But now notice what it says here in verse 24. Yay and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after as many as have spoken have likewise foretold of these days. They told you about what was going to happen. You read Isaiah 53 and you can’t help but see the picture of Christ. What he makes the statement he says, to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? And who is in the world is going to believe this report?

And he says, for out of the dry ground shall grow a tender plant. Then he talks about this plant that’s going to be rejected humiliated and smitten by God. And all of our sins would be laid upon Him. And all of that’s in Isaiah 53. So the prophets knew it. They preached it. They told about it. So then he says in verse 25, ye are the children of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with your fathers.

So he’s telling him that God made all these covenants. He made these promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and it has to happen. Some of these are conditional covenants and some are unconditional. It means that it’s not conditioned upon anybody’s obedience or disobedience. God said it, and that’s where it’s going to be. So he says here in the last part of verse 25, “…and in thy seed shall all the kindred of the earth be blessed, in thy seed.” And we know from the book of Galatians in chapter 3, thy seed refers to Jesus Christ.

That through Abraham, who was the father of the nation of Israel, through that line, Jesus would be born the Messiah and he would be the seed from which all the earth would be blessed. And you would know what is that blessing that comes upon the people and that blessing is salvation by grace where it says, and God foreseen in advance, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying unto thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. You’re justified by faith.

So God told Abraham, you’re justified by faith. 430 years for the law, justified by faith. Under the law, you’re justified by faith. After the law, you’re justified by faith. No man’s ever been justified any other way. But he preached it way before. And so he says here, and in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Then he said this, unto you first, God, haven’t raised up his son Jesus, sent him to what? Bless you. Now he didn’t come down and get the nation of Israel together and says, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, That’s not what he did.

To bless means to offer you this free gift of eternal life. He’s making the payment for sin that’s been promised and so forth. You’re saved by grace. And what did they do? This is the blessing that he wanted them to receive. Just hold your place right here and look into Galatians in chapter 3. Galatians in chapter 3. Just look at that real quick. Always turn in your Bibles. Always look. You say, I got it committed to memory. Okay. Look what he says here in verse 13.

Galatians chapter 3 verse 13 says, Christ had redeemed us from the curse of the law. Being made a curse for us, for it is written. Curse it is everyone that hangeth on a tree. So Christ hung on a tree, he was cursed in our place. Get this, that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. And look in verse 16, now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.

He saith not and to seeds as of many but as of one and to thy seed which is Christ. See I didn’t make that up. This right there in your Bible. And so the blessing of Abraham turned to your left one page there and just look at this, where it says in verse six, even as Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. He just believed and was made righteous declared righteous. And then he says in verse seven, know you therefore that they which are off faith the same are the children of Abraham.

And if you, well the children of Abraham, you are blessed with Abraham. He means to be blessed means to be justified by faith. If you have trust in Christ as your savior, you are blessed indeed. You are blessed. And then notice what he says there in verse eight. And the scripture foreseen that God would justify the heathen through faith preached before the gospel under Abraham, saying, in these shall all nations be blessed. So when Christ came to be a blessing to the world, it meant for salvation for them to have the free gift of everlasting life, so that the gospel could be preached in every language, every person.

And that’s why he says, going to all the world and preach the gospel to every individual. So did Christ come to bless the nation of Israel? See, they couldn’t be saved unless He fulfilled the promise that was made to Abraham. See, God promised Abraham God would justify the heathen by faith. Well, Christ had to be born and to die for the sins of the world in order for God to keep His God had no way of keeping his promise if Christ had not died.

So Christ had to come and he had to die so that his father could keep the promise that he may die for him, that God would save people by grace. And there was no other way for man to be saved. There is no other name given under heaven where by a man can be saved except through Jesus Christ himself. Now look back here in Acts chapter 3 and looking verse 26. Under you first God, having raised up his son Jesus, sent him to bless you.

In turning away, every one of you from his iniquities. And the way he can do that, the only way it can be done is for you to have and to receive a new birth. The new birth is the only way that you can get rid of your old sinful nature. There is no other way. You can’t get rid of the old sinful nature except by the new birth. So Christ came and died to make a payment for the sins of the world so that everybody can get rid of that old sinful nature because in yourself, so you don’t have the power to, but God wanted as a nation to believe on him, to accept him as their Messiah, as the payment for their sins and they didn’t and they rebelled against that.

