Psalms 22 is like somebody sitting there writing down his feelings. the thoughts of Christ’s body was onCompat. Remember he was led as a lamb to the slaughter and he opened another’s mouth and defensive himself. He allowed them to say anything about him they wanted to. He allowed them to do anything they wanted to and he just endured it. Because the Bible said he endured the cross, didn’t enjoy it. But for the joy that was set before him, it means the results of what he’s going through is going to be worked at all.

Oh, what can you and I learn from that? Well, while we’re in this world, regardless of the trials and tribulation, all the heartache and everything to go through, the joy that’s gonna be on the other side, because of what you did is gonna be working. But he makes it this way, that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be. So, it’s like there’s no comparison. What you’re going to have is a result of what you gave up for the Lord and you sacrificed for the Lord.

The world cannot compare with what God got for you and I. I know sometimes people sing that song. I can only imagine, have I heard a song? Not only imagine, well the Bible says you can’t even imagine. I have not seen ear, have not heard, neither has entered into the heart of men. The things which God has prepared for them to let them. It’s hard to even imagine Because there’s nothing in this world that’s gonna be like what we’re going to say And if he did such a beautiful job in this world when you think about all the beauty there is in the world Think what heaven is gonna be like?

I thought one time. I don’t know if I want to go to heaven or not seems like it’s gonna be boring up there You know just everybody sitting around on their own little cloud You know I got a crown Now God is a God of diversity God says that we’re going to be serving Him for all eternity. There’s going to be something to do. I kind of have something to do. You know I thought about it would really be neat of the felure.

You know that was told there was nine plants, you know, around our socials. There was nine plants. I thought that’d make a nice nine-hole golf course. When this one guy was talking to this other friend, he said, now look, which if you die in go to heaven before me, I want to find out is there a golf course in heaven and come back and tell me. Well his friend died. So one night he’s laying there in bed and all of a sudden his friend shows up as an angel with a headed foot of his bed.

He says, Joe, wake up Joe, wake up. He said I got good news and bad news. He said tell me the good news. He says there’s a golf course in heaven. Oh that’s wonderful. What’s the bad news? Your tee off time is 10 o’clock in the morning. Oh, but anyway, as we move in right along. Psalms 22, you’ll notice what he says here in verse 31, look at verse 31, they shall come and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he have done this.

So this is a prophecy about what Jesus Christ did on the cross. And the reason is so that people are going to go out and spread the gospel about His righteousness to a people that shall yet be born. Well, I’m part of that group. Somebody declared unto me the righteousness of God because we have none.Engineers Christ took and when we be He said, we believe He took our sins. He gives us His righteousness. He doesn’t give you His righteousness till you believe He took your sins.

You see sins and righteousness can’t go together. And so Christ took our sins upon Himself and the Father rejected Him. And that’s why he says in verse one, look in verse one, “‘My God, why has thou forsaken me?’ Because the sins of the world were placed upon Christ.” And so it says there in verse one of chapter 22, it’s telling you how Jesus was thinking while he was on the cross and some of the things that he said, look in verse six.

Remember, you’re talking about the God of the universe, the creator of heaven and earth. The Bible says in John chapter 1 in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. But in John chapter 1 he does make this statement in the beginning he says God created and in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God and all things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made.

He was in the world and the world was made by him, but the world knew him not. And he says in verse 14 of John chapter 1, and the word became flesh. The word was God. The world was made by him. And the word became flesh and guelcan monies. And we beheld his glory. The glory is of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. So Jesus Christ was the Lord. But look in verse 6 what he says about himself.

What he He became a man, took upon himself all of our sins. I am a worm and no man. A reproach of men, despised of the people. Now when you read the book of Isaiah in chapter 53, it says, He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant. And He starts off in chapter 53, verse 1 is the Lord. Who hath believed our report? Like He’s writing what’s going to happen 700 years in the future. who hath believed our report.

And when you read that in Romans in chapter 10, it says, they believe not the gospel. For Isaiah said, Lord, who hath believed our report. See, they were told to believe the gospel. And in Romans in chapter 10, they’re told to believe the gospel, to obey the gospel is to believe the gospel. Because what does the gospel say? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. So we’re to believe that. So it says in verse 7, all they that see me, laugh me to scorn.

They mock me and they did. They mock the Lord. And he said in verse 8, he trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him. Let him deliver him sin. He delighted in him. Remember what he was on the cross? He said, if you be the Messiah, come down and save yourself and save us and we will believe. We’ll believe if he became down from the cross he could have saved nobody he could not save himself Because if he had it he could have saved no one He came as a lamb and was slaughtered and there was none to help see there verse 11 be not far from me for trouble is near for there’s none to help All these that are against him in verse 14.

