Turn in your Bible to the book of Revelation and chapter 17. Revelation chapter 17. You know and I know that there’s a good possibility that I’ll never finish the chapter tonight. You also know that this is a very interesting chapter. We’ve hit parts of it before. the question on interpretation because of trying to figure out who is the woman. Who is this woman? Well, I believe you tie chapter 17, chapter 18, together. One the woman, one the beast. And we know that the woman is going to ride the beast.

We also know that if we didn’t look at all of us other little stuff in here that you can’t quite figure out some time and we only heard that much. We would probably think that during the tribulation period that there is going to be this peace treaty made with Israel and it’ll last a one world government. So Israel would be the woman and this last one world government would be the beast. So the woman arrives the beast. Now, they make a commitment to each other for the sake of peace, but with the beast, it’s temporary because he has an agenda.

And after a while, the beast throws the woman off and tried to destroy the woman. So when you read this, look at it from that point of view. It is easy to look at the 17th chapter and think that, well, maybe this is talking about the Roman Catholic Church. Many people have taken the Pope and said that the Pope must be the beast. And maybe down in the road I’ll find out that they were right all along and I was wrong.

But it really doesn’t matter because I’m going to teach the Scriptures from the viewpoint of Old Testament looking into the future. Instead of taking things that are present and trying to interpret the scriptures according to what we see in the world because the world can change and Though you may pick that religion or that man or that that city well Things changing it may not be them a hundred years later So that’s what they’ve done for the last 500 years and They’re still wrong But people are still guessing But the word of God in the Old Testament in the prophecies, it has not changed.

So look there very quickly in verse 1, and there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials and talked with me saying unto me, come hither, I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sit at the fond many waters, with whom the kings of the earth had committed fornication and the inhabitants of the earth had been made drunk with the wind of a fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness, and I saw a woman set up on a scarlet colored beast full of names of blasphemy and having seven heads and ten horns.

To me, this woman has been around for a while. If those seven heads represent seven kings or seven kingdoms in different periods of time, then that woman was there at that time because every one of these kingdoms that have come and gone had to deal with the nation of Israel. They didn’t have to deal with The Roman Catholic Church or the Pope, but they had to deal with Israel. And it’s because of Israel that we see these nations that have come against Israel to chase in Israel because of Israel’s rebellion.

And God had promised in the book of Deuteronomy that if Israel would not obey the Lord, God would use He the nations who speak another language to come against His people, which He has done. Also, if you look at verse 15 where it says, and he said unto me, the waters which thou sought, where the horse siteth, are people, the multitudes, and nations, and tongues. So we know about the woman that she scattered around the world. In verse 16, and the 10 horns which thou sought upon the beast, that the beast is comprised of the seven beasts, the 10 kings that comes on at the end.

And so this is happening all there in the tribulation period the last time. So there’s a woman and there’s the beast. The beast it does describe as the one that is going to be existing upon the earth when Jesus Christ comes back again. You see there verse 14, the shall war with the lamb and the lamb shall overcome them and he is the Lord of Lord and King of kings. So these are the ones that tend hard that comes against the the lamb.

Remember the lamb Him in the book of Daniel in chapter 2, verse 43, 44, says that, He is the stone cut out of a mountain without hands, and He smites the tin toes. This is the Lamb who destroys the Gentile rule upon the earth. And right now, it’s the Gentile rules that have had their way with the nation of Israel. Even though Israel is in the land, she’s in unbelief, and it’s still existing only because of the United Nations and a couple of nations like maybe Britain and America.

Not much security in this world, especially the way America is going. If I was Israel, I would be scared to death today. If I didn’t know the Lord and I see what course America is taking and how little by little people are turning against the nation of Israel and how they’re backing the Palestinians and so forth in the West Main, I would be concerned because I would know that even though they said, never again, never again, the Holocaust, never again.

Yes, it will. It will happen again. And it’s going to be worse than it was before. And you think, well, people will not be that way. Yes, they will. Yes, they will. The hatred that put them in those ovens is people that exist today and they hate just as much and they’ll do just the same thing. And there’s people that will do that to you and me only because we’re Christians, just because we’re Christians. So yeah, there’s a lot of things that can happen, but it described it here and it mentions that this great city in verse 18, the woman know which thou sought that great city which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

So whenever the antichrist sets up his kingdom and rules from Jerusalem, it is the city that reigns over the kings of the earth. So it can still fulfill that scripture. But that kind of help understand a little bit, take your Bible and turn over the back. I want to take a look at two major scriptures. But first of all, look there in the book of Matthew chapter 23. Matthew and chapter 23. Remember when Jesus Christ was here, he made a statement to the Jews to the Jews because of their rejection of Him.

