Look at the next statement. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer? Son of the morning? and how are thou cut down to the ground? Which did weaken the nations? And if he can weaken the nations, he can weaken you. You see, Satan was gonna do everything possible because we all have a sinful nature to lure us. And I’ve said this before. If the rat didn’t like cheese, you could not use cheese to lure the rat. There’s something on the inside of the rat that says, mmm, I like cheese.

And you put it on that little trap and that little mausi goes over there And once he gets some of that cheese, back, got it. How did he get trapped? Because there was something inside, he was lured. Satan knows about the sinful nature. You got yours from him through our parents. But it all came from the devil. And that’s why he wants to lure you until the lust of the flesh body and the lust of the eyes, which you see, and the pride of life, pride.

The man wants fame, honor, power, and glory. And so the devil knows he can use those things and draw you away from the Lord. That’s why all of God’s children don’t always serve the Lord. Because Satan is luring, because you have a sinful nature still within you. Look at the next statement. This is what he said, for thou have said in thine heart, I will ascend in the heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit upon the Mount of the congregation in the sides of the North, and Isaiah 14, in verse 13.

And then he says, I will ascend above the height of the clouds. I will be like the most high. Do you notice anything that I highlighted? Do you notice any of those words that I highlighted? I will. I will is the rebellion against God’s will. So whenever you trust that Christ is saving, yet you’re God’s child, you’re going to heaven when you die. But for your Christian life, you’d be surprised how many of God’s children say, I will go to church, I will not go to church, I will give, I will not give.

I will witness, I will not. I will, whatever, you have a will and sometimes your will clashes with the will of God. Whenever your will clashes with the will of God, you are supposed to submit your will to God. If you don’t submit your will to God, you’re not submitted to God. If you’re living your life the way you want to live, and it’s not toward Godliness the way God wants you to live, you’re not committed to the Lord.

You’re not submissive to the Lord’s will. You are in rebellion. Is it possible for you to come to church this morning? Sing, stand, pray, give, and be in rebellion to God. And your heart not be right with God. God knows that. and you are not going to win. You will not win. You will not get away with it. Your heavenly Father who loves you, going to beat the tar out of you. Now look at the next statement. No down at the bottom.

God cannot sin nor does he tempt any man to sin because it’s a verse in the Bible that says this. Look, for we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin. He was without sin. God does not tempt any man to sin, sin did not originate with God. In 1 John chapter 3 in verse 5, and ye know that he was manifest to take away our sins.

And in him is no sin. There’s no sin in Christ. That’s why when you trusted Christ as your Savior, the Bible says you were born of God and he places you in him and in him there is no sin. And placing you in Christ, you have to be perfect to be in Christ. That’s why the new birth… It means you’re born of God. You see my old sinful nature? Does nobody hear this old first birth? That’s the flesh born to this world with a physical body, with an old sinful nature.

But when I trusted Christ as my Savior, God gave me a new birth, spiritual birth, born of God, no sinful nature, no sinful nature, no sin, no sin, no die, lives for eternity. I have two births, flesh, spirit. When I die physically, I have two, I have two. this one they bury and this one I get to go to be with the Lord in heaven and as long as I live on this earth God says this one is in Him and he said he’ll never cast me out of Him he’ll never lose me so I am in Him in a perfect place because my new birth is perfect and this is the one that’s going to heaven and you say well what if you’re still sin of the he did that this one cannot sin What God to God?

Number two, God does create evil if we understand by this evil means he did not create sin. He created the evil or the results of sin. For example, you may choose to rebel against the Lord. Your choice and you can commit any sin you want, but your heavenly Father can determine the consequences. In other whether or not is he going to take you home, leave you here and be miserable or be sick, whatever you, but God is not going to let you do whatever you want to do and get away with it.