I am poured out like water All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It is melted in the mist of my bow. My strength is dried up like a ponchred and my tongue cleave it to my jaws. And thou hath brought me into the dust of death. For dogs, which many believe this is reference to Gentiles, have compass me the assembly of the wicked. Having closed me, they did what? They pierced my hands and my feet.

So is there a question about who this is talking about. And this is what he said. They pierced my hands and my feet. This is what’s going on inside of him and how he felt describing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. You know, sometimes you’ll see these movies they put up about the passion of Christ or killing Jesus and some of these things, but they don’t tell why. They don’t tell why. Why did Christ die? You know, I let it lead into the Lord yesterday.

And I asked her the question. I says, heaven, you heard that Christ down on the cross and paid for all this in the world. She said, yeah, I said, why? I said, you heard that right. You don’t do it. Why? Why did he pay for the sins of the world? Because he didn’t want you to have to pay for them. Why did he pay for my sins? Because he didn’t want me to pay for my sins. He paid for my sins so that I wouldn’t have to.

And all I had to do is believe he did it for me. and he would put that payment he made to my account. And she trusts the Lord, it’s just so simple, so easy. She’d heard a lot of stuff, but she just doesn’t understand. They don’t know how to apply it. You can go into most Catholics around the world and hurt Christ out on the cross and paid for the sins of the world and come back from the dead.

Don’t they believe that? And haven’t got a clue where they go when they die because they’re trusting me. They’re married. They’re trusting the father of the priest. They’re trusting their confession. They’re trusting the church. They’re trusting the money they give. They’re trusting their prayers and so on. They didn’t trust the one who died for them because they don’t understand. So that’s why we’ve been given a wonderful message. And then says in verse 18, they part my garments among them.

They cast lots upon my vesture. The soldiers gaveled for his clothes at the foot of the cross. He said, I saw all of that. I saw that. But he says in verse 22, I will declare thy name unto my brother in the midst of the congregation while I praise thee. Now hold your place right here. I want you to see that. Look in the book of Hebrews in chapter two. The book of Hebrews and chapter two. We are there in the New Testament.

Hebrew chapter two. Hebrews chapter two, and you’ll notice they’re in verse nine. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels. For the suffering of death. So the angels don’t die. So he had to become a man if he was going to die for the world, and he had to be a near-tencement. He had to be a man that would die for us, but he had to be an innocent man. He had to be pure.

If he wasn’t, he had to pay for his own sins. So Jesus was born, lived under the law, but the law could not condemn him to death because he had done nothing wrong. Now the Romans and the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the chief priests, they condemned him to die, but that was a false kangaroo court and it wasn’t done according to law. They had evidence that he had done anything wrong. When he did say that he was the Son of God, did he lie?

He didn’t lie. He told the truth. He says, I am the way the truth is in life, but he wasn’t lying. When he said, I am the Son of God, was he lying? He wasn’t lying. They didn’t catch him in a lie. And when he says, destroy this temple in three days, I’ll raise it again. Well, he wasn’t talking about the temple that was there. They just to understand. He was talking about his body. So he didn’t lie. See here in verse 9, but we see Jesus who had made a little more than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor that he by the grace of God, the grace of God means no man deserved God’s grace, grace is undeserved.

Christ coming and doing this for us, that’s grace because there’s no merit that demands God do this for us. Man has done nothing to deserve what he got. So he did this because of grace that he should taste death for how many people, only for the elect. Now all people, every man, and he says that this is what he did and notice what he said in verse 10, for it became him for whom are all things. I buy whom are all things in bringing many sons into glory.

See those who trust Christ as Savior, they become a child of God. So He has brought us, remember it says in Romans 3, 23, for all have sin and come short of the glory of God, the perfection of God. But when you trust Christ is your Savior, He’s bringing many sons into glory, into perfection. So He says here, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through suffering. This is what He’s talking about in Hebrews 5. We’re looking at it later.

Now in verse 11, for both he that sanctifyeth and they who are sanctified are all of one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren. See, When Christ died, He was the just for the unjust, as it says in 1 Peter 3 verse 18, just for the unjust that He might bring us to God. So He’s the one who sanctified us, made us pure and holy and acceptable to God. So He’s not ashamed of what He’s done and who we are in Christ.

Now the Bible does make the statement for you and I as far as our lives goes. He says, abide in him, my little children, that when he shall appear, we may not be ashamed before him at his coming. So we will be ashamed that we did not live the way our father wanted us to live. But he’s not ashamed because of his children, because we have been made pure and holy. We believed that what he did, he did it for us.

