I want you to take your Bible and turn to the book of Philippians, the book of Philippians. It’s right before the book of Colossians. So the book of Philippians in chapter 3, I want you to see that the Bible does teach that the Apostle Paul, believe that when you trust Christ as your Savior, you are a citizen of heaven. So he says here in Philippians chapter 3, in verse 20, for our manner of life, our citizenship here is in heaven.

From whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change our vile body, that it might be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able, even to subdue all things unto himself. Now we know that when we trust Christ as our Savior, We’re born into God’s family, born from above. Our citizenship is in heaven. Then according to 2 Corinthians chapter 5, we are here in this world as ambassadors for Christ.

So we’re really citizens of another world. We represent God here on earth. So we’re representatives of the Lord. We’re ambassadors for Christ. And so we’re here to win as many people as we can to Christ, to live the way we’re supposed to live that honors our Heavenly Father, and knowing and believing that He will move us wherever He wants us, allows whatever to come into our life that He deems necessary, because He has a higher purpose than our little understanding.

We don’t get everything, but we’re here to totally just trust the Lord and keep doing what we know we’re supposed to be doing. Now, we know this is in the Bible, and we know this is true, but some people get to where they believe that once you become a child of God and you’re in the Lord’s family, that you’re no longer supposed to honor your country or honor your laws or honor the flag. And I know a lot of Baptist preachers today that no longer pledge allegiance to the flag.

They don’t care about the Constitution. They don’t care about anything. And so they’re in total rebellion. And so people like that can get to be troublemakers. They want to be a martyr. They want to see how much they can suffer, you know, for doing right and taking a stand. But the only thing is, I think they’re taking a wrong stand. I believe that I also am a citizen of this country. Now I was born here in America and I’ve been raised here in America, but when I became a Christian, well, see, after I become a Christian, I don’t have to take care of my wife anymore because now I’m a Christian.

Now, whenever I was a lost man and I was a citizen of this world, well, I had responsibility. I had to go to work. Well, now I’m a Christian. I don’t have to go to work. I don’t have to worry about whether she gets anything to eat or place a sleep. I don’t have to worry about housing. I don’t have to worry about transportation. I don’t worry about nothing like I want to go. I’m a citizen of heaven and I’m not a citizen of America anymore.

So since I’m not a citizen of America, I don’t have any responsibilities. Now you wouldn’t buy that, would you? But there’s people who say, well, I shouldn’t help defend our country and they become pacifists. I do believe in the military. I believe in a strong military. I do believe in taking someone else’s life if they’re trying to take my life. I don’t know why, but I’m just still funny like that. And so I’ve got a physical body and I want to live as long as I possibly can live.

And if somebody breaks into my home, I’m a citizen of another country. Anything I have you can have. Come right on and let me help you. I’ll load it up for you. I don’t think so. What doesn’t the Bible say that if a man suges, you give him that coat and another one too? He wants you to go a mile, go two miles, really? Yeah, that’s in the kingdom. And in the kingdom I won’t mind doing that. But I’m not there.

And there’s a lot of things the Lord laid down for how it’s going to be in the kingdom. Somebody slaps you on one cheek, turn the other cheek. In the kingdom I will. But we’re not there yet. And He’s not ruling down here yet. So therefore, I’m not ready to move in that direction where I’m just going to lay down and die. laid down and died and give up. I don’t believe so. Take your Bible and look in the book of Acts chapter 22.

The book of Acts in chapter 22. Now we know the Apostle Paul was one of the greatest servants that God ever has. I mean it’s recorded. His whole life is ministry. And so here we know that the apostle Paul was a believer in Christ. He went into God used to write the book of Philippians and so we knew he understood he was a citizen of heaven. But when it came time for him to go to Rome the Bible says he appealed on the Caesar.

He did and so look in verse 25 and as they bound him with thongs Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Christian of another country? He didn’t say that, did he? What did he say? I’m a Roman. Paul was a Roman. Now you know whenever he was talking in another place, he says, I’m a Hebrew. I’m a Jew. I’m a tribe of Benjamin. But here he knew and he knew the law.

He knew that he was a citizen of Rome Just because he trusted Christ as Savior, he didn’t stop being a citizen. He has two births, doesn’t he? Well, my physical body is still living here. And when I’ve trusted Christ as my Savior and I became a child of God, wasn’t that wonderful? The government doesn’t want me to pay taxes anymore. Isn’t that great? I don’t think so either. Do you have to still pay taxes on your house? Well, I’m a Christian now.

