We pray that you will enjoy our commitment to the clear gospel of Jesus Christ and that today’s concluding message of this teaching will be a blessing to you and your family. How can any man, family, nation, pass any legislation that justifies what God condemns? Who’s the authority here? God is in charge and God has not been overthrown. As I heard, have you heard differently? He hasn’t wrote any other changes to his word. It doesn’t do anything like that. So what God wrote in what God’s done is still the same.

Nothing has changed. The Master, the Lord, He hasn’t changed. He’s still just as pure as He’s always been. He’s just as righteous as He’s always been. And He still hates sin like He always has. God hasn’t changed. He hasn’t changed. see you and I, we want sometimes to justify what we do in our life because we lack the discipline to control our passions. So to live with ourselves, to justify ourselves, well everybody, you just don’t understand, times are changing.

Some things have not changed. Have you got God to change his mind? I don’t think so. Have you gotten the word of God? you change, you can’t change this. This is subtle. It’s in concrete. The word of God is finished. Nothing else is going to be added to it. It’s a complete document. The power of God has not changed. Look there in your Bible to the book of Romans in chapter 1. The book of Romans in chapter 1, looking verse 16.

The Bible tells us in 1 and verse 16, for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation. That was true 2000 years ago. It’s still true today. It is still just as powerful as it’s ever been. this has not changed. Believe it or not, 1960, this verse became more real to me because I heard the gospel and I believed it and God saved me. And to save me took the power of God, to give me a new birth took the power of God.

And it’s just as strong and real and genuine today as it was 50 years ago or 2,000 years ago when it was written. You see, this hasn’t changed because man hasn’t changed. Man still needs the gospel. Man is still a sinful individual. And the only thing they want changed is change the laws where it doesn’t make me look so bad. Let’s just legalize all sin. You know, there’s this farmer that went to the church and he heard the preacher.

Get up there and preach. Repent and send no more. And later on doing this term and he hollow it out again. Repent and send no more. Well that week he had a guy come to paint as barn. So the guy was out there painting a barn, but it was kind of hard to go on. So he got some paint thinner and he put it into the paint. Really offended. He thought, man, if I could put some more paint thinner in there, I’ll be able to go even faster.

And it’s not so much work. The farmer walked out there and he saw this painter painting his barn. And he realized that he could see though they wasn’t covering anything, but just white washing it. He looked over and he saw what he was doing. So he says, Repaint and thin no more. Did y’all get that? I mean that’s just a joke. Repaint and thin no more. Well some things change, some things don’t change, but every man needs to repent.

change change his mind. Think differently. To reconsider, you cannot save yourself by your good deeds. You can’t save yourself by going to church and giving money and trying to behave. You’re saved only because Christ died on the cross and paid for all of your sins. And when you trust Him as your Savior, He gives to you as a free gift everlasting life. See, in that verse, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that hasn’t changed, that believe it, that has not changed.

There has not been an upgrade. You have to get computer programs and now we’ve got to give you an upgrade. There’s no upgrade here. This was given and it settled and it never has to be changed, edited, it’s a final authority. You and I would do great if we would believe what the Word of God says. Now let me just mention this to you. Fathers need to understand. This book says, this book says, you are held by God as responsible for your home.

me repeat that. This book says that God holds the man responsible for the home. It means that that is your role. You’re supposed to lead, guide, protect, provide for your family. That’s your responsibility. And you’re supposed to know how to meet the spiritual needs of your wife, life, to know how to meet the spiritual needs of your children. It’s true that many fathers know how to meet certain needs like putting a roof over their heads, and you can put clothes on their back, and you can put food on the table, but have little knowledge on how to meet the spiritual needs of their family.

Let me tell you, the book hasn’t changed. It is still the will of God for the man to be the spiritual head of the home. If you have a man and you have a wife, join together in holy deadlock, a wedlock. They are not to have two heads, not to have two heads. One head and it’s the husband. Now I know there’s all this talk today because times have changed. Times have changed. Now it’s okay for the woman to be the head of the home.

