Now, we know that Joseph and the Bible had a dream, but who gave it to him? The Lord gave it to him. And the Lord had already planned on how to get Joseph down into Egypt. See, God could have just picked him up and put him down there. And God could have done a lot of things in a lot of different ways. But God uses the actions of thoughts, the wills, and so forth, the obedience and disobedience A people in order to weave his will, and you and I can never figure that out.

But God, in his word says, God sent him down into Egypt. Doesn’t it say that? God sent him. And he will even put in irons. He went from the pit into prison into the palace. God placed him and worked it out. God had a plan and God was fulfilling his dream, his vision. We’re just part of his vision. God just looking for those that can be used and have a tender heart. Someone that just comes to the Lord and says, Lord, I don’t care how you use me.

My dream, my vision is whatever yours is. You’re free to use me any way you want, wherever you want, do to me anything you want. Good or bad or it doesn’t matter to me. I’m yours Lord. And I’m going to trust you to do what you need to do in my life. And I know that you want what’s best for me and I trust you. I trust you. Do you trust God that much that you can commit your whole life to him and let him freely do to you whatever he wants to do.

But that’s the way it should be, shouldn’t it? And then whenever you’re seeing that you’re just doing what God wants you to do, shouldn’t that brain contentment that I’m doing the will of God? Now we always want to, because of our love for the Lord, we want to do more for the Lord and more for the Lord and more for the Lord. And then there’s the devil who wants you to do less for the Lord and less for the Lord.

And so he’s also working on you and he works on your mind, tries to defeat you and to discourage you so that you give up doing those things that you should do. So anyway, he makes a statement here in verse 13, then Samuel took the horn of all and anointed him in the midst of his brethren. And the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. God had a purpose. You know when you read the Bible and you read the book of Daniel, you’ll find out that Daniel had a vision.

God gave it to him. Did you know that it also never could never had a vision? God gave that to him. The Bible also tells us in the book of Isaiah in chapter 6, in the year that King Uzziah died. Isaiah says, I lifted up my eyes and I saw the Lord. Holy, holy, holy. He had a vision. I saw the Lord. And then he made the statement, the Lord did, who shall go for us? And Isaiah says, Lord, here in my, in other words, Isaiah was simply saying, I’ll do what you want me to do.

How would you like to have the vision, the dream that Jeremiah had? You see, he was placed in a pit a dungeon full of mud. He was almost dead if it hadn’t been for somebody who helped get him out of there. He was persecuted. Later on he was taken even down into Egypt. But Jeremiah He knew what God was going to do and he told the people the vision God gave to him. Ezekiel had to do the same thing.

God told him and gave him a vision and says, this is what you tell the people. Even though their faces are hard and they’re not going to believe you because they’re rebellious, you tell them anyway. And so the ministry that some of these people had wasn’t always a pleasant ministry. It was a hard ministry. They were put in hard places at hard times. We would always like to have God calling me full time to Hawaii. I’m going to witness to the people on the beach, but did not David make the statement?

God gave him a vision, but he had a vision to build the Lord something. What was it? David had a vision to build something, the temple. And even though he didn’t do it, he got all the stuff together and his son finished the project and he built Solomon’s temple. But David just wanted to have the dream. Do you think that it’s possible that God could have gave him that vision, that dream? Because God didn’t have to fulfill it just because God wouldn’t let him build it.

Do you think before the beginning of the world God knew what David was going to do? I do. Now take your Bible and turn to the book of John chapter 4, John chapter 4. John chapter 4, and look there in verse 34. When Jesus says these words in verse 34, my meat is to do the will of Him that sent me. For my own personal enjoyment of the Scriptures I put in place of my will is to do the will of Him that sent me.

My dream is to fulfill His dream. My vision was His vision. My purpose, my goal was His goal. will is to do the will of Him that sent me. So that meant that the Father had a will, a purpose for the Son coming into the world. So Jesus knew what to do because He knew what the will of the Father was. If you want to know the will of God for you, know the will of God. And where do you find the will of God recorded within the Word of God?

It is the will of God to know the Word of God so that you can know the will of God. Don’t that make sense? I think it makes sense. He says, this is what I want to finish, his work. That’s why we say, are we involved in the work of the Lord? It’s got to be his work. What work does he want done? We don’t do our work and say, Lord, I know this is a good and acceptable because I thought of it.

