Now you’ve heard me say this before. In the book of Genesis, which is the first book, in the Bible. And chapter 5 and verse 1 where it says, and this is the book of the generation of Adam in the day that God created Adam. And it says Adam lived so long and he died. And then he lived so long and he died. And Lamac lived so long and they died. But regardless of how long they lived they all died.
Because you see, that’s the book of the living. Everybody born into the world. It’s like your name’s in the book of the living, but you can also die. But your name’s in the book of the living. And everything you said thought did, God says every idle word is all recorded because God says he’s going to bring everything back. And so the people who reject Christ as Savior, when they stand at the great white throne judgment, they’re going to be judged out of the book according to their works.
See what it says verse 13 and the sea and gave up the dead which were in it. Death, that’s the body. Hell, that’s the soul. So for example, if you were to die right now, your body would be here, but you’re not there. If you’re a believer absent from the body, present with the Lord. But if you’re an unbeliever absent from the body, present in hell, that’s a temporary hell, place called shield, the Old Testament, Hades in the New Testament, but it’s the place of the departed dead.
So that means that that’s where a person will go, and their soul is in hell. Now that’s only a temporary hell. Nobody right now see is in the final hell, which is called Gehenna, the final lake of fire. So if a lost man dies, body goes through the grave, soul goes into the place of torment. At the Great White Throne Judgment, death, the bodies, and held the soul, are going to stand at the Great White Throne Judgment and be judged out of the books according to their works.
So these are already lost people. These not saved people to see which way they go. These are already going to the same place, which is the place called Jahina, the final fire. But they’re judged out of their work. This determines not only the justness of God that He has a right to cast them into hell, but determines the punishment they receive in hell, which there being judged according to the light that they have received. See God knows what every person knows, the possibilities, the limitation.
God knows everything, every fact, in every case concerning every individual and God will be justified whatever he does and God will prove that. So I guess you could say God has a video camera and he’s videoing you everything, even your thoughts, your motives so that whenever God judges that lost man at the Great White Throne judgment, God will be just. God has to do right. He has to be fair and God’s going to show you what he’s doing. And he says that God is not a respecter of persons.
I believe his word is true. But you see the last part of verse 13, death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them. So these are people who were in hell, hell, now are standing at the Grey White Throne judgment, and they were judged every man according to their works.” You see, the saved man isn’t judged according to his works. Because his work has nothing to do with where he goes to heaven or hell. A say man’s going to heaven because of the work of Christ, not his.
His sins have been forgiven. They’re not to be brought up anymore. But the lost man who refused has got to answer. And I believe we’ll be there at this judgment. And I believe everything in everybody, in every angel. Because the Bible says shall not even the saint judge the angels. And how and what way? I do. I don’t know. That’s in 1 Corinthians 6, but I believe the Word of God is true, and so God says it, I believe it.
And it says, every man according to their worth, and get verse 14, and death and hell were cast into the every one of those that came from there are cast into the lake of fire. Get this. This is the, what? Second death. Same as you find over there in verse 8. second death. These are those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. Now those who have God says they’ll never sin again. There’ll be no more death, no more pain.
But what about the people who don’t trust the Lord? The Bible says there, and if you look there in verse 10 of chapter 20, and the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and Brenstone were the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night for how long? Ever and ever. Now either that means what it says or it doesn’t mean what it says. I noticed something I did it over there in India, when we had over a thousand or so that one night on a Thursday night, I not only just said, you know, Christ died on the cross and He paid for our sins.
I realize that they can’t truly understand a need for a Savior if there’s nothing to be saved from. Everybody’s gonna die. Okay, big deal about that. So come on a I’m going to die. Everybody’s going to die. But I wanted them to see what they needed to be saved from. So I spent a little time describing hell. And there were a lot of kids, a lot of teenagers, a lot of adults. And they sat there and they listened like this.
They didn’t move. And kids sat there for over two hours. I mean hundreds of little kids. And they didn’t have to have Mom and Daddy sitting with them, all the little kids were sitting together, and they all sat there, and they all listened. And there was not one time to have to discipline anybody. But when I gave the gospel, after explaining hell, I had more trust, Christ, as Savior, because the Sunday before that, I simply gave the gospel, I explained it clearly, but I didn’t hit hell like I think if I could do it over again.