So Christ coming back from the dead, if he had not, he could not have saved anybody. He did that because he loved this. Then notice what he says here. Down here in verse 14, now get this, for as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same. So he took upon himself flesh and blood like a human that through death, he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil, and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

In other words, we had no way of delivering ourselves. And people lived in fear knowing that one day they’re going to die, but not knowing where you’re going when you die. Now I know one day if God’s a terry, I’m going a die. And so are you. But I don’t have to live in fear of death. Because I believe in someone who died and was buried and came back from the dead. I believe that. So I know that my body is going to be in the grave and I don’t care what they do with it after I’m through with it.

Just make sure that I’m through with it. Don’t put me no casket ahead of time. He was telling him, bomb me when I’m haven’t left yet. But anyway, that’s why I told people I said, I’m not sure about this cremation business. Somebody trying to burn my body, and I’m not through with it yet. Wouldn’t it be a terrible way to go? One night I was there in, after the Georgian, my sister and that she was dying in the hospital.

And so everybody left, and I’ve got to watch my sister and that, so I’m sitting there all night long. And you know, you kind of sat there in the chair and you get drowsy and knowin. You look up and make sure she’s all right. So I got up and I’ll go in and I’ll look at her and she’s barely breathing. And I know that she’s gonna pass at any moment. So I go back over and I sit down and I watch for a while.

And the TV was on. And I didn’t know it, but I had fell asleep. When I fell asleep, all of a sudden I heard, naked, naked, over my eyes. And I was so tired, out my eyes, and there was in it. She had sat up in the bed and she was looking at me. As she’s supposed to be dying, she looks at me and she says, yank it. I said, what the heck? She says, keep me out of here.

Hurry, get me out of here. This is why she says, the place is on fire. It’s on fire. So naturally in my mind, I thought, he’s going to hell. She’s going to hell and she just got a glint some hell and she’s going to hell. I said, net. There’s no fire here. Yes, there is. There’s a fire in here. Get me out of here.” I walked over to her bed and I looked at the TV. And there was a fire on TV.

They were showing some kind of a fire in the place as a blaze and so on and on. And she had focused on the TV when she woke up. So I had to come and get it back to sleep. And I thought, I led her to the Lord years ago. And it’s not as important as when that day where you’re going to leave this world. And so anyway, we wound up taking her to our house and she died in our home.

And she was my sister that always got me in trouble. But you know what, now my sister’s in heaven. And I don’t guess I might have to ever get revenge on her now. Oh, she’s up in heaven. I thought about that before I witnessed her. Do I really want her to go? Yes, I just want to get in the story. But now, notice, down in the bottom of verse 14, that through death, through death, through death, that had theossibility of death.

In verse 15, and deliver them, who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Nowhib this, for verily he took not on him , the nature of angels, but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherein all things, it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and a faithful high priest and things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. telling you this is why he did what he did to make reconciliation for the people.

In other words, we had been given the ministry of reconciliation, reconciling people back to God. So when we talk to people about what Christ did for them, if they accept Christ as their payment. . They are reconciled with God, and God is satisfied, and therefore God doesn’t have His wrath upon them, and they do not suffer the wrath of God in hell, because Christ took their wrath. And they get to go to heaven on what Christ did on the cross for us.

But it’s laid out that way. It just says it’s so easy. It’s so simple. And so we believe that this is what the Scriptures are talking about. Go back to the book of Psalms. When I first touched the Lord and got to read some of these books, I didn’t know how to pronounce some of those words. Do the wrong of mine? Do you have a good or wrong of mine? The book of Leviticus? Book of Malachi? And book of Job?

Book of Poms? I didn’t understand some of those books. And so I had no clue what those names were, not a pronounced them. Levitechus, you know, just all these different ones they got in the Bible. But in the book of Psalms in chapter 22, Luke, what he says down here in verse 24, For he hath not despised nor adhered the affliction of the afflicted. Neither hath he hid his face from him, but when he cried unto him, he heard, My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation, I will pay my vows before them that fear him.”

And now there’s a verse here that I believe teaches eternal security. See there in verse 26, the meek shall eat and be satisfied, that shall praise the Lord that seek him, your heart shall live for how long? So because of what Christ did on the cross, to reconcile us unto him, to give us this free gift of everlasting life, so that you and I could live forever. And he also gives us a reason why we need to trust the Lord because we’re all going to die.

