maybe I should have done something that justifies it. No, you live in an unjustifiable world. You live in a wicked and perverse generation. It’s where we are with people with sinful natures.

There’s lost people. There’s Christians that don’t do right by God. If they don’t do right by God, they don’t do right by you. And so it happens. And so in verse 16 where it says, with hypocritical mockers in feast, they nash upon me with their teeth. Lord, how long will they look on, or they’ll look on? Like Lord, why don’t you stop them from doing me like this? Because they’re doing it to me without a cause No reason for it look in the 69th Psalm Not a 69th Psalm And look there is on the right hand page right hand column You know 69 Psalm, but look there in verse 4 Verse 4 makes this statement They that hate me they that hate me Without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head They, that would destroy me, be in mind enemies wrongfully, are mighty.

He has a lot of enemies, and it’s wrong for them to hate me, to feel toward me what they do, kind of wrong me. Remember a guy named Saul who tried to kill David? What wrong had David done to deserve that I? Did he deserve it? Oh he didn’t deserve it. He didn’t anything wrong. All he did was just be David and happened to be the next anointed king They just happened to be a king that Samuel told him says you’re going down boy, and he did Look into 119 Psalm 119 Psalm 119 Psalm was one long Psalm They got a lot of good stuff in it 119 Psalm Look in verse 78 Verse 78, verse 78 says, let the proud be ashamed for they deal perversely with me and you ought to underline those words without a cause.

Did you know sometimes your husband may say or do something wrong and you didn’t give him a reason for it? It was without a cause. Sometimes it’s the other way. Sometimes it’s with the kids, sometimes it’s with the parents, Sometimes it’s with the workers that you work with, but this is the way you’re going to be treated. Some things you’re going to do and you deserve God’s blessings. And the only way you’re going to get out of this is your confidence is in the Lord and you’ll accept however God works it because even though things don’t work out the way you planned, you know that you’re going to be rewarded when you get to heaven.

So you’d be faithful It’s by the whatever happens Regal to what people say or whatever people do now take your Bible and turn to the book of Acts chapter 13 the book of Acts and chapter 13 Acts chapter 13 And verse 28 Acts chapter 13 verse 28 says, and though they found no cause of death in Him. In other words, there was no justifiable reason from the human standpoint for Jesus to die, because He hadn’t done anything wrong. He didn’t deserve to die.

Now when He took our sins upon Himself, yes God said He was smitten by God Himself. But Jesus never did anything wrong. He didn’t deserve to die. He didn’t deserve to die. Now when He took our sins upon Himself, yes God said He was smitten by God Himself. But Jesus never did anything wrong. He said, no God said to God, no God. anything to deserve death, as far as any deed of what he said, thought, or done. Nothing like that.

Yet desired they palate that he should be slain without a reason. Only because of he was just, he hadn’t done anything wrong. He was truth. And some people just can’t handle the truth. And you can’t handle truth is because you can’t handle Christ. Christ is truth. Now the last script I want you to see there is in the book of John chapter 15, the Gospel of John in chapter 15. Jesus has just spent some time with his disciples and he had talked to him about how that, you know, there’s things that servants do not know.

And he says, you’re my friends, and I have revealed my will to my friends. That’s in verse 15, 16 and 17. But looking verse 18, verse 18 says, if the world, if the world, hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. Now did the world hate Christ because of any wrong that he had done? Then it wasn’t right. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t just because he didn’t deserve to be treated that way. If there’s anyone who deserves to be looked up to and honored and respected, it was the Son of God because he wronged no man.

But did he get in this life what he deserved? you and I, we are a little prejudiced. We always see the wrong everybody else, but we don’t always see the wrong we do. So our judgment is a little warped. Our love is not as pure as it ought to be. Everything about us, there’s a problem because we have an old sinful nature. But Jesus had no sinful nature. Jesus was the perfect Son of God. He was literally here in the flesh, never wronged anybody.

And how was he treated? Now, Christ says, if they will do me this way, what do you expect them to do to you? The world is not fair. Remember, we always talk about it. It’s not fair. That’s That’s not fair. That’s who said it was. This world isn’t fair. Your husband will not always do everything right. You already know that. You knew that before you married him. You still married him. Your wife will not do everything right. You knew that before you married her.

You knew she wasn’t perfect because if she was she wouldn’t have married you. And you know I just said a mouthful there. And you got kids that are just like you are. And they’re not perfect either. And you already know that. They’re not going to do everything right. But you don’t want to beat them without a cause. You don’t want to have to whoop your wife every week just to keep her in line. So women obey your husbands and all things for this is right.

I think there’s a verse in the Bible says something like that. But look at verse 19, verse 19, If ye were of the world, the world would love its own. But because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. Therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said unto you, the servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also, and you’re on the line, This is important stuff because we don’t deserve to be treated like this.

Well, blessed be God who said that you had to be deserving of persecution. Who said you had to deserve to be hated? They could hate you because you’re living in a sinful world. The world here is not of God. God has his own world. He says, if I was of this world, my people would fight. He says, but I come from another world. He could have called 10,000 angels and he let them do what they did to him. Forget what he says.