Not according to God, it isn’t. This book hasn’t changed. And it doesn’t matter about the feminist movement. It doesn’t matter what women think about the situation. It’s what God says about the situation. It is the will of God that men love their wives, love their wives, be faithful to their wives, provide for that wife, and to be the right kind of a father to those children, a good testimony. And if the father has to discipline the children, then it’s the father that should hug the children.

the father chastens the children, and the children run to mama and mama hugs the children, spank the children, and the mama. And mommy and daddy should understand grandparents stay out of it. That’s difficult to watch your son or your daughter brutalize those two innocent children. And you know you got to step in just to save their lives. I’ve got kids now. I’ve got a daughter that’s 50 years old. That’s just like putting me in a cardiac arrest every time I just think about that.

I got grandkids that are 25 and 26, 27 years old. I love my kids and I love my grandkids, but there are some things in God’s work that has not changed. I believe that it’s still wise for the dads to try to raise those children in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord. I believe that daddy should take their families to church. Daddy should. Isn’t it a shame that we live at a time times are changing? When the men stay at home and while I let my wife take care of the spiritual aspect of the family boy, aren’t you godly?

What a way to run from your responsibilities. That’s not how God’s gonna look at it. And it is the will of God. just the wives love their husband, don’t pay their husbands and raise the children and do what’s right. See, there’s certain things that have not changed, but today so much has been farmed out. We let somebody else with a different philosophy educate our children. And then, sometimes the parents only see the kids for a little bit, and then half the time that’s been watching either TV or doing something with something else, and you know what I’m talking about.

and don’t spend time together. Before you know it, those little darlings, they’ll be up, grown, and on their own. And you’ll say, what, no world happened, what happened to them? There’s a time when you can mold the mind of the children. That’s why we have so many moldy-minded children. And you’re trying to teach them to do what’s right. And right and wrong is according to what God’s word says, and that hasn’t changed. Children should still learn the word of God.

Children should learn to obey their mother and father. They should love them and honor them and respect them. Parents today, you need to show kindness and respect for your parents and talk kindly about your parents with respect for your parents. I believe that it will go a long way in helping. Now, the mission that God has given to you and I, the mission has not changed. You see, it hasn’t changed because God’s power hasn’t changed. And God’s power is that He has given to us the ability to do what God wants us to do.

He has given us the Holy Spirit to indwell us. And also the authority God himself hasn’t changed, he hasn’t relinquished it, hasn’t supplanted it, haven’t been given to anybody. God is still God and He’s still in charge. And the adversaries that we have, our enemies are still our enemies. If they’re enemies of God, they’re enemies of the believer. So you and I should be wise in the people that we have as our closest friends because generally you’ll never rise any higher than the fellowship of your friends.

That’s why they often say you show me your friends and I can tell all a lot about you. My close friends are going to be those that know the Lord and love the Lord and walk with the Lord. I have seen to that for over 50 years and I’m going to keep doing that because I’ve I believe it’s scriptural. Separation is taught in the Word of God. There’s some things that you should separate yourself from because they’re not good.

And sometimes it means people. Sometimes it might mean places. There’s things that you ought not say and do. Because it’s a wrong thing for parents, especially the dads, to say, look, you do what I say, not as I do. Why shouldn’t they do what you do? you doing something you shouldn’t do? You ought to be an example to the children. You ought not have habits in your life that you don’t want to be in theirs. If you’re not doing right, why do you expect them to do better than you?

If you rebel against your authority, why do you get upset when the children rebel against their authority? They used to say, pot can’t call kettle black, because you’re both in the same condition. And sometimes we just don’t see ourselves the way God sees ourselves. But the mission has not changed. What God wants us to do in having good families, so you can have a good church, so you can have a good nation. But you see, the nation is going the direction of most of the churches.

The church is supposed to teach people truth and help build some good strong families spiritually so that in the world out there where you have to live, you become godly individuals and you establish a standard of righteousness. So when people run for office, it’s good men, godly men, who have a high standard of life and quality and values. It’s a shame when you listen to what’s going on sometimes in Washington and their values and what they justify. And they don’t call certain things sin.