This was my idea. You might think of something, but I would say put it this way. As you read instead of the Bible, you find out what are your responsibilities. Now who’s the one to give you responsibilities? Your heavenly Father. So the will of God is for you to do what He told you to do. So if you do what He told you to do, you have a vision. You know what to do. Well what did he tell you to do?

What he told me to do this? Well then that’s what you do. He told me to study his word. Okay then that’s what I do. He told me to witness. Okay then that’s what I do. He told me to meet with God’s people so that’s what I do. So whatever the word of God tells you, just to do it. And if you become obedient where you are, then the Lord may open up another door and another door. But see first of all, He might just put you in the closet.

God may give you a little place to serve. It’s no bigger than a closet. But what do I got to do? And you’re jealous because somebody else gets the living room and you got a closet. You be faithful and keep that closet as clean as you can. Whatever’s in that closet, you make sure it’s hung nice and neat and everything’s clean. You take care of that little responsibility because a man is faithful in that which is little, then He will be faithful in that which is much.

But if you despise little things, why should God give you bigger things? Are you faithful to do what you can with what you have? And if you will, the Lord might surprise you when they open that door, that little closet, and lo and behold, you’re in the living room. This is so much bigger. Got a couch in here. Even has windows. I can see outside. You’ve got a bigger room, but now you’ve got more responsibility. It’s bigger. But if you take care of that and do what you came and what you got, God may have another door to open up and you walk through that door.

See, you’re just walking with the Lord. But if you’ll be faithful in little things, then God’ll open up bigger things for you. Beretion to the Lord. content to do a good job was what you do have. Don’t always complain about what you don’t have, but realize that God’s the one that opens doors and closes doors. I’m just to be found faithful to do what I can do with what God’s given to me. Take your Bible and turn to book in Hebrews in chapter 11.

Hebrews chapter 11. Now you know about the great faith chapter. We’ve been there many times. It’s amazing how this chapter just kind of draws me over here to this book because he’s talking about faith. There’s men of faith. Men of faith were men with a vision. See up here in verse 4, by faith able offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain. Why? Because he heard what God said and did it. And he has a testimony that he pleased God.

He obeyed God. Look in verse 5. In verse 5 talks about a man named Enoch, translated that he should not see death because he had a testimony that pleased the Lord. This was before the flood, men were wicked, exceedingly wicked. But here was a man that was godly. We don’t know all that he did, but we know the Bible says he was a preacher of righteousness. He even preached about Christ coming with thousands of his saints, ten thousands of his saints in the book of Jude.

Now that’s not recorded in the book of Genesis, but it is recorded in the New Testament. So evidently it must be true, but he didn’t make himself translated. That was good Lord did that. The Lord is free to do a lot of good things for those who walk with him. If you will walk with God. You’re free up God to let you be a vessel of rich blessings. But when you don’t and you’re rebellious to God, God says it’s most difficult to bless a rebellious child.

You’re rebellious, but you want his blessings. And he used an illustration right here in chapter 12 about a fellow by the name of what was his name, what was his name that rebelled against the Lord? And he had his rights that he had sold for a mess of pottage. He saw that his name, sold his birth right. Though later he repented, changed his mind and he wept and wept and wept, but it could not be changed. He had a forfeit, something that he could have had, but he blew it.

And a lot of people like that. If you notice here in verse 7, by faith, Noah been warned of God, warned by who? God. You know what it was? Noah was said not there one day and he says, sons, I got an idea. Let’s build us a big old Now, y’all are going to go in all the world and get some animals and put them in this thing because I’m going to make it rain. Was this Noah’s idea or was this God’s idea?

He built an art because it was part of God’s vision. It was the will of God that he do this. So he did what God told him to do. You see, these men of faith didn’t sit around and dream up some way that I could be great How can I be great for God? How can I be great for God? No, they walked with God, and they sought to obey the will of God. And God used them. Don’t seek greatness in your own mind.

You just be a faithful individual and see what God opens up. And you’ll be surprised. So he obeyed and the Bible says, concern and neighbor him. And verse 8, by faith, Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place, who called him to go out into a place? His wife? Was his wife’s idea? Maybe it was his father-in-law. Maybe it was a lot, his nephew. . . . . . . . . . Whose idea was this?