I would definitely hit hell a lot harder. Because you see, they gotta know what do they need a savior for. See, if there is no real hell, and there is no eternity to it, and it’s just over like that, or after a period of time, God’s Word doesn’t say, they said it’s forever and ever and ever. And there is no escape, there is no end to it. And so, I believe more people today don’t trust the Lord because they don’t believe there’s a hell.
It’s don’t believe it’s a hell. Well, what am I need Christ for? Well, Christ is a Savior, save me from hell. But there’s a lot of preachers, they know that teaching on hell makes people feel uncomfortable, and they don’t want to have that uncomfortable experience. So they don’t talk about heaven, they don’t talk about hell, just everybody just loved one another and be kind one to another and it’s a social gospel. Well, in my mind, people are going to die, And it doesn’t matter how well they lived here.
It’s where they go and when they die. And I believe they need to understand there’s something to be saved from. And there is a literal hell. And it’s amazing at the, after all these books, here in the last book, right before God says there’ll be a new heavens and a new earth, there’s this great white throne judgment. And it’s just something that seems like in our own mind, There ought to be one. There ought to be a judgment. Has there been in your time in your life when you felt like somebody’s done you’re wrong and you didn’t get even with them?
You let them get away with it. But you knew down deep in your heart, I hope they get theirs. Somewhere along the line, it’s just not right for them to get away with murder. And some people commit murder and in this life, get away with it. In life, I remember years ago, There’s always on a program on TV, crime doesn’t pay. It most certainly does. Look at Washington. Most people are thieves. And they’re corrupt, and people are in it for whatever they can get out of it.
Yes, there is a judgment, and it should be a judgment. And it should be according to what’s right. And if you don’t take vengeance upon somebody, it’s because we believe that God will get him eventually. We always believe that you’re going to get yours. And that’s so true. day is coming. Just trust the Lord and let it alone and God will take care of it. Now, I want you to take your Bible and look there in the book of Exodus.
Chapter 32, on page 114 in your Bible, Exodus chapter 32, and look down there in verse 30, verse 30. It says, and it came to pass on the moral that Moses said unto the people, you have Send a great sin. Now I will go up unto the Lord. Perdventure I shall make an atonement for your sins. Mosers, if we turned unto the Lord and says, O this people, have sinned the great sinned and have made them gods of gold.
Yet now if thou wilt forgive their sin, and if not, blot me I pray the out of thy book which thou has written. Now it seemed like automatically as he send me to hell if you’re not going to forgive these people. I guess you can read it in there but it really didn’t say all of that but you also have to understand there is the book of living. Every person born to the world, there’s the books the Bible says that and described there is the books and in those books is your works but that’s only those from the first birth because the second birth doesn’t have to worry about being judged by your works to determine the amount of punishment you receive in hell because that’s all those people who are come from Hades or shield and then are cast into the place called Gahina.
So that’s the books. He He says, you can’t have your name blooded out of the book of life, but you can have your name blooded out of the book of the living. It’s fine. When you die, when you die, nothing else is added to that book. But literally says in verse 33, and the Lord said unto Moses, who so ever have sinned against me, him will I blood out of my book? Now if he’s talking about salvation, who hasn’t sinned against him?
everybody’s sinned against God. So then that means everybody is going to hell if that’s what it’s referring to. But we know that can’t be true. So sometimes you use the a little logic. But God did say that he was going to do this to them. See there in verse 34. Therefore now go and lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken to them. Behold mine angel shall go before them. Nevertheless in the day when I visit, I will visit their sin upon them and the Lord plagued the people.
And many people died because of the plague. So God brought them out because of their sin they ceased to live. Moses could have died, but he didn’t die. The people who committed the sin against God. They died. But I don’t believe you can say, well, most of the sin brought my name out of the book of life. It’s impossible. But out of the book of living, yes, you can die because everybody sins. Everybody will die. And so yes, that’s going to take place.
Look in Luke in chapter 10. Look in the Gospel of Luke, chapter 10. Matthew, Mark, and Luke, book of Luke and chapter 10. You see, Jesus had sent out His disciples. There were 70 of them, they went out by twos, and they came back. And He says they’re in verse 17. And the 70 returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Now see, this is what he promised to these 70 and they went and they did and they came back and they gave their report. But look what he says in verse 20. Notwithstanding in this rejoiced not that the spirits are subject unto you, but you ought to underline this part of the verse, but rather rejoice because your names will one day at the end of your life if you’ve been good enough and after the judgment are going to be written in the book of life.
