Dear Bibles, I want you to look at a few scriptures with me. Turn in your Bible to the of Acts in chapter 2. There’s a lot of teaching today going on about, you know, replacement theology. It means that they’re changing things, taking something and moving it and putting something in its place. But there’s a replacement theology and many believe that all those promises that was made to Israel in the Old Testament Well, because Israel messed up when Christ came and didn’t accept him as the king, the kingdom has been discarded.

So now God is just going to use the church to bring in the kingdom upon the earth and Israel is no more. And so some people say that it has been totally replaced. We don’t have to worry about Israel anymore. And so those people that are over there now in the Holy Land call of the Jews and so like it doesn’t matter, let the Arabs wipe them out. And they don’t care. And there’s people, believers, Christians that hate the Jew.

I believe that’s a big mistake. When God made the statement, I will bless them, that bless you, and curse them, that curse you. I believe he meant what he said. So if you want the blessing, don’t curse the Jew. Just don’t do it. Just don’t do it. And God pity the nation that curses the Jew. And God is blessed America because I think we stood behind the Jewish people. And I believe that it’s good and it’s white. And I do believe that Israel has been set aside temporarily for a while and she has been blinded for a short period of time.

But the time will come when Israel will have her eyes wide open. And I don’t think it’s gonna be too far away. But here in the book of Acts, I wanted you to see this. Look in verse 12. In verse 12 of chapter three. Acts chapter three and verse 12. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, ye men of Israel. Why marvel ye at this? Or why look ye so earnestly on us? As though by our own power or holiness, we had made this man to walk.

because there was a man that had been healed. And they came along and lo and behold, they looked up there and they saw Peter and John and says, “‘Oms, for the poor.” He says, “‘Silver and gold have I none.” That’s the way we try to keep our staff around here. Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have given thee in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. And he did. And so they want to know, oh, wait a minute, what kind of power do you have there?

we don’t have any power. It’s not by our holiness because we’re so good that we were able to do this. He says it was because of a name, because of a name. So he says in verse 13, the God of Abraham and the Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his son Jesus, whom ye delivered up and denied him in the presence of Pilate when he was determined to let him go. So see they knew the truth and they were telling it.

Do you think, you know, people get in trouble for something like that. You know, he’s phasing them and telling them that you denied them. You did it. Now today, we know, we were saying, don’t offend anybody. You are not offend anybody. So we tip toe around to everything and everybody and don’t want to say, we got to be politically correct too. Don’t say anything political that’s not correct. Don’t go get public policy because that offends people and so you’ve got a bunch of preachers a day they’re scared to death to say anything that offends anybody.

But you’ll wimp. So he says here. Whom ye delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the holy one and the just. Now when you read the book of Isaiah, that word holy one, you’ll see it mentioned all the way through Isaiah. And he’s the Lord. This is Jesus was that holy one. So when you go back to the book of Isaiah and you read it and you see the holy one, the holy one, the holy one, the holy one.

You know who it is. You know who it is. Scripture teaches scripture. Notice what else he says here. He says in verse 14, but ye denied the holy one and the just and desired a murder to be granted unto you. You want to burrow it? Well, you got him. You chose our murder over Jesus. And all the prophets have told you about him coming. And he came just like he said heed. And then when he was here, you didn’t want anything to do with him.

do with him. You denied him. So he says here in verse 15, look at this, you’re talking about a man who was no longer afraid. This is the guy that says I’m going fishing and denied the Lord three times and says I don’t know the guy, I don’t know the guy. Now look how he’s talking to these people, this old fisherman. Well it says that they knew there in verse 13 of chapter 4 where he says, now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant meant they marveled.

Now they were bold. They saw that one that they went with the three and a half years. They saw him crucified and then he was buried and he came back from the dead and showed himself after his passion for 40 days. They saw all kinds of proof, infallible proofs. They weren’t afraid. They were afraid of no man, not afraid, because they knew that what they saw was the truth. They knew that what they believed was the truth. And they wanted to see just, okay, they’re going to obey God even if it killed him.

And it did. But it says in verse 15, and killed the prince of life, prince of eternal life, whom God hath raised from the dead, where we are witnesses. And His name through faith in His name had made this man strong, whom you see and know, yea, the faith which is by Him hath given Him this perfect soundness.” Now, when He makes a statement, He says this was done, as Jesus did His ministry. He says it was open and above Him.