In chapter 23, look down in verse 34. Verse 34, make sure you’re looking at your Bible. Now this is when Christ was here, and this is what He said. Remember the 70th week of Daniel, which is the tribulation period, follows the 69th week of Daniel, which happened at the time of the cross. So what Christ was saying here was like, it’s going to happen real soon. And yet we know it was moved out in the future for 2000 years.

So in verse 34, wherefore behold, I sinned and used prophets and wise men, scribes, some of them you shall kill and crucify, and some of them you shall scourge in your synagogues and persecute them from city to city, that upon you, upon you may come all the righteous blood, shed from the earth, upon the earth, from the blood of righteous able, unto the blood of Zechariah, son of Barakiah, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar, and verily us, and ye all these things shall come upon this generation.

Of the generation when God pours out his judgment upon this earth is that period of time in Matthew chapter 24 and verse 15 where he says, when ye shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, to sit in the holy place when you shall see. And then when he says down here in chapter 24, down in verse 32, down he makes a statement, so likewise, when ye shall see in verse 33, all these things know that it is near even at the doors.

And this generation shall not pass away. During that period of time, during the tribulation period, those people that will be here are going to see all these things come to pass. And it’s upon Israel and upon Thy holy city. Now in chapter 23, look there in verse 37. In verse 37, verse says Jerusalem, Jerusalem. A vow that kill us the prophets. Who? O Babylon, O Babylon. O Rome, O Rome. Well I just take it for what it says. And I know when it’s going to happen.

So is it possible that when I go over the biblical revelation, instead of trying to attack it on to somebody else, I attack it on to the one that God meant, but it’s in a mystery form so that you don’t see it. It’s not just written to satisfy curiosity seekers, but somebody who that believes the Old Testament prophets also, and he makes a statement, he says, and stoned it then better send it to thee. How often would I have gathered thy children together, even as they hen gathered their chickens under a wing, and you would not behold your house is left unto your desolate?

But I say unto you, he said, ye shall not see me henceforth. You won’t see me anymore till ye shall say, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. That’s when he comes back the second time at the end of the tribulation period. So Christ is coming back. Now take your Bible and turn over there to the book of Isaiah. The book of Isaiah in chapter 13. Isaiah chapter 13. on page 724. And you’ll see the words as it refers to a country, a nation, and this was before the actual battle itself.

But he makes the statement here in verse 1, the message or the burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amos didigmatic. Lift Yippee banner upon the high mountain. Exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand that they may go into the gates of the nobles. I have commanded my sanctified ones. I have also called my mighty ones for my anger, even them that rejoice in my highness. The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people.

A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations. Now that phrase, kingdom of nations, you ought to underline it because you’re talking about not just one king, not just one nation, and a kingdom of nations. This is projected not only as a near prophecy from the time it was given, but into the future of a big judgment that is going to take place. And he says, the kingdoms of nations gathered together. The Lord of hosts mustered the host of the battle.

So we’re talking about something in the future. Now remember this, there is a phrase that’s used many times in the Old Testament, especially in the book of Isaiah called day of the Lord, the day of the Lord. The day of the Lord refers to that tribulation period of time upon the earth and sometimes runs out into the millennium. The specific day of the Lord is when the Lord comes back at the end of the tribulation period. But look what he says in verse 6, he says, how ye for that day of the Lord is at hand.

So I believe that what I’m going to read now must be doing that period of time called the tribulation period. He says, the day of the Lord is the hand. It shall come as a destruction and get this from the Almighty. It comes from God. So the tribulation period, the judgment where God will judge the world, it’s from God. God is going to do this. Now all these things that are happening right now in the Middle East, I don’t worry about none of it, I know that eventually sooner or later, somehow along the way, they’re going to have to make a peace treaty with Israel.

Why would fifty-some Muslim nations wantFirstly want to make a peace tree where this road gets me? Especially when you’ve got fifty-some nations and there’s only this little old place over there. Why can’t they just go ahead and wipe them off the mat? That’s what they want to do. Well you and I know it seemed like God always intervenes and protects them.

