We pray that you’ll enjoy our commitment to the clear gospel of Jesus Christ and that today’s concluding message of this teaching will be a blessing to you and your family. He says in verse 10, and he said unto me, see all of not the sayings of the prophecy of this book for the time that it has. Now when you read the book of Daniel, so Daniel says, seal up this book until the time of the end. So when this book was written, this is the knowledge they were waiting for.

This is the book that unlocks the book of Daniel. So because of the book of Revelation, we can understand the book of Daniel. And the more we read it, the more we can understand. And yet there are still parts of it that I don’t know if I’ll ever understand. parts in the book of Revelation. I don’t know if I’ll ever get it on. It seems like there’s a lot of pieces of a puzzle that I can’t make it fit yet, and I want to.

I like to understand everything there is to understand. But I want to know so bad, and I don’t know if you’ve ever done that or not, where you want to know something so bad you don’t understand why God doesn’t reveal it to you. Maybe he says it’s not ready yet. Maybe there’s some truth that if we knew it, we wouldn’t know how to handle it. What would I do? I mean if God was to call me tonight of myself all and says, Yankee, I’m coming this Sunday at 12 o’clock.

I said, no, wait a minute, Lord, we got dinner on the ground. We want to have dinner first. Can you come as soon as we get through, we make it one o’clock. Now if I knew it for sure, what would I do? What would I do? Would I have the courage, the boldest, to announce it in In church on Sunday morning at 10.30. Hey, it’s today at one o’clock. I say, well, Lord, I need a sign. How do I know you’re gonna keep your word?

I don’t know what’s for real. How do I know I didn’t have too many onions on my hamburger? But maybe I didn’t sleep good last night. How do I know that what you just told me was really you? I never met you before. And I never had a phone call for me before. I’m gonna check the ID, heaven. Now, he says, the day’s coming. Behold, I come quickly. And I believe he will. And so he says that when he does come, it’s all over.

If you’re saved, you’re saved. If you’re just, if you’re unjust, you’re as the tree ball, so shall it light. Look what he says in verse 11. He that is unjust, Let him be unjust still. He that is filthy. Let him be filthy still. He that is right to let him be right to still. He that is holy. Let him be holy still. In other words, the day will come when it’s all she wrote. And however you are at that moment when you die.

That’s it. No other chances. If you don’t trust Christ as your Savior and you die that way, It’s forever that way. They’ll never be changed. You died lost your lost You die saved your saved So when should you make the decision should you wait till you die to find out? I? Don’t think so That’s why it behooves every man Make sure you trust a crisis your Savior Because when it’s over it’s over There are no more chances But look what he says verse 12 He says, and behold, and you ought to underline these three words.

I come quickly. But not just that he comes quickly. Look what else he says. And my what? Reward is with me. To give every man according as his work shall be. Rewards remember are earned. Salvation, that’s free. Christ came into the world and did a work. He lived a perfect life. Why? Because I couldn’t. Well, what was the value of that? Because he didn’t sin. It means that he wasn’t condemned. It means that he could die for somebody else.

But if he had sin, he’d have to pay for his own sin. Well, he had to pay for his own sin. He couldn’t pay for mine. So he was able to win that battle and he had victory. And he went to the cross and paid for the sins of the whole world, came back from the dead. And all we have to do is accept what he did for us salvation, being saved from help. That’s a gift. That’s free. You don’t earn it.

Don’t work for it. It’s gift. But we’re not talking about salvation. We’re talking about service. When you decide I’m going to serve the Lord, do what God wants me to do with my life. Now nobody can make you do it. But if you do, God says, I want to know I’m going to reward you. And when I reward you, these rewards are forever. the rewards are forever. And I’m coming quickly with my rewards to give to every man according to his works.

I told you a place right here, and look all the way over there in the book of 1 Corinthians chapter three, 1 Corinthians and chapter three. Once you have trusted Christ as your savior, you are his child, you are on the foundation, which is Christ. Look up here in verse 11. For other foundation can no man lay, then that is lay, which is Christ Jesus. So you’re on the foundation, but understand, there’s something about your labor that God is going to reward.

So you see there in verse eight, in verse eight it says, now he that planted and he that water or one. And you ought to underline this because this is what he said over there in the book of Revelation. Every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. Isn’t that what we just read over there in the book of Revelation? Yes. He’s going to come quickly and one of these days, pew them, it’s all over. All your chances are gone.

