Turn to the book of Daniel, Daniel chapter seven. be surprised how many times I have heard. Well, you know, times are changing until we got to change with the times. Well, let me show you where that comes from. Come from the book of Daniel, chapter 7. And look at verse 25, because I want you to know that I talked to the Lord just recently and He gave me the latest word. He says, there’s some things that have not changed.

Some things have changed, but some things have not changed. Here in the book of Daniel chapter 7 verse 25, and he shall speak great words against the Most High. This is talking about the head of the last world government. We are already headed in that direction where people are not afraid to speak against God or Christ or the church or the preachers that are having a heyday with us. They mock and chide and all that they want to do.

And so there’s a lot of ridicule upon those that believe the Bible. I believe the Bible. I believe that there is a true and living God. I even believe in heaven. I believe in hell. I believe that. And I probably will believe it till the day I die. And though a lot of things may change, but there’s some things that do not change and will never change. So he says here and he’s gone to wear out the saints of the most high.

That means anti-mental sense and get this thank to change times and laws. You see you change the time where we’re living in different times now and so there’s a different understanding about life and liberty and freedom and what all these things really talking about so there’s people are trying to get us to accept well different set of values than what we used to hold. I believe the old values are good enough and I don’t have too much of a desire to go changing but we’re gonna have people change laws because there’s people that don’t believe anymore the right way.

And when you don’t believe the right way, you want laws to be compatible to the way you want to live. And just like a lot of people in religion, they have a theology that justifies their morality. However they really want to live, they really want to do, they develop a religion that gives them the freedom to do it so that they can justify in their own conscience why they can do what they do. Well here he makes a statement and they shall be given into his hand until a time times and a divided of time that’s one year two years three and a half years.

So we know that this is doing the tribulation period but there’s a lot of things that are on the horizon as we go into this direction. I want you to take your Bible looking first John chapter five and verse 13. First John chapter five and verse 13. I want you to see something that was written over two thousand years ago and believe it or not I checked my Bible and lo and behold it was still there. It has not changed.

You see there in 1 John 513? 2000 years ago a person could read that verse and it says that you can know that you have eternal life. Did you know that you can read that verse today? And it still says that you can know that you have eternal life. Look at it. This will knock your socks off. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.

That verse. See that hasn’t changed There’s some things that have not changed and the truth of what God’s word has to say it hasn’t changed So the message that God gave 2,000 years ago to go into all the world and preach the gospel that message has not changed. It’s still a fact It’s still by faith and it’s still the hope of the future you see see That which was given years ago is good today and it will be good tomorrow.

The Bible says that his word is forever settled. It doesn’t change. Woe to the man who seeks to change the Word of God by either adding to it or taking away or changing what’s there and trying to Change the meaning of the scriptures those are things that God says were not to do look in Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 and 9 I want you to see this Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 and Verse 9 two of my favorite verses in the Bible Now if you ever listen to the radio broadcast There’s a lot of them every day There’s a different message and just about every one of them will have a reference to the gospel Because just about all of my messages are gospel driven It means there’s something that drives it Even when I’m talking to the Christian is so I can keep a

Christian doing right so you can keep giving the gospel And it says here in Ephesians 2 and verse 8 For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves? It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. You see, the message hasn’t changed. And the reason the message hasn’t changed is because in reality, man hasn’t changed. You see, even though it’s been, you know, two thousand years since the time of Christ, There’s people who want to change an awful lot of things.

They say that what the Bible says is so outdated that it has to be changed. Well the Bible is not outdated and man is still as sinful and as wicked as he’s always been. I mean, we’re not getting better and better and better and better civilizations. I don’t know if you know it or not, but we are a wicked generation. We are as bad as any nation has ever been. And now lo and behold, even the United Notions have declared certain things about even children and abortion and children’s rights and all these kind of things and all it is designed for is to take away the sovereignty of this nation and the rights of the parents over their own children and will destroy in the end.

I mentioned this in Sunday school, but I’ll kind of throw it out once more, that we have A lot of times people thinking that it’s the economy stupid. You ever heard that statement before? It’s the economy stupid. So my thought is this. It is not the economy stupid. I don’t care if the economy was where every man had a job and was a millionaire. It’s still wrong. And the leadership and where we’re headed is still wrong because we’re going in the wrong direction because people are not godly individuals.

The men that are leading this country should be a godly person, ones that knows the Lord, knows right from wrong. If I was President of the United States, I would not need one opinion poll on any subject. All I need to know is what’s right and what’s wrong. And you learned that from this book. And right and wrong is from what God says, and when God made man, God gave him the right to life. So my rights came from God, and the rights are only to fulfill God given responsibilities.