He didn’t do what He did in a corner, hiding. happen here everybody saw and that’s why he says in the presence of you all. Then he says in verse 7 and now brethren I know that you did this through ignorance, you did it and did also your rulers you were ignorant. Now they had the knowledge but they’re still ignorant of truth. You see you can hear something said and it can be the truth and you not know that it’s the truth and because you don’t know really that is the truth.

You don’t believe that it is the truth. And there’s probably a lot of people that have heard the gospel at times and just don’t know if that’s the truth or not. So they don’t believe it. It was hard for me to believe that my father-in-law told me because I just couldn’t believe that it was that simple, that that’s all I had to do. And I was in their house for a while before I finally saw what he was saying.

But look what he says here. He says in verse 18, but those things which God before had shown by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled by the mouth of all of his prophets. So he said all the prophets, even if it’s not written, all the prophets knew it and all the prophets preached it about the Messiah coming and making a payment for the sins of the world. There’s a lot of things that they knew and said, not recorded.

The Bible says there’s a lot of things that Jesus Christ did and said that are not in the books. But he says these things are written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ’s son of the living God. Now in verse 19 he mentioned something here. It was almost like is he really presenting to Israel like a second chance that if you will repent, if you will believe as a nation and still will humb yourself and accept Jesus as the Messiah, that he will come and sub his kingdom.

Because they asked the question in chapter one, will thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? You see, Jesus never said he would not restore him so why people believe that. There’s not going to be a kingdom. I don’t know. They take all those promises in the Old Testament and apply them to the church. And now we are spiritual Israel. We are not spiritual Israel. The Bible says there is Israel and there’s the Gentiles and the Church of God.

That’s the three groups there are. Israel is still Israel. The church is the believing Jews and Gentiles and there’s the Gentiles. So there’s three groups. it’s mentioned in the book of Corinthians. So he makes the statement here in verse 19, repent, eat, therefore, and be converted. National repentance brings national deliverance. And he says that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Now most of you have a computer and you sometimes you get a picture on there and you want to see if it’s been updated so you have to hit the refresh button.

Anybody ever seen a refresh button on a computer? Most of you have, because of something. And sometimes up there you just have to hit that little curly key and don’t reset everything and update something. And sometimes I have to do that all the time because I’m refreshing things, you know, get the new picture. I will do a newsletter and I’ll put a picture in there and then I want to see what it looks like so I hit that little button and it goes to a better relationship with this, what it looks like.

This is what people are going to see. Okay, now I’ll go back and I’ll do some more. Oh, that’s got a mistake. Okay, I’ll go back and fix it. So I keep doing that, but there’s a refreshing. There is a time of refreshing coming. It’s like God’s gonna hit a reset button and take it back to like it was in the garden of Eden. Won’t that be neat? Here’s all this wickedness in the world. The tribulation period is coming right after us.

The worst period of time the world’s ever known, and then God like hits a refresh button And he goes all the way back to where it was in the very beginning in the Garden of Eden. And it says, it’s going to be wonderful. The animals are going to be changed, the environment is going to be changed. It’s going to be wonderful. Algore will have nothing to do with the environment. It’s going to be a wonderful, wonderful time. But he says, this time of refreshing is coming.

Now give what he says in verse 20. And look what he says, and he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you. He’s going to send Jesus Christ back. There is a time of refreshing coming. So look up here. This is the church age where we are right here. The rapture takes place here. This is where we are. We’re taken out. Seven years of tribulation upon the earth, Christ comes back. And then there’s going to be all this is someone be upon the earth.

He says Christ is going to return. see, they’re here, but they’re talking about the kingdom and they’re not talking so much here about the church because, see, they haven’t had the revelation yet about the church. God used the apostle Paul to bring in many of those so-called mysteries about the church age. Though the church started on the day of Pentecost, the foundation was laid, Jews were on it, Gentiles on it, he told them and explained that this baptism of the Holy Spirit that puts together makes a body, something new.

And God gave to Apostle Paul new revelations about things that they had never known before because see they were still looking at the possibilities of the kingdom being set up upon the year. But replacement theology is replacing Israel with the church and saying that the Jews are done with God’s through with them and it’s all over with? No he’s not. And you can’t take all those Old Testament scriptures and the promises and implies them to the church age, as though it’s all going to be filled in us.