It was God’s idea. You see, he was down there in the early counties. He was down there. God said, I want you to go someplace and I’m going to tell you where to go. And he led them all the way up and over in town into the land of Canaan. About a thousand mile little journey. Long ways. Then he told him, it says, every place your soul touches upon. That’s, I’m giving it to you. That wasn’t Abraham’s idea. That was God’s idea.

God’s is just looking for a man. There might have been somebody else, but some people refused the Lord. There’s probably a lot of people that could have done a lot of great things for God, but they wouldn’t do it. You know, I believe that even with Sodom and Gomorrah, God had a man there, didn’t he? Didn’t God have a man there? And he couldn’t even get 10 people. he could have, but he didn’t. He just vexed his right to soul from day in the day where they’re unlawful deeds.

And God couldn’t use him, set on a shelf. There’s a lot of Christians that I know that have been placed on a shelf. God doesn’t use him. And they’re like somebody says, you know, I could have done that. I could have done that. I could have been great if I wanted to. I could have served the Lord. I could have been a preacher. You know, I even I thought about being a pastor. I thought about, you know, being a missionary.

I know but you didn’t. You didn’t. God’s looking for somebody who will. Everybody could have served the Lord that no Christ is Savior. Don’t you agree? Can all of God’s children serve? Can all of God’s children walk with them? But do they? And yet you’d be surprised what great things you could have done, should have done. But you refused. And the day will come when you look back upon your life with regret and wonder, why didn’t I? Why didn’t I go ahead and do what God wanted me to do?

I think it’s going to be a shock. Take your Bible and turn to Acts 26. Acts chapter 26. Acts chapter 26, and look at verse 16 again. But rise and stand upon thy feet.” Acts 26 and verse 16, where I have appeared under thee for this purpose. I have appeared unto you for a purpose. You should always believe God has appeared unto me for a purpose. You say, I know the Lord, then He’s appeared to you. If you have a Bible, that’s how God speaks to you.

That’s how you get a vision, finding what is my responsibility as a child of God. Then you trust that Holy Spirit that lives within you to open up doors of opportunities and sometimes give you an idea of how I can fulfill the will of God for my life. I started at Christian School in Colorado because I knew the parents’ responsibility to raise their children in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord. I want to help them. So I started a Christian school for my kids, for their kids, so that we could teach our kids what we believe is right.

And we didn’t want our kids to be raised in a public school. So I didn’t spend a lot of time praying, Lord, is this your will. I just knew that it is His will that His children, our children are raised in the nurturing admonition of the Lord, that our children should know Christ as Savior in early age, that we should teach them to pray and so forth. All their life are there under our roof as much as we can.

And I didn’t see that the public school was going to help fulfill my responsibility. Duh. I knew what I should do. So you see, sometimes if you know the will of God, you know what you’re supposed to do. So he says here in this verse, I will appear unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness, both of these things which thou hast seen and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee, delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan and the God that they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”

Look in verse 19, “…whereupon O King of Grippum, I was not disobedient.” Now, where did this vision come from? From heaven. Came from the Lord. This is a vision, but it’s a command of God about what God wanted him to do. So God has given us a command in the Scriptures, going to all the world and preached the gospel to every creature. So I already know as well, and I know it’s a command, but do you have a vision?

How can I fulfill my responsibility? So part of my responsibility is to try to teach you your responsibility and try to create an environment whereby people have a place to serve. Therefore, if I know God wants us to win and He wants us to train, so then I want to start as many things I can to win and as many things as I can to train. Don’t that make sense? So then I got to try to get as many people that I can to get into God’s vision.

Not Genki’s vision. It’s the Word of God. You have to see that you are not helping Yankee fulfill his dream, but I want you to see that you’re helping to fulfill God’s dream, the will of God. Is it God’s will that we win souls? Yes or no? Alright, can we do that with ranch? Can we do that with the internet? Can we do that with the radio? Can we do that with your reformers unanimous? Can we do that in Sunday school?