So there was a payment to make. Take your Bible and turn there to the book of Acts in chapter 15, Acts chapter 15. Acts chapter 15 and look there in verse 13. Verse 13. Now there had been a big discussion going on here in Jerusalem. All the big shots had all come together. The apostles that come together because there was some Judaizers saying that you had to keep the law to be saved, you had to be circumcised and so on.

And so Peter had to give a testimony. Paul had said some words and they gave testimonies about how God had used them to be a blessing to the Gentiles and so the Gentiles can be saved. And so there were some excitement about that. And notice here in verse 5, but there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, believed, that it was needful to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses. So there’s those that believe that you had to do this in order to stay saved.

So there’s some people say you have to do it to be saved and then the other said you have to do it to stay saved. And so they try to put them under the yoke of the religion of Islam, Judaism, where that came from. And so, but this is what they were trying to do, put a yoke upon them and it says, why should we put a yoke upon these Gentiles that we know our fathers were able to bear?

And so, see down there in verse 10, now therefore, why tempt ye God to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear. But we believe, the Jews, that they, through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we shall be saved even as they. So everybody’s saved the same way. And you don’t keep the law of Moses to do it. But they made people mad, of course. But at least God’s hit hunchos were all on the same page.

And James, we believe, was the pastor of the church there in Jerusalem. And he set a few things and so on, and Peter did, but looked there in verse 13. And after they had held their peace, James answered, say, and men, brethren, listen to me. Simeon, reference to Peter, have declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles to take out of them a people for his name. So the Gentiles were part of the body of Christ. And if they were taken out to be a people for his name, then that means that the Gentiles in chapter 10 was added to those Jews in chapter 2 that formed the body of Christ.

And even though the Apostle Paul preached about the revelations of God for the church, the church was already born. The church did not begin with Paul. The church began on the day of Pentecost. And they were taken out for a people for his name. And this was before the Apostle Paul got to do too much in that ministry and before those mysteries had been given to him. So in verse 15, and to disagree the words of the prophets as it is written, after this I will return and will build again the tabernacle of David.

So now he’s talking about God has called out of people for his name, and that’s doing this church age. After this the church age, he says I will return and rebuild again the tabernacle of David which has fallen down.” Now that’s not the church building this. This is Christ coming back and He will build it. And this temple is described in the book of Ezekiel which is going to be a very glorious temple. When they went back and rebuilt the temple back after the captivity, the old men wet because it didn’t look like the other one did.

But the next one coming is going to be something else and so he makes the statement here in verse 16 After this after the church age I believe I will return and we’ll build again the tabernacle of David So this is some of the reasons why I do not believe in a replacement theology where God is going to replace the the nation of Israel with the church the church is from Pitta cost to the Rapture and we’re taken out and and God will continue His work with the nation of Israel.

So for all these years, Jerusalem, from the time of Nebuchadnezzar all the way down, has been under Gentile rule. Even though they now are in Israel and established as a nation, Jerusalem, the city of Jerusalem, is divided into two sections, and half of it is the old city where the Arabs have it. I believe when they went in there in 67 they should have took the whole thing and gave up nothing. But that’s my opinion. And I don’t believe like he says in Hosea, if they parted my land they should not do that.

That belongs to God and God says I can give it to whoever I want to. This earth belongs to the Lord doesn’t it? I mean he whoever made it should belong to the person and has he sold it to anybody? Well then it’s still God’s. And he can do anything he wants with this piece of property down here. He happens to have ownership. He’s in control. It’s his. He has the title lead to the year. So he says here in verse 17 that the residue of men might seek after the Lord and the Gentiles.

All the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. And here’s a good memory verse. Somebody ought to memorize this verse here. Known under God are all His works from the beginning of the world. And the reason for that is because God says in Isaiah 48 in some verse that your hard-headed and stiff-necked and somebody that necked men I haven’t seen you. Where’s that verse found? Huh? I wasn’t asking you Tom. I was asking these college kids down here.

I just had to memorize it but Tom knows everything. Tom, if you got the Bible committed to memory, you sure have to have. Good night. Well, you ain’t got anything else to do, you might as well sit around and study the Bible. I wish I had his sharp memory. We’ve been in the Bible studies over there and somebody will be teaching somebody’s teaching. Somebody got a question. Tom has got his hand up. Tom, he thinks, but he’s not. Now, why are you right here?

Understand all these things are known by God in advance. That’s prophecy, history written in advance. Now, turn into Bible to the of Romans, the book of Romans, chapter 11. Romans, chapter 11. Romans chapter 11, and you’ll notice in verse 1 chapter 11, in verse 1 it says, I say then, half God cast away His people, and of course according to those in believe in replacement. The other, yes, yes, he’s forgotten all about them. But look at the next two words.