Remember the word that I said unto you, the servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted, they have to be And in a sinful world, the world here is not of God. God has his own world. He says, if I was of this world, my people would fight. He says, but I come from another world. He could have called 10,000 angels and he let them do what they did to him. To get what he says, remember the word that I said unto you, the servant is not greater than his Lord.

If they have persecuted me. They will also persecute you. If they have kept my sins, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake. And you ought to underline this verse, part of the verse. Because, get that, because they know not Him that sent me. They don’t know me. Now there’s a lot of interesting things that he says down through here, but look in verse 25. But this cometh to pass that the word might be fulfilled, that is written in their law.

They hated me without a cause. Now if they can hate him without a cause because he was perfect, is it possible that people might hate you? And they may have a little reason for doing so. Do you think that possible with us with a sinful nature, we may not do everything as right as we think we did? Did you know somebody might have a cold shoulder toward you because of a hot temper that you have? Inversal, by the way.

Remember this, there’s two kinds of wars in this world, or I should say in marriage. The hot war and the cold war. The hot war is where you just let them know how you think. And verbally you say it and do it. Maybe even somebody asked one time, do you believe in flying saucers? You see, yen cups, knives and forex spoons. But you may find yourself in a situation where there’s anger and explosions. That’s cause of a short fuse.

Now the Cold War is a person who is usually long fused. They don’t explode. They just become like a chunk of ice, and they give you the silent treatment. So there’s two kinds of wars, the hot war, the cold war. Which one’s the worst? They’re both destructive. They’re both just as wrong. And the devil loves it, and he can destroy a lot of marriages. The key thing is this, Don’t expect your husband to be perfect. Don’t expect your wife to be perfect because they have sinful natures and they do things wrong.

See what one eye and here with one ear. You say, why? Because it keeps you from being so critical and seeing everything that each others do and then jumping on them with all fours and beating the tar out of each other. You don’t have to do that. The Bible says be kind one to another, loving one another, or giving one another as we should. Look up here. This hand represents you and me. You and I have done a lot of things wrong.

Call sin. So let this sin be placed on us because all of us have done wrong. God calls it sin and we have to pay for it. I mean, we did it. Okay, I’ll pay for it. What’s the payment? If I go to church, will that take it away? No, just turn over a new leaf. That won’t work. God says that I have to pay for it and the wages of sin is death. Eternal separation from God in hell.

So since the whole world is guilty, we’re all waiting for the day of execution. And God says that He loves us and wants us to go to heaven When they go to heaven, we have to be perfect as righteous as God, and none of us are perfect, none of us are righteous. So we can’t save ourselves, we cannot deliver ourselves. There’s no escape for us, nothing we can do, until Jesus Christ came into the world. And the Bible says, God loves us, and he’s sent his son, this hen represents Jesus Christ, God in the flesh.

He came into the world because He loves us and He hates our sin because our sin separates us from the Lord. So Jesus Christ who had no sin didn’t have to die, but when He took our sins, the Father killed His own Son. He died, not for his sins, but he died from the dead and said if you and I would believe that he did it for us, he would put this, put this, put this, put this, put this, put this, and we get to go to heaven on what Jesus Christ did.

There’s no tricks to it. There’s no tricks to it. There’s no tricks to it. I have this. I have this Christ as my savior. 50 years ago, I have eternal life. I am going to heaven whenever I die. And that’s the best thing I ever heard in my whole cotton picking life. It was a gift totally free. Let’s pray, shall we? With every head bowed and every eye closed and no one looking around. I want you to think just for a moment, if you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you do it right now?

So what do I have to do? Just between you and the Lord. So God knows your thoughts. And He says, if you’ll believe that He died on that cross and paid for your sins, if you’ll trust Him, not the preacher, not this church, not in your good works, just the Lord. Believe that Christ died for you. And if you’ll trust Him to take you to heaven, God said, He’ll give you the free gift of eternal life. And if He gives you eternal life, friend that lasts forever, and that lasts forever, then all your sins are paid.

Where would you go when you die? The heaven. So it heads by nice clothes and no one looking around. If you’ve never done so and you’ll do it right now, I’d like to have prayer for you. But like I said, I’m not going to have you for not going to embarrass you. But right where you’re sitting, if that made sense to you, you say, Yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior tonight and pray John like me to pray for me.

We’ll just slip you in it very quickly, but right back down, anyone at all. If you’ve already trusted Christ as Savior, great, you’re God’s child. But if you haven’t, trust him right now. And you that know Christ is your Savior, do you really understand that even though you deserve to be treated better and deserve for your husband or your wife or your kids, to do things right by you. And it doesn’t happen. Do you understand God is going to reward you in heaven because you earned something that you didn’t get here?

And you did it for the Lord. God sees, God knows, and God does not forget. Our Father, we thank You so much for all that You’ve done for us. Lord, we don’t understand everything, But we pray that as we read your word and study and walk with you and cast all of our cares upon you because we believe that one day when we get to heaven, because you’re a righteous God, a righteous judge, we know that you’re gonna make everything right.