That’s not going to happen. Christ is going to come back. He is the king of Israel. He’s not said to be so much as the king of the church. He’s the head of the church, but he’s the king of Israel. This day is born to you a king, a Savior, a king is born. So Jesus Christ is the king. Now look what he says here in verse 21, When are whom the heavens must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all of his holy prophets since the world began.

Now, this restitution has to do with a simple little thing like restoration. You see, God had promised that if Israel did write, God would bless them, Israel didn’t do right, and God has chastened them. And so what God is going to do is He’s going to have a times of the Gentiles. The times of the Gentiles go all the way back to Babylon, and from Babylon until the end of the tribulation period, this whole period of time is considered the times of the Gentiles.

And when this times of the Gentiles has been finished, the last seven years. God says he’s going to bring great persecution upon this world, mainly upon the nation of Israel. That’s why all the nations are going to be gathered to gather against Israel. And the world will hate the nation of Israel, their side against Israel. And it’s almost there now. There’s not many people left to love Israel. But yet God has promised so much. And the Bible tells us that the heavens will receive Christ until this period of time.

Now this is in reference to Israel. The rapture that takes place has nothing to do with the nation of Israel. So you go from the cross to where they rejected the king. The kingdom was postponed. He goes straight over to the Second Coming of Christ and power and great glory and He’s coming back. And to be the restitution of all time. And when you sometimes when you wrong some somebody, or if the law gets a hold of you, they say you have to make restitution.

It means you’ve got to make something right. Something’s wrong, something’s got to be made right. Well, all these years, all these centuries, have all been wrong. And so God is going to pour out His judgment upon the nation of Israel and the whole world. And so God is going to, the world is going to suffer. He’s going to come back and there had been payment made nationally. And Israel is going to see Christ in power and great glory and will believe on Him and will be saved and have eternal life just like we talk about.

Now look what he says here. He says there in verse 22, Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me, him shall he hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.” So back in the book of Deuteronomy, it talks about there’s going to be another prophet just like Moses. Christ came, came to Israel. And Moses brought the word, Christ was the word, and the law was broken and Christ was broken.

The law had to get and make another set and Christ has to come back again. But now notice what he says here in verse 24. Yay and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after as many as have spoken have likewise foretold of these days. They told you about what was going to happen. You read Isaiah 53 and you can’t help but see the picture of Christ. Where he makes the statement, he says, to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

And who is in the world is going to believe this report? And he says, for out of the dry ground shall grow a tender plant. Then he talks about this plant that’s going to be rejected and humiliated and smitten by God. And all of our sins would be laid upon him. And all that’s in Isaiah 53. So the prophets knew it. They preached it. They told about it. So then he says in verse 25, ye are the children of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with your fathers.

So he’s telling him that God made all these covenants. He made these promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and it has to happen. Some of these are conditional covenants and some are unconditional. It means that it’s not conditioned upon anybody’s obedience or disobedience. God said it, and that’s where it’s going to be. So he says here in the last part of verse 25, “…and in thy seed shall all the kindred of the earth be blessed in thy seed.” And we know from the book of Galatians in chapter 3, thy seed refers to Jesus Christ.

That through Abraham, who was the father of the nation of Israel, through that line, Jesus would be born the Messiah and He would be the seed from which all the earth would be blessed. And you would know what is that blessing that comes upon the people and that blessing is salvation by grace. Where it says, and God, foreseen in advance, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying unto thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. You’re justified by faith.”

So God told Abraham, you’re justified by faith. 430 years before the law, justified by faith. Under the law, you’re justified by faith. After the law, you’re justified by faith. No man’s ever been justified any other way. But he preached it way before. And so he says here, “…and in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.” Then He said this, unto you first, God, having raised up His Son, Jesus, sent Him to what? Bless you. Now He didn’t come down and get the nation of Israel to gather and say, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, that’s not what He did.