God forbid. No, He has it. And this is after the resurrection of Christ. The ascension of Christ, this is into the church age. This is 30 years later, and he has not cast away his people. He says, they’ve only been set apart. He says, for I also, he says, I’m an Israelite of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. Has God cast away his people, which he foreknew? He said, don’t you know what the scripture says? God always has a remnant.

He’s always had a remnant. He still has a remnant. He says, the reason is this, because of Israel’s hard-heartedness. They have closed their eyes lest they should see. They’ve stopped their ears lest they should hear. And yet these are the things that the prophets of old desire to see and never got a chance to see. He says, and this is happening in your day, and you wish not who I am and what I’ve done. And so they rejected him and crucified him.

And so he told him, he says, a man is saved by grace. The reason for Romans 11 and verse six, we often just, we quote it because it makes it so clear on salvation, but look at it real quick. Where he says, and if by grace, then there’s no more of works, otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of work, it cannot be by grace, otherwise work is no more work. So clear. You see, the grace works works.

But this, he’s talking to the nation of Israel about the nation of Israel. Israel, all they had to do was believe and they would have everlasting life. And they would promise that if they would serve God, he would bless them as a nation, protect them and supply for them, put none of the diseases of Egypt upon them, everything would be wonderful. But they rebelled because they rebelled as a people. Even though he prophesied, he’s going to come. When Christ came, he was rejected.

The kingdom was postponed. So God sent the message to the Gentiles. So they have been set aside, but they’re still individual believing Jews, always a remnant that has believed and still part of the body of Christ now. But what’s going to happen in the future is when the rapture takes place and all of us believers are taken out of here, God’s going to have 144,000 Jewish evangelists preaching, I believe, all over the earth. So He makes the statement, why did we get grafted into this root of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?

And then we were taken off, we came into this seed, and the church was born and grew up and taken to heaven. And now the Jews are going to be grafted right back in like they were before. So that’s why he says there in verse 20 of the same chapter, well because of unbelief, they were broken off and thou standeth by faith. They not high-minded, but fear. For if God spared not the natural branches, which is Israel, take heedless, he also spared not thee.

Behold, therefore, the goodness and the severity of God.” Now, this goes back to chapter 9 when he talks about the vessels of wrath and the vessels of mercy. And God has chosen before the foundations of the world to use people that rebelled against Him as a vessel of wrath. And he already made his mind. He’s going to mind. He’s going to mind. God’s mercy. God’s mercy is light. God’s mercy is light. God’s mercy. God’s mercy. God’s mercy is light.

God’s mercy is light. God’s mercy is light. So when Israel obeys, well then they’ll demonstrate God’s mercy. When they disobey, they can show God’s chastement. chastisement. So God has used them all the way down through the years and just the same thing in your own personal life. As a child of God, if you serve God, if you serve Him, then God says you can become a vessel of mercy. And He’ll use you and bless you. But if you rebel against Him, you can, then God will use His chastening rod upon you.

So you You see, you’re the one that determines which kind of vessel you’re going to be. God’s already determined what He’s gonna do with that vessel. So whenever you rebel against the Lord, you can expect your heavenly Father is gonna be the power out of you. Maybe take you home before your time. But can you live as you please? Yes. Can you get away with it? No. And Israel couldn’t either. So we’re supposed to learn by all these things about that.

He says, but the time will come. And look there in verse 23. And they also, if they abide not steal an unbelief, shall be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. So that’s why when Christ comes back at the end of the tribulation period. And according to Zechariah 13, they will see this prince in his hands. He said, where did you get these? I received those in the house of my friends. So when he comes back, Israel is on the verge of total extinction if Christ does not intervene.

He said that there would no flesh be left alive unless God intervenes and cuts short the time nobody would be left physically alive. The world is able to destroy mankind from the face of the earth. So Christ comes back. Israel sees him. Israel believes. So Israel is saved at that point and they’re grafted back in just like they used to be and God will use them as the seed to start his kingdom. And he is the stone cut out of of a mountain without hands, and he comes down and smites these toes and destroys the image of the beast.”

That’s another sermon and sets up his kingdom upon the year. So feed there in verse 24. For if thou were cut off out of the olive tree, which is wowed by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more shall these which be that natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree? For I would not, and And this is what he’s saying. All that to say this, for I would not brethren that you should be ignorant of this mystery lest you should be wise in your own conceits.