Just because you have eternal life in your God’s child does not mean you can live as you please and get away with it. Can you live as you please? Yes you can, but you can’t get away with it. There is pleasure in sin for a season. Of course there is. Otherwise people wouldn’t do it. It’s part of our nature, but it’s not part of a godly nature. It’s rebellion to God and there’s consequences to our sins. And you’d be surprised as we get older, we see more of the consequences of our sins that we’d committed years and years ago.

Down to the bottom of the page, God does create evil in that He produces or determine the consequences for the sins we commit. He says, I formed the light, create darkness, and create evil. I the Lord do all these things. So when you choose to sin, God can choose how He’s going to punish you. Isn’t it true that when you were in your parents’ home and you disobeyed and you can choose what to obey and not to obey, but it’s your parents that can choose whether or not to stand you in the corner, on your head, make you spit wooden nickels, mow the lawn, make up the bed, wash the car, or beat the tar out of you.

their choice and it’s not always the same. Page 2, consequences of sin. Are the consequences be not deceived? God is not mocked. What’s your overman soeth that shall he also reap? In other words, you ask for it. You ask for it. So if you go through life happy and you’ve got a good reason because you obey the Lord, well praise the Lord. If you go through life and you’re miserable because you’re disobedient good, I’m glad. Number one, bad root produces bad fruit.

Even so every good tree brings a fourth good fruit but a corrupt tree brings a fourth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. I said, boy that’s a tongue twister. It’s simple. Just remember the two natures. There’s a bad tree and a good tree. This good tree can’t bring forth anything bad and the bad tree can’t bring forth anything good. You see, the good one is the new birth and the battery is the over the ones of sin and the other one is divine holy.

Piece of cake. But when people don’t know about these two births then they get all these verses all mixed up. So it’s where’s it coming from? Why do we do the things that we do? Say the mean hurtful hateful things that we do. Well because we got no sinful nature. And sin hardens. Sin hardens the heart of any man. When you begin to tolerate sin in your life, you’re hardening the sensitivities to rebel against sin. You’re hardening yourself against the will of God.

Now get this. Number two, the heart is the root, is deceitful above things and desperately wicked who can know it. Now the Bible tells us who can know it and that’s the Lord. The Lord knows about our sinful wicked hearts and so He gives us His Word to let us know how bad we really are. God is holy and righteous and just and perfect. Man is not and the things that we think that are not bad, God says that is an abomination to God.

Do you think that in the mind of God in the eyes of God that is okay for a woman to murder her child in her womb? That’s murder. No other way she ceased that life and purposely doing so at his murder. Now, and well everybody does that. No everybody doesn’t do that. And it doesn’t make it right. Homosexuals today, they’re getting out to the place where if you start talking about some of these issues, these sins, you’re going to be in trouble.

Well, I guess I’m going to be in trouble because I can’t preach the Bible when I preach it again sin. It’s either in the Bible or it’s not. That’s why I needed a Savior. That’s why you need a Savior. God wants us to walk godly lives, live a holy life. Why? Because that’s the will of God. Now, if we don’t care about the will of God, take and put the Bible in the trash can and go live however you want to live, where we take it seriously.

Look at the next statement. In In number three, I, the Lord, search the heart. I try the reins. Even get this to give every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doing. There’s a God in heaven that watches every one of us. And you’re gonna reap what you sow and you’re not gonna like it. You can’t rebel against God and when. No man can. You can’t resist God and the will of God and then think you’re gonna have a wonderful peaceful, No, no, there’s a price to pay.

There’s the wages of sin is death. And one day, yes, you’re going to die. And because you’re a child of God, you’re gonna have to give an account at the judgments of Christ. And God’s gonna reward you for what you’ve done, but you don’t suffer the loss of what you could have had. Sin’s have been paid for. You don’t go to heaven to pay for sin. You don’t go to heaven to be punished. But you’re gonna suffer the loss of things that you could have had.

And there’s gonna be a certain amount of praise, honor, and glory that you forfeited. Now get this. Number four, for from within out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adultery, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, alessiviousness, and evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolish. All these evil things come from where? The person sent beside you. Comes from within you. We all have this sinful nature. You didn’t know you were so wicked, did you? Did you know that these things, God says, like the homosexual today, men with men, women with women?