Or was their names already written in the book of life? He says rejoiced because your names are written in heaven. So you see, when you trusted Christ as your Savior, you’re born into God’s family and that is the book of life. You became a child of God. You had a new birth, a new child, a new birth, a new name. That’s why when you studied the seven churches in Revelation in chapter two, and it says to him that overcomeeth, I will give him a new name.
Why a new name? Because of a new birth. You’re now God’s ch- God has a name for you. And I don’t know what my new name is gonna be yet. Maybe he likes yanking, he just leave it with yanking. You know, he never know. But I’m gonna get a new name. But as he says here, but read just because your names are written in heaven, are, it’s there. And remember, he says, and whosoever names was not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire.
So there’s a different book. And that’s why when you studied the book of Matthew, the first book in the New Testament where it says, and this is the book of the generation of Jesus Christ. And it lists the genealogy there. There’s no deaths recorded in the region because see this is the second book. Genesis chapter 5, the book of the generation of Adam. There’s only two people in the world, Adam and Christ. is the second Adam. When you’re born to this world, you’re of the first Adam, the book of the living, and you’re all going to die.
But when you trust Christ as your Savior, you’re born into God’s family, named written in the book of life. Now, your name can be blotted out of the one because you’re going to die, but your name cannot be blotted out of the other one. And see, the day will come when in the book of the living that’s going to be totally done away with and won’t need to worry about their names anymore, won’t need to worry about their works anymore because they will be in eternity in hell.
But you and I, as he says, the former things will be remembered no more. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life and that’s the difference. And that’s why it’s such a good thing to know that you have eternal life that you’re going to heaven when you die. You’ll also find, just look at this right quick, we have a few minutes, look in the book of Matthew 25, Matthew chapter 25. I have just a little bit of time, not a lot.
But Matthew chapter 25, I want you to see something here. I’ve mentioned to you before, Matthew always pictures Jesus Christ as the king and as the king of Israel, the king came to set up his kingdom. And so you will find this phrase mentioned over and over and over again, the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom of heaven. So especially when you read chapter 13 is talking about the kingdom of heaven is as blah blah blah. The kingdom of heaven is as and it has all these things.
Look there in verse 1 of Matthew chapter 25. See there in verse 1, then shall the kingdom of heaven. Look up here just for a moment. The kingdom of heaven is when the king comes from heaven and sets up his kingdom upon the earth. Now see that’s a different period of time. There’s seven years between the kingdom of heaven and the church age where we are. So there’s things that God talks to us about and there’s things that God talks to them about.
So when you read the book of Matthew you see, he was going to set up the kingdom, but they rejected him. So everything he said about the kingdom is moved over here. And so the things that are talking about the kingdom of heaven, see, belongs to the kingdom. But there’s people who don’t rightly divide the Word of God, and so they try to take all these things that God says to the kingdom and put it over here to us.
It won’t work. Because then you’ve got to take verses that seems to say about your works. And put it over here to us that’s supposed to be by grace. Now how do you explain that? Well, leave it where it belongs. And then he talks about the 10 virgins, five wise, five foolish, us all talking about their sum who were not prepared. And so it says, like down there, for example, I’ll cover this at another time a little bit more.
You see there in verse 11, afterwards came also the other virgins and Lord, Lord, opened to us. Remember in Matthew chapter 7 when it says, Lord, Lord, open unto us? Those are the ones in Matthew chapter 7 that says, they will say in the me, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? Cast out devils, then many wonderful works. They’re referring to their works. And he says, you can’t come in. So there’s believers and there’s unbelievers. Those those who are ready and there’s those who are not ready.
But this is really doing the kingdom upon the earth. It’s not talking about us. You see that in verse 14, for the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling and blah, blah, blah, blah. It’s talking about this period of time, the thousand year reign upon the earth, when the king comes to the earth. And the Bible talks about he’s going to take things out of the kingdom that defile or that are the tears and so forth. God’s going to do this and cast them in the Bible, says they’re going to be weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.
That’s those that were born into the kingdom, but after a hundred years they’re cast out of the kingdom and to outer darkness because they got a hundred years. And the person who lived to be a thousand years old, well if they lived to be a hundred, it’s like a child in comparison to how long they can live. we consider a man is an old man, he’s an old man. But there’s a time coming when a man lives to be a thousand years old, a hundred years isn’t so old.