It was a mistake. Or they’re ashamed, not because of what they’ve done. They’re ashamed to get caught. And some people can’t find God for the same reason that a thief can’t find a policeman. Look there in John chapter 3, the Gospel of John in chapter 3. John chapter 3, you see the Bible tells us that there’s a miracle of a new birth and it has not changed. still works, it manifests the power of God and it is a miracle of the Holy Spirit.

And the reason is because you must be born again. Did you know the Bible makes a statement in the book of Acts after 1 and verse 8 that when the Holy Spirit came it was to give them power to be witnesses, power to be witnesses. That goal has not changed. The purpose has not changed. The Great Commission we talk about, it hasn’t changed. The purpose that God established 2,000 years ago is still the same today. God said He came into the world to seek and to say that which was lost and that was the burden that He gave to His people and that hasn’t changed.

We’re supposed to do the same thing. You know what? I enjoyed over the year. When I went to the Volcker atone Youth Ranch camp in 1964, one of the young men that I saw there, I was up there in the what they call the hot box at Bible Town Volcker atone. And they had all these kids down there. And I was up on the top and I was stamping names on Bibles in gold, because that was how I paid my way down to camp.

And I noticed up here on the platform they had all these guys up there playing guitars. And the one that was leading them was a young kid. His name was Hank Lindstrom. Hank Lindstrom playing the guitar. Now he wasn’t fancying all over the place and jumping around. He would just lead the songs and everybody could follow him. He was very simple and had a good singing voice and everybody just loved them. And all the guys up there and they had all kinds of instruments and Hank would lead the singing.

And I said there and I thought, I want to do that. I want to do that. Did you know that it took a while before I finally figured out where you put your fingers and all that. It’s only got it all down, but I’m still working on it. Can’t expect everything to happen overnight. But when I went to Colorado and I, I wound up duplicating what I saw. What I saw stuck in my mind and what I heard and saw and I copied.

All I am is a big copycat. I am not an original one anything. I mean the Bible says there’s nothing new under the sun. Why should I spend my life trying to be an original of anything? I just copy, copy, copy. If I see something that works, I copy it. I saw Ray give the gospel like this with a little wallet. And I decided I’m going to learn how to do that. And I watched him. I mimicked him. And when Ray said, let this hand represent you and me, it’s because he always let that hand represent him.

Now, you know what some people do? They say, let this hand represent you and me. See, it won’t work, we can use the wrong hand. But I learned it from Ray, and this is how Ray did it. But most people sitting out there, see, they just take it straight across, and they use the wrong hand. I came up in my mind, see, and I got inside a Ray’s body, and I was doing it the way Ray was doing it.

And so that’s why I did it differently. I’ll have to be honest, I don’t know which hand, Dr. Hank Lindstrom used. Did he use the same one that I used? Did he? because we learn from the same guy. See there? But it’s because you see things and it becomes a good example and you follow it. And that after all those years, that mission that we had, that burden that we had, as we sit there in Bible class, we saw the same thing.

We heard the same thing. I even wrote a little song about Hank one time when he was dating Jeanette. before they got married. So I wrote this little song and I got up in chapel one day and I sung and I had no idea I was going to do this. This is one of the songs I never recorded. This is one that nobody else ever has sung. And it was simply because we always go down to the coconut grove and we’d have what we call an afterglow.

And everybody would sit around and talk about the Lord and somebody we led to the Lord or problem we were having and we prayed for one another because all all of us students were having a hard time. We were struggling. It wasn’t no big campus. The church was no bigger than this church. So we would go down with sing, write songs. And I wrote this little dilly because they started dating. Broggy went according to he didn’t go, ahh. Broggy went according to he didn’t go, woo woo woo.

Remember that little tongue? Everybody heard that? All I did is change it to Hank Lenten. I ain’t less than one according than he did go on. Hank lent one according than he did go woo woo. Hank went according than he did go. Do the coconut grow, do the after go on. Uh huh. Uh huh. I don’t know the verse in there by him in Geneva, that’s OK. I know you want a copy of that. I know. But sometimes as we mature in the Lord is some things we need to drop off.

