Look there in John chapter 6. If Jesus Christ is the Lord, then I would expect him to be able to do a lot of things like remember when he went up on the mountain and he was to be tested. And he had an 8 for about 40 days, 40 minutes is enough for me. He had an 8 for 40 days. It says afterwards he was hungry and the devil says, if you are who you claim to be, why don’t you just take those stones and make them in the bread?

I just said, what about hot biscuits? We’re just a little butter in it. I used to take my mom used to make those hot biscuits. And we’d take peanut butter and molasses, and we’d stir it all up. And then we’d just stop it. They need a fork. And you’d just stop it. Just get it all over your face. It’s just a slop. Everyone’s going to know how you get some in your mouth. And that stuff. And he had an eight for 40 days and says, if you have the power, you know what?

Later on, he did, but he did it on his timing, not because of the devil. But here in the book of John, I want you to look at this here. John chapter six, looking verse five, first five says, and when Jesus then lifted up his eyes and saw a great company coming to him, and he said to them, when shall we buy bread that these may eat? Now this he said to prove her to the test and for he knew in himself what he was going to do.

Now he already knew what he was going to do. So he knew before that he’s going to take some you know, fish sandwiches for everybody and there was no McDonald’s around. He’s going to make some. And you never know when he’s going to pull one on you. I have seen God miraculously do things for me that I it just blew my mind, but he doesn’t do it every day of my life. There was one day when I was in college class and I teaching the kid not the word neh, don’t worry, don’t worry, God always come through. I was telling him that because I was word sick. I had a bank note but ten thousand dollars.

I had to have it that morning by nine o’clock when the bank opened. I had no money. We had a $10,000 note at B.P. The leaders in the church, they didn’t know what to do, so they just said, pre-trail handling. So I’m teaching my personal evangelism class at 8 o’clock and I told them I said, I’m gonna have to cut the class short because I’ve got to get down to the bank. And I said, I want to auto pray.

I said, because there’s a big need and I just like to auto pray. I said, I need some money and I’m just trusting the Lord to come through. I was sick. But you know, you’ve got like you got to keep them in the face in the believe them. And I walked out of that classroom and I had to go across the auditorium. And on my way about four or five kids followed me. I turned around and said, look, I’m sorry.

I don’t have time to talk to you right now. Can’t take any questions and answers. So I kept on walking and a couple of them dropped off. By the time I got down to the doctor and right then, it’s a couple more still finds it. So look, I don’t have time. I don’t want to be mean, untying, rude, nothing like that, but I can’t talk to you. right now. So they all dropped off. I went into my office, there’s one new girl, she just followed me right now with this.

I was a little perturbed. I don’t like people defying me all the time, you know. I’m not told what to do. She walked right behind me. And I turned and I said, look, I’m sorry. I didn’t, she says, how much do you need? I said, I need $10,000. She said, okay, she took out a checkbook and she started writing. And I thought, you know, $100, $250, that ain’t going to help me. And that’s a drop in the bucket. This is one of my college students.

She said, bro, I said, what are you doing? She says, I’m writing you out of check. I said, I can’t pay a back. I said, I don’t have any money to pay a back. She says, you don’t have to. She gave it to me and I looked at it for $10,000. I know the college and I didn’t have $100. And here I got a kid sitting here. They can sit and write me out of check for $10,000. And I was trying to get rid of her.

And the Lord was chasing me all down to the hallway, not to the auditorium. They even chased me in my office, trying to get me to take this $10,000. But I didn’t know it. You know what? I’ve had needs like that since then too. I’m often one where she was at and she never did show up. You never know. But that doesn’t limit God. God, because of his wisdom, may choose to meet that particular knee over and above that it just blow your mind.

But he has the power to do it. And you need to recognize that. That’s what causes a Christian never to give up, because prayer and venture the Lord’s will may be this, to work on miracle, to do something wonderful, to do something great. And you don’t know when, you don’t know how you’re going to do it, but he’s God. And he can take the fish and he can take the bread and he can multiply it. And he can take that hundred dollars you’ve got or that five hundred dollars you’ve got.