I don’t care what they try, what they do, it don’t work. They even had to put back up lights on their tanks when they were trying to come from Egypt. You know how they lost their war? They didn’t know how to get it in reverse. The driver, they didn’t know how to go backward. They didn’t know how to put it in reverse.

I think it’s a riot. You don’t know how to go forward, but not how to go in the middle of the world. But anyway, look in verse 7. Therefore shout, get this. All hand. And every man’s heart shall melt. Remember in the book of chapter 17 also, where it makes a statement about Israel is going to be encompassed about by all the nations and so forth. And look down in verse 9, he said, Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel, both with wrath and fierce anger to lay the land desolate, and he shall destroy the sinners out of it.

And he says in verse 10, the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof, that really the twelve signs of the zodiac, believe it or not. There’s nothing wrong with the twelve signs of the zodiac. It’s astrology is wrong. of shall not give their light, the sun shall be darkened, the moon shall lose her light.” In verse 4, I will punish the, and you are on the line that we’re punish the world. Because not just on Israel, it’s not just that one nation.

The whole world is going to be punished. Now we’ve already looked at some of the things that are happening during the tribulation period to believe and understand, especially the 16th chapter about the seven plates and the seven of all the judgment that are poured out that are going to happen upon the earth. Now look there in verse 13, therefore I will shake the heavens and the earth shall remove out of its place. In the wrath of the Lord of hosts and in the day of his fears anger.

Verse 15, every one that is found shall be thrust through. Now I believe this thrust through is similar to what is happening at the Mount when Moses was there in the smoke and the fire and the Lord and he says, don’t touch the mount of coming through let you be shot through and so forth. I believe there’s more to it than we just we think and it could be because of radiation that Tommy called I don’t know. There’s a there’s a whole world out there that I don’t have to understand.

I just I just believe whatever God says I believe it. And then he says in verse 16, their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes. Houses shall be spoiled their houses or wives are This is also mentioned in the book of Zechariah chapter 14 and verse 1 and 2 Where says the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations It’s when he fought in the day of battle and the city shall be taken the house right on all this stuff all of it is exactly the same So Scripture has to be fulfilled so God made these prophecies We know it has to be done doing that seven-year tribulation period.

So why not when we go there and read that Maybe this is what God is going to do. This is who He is talking about. There is a possibility. While we are right here, look in the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel chapter 15. I think I have Ezekiel chapter 16. First mistake I have ever made. Ezekiel chapter 16. Now, this is an important chapter. It shows you the heart, the broken heart of Jehovah over his children Israel, over that nation.

You see, God looked upon Israel as somebody that came into being as a miracle. And it was because of him, and he brought her forth, and he loved her. And it’s like a man who loves a woman and he talks about Israel as this beautiful woman and all that he’s done for this woman and how that God said how he has been faithful to this woman. But the woman has not been faithful to him and it’ll break your heart.

When you read this, just try to enter and see how God might be feeling as he tells it from the point of a man with a broken heart for a wife who has betrayed him.” See the verse 1, again, the word of the Lord came unto me saying, Son of man caused Jerusalem to know her abomination and say, Thus saith the Lord God unto Jerusalem, thy birth, thy night nativity is of the land of Canaan. Thy father was an amber-eye.

mother was a head tight. In other words, this is where you came from. We’re going to be all the way back to the very beginning. Verse 4, “…and as for thy nativity, in the day that thou was born, thy neighbor was not cut. Neither was thou washed in water to several the thy was, had not salted at all, nor waddled at all. None I pitied thee to do any of these to have compassion that thou was cast out in the open field.”

And he says, in that date that you were born. And when I pass by in verse 6, I saw the polluted, endign, own blood. I said unto thee, when thou was in thy blood, live. Yeah, I said unto thee, when thou was in thy blood, live. I have caused thee to multiply as the butt of the field. Thou hast increased in wax and great. And thou art come to excellent ornaments and thy breast or fashion. And thy hair is grown whereas thou was naked.

In other words, you were a little child. Now you’ve grown into a full-blown woman. You’re a woman. You’re a beautiful woman. And when I passed by the inversate and looked upon thee, behold thy time was the time of love. And I spread my skirt over thee and covered thy making. It’s, hey, I swear unto thee and entered into a covenant with thee, said the Lord of God, and thy became mine. Then washed thy thee with water. Yeah, I thoroughly washed away thy blood from thee.