You won’t get no more. Now is the time to do what you’re going to do for the Lord. You can be as bold as you want, or as cowardly as you want. You can be shy or timid, but when you get there, nobody cares. Don’t let the way you are. Keep you from being obedient to the Lord. You can use it as an excuse if you want. I’m afraid, scared, whatever the reason is. Do you want there to be stars in your crown?

Not just that you have a crown, but do you want some stars? I don’t know what all it’s going to be, but whatever it is, it must be. be something. It must be worth it all. And get what he says here. In verse 12, now if any man build upon this foundation, go silver precious stones, hay wouldn’t stubble. Good and bad there. Every man’s work shall be made manifest because the day of Christ will declare it. The Japanese is a Christ because it shall be revealed by fire and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

I believe the fire is represented of the eyes judgment of God. Christ is going to be the one that decides whether or not was that gold, silver and precious stones or was that hey wooden stubble. See that’s why Paul says I cannot even set in judgment upon myself. But we’ll see what he says here in verse three of chapter four. In verse three he said, but with With me, it’s a very small thing that I should be judged of you or of man’s judgment.

Yeah, I judge not my own self. For I know nothing by myself or against myself. No word, Paul says, I don’t know anything against me. But that doesn’t justify me or clear me. There’s another one that’s going to judge me. And so he says in verse 5, there for judge nothing before the time until the Lord come, who bow were brain to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the councils of the heart, then shall every man have praise of God.

God says, there’s a time coming when he comes, then he’s the judge. And he knows what you’ve done and what you haven’t done. He knows what you could have done and you didn’t do. You see, he’s the one that knows the potential of every individual. And so he makes the statement there in verse 14 of chapter three. He says in verse 14, if any man’s work abide, which he had built their upon after salvation, he shall receive a reward.

If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer the loss, loss of reward. But he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire. but you and the foundation but you’re still on the foundation. That’s why he says, as a child of God, realize that your body is the temple of the Lord, and therefore you should serve the Lord. And if you will, God said he would reward you and bless you. Now look in 2 Corinthians 5, 2 Corinthians 5, real quick.

And look there in verse 10, verse 10. Remember when the rapture takes place, we will disappear here and we will appear there. And that’s why he says I come immediately or quickly. It’s going to happen quickly. Here in 2 Corinthians in chapter 5, look in verse 10, for we, this is two believers, we must all appear before the the judgment seat of Christ. This is a rewarding stamp that everyone may receive the things done in his body. After your say it, according to that he hath done, whether be good or bad, fruitful or unfruitful, you are going to be rewarded or suffer the loss of rewards.

So it’s not to see whether or not did you get to go to heaven or not? No, this takes place in For remember Revelation chapter 4 we are in heaven and God says there’s going to be a throne. There’s going to be this judgment and it’s going to be looked at your life and what you’ve done for the Lord and God says you’re going to be rewarded. Go back to Revelation in chapter 22. Revelation chapter 22 and let there in verse 16 verse 16 because it’s as important for you to know who he’s talking to.

And remember, it started off talking to the church. And chapter 6 through 19, there’s nothing about the church. Why? Because we’re in heaven. But now, notice how he closes up. In verse 16, I, Jesus. So we know from this verse, when it talks about in the book of Revelation in chapter 5, that I saw a a lamb as it had been slain. And this lamb was the lion from the tribe of Judah. So look at in verse 16, I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you.

These things in the what? Churches. I am the root and the offspring of David. Or look up here just a second. Here’s David. He says, I am the root. That means he’s before David offspring. I am from David. Now, how can that be? How can David say to the Messiah, Thou art my God? If the Messiah has to come from David because he is the root of David, he was before David. That is the son that was given the child was born.

So we know that when it talks about Jesus as the son of man, that’s his humanity, son of God, that’s his divinity. So Jesus Christ was the perfect man, the perfect God, the perfect God man. Now look what he says here in verse 16, I am the root and the offspring of David and the bright and the Spirit and the bride.” Well, when the woman now who’s the bride? That’s the church. What’s the purpose of the church in the world?

Where to say, come. Oh, what do we possess? Say to them, to everyone that hears, they come. To what? Well, look what he says. Let him that heareth say come and let him that is a thirst come and who soever it will let him take the water of life what freely freely this is what we’re going to be rewarded for this is to the church this whole book this is supposed to be the motivating factor in the Christian’s life.