And he can multiply it, makes you know, you don’t have a clue. How do I know you were able to pay your bill, but you did it. And then years later, you’ll look back and you’ll say, God did this for me. God did this for me. And God, all he wants from you is for you to be thankful and you to praise him. And they give him credit. Sometimes we try to steal honor and glory from God. That’s why whenever people pray, you’ll hear him say, and we’ll give you the praise, the honor, the will give it to you.

know is whether you will or you won’t. And that could be one of the reasons why he doesn’t come through on your behalf because you see he knows just like he knew what was in them. He knew what he was going to do. Look to the Lord and trust him. But he is the Lord over the elements of the world. I want you to look at another one. Look in Matthew chapter 21. Matthew and chapter 21. I’ve often read this and kind of like the stories in charge of nature.

Now we know that sometimes we think, well, but death did all of this and did it, but the devil is limited. He can only do what he does when the Lord gets in permission. So you might credit him with something, but behind the scene there’s a God in heaven that’s in charge. I believe that God is in charge of the weather. I really do. I believe God is in charge of the rain, the hurricane, the tornadoes. I believe God is in charge.

I believe God is in charge of nature, of trees, of birds. Liberty says in verse 18, Matthew chapter 21, now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. When he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it and found nothing there on, but leaves only and said unto it, let no fruit grow on thee henceforth forever. And presently the fig tree withered away. Somebody says, look what kind of a bad attitude he had.

I mean, Jesus was just a man with a bad attitude. Yeah, that’s the tree withered. I don’t give up by his attitude. I’m concerned to feed the tree withered. You want to try it with a good attitude? Just walk up to a tree and be with you and see what happens. But do you believe that God is in charge of nature? That God can bring the storms, that God can waddle the grass, that God can cause the drown. Remember whenever Joseph was sold down into Egypt, did you know the Lord knew that I, 20 years later, hey, I’m gonna bring a big old famine.

You know, Jacob and them, they would have never come down there if they had all the water they needed. Though he wouldn’t send his sons down there to get some food. But there’s a whole story behind it, but God’s the one that says there’s gonna be seven years of twenty seven years of drought. Well, how did, how did they know God’s in charge? He could have let there be fourteen years and I didn’t. Hey, there’s a God who rules in heaven and he knows what he’s doing.

He has a plan and he’s going to work his plan. Whether you, that guy, you don’t and whether you know it or not, he is working in your life. There’s God in heaven that is giving you personalized attention every day of your life. There’s things He’s allowing to come into your life and there’s things He’s withholding from you. He could be blessing you or He could be cursing you based upon an attitude problem that you may have. You see, you might need an attitude adjustment.

Have you ever had children that needed an attitude adjustment but he’s in charge. He’s in charge and he’s God. This is what he does. Look there in Luke chapter 19 and look in verse 30. Luke 19. Jesus was going to go into the city of Jerusalem and He needed a way to get in there and fulfill some scripture. There was a way in which he was going to fulfill this. He told his disciples, he said, I want you to go and find this donkey, this coal.

I believe that it was a wild coat. It says where a man had never sat. Have you ever tried to kill my horses? Never been ridden What do you think happens? And if you ride that horse you still got to be careful in when you don’t ride it for a long time I’ve been thrown from a horse. It is not a good feeling I’ve been on several horses and When you don’t know how to ride a horse and you’re riding along You know and there’s a certain speed that a horse can go and but it is not comfortable There’s a price to pay.

When you get off that horse, you look like a bite out of a donut. This is what happened here. I want you to look there in verse 30. Go into the village over against you in the witch at your entrance you shall find a coal tide. We’re on it yet never man sat and loose him and bring him unto me. And they did that and they brought him and he got on, I don’t think it’s the wisest thing to do, but evidently he must be in charge.

It doesn’t make any difference. Did you know there’s another story where they came to Peter and says, hey, do you in your matinee, do you pay taxes? He said, yeah. Jesus told him and says, you knucklehead, we don’t have to pay that tax of him. But anyway, he says, you didn’t already gave you a word, good on here and catch this certain fish and then that fish is a coin and take that coin and pay our taxes with it.