There should be changes in our life, and the changes in our life are to be brought about by things that never change. The greatest change in my life is because of things I believe in that doesn’t change. That’s what gives you security. I know that when God promised me eternal life, I received it and it’ll never change. I became a child of God and I know it’ll never change. But I also believe that I can grow in the Lord and there can be change in my life.

I know there’s things in my life that I’ll be cut off out of my life so they can be a change, but it’s because of the word that doesn’t change. So you’ve got to change your mind so that all these changes can take place. That will never change. The mercy of God has not changed. rich in mercy, his righteousness is still imputed, and he still will reward his children for serving him. You see, I knew fifty years ago after my father-in-law lay me to Christ.

I knew, according to what the Bible said, that if I serve the Lord, he would bless my life, reward me when I get to heaven. I am still to this day, serving the Lord on that basis. Because of what he’s done for me, that’ll never change. He had blessed my life. And one day when I get to heaven, God said, he’s going to reward me when I get there. And he says his gifts and callings are without repentance. He doesn’t change his mind.

God doesn’t give it to you in the big print. He ain’t get away in the little print. God means what it says. You can trust him. You can believe Him. And His promises, they won’t change. God loves you so much. Look up here. This hand represents you and me and the wall of represents sin. We all have sin on us. Everybody is a sinner. Everybody’s a sinner. We have all sinned and come short of God’s perfection. And God says to pay for sin, eternal separation from God, inhale.

So you and I, we’ve sinned, we’re condemned. We cannot save ourselves. God says there’s nothing you can do to save yourself. So this says that we have to be perfect to go to heaven. And none of us are perfect, none of us are righteous. So how can I get to heaven? Only one way. And by the way, he says, there is no other name given under heaven among men, whereby we must be saved. That hasn’t changed. There’s still only one name.

Only one person, Jesus Christ. There’s only one way to get to heaven. And that’s through him. Christ had no sin. He did not have any sins to pay for it, but he came into the world because he loved us, hates our sin because it separates us from him. Christ took the sin, paid for it on the cross, came back from the dead, and said if we believe he did it for us, he would put the payment to our account and we get to go to heaven on what Jesus Christ did for us.

Now, if you’re visiting this morning, or you’re watching by internet, or if you’ve been here a thousand times and you’ve never accepted Christ as your Savior, you should. You should because you can. All you gotta do is believe it. Believe he, Price, pay for your sins. You see, if he paid for all my sins, I don’t have any to pay for it. He paid for all of mine, past, present, he paid for all of them. So I don’t have any sins to pay for it.

You say, well, don’t you deserve to pay for it? Yes, I do. But grace means I don’t have to. Grace means he’s giving me a free gift eternal life. Let’s pray, shall we? Every head bowed and every eye closed, no one looking around. If you’re here this morning and you’ve never trusted Christ as your savior, I’m not gonna have you forward, not gonna embarrass you. But right where you’re sitting. If you’ll just talk to the Lord and say something simple like this, Lord, I know I’m a sinner.

I have questions, I got doubts, but I believe you died on that cross and paid for my sins. And friend God said, if you’ll believe he did it for you, would save you and give eternal life. And He can save you now just like He saved the apostles 2000 years ago, just like He saved me 50 years ago. So would you trust Him? Would you believe it? He loves you that much. So I’m going to ask you to raise your hand in just a moment.

Raising your hand doesn’t save you. It just lets me know that what I said made sense and I like to have prayer for you in closing. So I’m not going to have you forward and I’ll get an embarrassment. But right where you’re sitting, you say that made sense to me and pray, I will trust Christ as my Savior. I want to be certain I’m going to heaven when I die and I’ll like you to pray for me. Would you slip you in it very quickly and better up it down?

They won’t at all. They won’t at all just slip it up real quickly but better up it down. Anyone at all. Our Father, we thank you again for your blessings. Thank you for all you’ve done for us. We’re thankful for this church, the good workers that we have. I pray Lord that you would help each Father here to accept the responsibility you’ve given them. Those things haven’t changed. Help us love our kids and our wives because that’s not to change.

Help us to be good examples. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen. You’ve been listening to Bibleline, a teaching ministry of Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida with Dr. Ralph Arnold.
