See, there’s things about this world and sins God didn’t want us to know, but God has the pestis. Do you really love him enough that you will obey his word even though that fruit looks so good and the devil is saying look he’s holding back something from you. You can know something that you don’t know. You can, you see, don’t you have a desire? Don’t you want to? Isn’t that what the least most Christians astray? The desire for the things of this world.
Otherwise everyone who trusted Christ is Savior would automatically serve the Lord with all their heart if it wasn’t because the devil is tempting them, luring them, lying, deceiving, stripping you of many of the blessings of life that you could have. And then the rewards that you could have when you get to heaven, because you see, if you don’t serve the Lord fully, without your heart, why? Why? If it makes sense, and you know it’s right, why not? So they, Lord God said, behold, the man has become his one of us to know good and evil.
The Lord said that. This is after they had sinned. So evidently the devil did tell him some truth. They would know something that God didn’t want him to know. He didn’t want you to know what it was like to sin. He didn’t want you to expand and know all the… Do you think that if the… This had to be done all over again and Adam and Eve could see the consequences, the result of their sin that they might reconsider.
If you ever made some bad decisions and done committed some sins that if you had to do it again you might reconsider because now you know how bad it is. You know you see consequences. You see death. You see the miseries. See people in the nursing home. What they’re going through. The pain, the agony. If you only knew what it was like ahead of time well maybe you would really consider. But the Lord wanted them just to take me at my word.
Trust me. And so the devil is going to try to tell you, why should you trust him? Well, one is God. He doesn’t lie. And he wants to show us just how much he loves us. So there’s this test of love. First John 2.50 says, love not the world. Neither the things that are in the world. If any love the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. This is what the Bible tells us. So you can love the things of the world.
Do you love them more than you love God? Because if you love God, then serve Him. If you love Him, I’m talking to those who know Christ is Savior, then you serve Him. If you don’t love Him, you’re not going to serve Him. Then you’re going to try and see, what can I get out of this world and do whatever you want? They whatever you want, but it has nothing to do with what God wants. Life is short. You don’t want to get this wrong.
In 1 John 2, 16 talks about the lust of the flesh is not a father but is of the world, the lust of the flesh. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes is not of the Father but is of the world. And when the woman saw that the tree was pleasant to the eyes, so he’s all the same. The devil has an ingredient to put into his little eyes that works for him.
And he knows what to do. He knows how to Laudian, deceive you, ruin your life, break your heart. He knows all of these things. He knows every trick there is. This is why when you study the book of Ephesians in chapter 6, be strong in the Lord and the power of his might that you may be able to stand to stand against the wiles on the tricks of the smears of the devil because he’s trying to destroy your life.
And the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of this world. When the woman saw the tree was designed to make one wise, I’ll be smarter than everybody else. I don’t know something nobody else knows that we strive to want to be above somebody, everybody. And whatever it is that we want to achieve, we want to make more money than somebody. We want to nice our house and what somebody else has. We got to have a nicer car than what somebody else has.
We got to have more and more and more and more and more. There’s things that you have to have in this life. God, not talking about that. He said, do you love them? Those things more than you love me. The test of love, love not the world, these are the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. This is the big test. And God allows you to be tested.
Do you love the Lord enough to say no to the devil? To love the Lord enough to say no to the desires of the flesh and the lust of the eyes in the pride of life. How much do you love the Lord? What are you going to be tested? Your whole life. That’s why the Bible talks about it in the first Peter in chapter 1. He talks about, and the trial of your faith. Been much more precious than gold and silver.
Don’t be tried with fire. Might be found in the praise, honor, and glory at the period of Jesus Christ. Your faith is on trial. Do you love the Lord? This amazing, that’s not the love we. And just like, you know, that little girl, if you look at you, do you love me. Your wife says, do you still love me? And there’s the Lord says, do you love me? Do you love me? I want to bealbumed. She took the fruit.