To bless means to offer you this free gift of eternal life. He’s making the payment for sin that’s been promised and so forth. You’re saved by grace. And what did they do? This is the blessing that he wanted them to receive. Just hold your place right here. Look in the Galatians in chapter 3. Galatians in chapter 3. Just look at that real quick. Always turn in your Bibles. Always look. You say, I got it committed to memory. Oh, okay.

what he says here in verse 13. Galatians chapter 3 verse 13 says, Christ had redeemed us from the curse of the law. Being made a curse for us, for it is written. Curse it is everyone that hangeth on a tree. So Christ hung on a tree, he was cursed in our place. Get this, that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. And look in verse 16, now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.

He saith not and to seeds as of many, but as of one and to thy seed which is Christ. See, I didn’t make that up. This right there in your Bible. And so the blessing of Abraham turned to get left one page there and just look at this where it says in verse 6, even as Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. He just believed and was made righteous, declared righteous. And then he says in verse 7, know you therefore that they which are of faith the same are the children of Abraham.

And if you, with the children of Abraham you are blessed with Abraham, he means to be blessed means to be justified by faith. If you have trusted Christ is your Savior, you are blessed indeed. You are blessed.” And then notice what he says there in verse 8, “…and the scripture foreseen that God would justified the heathen through faith preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.” So when Christ came to be a blessing to the world, it meant for salvation for them to have the free gift of everlasting life so that the gospel could be preached in every language, every person.

And that’s why he says, going to all the world and preached the gospel to every individual. So did Christ come to bless the nation of Israel? See, they couldn’t be saved unless he fulfilled the promise that was made to Abraham. See, God promised Abraham, God would justify the heathen by faith? Well, Christ had to be born and to die for the sins of the world in order for God to keep His Word. God had no way of keeping His promise if Christ had not died.

So Christ had to come and He had to die so that His Father could keep the promise that He may die for Him, that God would save people by grace. And there was no other way for man to be saved. There is no other name given under heaven where by a man can be saved except through Jesus Christ himself. Now look back to your next chapter three and look in verse 26. Under you first God having raised up his son Jesus sent him to bless you.

In turning away every one of you from his iniquities. And the way he can do that, the only way it can be done is for you to have and to receive a new birth. The new birth is the only way that you can get rid of your old sinful nature. There is no other way. You can’t get rid of the old sinful nature except by the new birth. So Christ came and died to make a payment for the sins of the world so that everybody can get rid of that old sinful nature because in yourself say you don’t have the power to, but God wanted as a nation to believe on Him, to accept Him as their Messiah, as the payment for their sins.

And they didn’t. And they rebelled against that. So there was a payment to make. Take your Bible and turn there to the book of Acts in chapter 15, Acts chapter 15. Acts chapter 15. And look there in verse 13. Verse 13. Now there had been a big discussion going on here in Jerusalem. All the big shots had all come together, the apostles had come together, because there was some Judaizers saying that you had to keep the law to be saved, you had to be circumcised and so on.

And so Peter had to give a testimony. All had said some words. And they gave testimonies about how God had used them to be a blessing to the Gentiles, and so the Gentiles can be saved. And so there were some excitement about that. And notice here in verse 5, but there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, believed that it was needful to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses. So there’s those that believe that you had to do this in order to stay saved.

So there’s some people say you have to do it to be saved and then another said you have to do it to stay saved. And so they try to put them under the yoke of the religion of Islam, Judaism, where that came from. And so, but this is what they were trying to do, put a yoke upon them and it says, Why should we put a yoke upon these Gentiles that we know our fathers were able to bear? And so, see down here in verse 10, now therefore why tempt ye God to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

But we believe, the Jews, that they through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved even as they. So everybody saved the same way, and you don’t keep the law of Moses to do it. But they made people mad, of course. But at least God’s hit, Hunchos, were all on the same page. And James, we believe, was the pastor of the church during Jerusalem. And he set a few things and so on, and Peter did, but looked there in verse 13.

And after they had held their peace, James answered, say, and men, brethren, listen to Simeon, reference to Peter, have declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles to take out of them a people for his name. So the Gentiles were part of the body of Christ and if they were taken out to be a people for his name then that means that the Gentiles in chapter 10 was added to those Jews in chapter 2 that formed the body of Christ.

And even though the apostle Paul preached about the revelations of God for the church, the church was already born. The church did not begin with Paul. The church began on the day of Pentecost. And they were taken out for people for his name. And this was before the apostle Paul got to do too much in that ministry. And before those mysteries had been given to him.