Blindness in part is happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles become in. So whenever God gets through dealing with the Gentiles and the destruction at the battle of Armageddon, which ends the Gentile rule over the nation of Israel from 24 or 2,500 years. That’s been going on. Christ is coming back and He’s going to set up His kingdom up on the earth. But Israel right now as a nation is blind. I’ve been to Israel six times. I think He went about 15 times, something like that.

You probably know there’s every Jewish person over there. Every Jewish rock. Every tree. And I was over there with Hank. Hank loved to talk to people about the Lord. He loved prophecy. That he did. And I went over there I think twice with Hank and four times with somebody young. But it is wonderful to go to the land of Israel. And for somebody to think, the land of Israel, well, and it’s not even real. I’ve had people, that’s not even a real place.

I’ve been there. And all those places are called just like they are in the Bible. And they’re right where the Bible says they’re supposed to be. And behold, they’re there. And you can walk into very same places. It’s just, they’re blind. They can’t see it. I was talking to one Jewish man one time and he says, I don’t believe in this. There’s no Messiah and I don’t believe in God. He didn’t believe anyone. He says, why should I believe that there’s a God?

I says, because of you. You are the biggest proof that there is a God. You’re a Jew and you’re still alive. And all down through the centuries, people have tried to destroy the Jewish people, annihilate them. Because if Satan could do that, he can disprove the Bible. God says it can’t happen. It ain’t gonna happen. And once again, the head of this last world government, they’re all gonna go against Israel. It’s gonna be some bad times coming for them.

But they are not gonna be extinguished. Christ is gonna come back and be their savior. And they’re finally gonna get to see their knight in shining armor. He’s even going to come on a white horse. The horse right behind him? That’s mine. Who’s questioning that? Who’s questioning? I’ll probably be about 30 miles back on my little donkey or something or whatever. It’ll probably make me walk. Look up here. This hand represents you and me. The rod represents sin. God says that all of us have sinned.

We all do things wrong. But God loves us. He hates what we do wrong. And the wages of sin is death so everybody is condemned. So the payment for sin has to be made. We have a debt and we don’t want to pay it. So God says you cannot save yourself by how good you are. It’s always by grace and grace alone. This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. Came into the world because he loves us.

He hates our sin because it separates us from him. So Jesus Christ who had no sin didn’t have to die, but he was perfect. He was righteous. He came and took all the sins of the world, paid for them on the cross and came back from the dead. said that we would believe He did it for us. He would put this payment to our account. We go to heaven on what He did. So you see, back there in the Old Testament, God made a promise.

He’s going to justify everybody by faith. No works. Well, He can’t do that unless somebody pays for their sins because according to the law, He has to be just. And He can’t just justify people. Their sins have have to be paid. So that’s why the Son had to come into the world, live a perfect life so that God can fulfill the promise that He made and be a blessing to everybody. See, everybody because of sin is under a curse.

So He talks about, I want to bless you, it means I want to save you. I want to save you from the curse and the power of sin and our lives and the penalty of sin, the very presence of sin God wants to do all this for. And so the Bible says Christ took our sins, paid for it, came back from the dead and it will believe he did it for us, he’d give us eternal life. We get to go to heaven on what Christ did for us.

Best news in all the world. Let’s pray, shall we? Go ahead, bow nice clothes, no one looking around. I hope that what I’ve said, you’re able to understand. I want to know that I love the nation of Israel. I love the Jewish people. I love everybody. But I want to be very careful, I don’t say and do things against the nation of Israel because I still believe that God’s promise, even though it’s in the Old Testament, chapter 12, I still believe it’s true.

I will bless them that blessed and cursed them that cursed thee, whether it’s an individual or whether it’s a nation. I think we ought to love God’s people, love the nation of Israel. I love to I have a good missionary that’s a good soul winner to the Jewish people. At this point, I have not found that person yet. I don’t want somebody to just sit around and do some things and so forth and write newsletters. I’m talking about somebody that’s a soul winner.

So y’all pray for about that. But if you’re watching by internet or you’re here tonight and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you trust Him? Would you believe that when Christ died, He died for you? Will you accept Him and Him alone as your only hope of going to heaven? friend God said if you would believe it and trust him, he would save you and give eternal life. Father, we thank you so much for this time together.

Bless each one. We ask your blessings upon us. Bless every student, bless the teachers, and Father bless each member in this church and the friends it comes here. We know that they have also difficult decisions to make and sometimes a heavy load to carry. Help us to learn how to cast our cares upon you because we know you care for us. So bless us. In Christ name we pray, Amen.