I want to know. She took the fruit. They’re all and did eat. You say, what was that fruit? Wasn’t it an apple? I wasn’t there. people say it was a banana because it had a peel. But that was a jewel, that was choice. She took the fruit there on and did eat. She took. She ate. And then what she did she do. She took. She ate. She gave. Now, are we going to blame the woman for everything? Why not?
You realize we could have been back in the garden of eating strawberries right now? But she took the fruit, she ate the fruit. She gave also unto her husband with her and he did eat. But now in first Timothy says, and Adam was not deceived. Adam was not deceived. He knew what he was doing. But the woman was deceived and she was still part of the transaction. She was still committing to sin. She still rebelled against God’s will. So therefore she gave to him.
But he didn’t sin the same as she did. But the Bible says in Romans in chapter 5, verse 12, work work by one man. Doesn’t mention the woman. One man sin entered into the world death by sin. So death passed upon all men. So everybody that’s ever born into this world, going to die. That’s why you’re going to die, because we came from a man who rebelled against God and the sinful nature has put a curse upon all mankind.
And so we all going to die. Now get this. Also says in verse 14 of Romans chapter 5, it says, nevertheless death rained from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the some militude or the same time, the same way, the same lightness as Adam’s transgression. You see Eve was deceived. Adam was not deceived. So Adam made his decision because evidently, this is a whole yank-eology, he loved her more than he loved God. He loved her so much and this is another thing to keep in mind.
He knew what he was doing. He was not deceived, but he would rather die with her than live without her. And this is why he makes a statement of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that wants to come. In other words, Jesus was in a sense like Adam. Adam did what he did because he loved. When Jesus came into this world, why did he die for our sins? He didn’t have to die. He’s not not to save it, because he would rather die than live without us.
He was willing to take up on himself. I’ll ever sin and die in our place. You see, it’s a wonderful story of love. I don’t have a one particular day that I love my wife more than another. I love the same all the time. I want to be the best husband she’s ever had. I want to be the only husband she ever gets. When did death come into the world? For all have what? Sin and come short of the glory of God.
So we’ve all sinned. But there’s results of sin. Guilt. There’s this guilt that we have because we do wrong. This is why if you’re sensitive and teachable and spiritual in any way, when you do something wrong to somebody, there is a guilt that you have. You feel guilty. Why? Because you’re guilty. Because I’m supposed to have guilt, but aren’t you glad that we can confess our sins to the Lord and He forgives us? Or isn’t it wonderful when we wrong somebody, we can say, I’m sorry, I was wrong.
Will you forgive me? And then they say, no. So then you hate them for the rest of your life. No. And the eyes of them both were open and they knew. They knew. Now see, they know something they didn’t know before. Now they knew they’re a naked and they so thick leaves together and made themselves apron. So they went from leaves to leather, leaves to leather, because God had to do something for them. It brings separation. It’s a result.
Separation from God and Adam and his wife hidden themselves from the presence of the Lord. In the book of Isaiah in chapter 61, our sins have separated between us and God. That’s why whenever I do the little wall of illustration, God loves us, but He hates our sin, but our sin separates us from Christ, separates us from God. Our sin separates. This is what sin did in the garden. They weren’t talking with the Lord, walking in Him, walking in the corner, and being like, wouldn’t that be wonderful?
But because of sin. How many sins did they have to commit to get kicked out of the garden? One sin. That’s how important that one sin was. how critical it was. But they hid themselves and people today are still running and hiding from God because mainly because of guilt. And this is why a lot of people live in sin, tonary begging the God, and they feel guilty, but the way to ease their guilt is not to get right with God.
It’s past laws that says what they’re doing isn’t sin anymore. It’s not wrong. So justify homosexuality, justify abortion, and therefore you don’t have to feel guilty. But will it work? It doesn’t work. Laws cannot take it away. Death in the day that thou eat is there of thou shalt surely die. Now yes, they were separated, so there’s a spiritual separation. And then the Bible says that they shall surely die. Well, when you say, well, the day they ate it didn’t surely not.