Because this is the end results. This is down the road. This is our future. This is what’s going to happen. And so he says, let the Spirit and the bride say come. Let him that hear it say come. Let him that is a thirst come. Whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plays that are written in this book.

Anymane shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy. God shall take away his part out of the book of life. And out of the Holy City, from those things which are written there in the book. Now, I know that those two verses can be a little on the problematic side, but I just try to put it in this context. And that is, I believe he’s talking to the church. And I believe he’s warning you and I and telling us to read it, to believe it, to heed it, to guard it, to keep it.

And if we don’t do it, there’s a price to pay. When he talks about God will take away his part out of the book of life. See, I believe the book of life is the Lamb’s book of life. We know that he can’t cast me out of the book of life. I have eternal life. That’s impossible. The only ones who go to hell are those whose names were not written in the Lamb’s book of life. But the word lot here is a reference to your inheritance.

In other words, you are a child of God, your name’s written in the Land Book of Life, and this is what God wants to do for you and get to you over and above salvation. But because you disobeyed the Lord, you either added to it or you took away from it, it’s not important, and you didn’t do what you should have done with your life, then God says, it’s going to cost you some of that inheritance that you could have had.

Did you know that there’s people today, moms and dads, probably got kids that they might think twice about leaving all their stuff to one kid or this kid or that kid and say, well, because of your obedience, I’m gonna leave you this much. Because of your discipline, I’m gonna leave you this much. They may not tell them that until they’re dead, but people make decisions like that. Here, I think there’s a good possibility that what you could have had, you’re not gonna get.

There’s something about the inheritance, the rewards that you could have had. To be able to be used by God, you’re not gonna get. Because you added things to it that God didn’t say. And you took things out of it that God didn’t say. And be little it or don’t believe it. I have a problem with all of God’s children that always finds a way to justify their rebellion, their disobedience. Why they’re not faithful, or why they don’t win so.

Why don’t read the Bible, why they don’t pray. Why, they always got a good reason. I think it’s adding to and taking away from what God says, because they don’t take God at face value and just believe it. And I think there’s a great price to pay. Look at verse 20. Verse 20, he which testify of these things, say it. You gotta underline those words again. It’s one of the last promises in the Bible. Surely I come, that’s a promise.

It’s the last promise in the Bible. Surely I come quickly. Tell us the things that are going to happen, what life’s going to be like. All the problems that the church is going to have. And buddy, you’ve taken study the seven churches there in chapter two and chapter three, and that is a perfect picture of majority of the churches today. nothing’s changed. And look at the world today. If we’re not getting ready for the tribulation period, I don’t know what we’re getting ready for.

Now I know that I’m not supposed to be looking for the blessed tribulation, but for the blessed hope. I’m gonna be taken out of here. But we can know what’s coming here, because he told us. And because we know these things are true, what kind of a person should we be? Let me give you this one script before we close. in 2 Peter, just turn to your left, just a few pages. 2 Peter chapter 3, and look in verse 10, he said, but the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, and to which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the element shall melt with fervent heat.

Now we believe this is typical of a nuclear explosion. But anyway, the earth also and the works that are there in shall be burned up, seen then that all these things shall be dissolved. What manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and God in what kind of a person should I be if all this is true? If he did destroy the earth before with water, He’s preserving it for fire in the future and it’s all going to be burned up and what he says if it’s true.

What kind of a person should I be here? What are you living for? Are you led of treasures in heaven? Now get this. What kind of a person should I be in verse 12? Looking for and hastening unto the coming of the day of God. When the heavens been on fire shall be dissolved, the elements shall melt with fervent heat. Nevertheless, we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth. We’re in dual of righteousness. It’s coming.

It’s going to happen. And one of these days, it’s going to all be over, and we’ll be rolling in clover. It’s going to be a wonderful time. It could happen any day now. But one of these days is going to happen. You know what most people are doing? They’re doing what it says up there in verse three. Look in verse three of chapter three. He says, knowing this verse, that there shall come in the last days, scoffers, walking after their own lusts, saying, where is he?

Where’s the promise of his come? He’s been promising he’s gonna come. Well, where is he? All I know is that we’re 2,000 years closer to it. 2,000 years closer to it than we were sometime back. Whatever day passes, we’re closer to it. Now one day it’s gonna happen. And they won’t, where’d all the time go? Look up here. Let this hand represent you and me. And the wallet represents sin. We all have sin upon us. God says he loves us.