That’s an abomination in the eyes of God. It is sinful and it’s wicked. And love doesn’t justify where we love each other. No, you feel at lust and it’s wrong and it’s still wicked. You can’t make it right. People are not lived together unless you’re married. I hope you understand what I’m saying. I don’t write the Bible but I made it promise of an appreciate and I’m not worried about winning one friend and I don’t worry about losing anybody.

I always preach every sermon with my suitcase packed right up here. If I was going to start compromising I should have done it years ago. I’m too close to glory now to don’t worry about it as we’re moving right along. The next statement number five for the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. But there is consequences to sin. And just because you get saved doesn’t mean the consequences of your sin stops.

You just don’t have to pay the penalty for them in hell. But there’s natural consequences in your life. And I’ve used this before but if I had me some, you know, a fifth up here, I always say if you don’t hit the fifth on the fourth, you’ll be to go forth on the fifth. But if I take this and I drink it all up, whoop, and it’s just a social drink, but the more I drink, the more sociable I get.

And it won’t be long before you know you can and I ruin my liver and next thing you know I’ve, I’m gonna die. Well, they say well, drunkenness is a disease. I caught it. I caught this disease. I didn’t wear my mask. If I hadn’t take that drink, it’s amazing I would have never got the disease. No, it’s sin. God calls it drunk in this drunkards. Well, they just, they have a substance abuse. That sounds so much easier. You’re a drunkard.

You’re a liar. You’re a thief. Those are the words God use, is it wrong to tell people what God says? I’m not interested in patting somebody’s shell. Today they go to jail and they get the TV and the run of the gym and all that, you know, getting free room and board and dental work and all that, you know, almost pays to go to jail. I’m not recommending it. Christ paid our sin dead. Note, one sin is so bad that God would condemn a person to hell forever.

Think about it. Once sin is so bad, God would condemn a man to hell for all eternity. But… God’s love is so great that he sent his only son to die to pay the total sin debt for every man. Now that reveals the love of God. See, without sin in the world, we would never know that God was a God of love. How would you tell? God is a God of love. How do you know? How would you prove it?

And you would never know that God was a just God, a righteous God, a holy God, unless sin came into the world, came into the world, but it revealed more about God that you and I would never have known by just being created by God, but now because we’ve been born into God’s family by our choice. We can accept Christ or reject Christ. But I would have never known that God was a God of forgiveness. I didn’t have to be forgiven.

I wouldn’t know if God was compassionate enough. God loved me and didn’t want How many go to hell? That’s compassion. Jesus looked upon the multitude and was moved by compassion because they had a, you know, sheep without a shepherd. I wouldn’t know that the law of God demands righteousness. I wouldn’t know about the justice of God that sin has to be paid. See, there’s a lot about God. We’d never know if God had never allowed the sin to come into the world.

Cause we’ll often think, well, if God is so powerful, why did he let it happen? He’s gonna stop that all from the beginning. The Bible says that Jesus Christ was slain in the mind of God before the foundations of this world. It means that God already had a plan before he ever made the first man. I like that. You ought to write that down after your statement. Look at the next statement. For I delivered unto you, first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins.

Why did He die to pay for our sins? So that you could just have a relationship with God. No, you pay for my sins so that I wouldn’t have to pay for my sins in hell. That’s where I was headed and every man is condemned So you need yes, I do have a personal relationship with God and I want you to know that he’s more real to me than the clothes I’ve got on my back But I’m having this wonderful relationship with God and I also have the fellowship where I can walk with God That’s all because I was born into God’s family because I accepted the payment he made for my sins Well, that fact, you don’t have a relationship with God.