I shouldn’t have to do that. I’m a Christian. No, you still have that responsibility. You still are in your first birth, your physical birth. I’m still in this body living in this world, living in this country under these laws, and I am still to obey those laws. Otherwise, why would it says, obey every ordinance of man for testimony’s sake? And when those laws supersede the laws of God, then you have to make a decision and suffer the consequences. Now notice, he says in verse 26, when this centurion heard that he went and told the chief captain, say him, this or take heed what thou doeth, this man is a Roman, then the chief captain came and said unto him, tell me, or thou a Roman?

He said, yes. And the chief captain answered with a great sum attained, I this freedom. And Paul says, I was born free, probably meaning his dad was either paid for his freedom, and therefore he was born as a free citizen of Rome. He says, then straight away they departed from him, which should have examined him, and the chief captain also was afraid after he knew that he was a Roman. Now Paul used his citizenship. He was a Roman still and he used that because he still has to answer and he knew the law and he could appeal to Caesar which he did and that’s why he wind up going into Rome.

So you and I are still here and we have responsibility. We can’t just say I don’t have to do that anymore because well in a way you know I’m not a citizen of my country. I don’t have to honor my country. Well I still believe that I should and therefore for him, I will. Now, I want to mention to you a couple of things. As you have read the Scriptures, if you study the life of Christ, you’re talking about Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, you studied the life of Christ.

And have you found one time in all of these Scriptures where Jesus had to apologize to anybody for anything? You You can’t find where he apologized to anybody. Do you recall where he had to ask somebody for forgiveness? You don’t know where that’s at in the Bible? Well if you read the whole Bible out of all the things that God has done, I mean all the wars that God told Israel to what to do and Daniel and those guys that were burned up in the burning fiery furnace, all the things that were done because…

. . . . . . . . You know, the lions didn’t need a Daniel, but did they eat up anybody else? And even told about the women and children, you know, when it was told to take care of the Malachites. And Josh was going into the land and all the people that they killed. All these things that went on, do you find anywhere where the Lord apologizes to us for all those bad decisions He made? Does he apologize for kicking Adam out of the garden of Eden?

You know, that was too harsh. He should apologize for that and ask the human race to forgive him. Don’t you think that’d be a good idea? There’s nothing in the scriptures where you find where God had made a mistake. If there is one, what was it? Making us? Well, that couldn’t have been a mistake, but the Bible goes through these things and and he tells us where God explains why he did things. And if we understand the reason why God did those things, it helps us to understand God.

But God doesn’t go through an apologetic tour. I could get sidetracked so easy. But I won’t. But you and I, when we’re wrong, we always admit we’re wrong, right? When we’re wrong, we always should admit when we’re wrong, right? Oh, maybe. If you are wrong, you ought to admit it. There’s this little boy. This little boy got his ball and got his bat. He went outside and he held up his bat and his balls. I’m the greatest batter in the world.

He threw the ball up, put everything into it. He missed the ball. He picked up the ball. I’m the greatest batter in the world. He throws the ball up in the air. We’ve missed the ball again. He says, I’m the greatest batter in the world. He threw the ball up in the air. And he missed the ball again. He says, strike three. I’m the greatest pitcher in the world. Now some people will admit when they are not what they think they imagine themselves to be.

Or you just simply say, well, I didn’t really want to do that anyway. That’s not what I meant. And we excuse sometimes ourselves. Now, once we trust Christ as our Savior, which is a wonderful thing, and it gives us this free gift of everlasting life, and then we know we’re going to heaven. Now over the years I’ve seen where I’ve had a lot of people that have trusted Christ of Savior. But getting them to maturity is a different state of affairs.

It’s almost like pulling teeth, getting somebody to grow in the Lord. But as a few people they maturity, they go on and you don’t have to walk through and hold their hand. They want to experiment for themselves and see what God has for them and what they can do. So you got to cut them and let them go and do whatever they want. Now you can only advise them if they want it before you could tell them what to do.

And after they get out of school, they’re on their own. Now take your Bible and turn to the book of Matthew chapter 6. Matthew chapter 6. And notice that there’s an interesting verse here in Matthew chapter 6 and look in verse 32. He says, for after all these things do the Gentile seek, for your heavenly Father knoweth that you have need of all these things, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things, see those three little words, shall be added.