And God says that he hates what we do wrong. Everybody, I don’t care who you are, everybody, sins, we all do things wrong. So none of us are good enough to go to heaven. We’ve all sinned and we’ve all earned the right to go to hell. We earned it. We deserve to go to hell. We deserve it. Now we don’t want to go there, but we deserve it because you see, God is perfect and we’re not. And how shall two walk together unless they be agreed?

So let’s just begin. Here’s God standing right here. Holy, and here’s me. Unholy, righteous, wicked, good, terrible. He’s everything right and I’m everything wrong. Now how can we get along? There is a problem here. Now the only way who can walk together is that they are agreed. In the God are going to have to have a dialogue and God says come and let us reason together, say it to the Lord. So now God, now you can see that we’re not the same, that there’s a conflict here.

So now one of us has got to get things straightened out here. Now do you believe that He should become like me or do you believe I should become like Him? Now it’s going to have to be that He will have to change me because I can’t change God. Now when you read the book of Romans it talks about man changed the incorruptible God and made him corruptible. He made him like a man and that’s what people are doing.

They’re changing God to make him like they are. God says, that won’t work. So God says, the only way is for me to change you. So this is what he is doing. How can God change me that I can be perfect and holy and righteous like him? By my work, never. I’ll never be good enough. So church is nice, but church won’t get you to heaven. It will not clean the stain of sin. And this hand represents Jesus Christ, he’s the Lord.

Now let’s just pretend, okay, here’s God and here’s me. What we need is somebody who can talk with both of us. So I move over here and hereHouston’s Christ here. You see, Jesus as the son of God is divine. But Jesus as the son of man, he is human. So he is the perfect mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus. He’s a mediator. He goes between us. He mediates for us. So what he did for me was he went to the cross, paid for all of my sins and came back from the dead.

And when I accept that payment God puts it to my account I am accepted Because I am now found in Christ And God accepts his son, and I’m in his son, and so God can accept me because I’m in his son. He doesn’t see me. I’m hid. My life is hid in Christ. I know that sounds complicated, but all it boils down to is this. You and I can’t save ourselves. We’re not good enough. Christ had no sin, didn’t have to die.

So he took our sins, paid for it on the cross, came back from the dead, said that if we, you know, if we would believe he did it for us, he’d put this payment to our account, and he would give me his righteousness. Now if he gave me his righteousness, that would make me as righteous as God. So now because of what Christ did for me, I can walk and talk with God, my Father. not because of any good thing that I’ve done, but because of Christ.

I am in His Son and His Son can sit on the right hand of the throne of God. It makes so much sense. Sometimes it gets difficult trying to explain it, but I hope that you understand all of this. Let’s pray, shall we? If you’re here tonight and you’re not sure of going to heaven when you die, offering listen to me. That’s the most important thing of all is to know that you’re going to have, you don’t have to understand the book of Revelation to go to heaven.

All you have to know is a year’s center, just like I am. All you need to know is that Christ paid for your sins. Christ died for sinners. And that’s us. So he died on the cross, paid for our sins and said if we believe he did it for us, he would give us as a free gift eternal life. We get to go to heaven on what he did. We don’t earn it, that we don’t deserve it. God just simply loves us that much.

So with the head of our nice clothes, and no one looking around, if you will trust Christ as your Savior, I’d like to have prayer for you. I’d like to know what I said made sense to you. I’ll write what you’re saying. If you were to simply say this in your mind, Lord, I know I’m a sinner. I got questions, I got doubts. But right now, the best to know how I will accept Jesus Christ as my Savior. From God said, if you would trust Him as your Savior, hit Savior and give eternal life.

You say, yes, pray for me. I will trust Christ as my Savior right now. And I’d like you to pray for me in closing. Would you just slip your hand very quickly and put a right back down? Then what is all? If you’ve already trusted Christ to save you, you don’t have to do it again. But if you never have, it’s the most important decision you’ll ever make in your whole life. If you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, I heard you right now.

Just the best you know how to say, Lord, I must send a mouth trust to you as my Savior. I believe you died for me. If you bring God said He would save you, He would give you eternal life. And you can know that you’re going to heaven whenever you die. Our Father, we thank You so much for this time together, for the study of Word. Bless each one for being here.