He knows there was a fish under the water somewhere that has a coin in his mouth. Because he’s gone. He knows we’re all the fish are, but he knows them all by name. And when every one down there to go fishing he just happened to catch the right fish. Evidently, he is in charge of fish, of animals, the animal world, the demon world, the world of nature, the atmosphere, everything. He is Lord of all. He’s in charge of all.

Everything. If you wanted to have a friend, can you think of anybody better to have on your side than the one who is in charge of everything? Everything. To provide food, heal the body, the world, you name it. Nobody has anything on him or over him. He is the preeminent one. There is nothing or nobody greater than the Lord Himself. Let me ask you a question. Do you believe that Jesus has power over death? When he was here, did he ever heal anybody?

You ever heard a man named Lazarus? And here’s this guy that’s been dead for four days and Jesus knew he was dead. But he knew what he was going to do. And when Mary and Martha had questions and darlin’ to pity her, it wouldn’t have happened. He didn’t want to be there. He let him die. He could have kept him from dying. And there’s going to be loved ones that you have. And there’s going to be people sitting right here that God can keep you from dying or He can allow you to die.

He is in charge of death. He’s in charge of life. And sometimes there’s nothing you’re going to do about it. And you have to just accept His will. We didn’t ask to be born. Sometimes we don’t even ask to live. And you may not even ask to die. We’d like it if we didn’t grow old. But we’re going to. We stay here long enough. Take your Bible and turn to the book of 1 John chapter 5. John in chapter 5, is he in charge of death?

Yes, he is. He says he has the keys of death and the hell. He’s in charge. This is why you can’t go wrong by trusting the one that is all powerful, the God that can do anything that you and I know anything about. And to know him as your Savior and to know that you’re walking with one and obey in one that can open up doors you never thought possible and he can close doors he can change things so quickly and blow your mind but always just keep believing keep believing that the one they can do all these things that’s That’s why God says in everything by prayer.

Everything, pray always about everything because we have an unlimited God. Looking first John chapter 5 verse 13, look what he said, this will knock your socks off. Verse 13, these things have I written unto you that they leave on the name of the Son of God. I wonder who that is. Jesus Christ that you may want. Know that you have eternal life. Who said that? The Lord God Himself who has the power over death. He has the power over life.

He has power of eternal life. And He says, I can give eternal life to whosoever who trusts me for it. I can give it to him. Look there in verse 11, this is the record that God have given unto us eternal life. And this life is where in his Son. He the half the Son, Christ, half one, he the half not the son of God, half not life. So whether you have eternal life or not, depending on whether you have the Son.

So when you accept the Son, you get eternal life. That’s why you can never lose eternal life because he says, I will never leave you and I will never forsake you. He is eternal life. Eternal life is an oboeing, it’s a person. Look down here in verse 20, and we know that the Son of God has come and have given us an understanding that we may know him, that is true. And we are in him, that is true. in his Son Jesus Christ.

This is the true God and what? And eternal life. So when you accept him, you have eternal life and he can give eternal life to anybody because he is eternal life. And then he said, I’ll never leave you and I’ll never forsake you. That’s pretty good. Let me quarrel over with this verse. Look there in John chapter 6 and verse 47. John chapter 6 and verse 47. John 6 47 says, very, very, I say unto you, he that believeth on me half that are lasting life.

Do you see why you can trust him? Look who he is. He’s the Lord. He’s the Lord. And he, the Lord, he’s the one that said eternal life is the gift of God. It’s not a works list. Any man should vote. So if he says it’s free, and And it’s a gift. What right with any preacher or any church have to tell you differently? They have no authority. All authority was given to him and he says it’s the gift of God.

Not a works list any man should boast. So when you trust Christ as your Savior, God gives you as a free gift everlasting life. Look up there. This is you and me. This is sin. all have sin on us. Now God says that he loves us, but he hates our sin. And God says the pay for that sin is eternal separation from God in a place called hell. Now you and I, now we don’t want to go to hell.

If this is true, I don’t want to go there. Well who said it was true, the one that has all this power. He’s the one that says more about hell than need in about heaven. Is it what I believe in heaven, but I don’t believe in hell. Where did you find out about heaven? What in the Bible? Well, it also teaches about hell in the Bible. What right do you have to pick and choose? He said, oh, and you don’t need someone to down the cross and pay for your sins to keep you from a place that don’t exist.