I had known thee with oil. I clothed thee with brodery work and shot thee with badger skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk. In other words, you’re good out there here, and you see all these things. Now, these things you’re reading right here is exactly what you’ll read when you read the 18 chapter of the book of Revelation. She said, look what I’ve got, and she went a whoring after other gods.

In other words, when a nation depends upon another nation, they have forgotten their God. See America is supposed to be one nation under God, not one nation under the United Nations, not one nation under China, which is where we’re headed, because we’re borrowing, and You are a servant to the lender. And they become the head and we become the teo. But he goes down through here and he talks about in verse 13, Dao was decked with gold and silver.

Virement was a fine-lend silver, brought it worth without his fine flour and honey and oil. And Dao was exceeding beautiful and daoists prospering to a kingdom. God took them and raised them up and brought them into their own land. The establish them as a nation, and she was a beautiful woman. She was the wife of Jehovah. Wife of Jehovah. Well, verse 26, thy has also committed fornication with the Egyptians, thy neighbors. Great of flesh and hath increased thy hoardom to provoke me to anger.

And he says up there in verse 28, Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians because Thou hast a was unsatiable appetite. Yet you could not be satisfied. Remember whenever I mentioned some of these nations, I always start off with the no, first of all, you go back to the Egyptians and then the Assyrians and then into the Babylonians, the Medians, the Persians, the Alexander and the Empire, the Greek Empire, and the Roman Empire and then down to where we are.

But it’s laid out in the Scriptures, and I believe it’s for a reason. But look at verse 32. He said, but as a wife that committed adultery, which take of strangers instead of her husband, they give gifts to all whores, but thou give us thy gifts to all thy lovers, and howst them that they may come unto thee on every side for thy Hordam’s. You see, Israel had one God and that one God is Jehovah. Israel was never to look to any other God, any other nation.

Israel would have been the supreme premier nation on the face of this earth if Israel had been a good wife. But she went to Horan after other nations. She wanted to be like other nations. She accepted other gods and all the wickedness that took place. And so there was a price to pay. You see that in verse 36, well, excuse me, verse 35, wherefore O harlot, hear the word of the Lord. So whenever we go to the 17th chapter and it talks about this woman who was a great whore, who siteth upon many waters because she’s gone a horn after other nations.

The only reason that there is this peace treaty made is because Israel has forgotten her God. Israel should look to Jehovah and not have to make a peace treaty with anybody and trust God to deliver them, but Israel is not going to do that. So you have all these nations who come together and she will ride the beast and they will support her. All temporary. These are her lovers. They love her because of what they’re going to get from her.

They really don’t care about her. You ever seen people do that in real life? They don’t care about them. They just do that. So in verse 38, I will judge thee as women that break wedlock. See the first part of verse 37, you got to see that. Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers with whom thou hast taken place in and all them that thou hast to live. love. And all them that thou hast hated, I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, and they shall see all thy nakedness.”

So this is what God’s going to do. But God says that when He does this, the last part of verse 39 says, they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bear. So this is what’s coming. But Now look there in Ezekiel 16 and just look over very quickly in verse 48. Because you see as Jerusalem goes, so did Samaria go. And it’s just like Sodom and Gomorrah. And he talked to them of though they are like sisters.

Sodom and Gomorrah. Verse 48, and as I live, sayeth the Lord God, Sodom, thy sister have not done. She know her daughters as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughter. Neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and the needy and they were haughty and committed abominations before me. Therefore I took them away as I saw good.”

So this is what God is going to do. Now in verse 59 of that chapter talks about a covenant but I I don’t want to take time to look at that at this point. Go back now to the book of Revelation, Chapter 17. Revelation, Chapter 17. There’s no doubt that in Chapter 17, this woman, whoever she is, is a great whore. She has committed a lot of spiritual adultery. And that she has worshipped other gods and worshiped other nations and submitted herself.

See, when one nation submits herself who another nation, its fornication, its adultery. Whenever they are dependent upon that, which they submitted themselves to them, God never meant for Israel to submit themselves to anyone or anybody. So here in Revelation in chapter 18, looking verse 2, and he cried mightily with a strong voice saying, Babylon the greatest fallen is fallen. Now is it not only the nation of Israel that’s fallen, but the world empire that’s also over the nation of Israel in Jerusalem.

And because they rule from Jerusalem, they are the head of this last world government. And therefore you have the fall of of the nation of Israel, but also the fall of the nation of the kingdom, the beast itself. Because God is going to judge the beast, because the beast judged the woman.