And a lot of people have been led astray and comforted in them. Well, I’m just having this wonderful walk with God. Where are you going today? Well, I hope I go to heaven. You don’t have a relationship with God. You’re deceived. There is no relationship. You see, my kids are related to me. Why? They were born into my family. Now, look at the next statement. And you being dead in your sins, I’m separated from God because of sin. And it’s uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.

By the time this was written, a few years had passed after the resurrection of Christ, and he’s telling them that Christ had already paid for their sins, and that they’re forgiven because they trusted Christ as their Savior, which means that Christ paid for the sins in advance. Has Christ already paid for all my sins? Some people believe he paid for all my sins up to the time I believe. He paid for all my sins. Because if I don’t wait in another week, trust the Lord a week later, did he pay for those?

What if I wait another year? Well, he paid for those two. What if I wait until right before I die? Well, he paid for all those two. But if I trust the Lord here, didn’t he already still pay for all those? He’s not coming back to do it again. He paid for my sins once and for all on the cross. The next part of that verse is blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.

In other words, all those things that you’ve been doing, for a minute now I’m gonna play God. I saw you. Don’t laugh, I saw you too. All the things you’re doing wrong, John John, I just saw what you were thinking. Trent, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. So I’m gonna make this list and I’m checking it twice, find out who’s been naughty or nice. All these bad things that we’ve done. Christ went to the cross and nailed it to His cross.

He paid for your sins. Paid for all of them. And the only thing you have to do, and the only thing I have to do is believe He did it for us. It was wonderful at the hospital. I got a chance to have about four or five that trusted Christ the Savior, just by explaining the gospel to them. And it was so neat. I talked to two of them that knew they were going to heaven until they send again.

When you think that you’re saving till you send again, you ain’t going. And so it’s great to be able to show that Christ died for all of your sins. And when you trust Him, it’s safe that He gives you eternal life. That’s the best news in the world. Look at number three. To him give all the prophets witness that through his name, whosoever that would be anybody, keep the 10 commandments and go to Calvary Community Church. Now I didn’t say all that.

Whosoever believe it in him shall receive remission. That means that your sins are not admitted until you believe it. He has formed the basis of which you can have your sins taken away by believing he did it for you. Whosoever believe it. And also he says in the book of John in chapter 4 that when you believe his righteousness is imputed to you if we believe. So I believe his righteousness is given to me. I’m forgiven. I’m going to heaven.

Not because of any good thing that I’ve done but because of what he did on the cross for me. Look at the next statement. Number four, be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins. And by him, all that believe are justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. Acts 13, 38, and 39. Two great verses. Will you believe Christ died to pay for your sins?

you and I, we are sinners. We have sinned against God. We have missed the mark of perfection. That’s right in your life that you live. You are not always right. Your wife told me to tell you that. You’re not always right and you may not always be wrong, but you’re not perfect in this life. Oh my new birth is perfect, But I still got this old man I’m dragging around. One of these days I’m gonna just let him die.

He’s just gonna die. And I don’t know when it’s gonna be, but it could be at any time now. It wouldn’t bother me none. Alright, you can put your notes aside. That was the introduction to my sermon. Fifteen, if you looked around at the clock, I don’t believe you. Alright, look up here. This hand represents you and me. This wallet represents our sins. You hear me all the same time, say that God loves us, but He hates our sin.

But see, the fruits of our sins, because we have a bad root in us. It’s our nature to sin. We are naturally rebellious. And you see that. Do you know that? Do you understand that? And even after you trust Christ as your Savior, you still have that root of rebellion inside of you. And a lot of people carry it right into their Christian life. And they deceived themselves thinking, I don’t do anything wrong. Everything’s fine. And they’re as rebellious as they can be.

Now God says to pay for the sin is separation from God. Being separated from God in a literal fire burning hell. I need a Savior to save me from hell. I’ll worry about this relationship and this fellowship later. I just give me fire insurance. I’ve heard people say that, so shame these people talking about just trying to, using God as a fire in the shore. I can’t think of a better reason. But anyway, God loves me. Hates my sin.