Did you realize that when you trusted Christ as your Savior, you became, yes, a child of God, but did you realize what came with it? That if you and I would just serve the Lord, we’ve got freely all things to enjoy. There’s so much more, but it would be like a person getting on a ship, staying in the room, and looking at life through that little hole. Instead of, you realize you can go on top deck, and you can look out there and see the whole ocean in every direction.

There’s all this food galore. And you know that so So many of God’s people will never experience anything because they live in fear. They’re afraid to trust God, afraid to step out. And don’t we often say that we’re supposed to live by faith? Faith isn’t always seen. But we look not at those things which are seen, but at that which is not seen. We take God at His Word and live like a free man. So I believe that a lot of things that we need to understand about our country.

I want you to take your notes here and just look at your notes. In the third paragraph down where it says, another thing to remember. You see, God has given us a great country, great freedom, and some people have lived and died to give us this freedom. Do you think if they knew we were going to turn this country over to a bunch of communists to ruin this country, they would have been willing to die? That dishonors every person that’s ever joined the military and everyone that died to give us freedom, that’s not why they died.

They died so that we could maintain our freedom and our liberty, and we fight other countries, and yet let the philosophy of those countries that produce those enemies into our schools and universities and into our government to take over our country. And we’re doing it either willingly or ignorantly, we’re doing it. we are not the same if our founding fathers was alive today. That’d be a revolution in a minute. And I’m talking about they’d go to arms immediately and start fighting and taking back our country.

Now, look at this statement. Another thing to remember, Karl Marx in creating the communist manifesto. Now, a couple of years ago, I gave y’all some papers on the humanist manifesto We’re John Dewey in the public education and how they were going to take over our country, our educational system, and they’ve done that. They followed it to a team. There is a plan and it’s not some theory that we’re trying to, you know, propagate upon anybody. It’s a simple fact.

They say, this is what you do to overthrow a country. This is what you do and how to implement the takeover. You see, the Democrats today are socialist. They’re going to communism. That’s their philosophy. That’s why there’s nothing that you can do that changed them. They will not be changed. You won’t win them over. No more than you’re gonna win a communist country over. It fails, but because they are willing to do anything be as mean as necessary. Kill if necessary.

Ride if necessary. We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg on all the stuff that’s going on. But anyway, I don’t want to get sidetracked. Look at the next statement here. As a test to determine whether a society has become communist or not. If they are all in effect and enforced, then the people are practicing communist. It’s just like this, a person, a Christian. You know Christ is your Savior. You’re going to heaven when you die. You know you have eternal life, but in your life, in your life, after you’ve done all of that, trust and try, is it possible for a Christian to live his life like an atheist?

Like God doesn’t exist. He knows God exists, but he doesn’t pray. He doesn’t walk with God, he doesn’t go to church, he doesn’t do anything God wants him to do, as he still saved, but living like an atheist. Is it possible? Is it possible to live in America where we can have believers? At the same time, we don’t live like free people. We’re part of a communist takeover because we’re afraid to expose it because we’re afraid of the consequences.

Somewhere along the line, I lost my fear a long time ago and the older I get the less afraid I am. So I’m gonna die one of these days anyway right? So I’m getting closer so anyway look at it number two. Now there’s ten planks here with a little comments on them but you’ll notice that these are the ten planks of the communist manifesto and you’ll find out every one of these all ten of them are in effect in America.

In our government in Washington. There has been legislation passed to fulfill every one of these things. They’re trying to implement them. And lo and behold, there’s a few people pushing back against some of this stuff. And I don’t believe you can solve it without bloodshed. And that’s enough to scare most people half the day. Because you see, you’ve got two ideologies. We would say, here’s America. Okay, here’s Russia. If Russia wants to destroy us, we say we’re gonna attack and we’re gonna fight because we’re fighting for our freedom.

Okay, we’re here, but so are they. You got two different parties. But now we’ve got communists in both parties. In the philosophical views of government. And this is why we’re so bent on having as many social welfare programs as possible. Have you heard the statement? Everybody has a right to health care. You ever heard that statement? Where is that in the Constitution? It ain’t in there. You have a right. I mean, there’s a Bill of Rights, you look at them and see which one of those applies to that, not a one.

But if they repeat it often enough, it would become true to a lot of people. And they will believe it and they will fight for it. We’re living in a place in a time where we all would like to have, you know, be taken that something happens to it and cause things to happen. But we know one of these days, regardless of how much health care we need, it ain’t gonna be enough. Sooner or later we are gonna succumb to physical death and we’re gonna die.