Well, wait, wait, not so fast. What did God do the day they sinned? He took an innocent animal. And what did He do with that innocent animal? Nobody knows. He took the life of an innocent animal and made coats of skin and clothed them because The thing leaves they made and that wouldn’t work. So they died that very day. But lo and behold, because of grace, an innocent animal died. Now they didn’t literally die that day. When you and I trust Christ as our Savior, in the eyes of God, when did we die?
When we trusted Christ as our Savior, I was crucified with Christ. That moment I trusted Lord, His death is put to my account. I’m a dead man. That’s why the law can never condemn me because I’m a dead man. The law can not condemn a man that’s already dead. He can never be brought back into court again. I have died. Therefore, there’s nothing that can be laid against my charge, why? Because I’m a dead man. I died the day I trusted Christ as my savior because his death was put to my account and all my sins are paid and I was raised to walk in newness of life.
There’s more truth than that, But that’s just a brief idea. So man was cursed. The ground was cursed. And he settled the atom because thou have heartened into the voice of thy wife and hath eaten of the tree in which I could many of these say, thou shall not eat of it, curses the ground, for thy say, and sorrow shall thou eat of it all the days of thy life. Like all the days of thy life needs your going to die.
Your life is limited. And then he tells us that, because of how long you live, You’re gonna die. Adam and Eve began to die physically. In the sweat of thy face shall thou eat bread, till thou return. God knew that they weren’t dead that day, but there was a substitute made for them on that day. Something died in their place. This is called grace. It is appointed unto every man once to die and after this to judgment. But lo and behold, I’ve already trusted Christ as my Savior.
I will never have to face that judgment, though it’s a true statement. Till thou return unto the ground, for out of it was thou taken, for dust thou art and unto dust, saith thou thou art. return. You’re going to die. The how long? Adam did not die for another nine hundred and thirty years, but he did die. Now, does that picture of them look as good as the day they were created? Anything changed? They look, oh, no. Have you looked in the mirror lately?
Remember, today is the best you will look probably for the rest of your life. Isn’t that enough to to break your heart. Sin takes its toll. Look at Peter Mott over there. Look at Peter Mott how young he looks. Peter stand up, look at, just stand up, just stand up there Peter. He’s a young good looking handsome man, but guess what? He’s going to die. He’ll just have more dirt than somebody else to go these are men. Who likes stepping on snakes?
Has anybody ever stepped on a snake? I have been all around snakes. I don’t like stepping on snakes. But here’s what the Bible says in Genesis 3, 6, 15. And I will put empathy between the and the woman that he was saying. Eve and between thy seed and her seed, which is Christ. Because Satan down the road is going to have his man and Jesus down the road is going to be from the seed of a woman. there’s going to be a showdown and it takes place at the cross.
Shabbos thy head, defeat Satan, thou shalt bruise his heel, crucifixive. If there’s a snake down there and I stop it with my heel, well I bruise my heel, but I crushed its snake’s head. When Christ died on that cross, yes he was bruised, but the snake was crushed. Satan has already been defeated. You see he’s just in the process of his dying, just like you and I are in the process of our dying. It’s coming. The innocent died for the guilty, innocent because the lamb that was used as a sacrifice, through a sacrifice with God’s picture of Jesus Christ.
And unto Adam also into his wife, did the Lord, made coats of skin and clothed it, and God did this. That’s called grace. So that very day they didn’t die. But on anything the animal did in their place. They were exiled. Therefore the Lord God sent them from the garden of Eden to till the ground from whence He was taken. Think about this. It didn’t have to be this way. But God gave them a test. If any one of us had been there in the garden, we would have done exactly the same thing.