Can we do that in church? We can do it in just about every way, can we? You can always give the gospel. Well, training people. Don’t people get trained when they are counselors and junior counselors and team captains and all at a camp, we’re creating opportunities for people to serve. The serving is what trains. You get involved in ranch, it trains you, prepares you. Have you seen how Jesse has matured just because he has taken responsibility? And if he’s faithful in a little bit, it seems like God will take care of the rest of it.

But he’s just one. What if we had a hundred Jesse’s. Wouldn’t that be awesome? No, that’s possible. Jesse told me the other day he said, I want a thousand in ranch. Now, is that a vision or not? This is a way that he can help fulfill his responsibility and I’m going to hold him to it. No. So we have ministries that teach like a sentence you can teach people, not just win them, but teach them. Ranch can also teach them not just win them.

Church can also teach them and not just win them. The radio ministry can also teach them and not just win them. Everything we have can win and train. Therefore, I believe it’s the will of God. I’m telling you this for a reason. I have a dream and I’m going to share that with you maybe next Sunday night. We have only begun. We’re only going to live once. Don’t you want to see what great things God can do? Through us, if we’ll be faithful to fulfill His dream, we’re just part of a bigger thing.

I’m so glad to know that. We’re not just little old peons down here with no purpose. we’re involved in the greatest thing in the world. The work of God. It doesn’t get any bigger than that and doesn’t get any better than that. As he said to King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to this heavenly dream, this heavenly vision. And yet it was nothing more than a command of God of what God wanted him to do. What did God wanted him to do?

They from the people and so forth to open their eyes, turn them from darkness, from the power of Satan unto God. We can do that because this is what he was taught and told and passed on to the church. And we’re part of the church. This hen represents you and me. The wallah represents sin. We all have sin on the… But God loves us. Now he hates our sin because it separates us from God. And God says, we have to pay for it.

No payment for sin. Is eternal separation from the Lord? But God says to go to heaven, you have to be perfect as righteous as God. And none of us are perfect. None of us are righteous. We’ve all come short of perfection. I was up there on Wednesday night, and there was a good crowd there on Wednesday night because they came in for the conference. And right at the end of Dr. Scudder’s message, he’s standing up there at the podium, and I was sitting over there on the other aisle.

And I’m kind of dreaming a little bit thinking, you know, cogitating. And he’s just looking at that thing. And all of a sudden we have a young man here. I don’t know what he didn’t say, young man. He said, we have a man here that can give the gospel in a minute, five minutes or ten minutes. He says, Yankee, stand up and give the gospel in one minute. Now I knew when he said one minute, he really didn’t mean one minute.

Because I was not going to keep one minute. minute. But anyway, I stood up and I explained the gospel. Would you believe I actually got more comments on that one two-minute message than I did on my IR sermon that I preached later? There’s a message there. Don’t worry about it. This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. Came into the world because He loves us, hates our sin because it separates us from Him. So Christ took the sin, paid for it on the cross and came back from the dead.

And said if we He would believe it. He would put this pain-matower account and we get to go to heaven on what Christ did. He gets all the credit because He did all the work. All we had to do is believe it. And He says, when you believe it, you can know that you have eternal life. That means you can know that you’re going to heaven. So yes, He paid for our sins, came back from the dead, sent it into heaven, and all we have to do is go along for the ride.

That’s good news. Let’s pray, shall we? With every head bound, every eye closed, no one looking around. If you’re here tonight and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, I want to know that Lord loves you. He really does. And He proved how much He loved you by dying for you, to pay for your sins. That means you don’t have to pay for them if you believe He did it for you. But it’s so simple, it’s so easy. Surely you can do that much.

You can believe on the Lord, trust Him as your Savior. And God said, if you would trust Him, He would save you. And you can know that you’re going to heaven when you die. So the headbound eyes closed, is it anyone at all? Tonight say, yes, that made sense to me, and I will trust Christ right now as my Savior and preach our life here to pray for Him. Just flip your hand very quickly and better write back down, then what’s all?

If you’re watching by internet, right there on your screen, right below my fingers here. There is a little button that you can push in. It says you can know, you have your life if you trust Christ as your Savior, would you trust Him? Just let us know by clicking that button for us. If you’ve already trusted Lord, you don’t need to do it again, but we appreciate the opportunity of coming into your home.