But you see, if you take those verses out of that context and you move them over here and try to make it fit here, it just won’t fit. It changes everything. And many people who do not rightly divide the word of God have got troubles and problems. Because all the verses that seems to say this, or seem to say that, is always a problem. Look there in chapter 25 very quickly. Let me show you this. See there in verse 31, verse 31, when the son of man shall come in his, what?
Glory. And all the holy angels with him, then shall he set upon the throne of his glory. This is when he comes back as the king at the end of the tribulation period and sets up his throne upon the earth and he’s going to judge the Gentiles, the Gentown nations, and get what he says here in verse 33, and he shall set the sheep on the right hand, goats on the left. So one is the sheep and one is the goat.
This is even before the judgment. And what it means is there’s the saved, there’s the lost. We’re not having the judgment to see if they’re saved are lost. No, the goats are lost and the sheep are saved. And the sheep are put on the right hand and the goats are put on the other side. And look what he says there in verse 34, then shall the head of the church say, no, then shall the king say to them, come and blessed of my Father inherit the kingdom, the kingdom.
But see if you take that out of its context and you try to plan it to the church, it’s a totally different message. It doesn’t even fit, doesn’t even belong. And that is done all the time because there’s people who write their common terries and they don’t know what the book says. And they’re trying to remember, I showed you in chapter 24 where it says, in one shall be in the bed and one shall be taken and one left, two grind into meal, one taken and one left and people say, oh, that’s the rapture.
That’s the rapture. But if you read a little bit further, it says, and where were they taken? To the battle of Armageddon, I think the rapture. But see, they take it and try to apply this. That’s not where it belongs. See, no man has a right to mutilate the Bible by making it say whatever they wanted to say. Let the word say what it says. Don’t try to twist it. Don’t try to make it say something it doesn’t say.
And as he said here, there’s those that were on the right, going to the kingdom and there’s other ones who don’t get to go into the kingdom. Look there in verse 30, verse 30, and cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. So you see, whenever you read that, okay, that means that you could be saved and And you’re lost it because you didn’t serve a Lord. Yeah, that’s what it’s talking about, but you have to understand the point of it.
What’s he really talking about? Well there were three men and he gave different ones talents and abilities, but where was this done? In the Kingdom of Heaven, not during the church age, and in the Kingdom of Heaven, when a person is born into the Kingdom, see they still have to trust Christ as their Savior. And if they don’t trust the Lord by the time they’re 100 years old, then they’re cast out of the Kingdom. So whenever you read the book of Matthew in chapter 13, when it talks about over and over again about the things that are going to happen in the Kingdom of Heaven, look at it real quick.
just in the time, just look in chapter 13. Chapter 13. And look there in verse 11, real quick, verse 11 of Matthew chapter 13. He answered, said unto them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the what? Kingdom of heaven, kingdom of heaven. Look what he says there in verse 24. Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, the kingdom of heaven is like unto this. And then when you look over there in verse 31, another parable put He forth unto them, saying, the kingdom of heaven is like this, the kingdom of heaven.
It’s always the kingdom of heaven as He goes back and forth, back and forth. See verse 44 says the very same thing, the kingdom of heaven. You see there in verse 42? Just look at verse 41. Verse 41, the son of man shall sin forth his angels and they shall gather out of his kingdom. All things that offend and them which do iniquity. That day will come because of the people that are born to the kingdom and if they don’t trust the Lord then they will be gathered out of the kingdom.
the church, not out of heaven, not out of a body of Christ. And then look up here very quickly in verse 38. The field is the world. The good seed are the children of the what? Of the kingdom. But the tears are the children of the wicked one, but they’re in the kingdom. It’s during the kingdom of heaven. And so like it says there in verse 42, and shall cast them into a furnace of fire, there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
See, you take these verses out of its context and you put it someplace, you’ll mutilate the Bible not talking about what it does to your mind and confusion. You can’t do that. And so it says in verse 44 about the kingdom of heaven, verse 45 about the kingdom of heaven. But look at the last one, look in verse 87, again the kingdom of heaven is likened to a net and so forth when it’s full. But look what he says there in the last part of verse 49.
And shall it be at the end of the world and the angel shall come forth and sever the wicked from among the just. Where? In the kingdom. And give birth to verse 50. And shall cast them into the furnace of fire. They shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. This is the kingdom. Can you see this? I hope that you can see this and understand this.