And some people die early than others. Some people can be healthy and killed in a lot of ways. We don’t know how long we’re going to live. But the key is living well the time that we live. Now, number two, a heavy, progressive, or graduated income tax. Do we have that one? Did you know we lived about 150 years before this ever became a reality because America didn’t need it. It was always done by a direct tax. But it was on a certain way of how it had to be done.

And so, therefore, it’s a graduation. It’s a redistribution of wealth. And so you’re able to take more from those who make more and less from those who make less. And you said, well, that’s fair. And you’ve heard over and over again, you’ve got to do your fair share. You ever heard those words? Fair share. Find that in the Constitution. It’s not in there either. You won’t find it anywhere. And so these things like the Federal Reserve, the income tax, the 16th Amendment all came within a short period of time.

And I believe Woodrow Wilson was the president this time, but in 1894, it was ruled unconstitutional, the so-called income tax, because they had to change it to where you can tax income from any source, but not the source. And so then that would be acceptable. But you can’t tax the income. And this is where we totally misunderstand about all these things. but I’m not going to get into all that right now. I want you to look over there at number 10.

Look at number 10. Number 10, have you ever heard of a free education? Rowan, it’s free, public school education is free. It’s free. That means nobody pays for it, right? I mean, it’s free. If it’s free, nobody pays for it. Oh, you do have to pay for it. Did you know, let’s take for example, we got worn down here and let’s say he’s not married. He’s married, but let’s say he’s not married. And so he doesn’t have a wife and he don’t have any kids.

Now using your senses of understanding, your discernment, why should this man pay to educate your kids? Whose kids are they? Well if you’re your kids, they’re not his kids. Isn’t it your responsibility to raise those kids, close those kids, feed those kids, educate those kids. That’s your job. Don’t make him pay for it. Well, how do you make him pay for it? Property taxes. Probably 80% of your property taxes goes to the public schools and then they teach the kids how to tax you more and take away more of your money Because they wanted for other things too.

So as these kids are going to be taught, you owe it. And the more you make the more you ought to give until they run out of people’s money. That’s why socialism doesn’t work, at least, to a dictatorship in communism. But look at the first statement. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production. Now get this, one day, maybe not too far down the road, it won’t be that you’ve got children who, I wanna be a doctor, I wanna be a lawyer, I wanna be a fireman, I wanna be a policeman.

No, the government will say, we need some policemen, and you be a policeman, you be a policeman, and we need some fireman, you be a fireman, and now your education is gonna be as preparing you for the job the government wants. Because, see, you are a, have you ever heard the words human resources? When you talk about a state and it’s wealth, you can have mineral rights, you can have water rights, you can have corn, or you can have wheat, you can have something, trees, or human resources.

In other words, you belong to the state, you are their human resource. And therefore, They can use you for whatever person will say what? They can tax you whatever they want. So you wind up working for the state. You live for the state to exist. And so that little monster gets bigger and bigger and bigger. Have you noticed, even when things are hard, government grows? You ever noticed that? Government always grows. Taxes always keeps going up, but because when the less people work, well, they got to charge more taxes because less people are paying.

So the ones that are working have to pay more. And then the money that you have is worthless. I mean, it’s worthless, worthless. You ever hear of a silver dollar? You ever heard of a $20 gold piece? $20 gold piece, silver dollar? Did you realize that years ago when they printed money when they first started, it was back silver certificate? Then words, you could take that $1 and go into the bank and get one silver dollar for that paper dollar.

Anybody remember any of this? That’s because you’re old enough. Glad to see your hand. Because it was backed by something of equal value. And the price would stay the same. And lo and behold, you could get a gallon of gas for 15 cents. Did you know that you’re still paying the same amount for that gas? It’s just that, see that money now, you got to have two or three dollars. Yeah, but it’s still the same value. It just means that taking more of this paper money that has no value.

And that’s why they call it fiat money. It’s not backed by anything. And you can’t take one of your greenbacks today and go into the bank and offer them that greenback and they’ll give you a silver dollar. It won’t work. But if you were to go to your home and dig out of your little box that you have at home or you have a few little gold coins and silver coins, get one of those silver dollars. Go down to the bank and tell them you wanna get some green bags for it.

And they’ll give you one dollar.