You see Adam and Eve were not made perfect. They were made innocent. They had the capacity to send. It’s like if I had a glass up here, it’s capable of holding water. There’s no water in it, but it’s capable of holding water. And so he made Adam and Eve. They didn’t have any sinful nature, but they had the capacity to make decisions. God has given us the capacity to make decisions. Some good, some bad. And so Satan comes along and says, you need a little of this.
So he drove out the man in place at the east of the Garden of Eden Charaben. and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep the way of the tree of life. Remember those two trees in the garden? Tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So they ate this fruit and they became sinners. And God says, if they eat the fruit of this tree of life, they can live forever as a sinner.
Did you realize how long we get to live as sinners? So far, I have lived 75 years as a 100% center, but some people will might live to be 100. What if you lived to be 150? How many years would you want to live as a center? Forever? Wouldn’t that be a terrible way to live? God has blessed us by letting us die after a certain period of time. Three score in ten three score in ten. I don’t know how many that is a Scorer is 20 years three score would be 60 And Cain would be 70.
So if you get to 70, you’re doing good. But anything over that is hardly and sorrow, more misery, and sooner or later, we fly away. Read the 90th Psalm. It’ll tell you all about it. But we’re all going to die now. And the Lord God said, behold, the man has become as one of us to no good and evil. Now, unless he put forth his hand and take also the tree of life and eat and live forever, it is God’s grace to allow us not to allow us to live forever as we are.
So, aren’t you glad we finally get to die? When he put him in the garden and took him out of the garden and now they were to till the land. Did you know that by requiring man to work was such a blessing? The worst thing in the world is when you don’t know what to do and don’t have anything to do, no desire to do anything. Aren’t you glad you have to work for a living? So I’ll never follow about it like that.
But you would be the most bored individual. I enjoy always having something to do. Always got something to do. Now, and the angels said unto them, fear not for me, whole I bring you good time and a great joy which I’ll be to all people. And for under you, as born this day in the city of David, a savior which is Christ’s Lord, this is the one that we’re talking about. So we came. Why would God want to save sinners?
Cause we need a savior. Why would God want to save sinners? Because of God’s love. We need a Savior. But you see, you’ve got to understand there is a biblical code. It’s a code that helps you to understand the whole Bible. Anybody know what it is? You don’t know what it is yet. It’s a divine code. Not of the vengeance, it’s a divine code. For God so loved the world that he gave his only be gotten to the Sunday, who so ever believe it didn’t him should not perish but have everlasting life.
You see the whole thing about us trusting Christ is so we can have everlasting life live forever. That’s how God intended it in the beginning. But now He says, I can show you how much I love you. I will pay for your sins so I can give you everlasting life. Why would God want to save us center, God’s grace. You say, God wants to save us. But why? Because you see, He wants to show His grace for all eternity.
In the book of Ephesians in chapter 2 and verse 7, it’s like we are the trophies of God’s grace, that in the ages to come, God might show forth the riches of His grace through those trophies of grace. See, when God saves you, you’re like one of his little trophies. This is a result of my grace. It’s grace to us, but it was God earned it. God earned this. God worked for this. We’re safe because of the work of Christ.
It is God’s plan of salvation. You see, man can’t get to heaven and brag about, look at me. How great I am. This was all done because of the grace of God that in the ages to come, he might show the exceeding He enriches them as grace toward us. Talk about his kindness, his goodness. How did God want to save us through his grace? Not our works. For by grace that you saved through faith that not in yourselves, it is the gift of God, not in works.
You can’t earn it. Otherwise God had to brag along how great you were. Know what how great God is. God wants to save it because of God’s goodness. You see in verse 10, he says this, to show His goodness through our good works. You see, when you trusted Christ as your Savior, you know how God wants to show how good He is through your good works. God wants to use you to manifest the love of God. And the best way we can manifest the love of God is telling people how much God loves them.