But for me to pay for my sin is eternal separation from God, in hell. But God loves me, wants me to go to heaven, but to go to heaven, I can’t, I can’t take any sin with me. But I got an old sinful nature instant inside of me. God can’t get me there and leave my sinful nature here, Because it’s me. So God says, you cannot change you. That’s why it’s ridiculous for you to try to do something that’s totally impossible.

One is you can’t stop sending. It must as you’d love to. You can start from the day for the rest of your life. I’ll never commit another sin. Oh, that was a lie. Because it’s impossible. It’s like asking a dog, dog, don’t act like a dog and I’ll make you chicken. When’s that gonna happen? This isn’t right here, I represent Jesus Christ. He’s the Lord God in the flesh. He came into the world because He loves us. He hates our sin because our sin separates us from the Lord.

So Jesus Christ, He can get to me and I can get to Him because sin separates. So Christ who had no sin didn’t have to die, He took all the sin of all the world, paid for them across. He came back from the dead and said the only thing He wanted me to do was believe that He did it for me. Well, I believe He paid for my sins. Christ died for my sins. Best five words in the Bible.

And all I had to do was believe it. And he would get put this payments he’d to my, and I’m forgiven of everything I’ve ever done. I go to heaven, not based upon anything that I’ve done, but it’s all because of what he did on the cross for me. Now after I became a child of God, yes he gave me the free gift of everlasting life. I know I’m going to heaven when I die. In my Christian life, I started reading the Bible.

And the more I read, the more I love the Lord. And the more I love the Lord, the more I want to please the Lord. And more I wanted to please the Lord, more I saw that my life was not pleasing to the Lord. So you see, getting into the Word of God and studying the Word of God is the best key you’ll ever have to transform your life. He says, be not conformed to this world, but be transformed.

You see, you can’t transform your life until you transform your mind that you may consider what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. So that’s why it’s so important to study the word of God. So as a Christian, you know, even though you’re not going to ever go to hell, doesn’t mean that they’re not consequences to your rebellion and your disobedience here and now. And God wants to reward you when you get to heaven because you serve them.

There is an advantage for every person to serve the Lord. Not to get to heaven, I’m already going to heaven, but I’m not there yet. But one of these days, in every year I lived, I said, getting closer, well, I’m getting closer. My father-in-law told me Christ was coming back, and I had just trust the Lord, and I was 18 years old. And I was in 1960. 57 years later, I’m still waiting. But I’m 57 years closer. Because one of these days is going to happen, and we’re going to be out of here.

And whatever you have done for the Lord, you’re gonna be so glad you did. Let’s pray, shall we? With every head bound, every eye closed, no one looking around. I’m not gonna have you forward, and I’m gonna embarrass you. I don’t want you to sign anything. Don’t want anything from you. But if what I said made sense to you is a preacher that made sense to me, I wanna definitely know that I’m going to have him when I die.

For the only thing you have to do is to believe that when Christ died, He paid for your sins. Will you accept what He did on the cross for you? And if you accept that payment, say then you have a payment for your sins. And the reason you can’t go to hell today will be because all your sins are paid. And the reason you can’t go to hell in the future because all your sins are paid. He loves you that much.

He did it all at one time. Would you accept Jesus Christ as your savior? I pray that you will. I’m gonna ask you if you will, and let me know by an upraised hand that what I said may sense you, you say, preacher, I will trust Christ is my saving life for you to pray for me. Would you just slip you in it very quickly, put it right back down, and it’s in one at all. If you have trusted Christ as your Savior, realize this, don’t deceive yourself.

What’s a reminder so if that shall you also reap? Do what God wants you to do with your life. Walk with the Lord. Yes, have a personal relationship with the Lord that as a father and son should have, as a child of God with His heavenly Father. Father, I thank You so much for this time together. Bless each one here and we pray, Lord’s, You’ll watch over and take care of us and bless us as You’ve done over and over again and we thank You for Your watch carrying your love and all your provision and you’ve been good to us.