God loves us. Wants us to go to heaven and to go to heaven, you have to be perfect at right. This has got to none of us are perfect. all sinners, we cannot save ourselves. The Bible says that Jesus Christ God’s son came into this world. He was perfect. He had no sin, so he didn’t have to die. But he loved us. And he took our sins, paid for them on the cross, came back from the dead. And God said that if we would believe he did it for us, he would put that payment to our account and we get to go to heaven on what Christ did for us.

Now remember this, this morning you are either still lost because you were born in sin, you live in sin, you are not in sin. Or if you believe that Jesus Christ took your sin, then you’re no longer in sin and you no longer have to pay for sin because he paid it for you. So I trusted Christ as my Savior and God gave me the free gift of eternal life. Now He gave me eternal life. How long would it last?

Forever. And if it lasts forever and all my sins are paid, where will I go when I die? They haven’t. Who said so? God. Now is there anybody over Him? Then who can annull it? Who who can change it. He can’t change it. He gave his word. I can’t even change it. When I trusted Christ as my Savior 50 years ago, God gave me eternal life. I became His child. I’m going to heaven when I die. And nobody can change that.

Not even God. God can’t kick me out. He said, I’ll never cast you out and I’ll never leave. That’s His word. That’s His promise. You can’t trust God. Who can I can trust him. I want you to look at this one verse. Matthew 28, Matthew 28, and look in verse 18. Matthew 28, verse 18 says, and Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me. In heaven and in therefore teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever.

I have commanded you and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world, amen. All power. What do you need? You trust that Christ is your Savior. What are you facing? What situation do you have that is just impossible to solve? I know a God who deals with matters I know a God that can shaw anything. He can deliver anybody. But you got to believe him. And trust his wisdom because of all the things that he did, it may not be the proper timing.

He may have something better for you. Sometimes he has a higher calling than letting you live. Trust the Lord. Let’s pray, shall we? Every head, bow, maybe I close, no one looking around. If you hear this morning, and if you have never trusted Jesus Christ, and you’re your Savior. Would you do it? I’m not going to embarrass you. I’m not going to have you stand up or come forward. Don’t want anything from you. But right where you’re sitting, would you just talk to the Lord and say something like this?

Lord, I don’t understand it all. I got a lot of questions, got a lot of doubts. So many things I don’t understand. But Lord, I know I’m a sinner. And I believe that you are who you claim to be. You are the Lord. And I believe you came into this world and died on my cross, paid for my sins. And today I’m going to trust you as my Savior. And if you’ll trust Jesus Christ right now as your Savior, he’ll save you right now.

From hell and give you eternal life and you can know that you’re going to heaven when you get up to leave. You can do it right now. So in the quietness of this moment, is there anyone else that says, yes, that may sense to me. And I’m going to trust Christ as my Savior, and preach I like You to pray for me. Then we just slip your hand up very quickly and put a rut back down. And you don’t even have to raise your hand if you say, God knows who You are and knows where you are.

Let me ask another question. You didn’t know Christ as your Savior. Have you been heavy verdant lately? Is it finances? Is it health? Is it just a thing you just don’t know and don’t understand? Feel frustrated and you just need the Lord to comfort you. Can you just trust the Lord when it seems so impossible? Would you let God have a chance to work it out? Put it in his hands and leave it there. And don’t worry about it.

I can solve so many things in his way. Just lean on him a little bit. You know what the problem is? We’re going to handle it. You and the Lord make a majority. You and the Lord, you can do anything. Our follow we thank you so much for all you’ve done for us and for the power that you have because of who you are. And Lord, we don’t understand sometimes how things are going to work. We can’t see very clearly sometimes.

But father, I know that because of who you are, the wisdom that you have, your timing, your provision, your healing, whatever it is as always, right on time and you’re never late. Help us to learn the lessons you have for us, to go through the experiences because we know what’s best, and help us not to learn our more complaint. Thank you for all you’ve done for us and for these people. Bless each one. In Christ and we pray. Amen.