And it’s the gospel of Jesus Christ that enables us to tell this most important, wonderful message that we’ve been privileged to tell. Now, Ephesians 2, 10 says, for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, onto good works where God hath before ordained that we should, walking, that you may not, but it’s the will of God. It’s what God wants to do. God wants us to let people know how good God is. Aren’t you glad God is a good God?
What if God had been a bad God? Would there be a terrible wayiblical live? God gets up in the morning, He looks over the banister down at you, He said, I’m gonna get you today. Now some of you probably think that’s what He does. I mean, have you ever felt like I just need to go back to bed? I shouldn’t have got out of bed today or I got up on the wrong side. You’ve heard stuff like that. That’s why it is so important.
Know the Lord, love the Lord, and realize that all of it’s about the love of God. Do you think that God is going to test you in your life? See whether or not how much do you love it? He said, why did this happen? Why did that happen? Because God wanted to do you love him more than your money. He said, well, I love God more than money. Okay, God said, okay, I’ll see if you can take away your money.
Now you still love God? I love God more than my help. I’m thinking God, take away your help. Now you still love God? What if Ted took away everything that you have? And all you’ve got left is the Lord, because he says he’ll never leave you and never forsake you, right? He didn’t say he’s going to have good health all your life. He didn’t say he’s going to have good money all your life. He didn’t say you’re going to have your love with all your life.
They never promised that, but he wanted to do your love in. Do your love in. Let’s appear. Letting this hand represent you and me. The wallet represents sin. We all have sin on us. God loves us and we hate our sin, but he loves us. Always remember that. God loves you. He loves everybody, but he doesn’t love our sin. And for us to pay for sin is eternal separation from God. The wages sin is dead. That’s why because when we sin, we all are going to die.
But God loves and wants us to go to heaven. If you go to heaven, you have to be perfect. As righteous as God. And none of us are perfect. None of us are righteous. We have all sinned. Jesus Christ came into the world. The Holy is born in the Eucharist, day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Jesus Christ came into the world. He loves us. Hey, Charles, send me to call it our sins.
Separates us from the Lord. And so Christ took the sin, because he didn’t have to, But he won’t show us how much he loves us. So he took that which separates us. He took all the sin, paid for them and the cross came back from the dead. And said the only thing that he wanted us to do is believe he did it for us. Well, you believe that he loved you that much, that he paid for your sin, and will you accept him as your savior?
He’s the only savior there is. Don’t trust the church, don’t trust the preacher, don’t trust your money, don’t trust anything. How can you go wrong by trusting the only true and living God there is? So when you trust Christ as your savior, It gives you a free gift everlasting life, and you can know that you’re going to heaven whenever you die. Let’s pray, shall we? With heads bound, knives, clothes, and no one looking around. If you’re here today and you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, I pray that you will.
Or if you’re watching my internet, realize the only thing you have to do is the only thing you can do was you will eat it when he did it, he did it for you. He loves you so much. And if you’re making that decision, the trust of Christ as your Savior, I’d like to know, I like to have prayer for you. But I don’t know who you are. I don’t know if you trust them or not. So I’m gonna ask you just a moment to raise your hand.
I’m not gonna ask you to come forward. I’m gonna ask you to stand up, but right where you are, raise me your hand just lets me know that what I said made sense to you. You’re saying, preacher, that made sense to me. And today I will accept Christ as my savior. I believe he died and paid for my sins. And if you’ll trust him right now, he said he would save you right now and give you eternal life. Would you believe it?
I pray that you will. And if you will trust the Lord, would you just sit in it very quickly, but rather than I’d like to just pray for you, not gonna embarrass you, not gonna trick you, or anything like that. Or if you’re watching my internet, but on the screen, say, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior. Would you do it? Our Father, we thank you again for your blessings. Thank you for all you’ve done for us. Well, thanks for that you put in your word how things began, while they are the way they are.
And your solution to the problem. And I ask your blessing to the one, person here and those that are watching by internet. Let your users message for your honor and glory.