So all I need to know is what does God hold me responsible for? And then I know what rights to fight for. Rights to fulfill my God given responsibilities and government didn’t give them to me and Government has no authority to take them away None whatsoever They have power But not authority it’s two different things But that’s another sermon for another time Maybe July 4th But the Bible says that a man is saved by grace and see that has not changed.

I haven’t got a new addition from God yet that says it’s supersedes what this says. So until we get another Bible from God that supersedes this one, this is the final authority mankind. And man, he’s still a sinner. I don’t get how you dress him. How you smell him up? He’s still a sinner. And because he’s still a sinner, well, he still needs salvation. So man’s basic needs has not changed one iota. Now that’s changed. But But you know what people think?

Sin has changed. You see, what used to be sin? Not sin anymore. Now I know you probably have never heard this word, but let me just throw it out to you. Have you ever heard of the word adultery? Now some churches are afraid to say certain words because they don’t want to offend anybody. He said, well, that offends me. Be offended. I don’t care. I had somebody says, you know that offends me. I said then Live with it get over it.

I don’t have to change everything so that I don’t offend anybody Does everybody consider? What they say and do offense me? They tell me to get over it. It doesn’t matter. I’m too old-fashioned anyway so I I believe that what God says in his word, in many cases, is very offensive to people. Truth is offensive. Christ offended just about everybody. He upset the apple cart. He upset the temple. The priest, the chief, the Romans, everybody was against him. Well, what he needed to have done he should.

He should have read Del Carnegie’s book on how to get along with people. How to win friends and influence people. See, he didn’t take that course. And yet, there is nobody who understands people better than him. And buddy, he just put it right out there and hit him right between the eyes. I don’t think he’s changed. No, in the book of Hebrews in chapter 13, he says, Christ, the same yesterday, today, and up to tomorrow. forever. See, some things don’t change.

There’s people today that are passing laws all over the country that homosexuality is going to be an acceptable lifestyle. They want to even teach it in our schools. And they’re going to pass laws in various states, and it’s going be acceptable. And so if it was sinful 2,000 years ago, it’s still sinful. See what was wrong then? It’s still wrong. And the Word of God has not changed. It’s still wrong. I believe that it’s a sin to cover a sin with a sin because a man and a woman that’s not married and they do not discipline themselves and next thing you know there’s a woman that’s pregnant.

So to cover up the sin they want to murder the little baby. I believe it’s murder and I believe it’s wrong. And I’m not afraid to say so. I think people ought to be ashamed of themselves. What happening to people? You see, well, times are changed. God’s word hasn’t changed. People haven’t really changed. What times is what? What is time God has spoken? A man is still the same. Isn’t murder still murder? Isn’t gossip still gossip? Isn’t adultery still adultery?

Even sodomy still sodomy? Isn’t it still the same? It’s still wicked. How can any man, Family, family, nation. family, nation, pass any legislation that justifies what God condemns? Who’s the authority here? God is in charge and God has not been overthrown. Now, as I heard, have you heard differently? He hasn’t wrote any other changes to his word. He hasn’t done anything like that. So what God wrote and what God’s done is still the same. Nothing has changed. The Master, the Lord, he hasn’t changed.

He’s still just as pure as He’s always been. He’s just as righteous as He’s always been. And He still hates sin like He always has. God hasn’t changed. He hasn’t changed. You see, you and I, we want sometimes to justify what we do in our life, because we lack the discipline to control our passions. So, to live with ourselves, to justify ourselves, everybody. You just don’t understand, times are changing. Some things have not changed. Have you got God to change his mind?

I don’t think so. Have you gotten the Word of God? Can you change this? This is settled. It’s in concrete. The Word of God is finished. not going to be added to it. It’s a complete document. The power of God has not changed. Look there in your Bible to the book of Romans in chapter 1. The book of Romans in chapter 1, looking verse 16. The Bible tells us in 1 and verse 16, for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation.

That was true 2,000 years ago. It’s still true today. It is still just as powerful as it’s ever been. This has not changed. Believe it or not, 1960, this verse became more real to me because I heard the gospel and I believed it and God saved me. And to save me took the power of God. To give me a new birth took the power of God. And it’s just as strong and real and genuine today as it was 50 years ago or 2000 years ago when it was written.

You see this hasn’t changed because man hasn’t changed. Man still needs the gospel. Man is still a simple individual and they don’t think they want changes, change the laws where it doesn’t make me look so bad. Let’s just legalize all sin. You know, there’s this farmer that went to the church and he heard the preacher get up there and preach, repent and send them over. And later on in this sermon, and he hollowed it out again, repent and send no more.