So you see there in verse 29, all they that be fad upon earth shall eat and worship, all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him and get this, none can keep alive his own soul. You know everybody trying to do everything they can to try to see how long they can live. Now I’ve already done decided, I don’t think I will live in more than maybe 150 years. And so I got a few years to go yet.

So I got about another 75 years to go. So I’m just gonna wait until about 150 years and go. Am I in charge of that? Just because you wanna live a long time, does that mean you have the power to make it happen? We are alive today only by the grace of God. We could have been taken out of here, and when we get to heaven, we’re gonna truly be amazed how many times God saved our lives and sent little angels at the right time.

See everybody got guardian angels. I’ve got about five of them and they all put in for transfers. They have to ride with me anyway. But we do have these guardian angels. But no man can keep alive his own soul. That’s why we’re to take the message and declare unto a future generation, that are coming down the road and we keep telling them about what Christ did. Let me give this first before we call it. Look at Isaiah 53. Isaiah chapter 53.

Christ died and paid for the sins of everybody. So when you say all, that’s all. When you say many, all is still many. So you notice what He says here in verse 10. Isaiah chapter 53 verse 10. And look what He says here, yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him. He had put him to grief when thou shalt make his soul and offering for sin. He shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days. That’s resurrection. He’s going to die.

And see there in verse 9 he made his grave with the wicked. You don’t usually bear people unless they’re dead. So he’s going to die And the why did he die? Because up in verse 6 he says, all we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way. And the Lord had played upon him the iniquity of us all. So that’s why Christ died. And the Lord smit his own son. But that’s not the end of the story.

Verse 11, he shall see of the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied. By his knowledge shall my righteous servant, which is Christ, justify many, for he shall bear their iniquities. The Bible say that he paid for our sins, he bore our sins. The Bible keeps saying this over and over and over again, in the Old Testament. Therefore, will I divide him a portion with the great? In other words, what is Christ going to get? Because of what he did.

And so he’s made this statement that he’s going to get something. And the book of Psalms chapter 2, he is going to get an inheritance. It’s the people that he saved, the one who trust him as Savior. You see, when we trust Christ, I say that we’re born of God. And so we’re children of God and God is going to take us. And give us to the Son. That’s why he makes the statement in John 637, all that the Father giveth me shall come to me.

And him to come at me I would know why he’s cast out. So the Father is giving us to the Son because this is what he deserves because of what he did. So he gets something out of this. He gets us. What do we get? We get him. We are heirs of God, join heirs with Christ. Praise the Lord and glory hallelujah. Keep getting up. All right. Look up here. This is you and me. Wallet represents sin. We all have sin on us.

God loves us. But He hates our sin. Because you see, our sin separates us from the Lord. And sin has to be paid. And since we’re all guilty, we’re all condemned. So we’re all going to have to die. Be separated from God for all eternity. But God loves us and wants us to go to heaven. We’d have to be perfect, and none of us are perfect. God says you cannot save yourself by your works, by your good deeds. You cannot earn eternal life.

This hand represents Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. Came into the world because He loves us, hates our sin, because it separates us from Him. So Jesus Christ who had no sin didn’t have to die. So He took all of our sins, paid for them on the cross, and came back from the dead and said if we believe He did it for us, He would give us as a free gift ever lasting life. where you get to go to heaven on what Jesus Christ did for us.

That’s the best news in all the world. And we need to keep good attitudes, proper attitudes, think right so that we can keep doing this simple little thing of telling people how to go to heaven. Cause that’s the most important thing in all the world. Let’s pray, shall we? With every head bowed and every eye closed. No one looking around. If you’re here tonight and you’ve never trusted Christ as your savior, would you do that right now? in a moment of time, just in a small brief moment, you can make a decision that can change your destiny.

If you just say in your mind and you believe it between you and God, Lord, I’m a sinner. And that’s just being honest. But God loves you and that’s being honest. He died for you. That’s just being honest. But he was buried and came back again from the dead. He paid for your sins. And he said, if you would believe he did it for you, he would give you eternal life. You can believe that. You can believe it. You can do that.

It’s not asking you to stop something or join something. It’s just asking you, will you believe this? And if you’ll believe it, God said, he that believeth half of our lasting life. You believe it. God will save you. And if you’re watching by internet and you’ve never trust the Lord, right now, right where you are, there’s a little sign on the screen that says, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior. If you will, we’d love to hear from you.

Now we’ve got to do it just click it and let’s us know that somebody trusts the Lord. We don’t know who, but we know that someone did. Follow we ask your blessings upon each person here. We thank you for all you’ve done for us and follow for the study of your word, help each one of us to be found faithful in Christ and we pray. Amen.