Well that week he had a guy come to paint his barn. So the guy was out there painting the barn, but it was kind of hard to go on. So he got some paint thinner and he put it into the paint. Really extended. He thought, man, if I could put some more paint thinner in there, I’ll be able to go even faster. And it’s not so much work. The farmer walked out there and he saw this painter painting his barn.

And he realized that he could see though they wasn’t covering anything, but just white washing it. He looked over and he saw what he was doing. So he says, repaint and thin no more. Did y’all get that? I mean, that’s just a joke. Repaint and thin no more. Well, some things change. Some things don’t change. But every man needs to repent. Means change his mind. Think differently. To reconsider, you cannot save yourself by your good deeds. yourself by going to church and giving money and trying to behave, you’re saved only because Christ died on the cross and paid for all of your sins.

And when you trust Him as your Savior, He gives to you as a free gift ever lasting life. See, in that verse, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that hasn’t changed, that believeth that has not changed, there has not been on upgrade. You ever get computer programs now we’ve got to give you an upgrade. There’s no upgrade here. This was given and it settled and it never has to be changed, edited. It’s a final authority.

You and I would do great if we would believe what the Word of God says. Now let me just mention this to you. Fathers need to understand. This book says, this book says, you are held by God as responsible for your home. Let me repeat that. This book says that God holds the man responsible for the home. It means that that is your role. You’re supposed to lead, guide, protect, provide for your family, that’s your responsibility. And you’re supposed to know how to meet the spiritual needs of your wife, to know how to meet the spiritual needs of your children.

It’s true that many fathers know how to meet certain needs like putting a roof over their heads. And you can put clothes on their back. And you can put food on the table, but have little knowledge on how to meet the spiritual needs of their family. Let me tell you, the book hasn’t changed. It is still the will of God for the man to be the spiritual head of the home. If you have a man and you have a wife joined together in holy deadlock, a wedlock, They are not to have two heads, not to have two heads.

One head and it’s the husband. Now I know there’s all this talk today because times have changed. Times have changed. Now it’s okay for the woman to be the head of the home. Not according to God, it isn’t. This book hasn’t changed, and it doesn’t matter about the feminist movement. It doesn’t matter what women think about the situation. It’s what God says about the situation. It is the will of God that men love their wives, love their wives, be faithful to their wives, provide for that wife, and to be the right kind of a father to those children, a good testimony.

And if the father has to discipline the children, then it’s the father that should hug the children. If the father chases the children, and the children run to mama and mama hugs the children, spank the children and the mama. And mommy and daddy should understand grandparents stay out of it. That’s difficult to watch your son or your daughter brutalize those two innocent children. And you know you got to step in just to save their lives. I’ve got kids now.

I’ve You’ve got a daughter that’s 50 years old. That’s just like putting me in a cardiac arrest every time I just think about that. I got grandkids that are 25 and 26, 27 years old. I love my kids and I love my grandkids, but there’s some things in God’s work that has not changed. I believe that it’s still wise for the dads to try to raise those children in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord. I believe that Daddy should take their families to church.

Daddy should. Isn’t it a shame that we live at a time? Times are changing. When the men stay at home and while I let my wife take care of the spiritual aspect of the family. Boy, aren’t you godly. What a way to run from your responsibilities. That’s not how God is going to look at it. And it is the will of God, just the wives love their husband, know, pay their husbands, and raise the children and do what’s right.

See, there are certain things that have not changed. But today so much has been farmed out. We let somebody else with a different philosophy educate our children. And then sometimes the parents only see the kids for a little bit. And then half the time that’s been watching either TV or doing something with something else. And you know what I’m talking about. And don’t spend time together. Before you know it, those little darlings, they’ll be up, grown, and on their own.

And you’ll say, what, no world happened, what happened to them? There’s a time when you You can mold the mind of the children. That’s why we have so many moldy-minded children. And you’re trying to teach them to do what’s right. And right and wrong is according to what God’s word says and that hasn’t changed. Children should still learn the word of God. Children should learn to obey their mother and father. They should love them and honor them and respect them.

today, you need to show kindness and respect for your parents and talk kindly about your parents with respect for your parents. I believe that it will go a long way in helping. Now, the mission that God has given to you and I, the mission has not changed. You see, It hasn’t changed because God’s power hasn’t changed. And God’s power is that He has given to us the ability to do what God wants us to do. He has given us the Holy Spirit to indwell us.

And also the authority God Himself hasn’t changed, He hasn’t relinquished it, hasn’t supplanted it, haven’t been given to anybody. God is still God and He’s still in charge. the adversaries that we have. Our enemies are still our enemies. If they’re enemies of God, they’re enemies of the believer. So you and I should be wise in the people that we have as our closest friends, because generally you’ll never rise any higher than the fellowship of your friends. That’s why they often say, you show me your friends and I can tell all a lot about you.
