We pray that you will enjoy our commitment to the clear gospel of Jesus Christ and that today’s concluding message of this teaching will be a blessing to you and your family.
So now we have trusted Christ as our Savior and He made this statement statement before the found, God had already predetermined something. It’s predetermined that those that are.”,” in Christ are going to be perfect and holy and spotless and withoutarijuana blame before Him in love. But God does not determine who gets ing Christ. You and I are the one that decides, will I trust Christ as my Savior and be placed in Christ? Or will I not? That is my choice.
So I decided a few years ago I would trust Christ’s by Savior so I was born of God placed into His family, placed into the family of God. Now understand this, take your Bible and look there in Ephesians in chapter 3. Ephesians chapter 3 talks about in verse 5 of the whole family of God. there in verse 15, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the get-desk, riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, just for the opportunity, the privilege that God has given to us, not only to be his child, be in his family, going to heaven, but to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit in our life, for the privilege to live in this world with the opportunity to show God how much we love him, and to prove that we love one another by the things that
we do for each other and to each other. Now, has a lot to say there about that, but I once you go back to Ephesians chapter 1. See in verse 5, he says, having predestinated us unto the adoption of children. God has predetermined before the foundations of the world to save all of those who will believe. And so when you believe, predestination is the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, right or wrong before it was ever born.
God had alreadypectioned that everyone who trust him as Savior will have eternal life and he will never cast him out and never lose him. And he’s already determined that all those who reject him as Savior will not have eternal life and will not get to go to heaven. But he turnedly separated from God. So predestination is an act of God. Four knowledge is an attribute of God. That’s what God knows. Just because God knows something doesn’t mean God did something.
God knows a lot. He knows everything you’re gonna do today and tomorrow. Doesn’t make you do it. But he already knows what you’re going to do. But God has predetermined that all those who trust Christ as Savior are gonna have this wonderful opportunity. This adoption into his family. Now see, when I trusted Christ as Savior, I was adopted into his family. But I’m still waiting for the body to be redeemed. He didn’t save my soul, but he didn’t do a thing with this body.
He could have done a little bit, maybe, better. But your body is staying with the same. Your body is still getting old. You’re getting feeble. I know it. Doesn’t make you feel very good. And one of the statements was also written on this piece of paper. They said, a man goes to bed, and he wakes up the way he went. A woman goes to bed and deteriorates. to in the night. I don’t know where these things come from. But you and I need to understand it, now that you are a child of God, going to heaven, you’re in his family.
And God wants us to realize there’s things he will. It’s about. Because what you know is going to determine what you do. And you need to understand just who you are and how rich you are in Christ. So he makes the statement there in verse 6. To the praise of the glory of his grace. You see, this is why salvation cannot be by works. If it was by works, man gets the glory. So God says that He wants the glory and therefore, as this first says, to the praise of the glory of His grace.
We can only say only by the grace of God are we accepted in the beloved. How did we get to be accepted by my good works? No, but because He loved me. He made a payment for my sins and said that if I would believe He did it for me, He’d give me eternal life. EngineDebug He saved me by grace. I don’t deserve it. I didn’t earn it. I didn’t work for it, but He gets the credit for it.
And He wants all the honor and thevolent praise and the glory. And that’s why that verse is so important. Look in verse 6 again. To the praise of the glory of His grace, we’re in He hath made us accepted in the beloved. We’re in, in grace. That’s why when you get to chapter 2 and you read that wonderful verse that we all love, of, look in the vision to 8 and 9. Where he says, 4 by grace are ye saved and that And that not of yourself, for by grace are ye saved through faith, that not of yourself, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
But a lot of times we read those verses and we love those two verses. And sometimes we forget about verse 10. But most times we forget about verse 7. Look at verse 7. That in the ages to come, he might show the exceeding riches of his grace. What did grace buy for us? What did grace do for us? We will be the trophies of God’s grace. God wants to put you up. Look what my grace did for you. You couldn’t do that.
And I graced it that your presence in the presence of God for all eternity is a way of sin. Look what God did. Look at what love produced. Look what His grace did because nothing else can do it. There is no other way. Oh,uably Registe. Well Brachia, lookumerable. Look at verse 7toc 1 againconserv. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. If God forgives me of all my sins, that’s eternal security because I can’t be condemned if all my sins are paid and all my sins are paid.
That’s why he says in John chapter 5 and verse 24 that when we believe on Christ, he says from that moment on, he that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation. I can never be condemned in the future, never condemned again, because I have a payment for all of my sins. So as you go through these first three chapters, you’ll find there’s a lot of things God wants us to know.
So then he wants you to know this………………………………. Look there in chapter 3. In chapter 3, there’s something that he wants you to know there in verse 18, that you may beatican ableImprohind to understand, to know with allixty saints, because God wants every saint to know the same thing. Because what Syriza did for one, he did for everybody. Everybody was saved the same way and everybody becomes a child of God. And every child of God gets the Holy Spirit. And he says, maybe able to comprehend with all saints what is the breath and the length and and to Timberwolves to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge that you might be filled with all the fullness of God that you may be able to understand that he is able to do exceeding the Lord.
He asked the thing according to the power that work within us unto him be glory in the church. And there’s more glory in the church when the church the people on the Lord. So then vehement chapter four and six. You see, once you know what God wants you to know, then it is, the will of God you, you do what He tells you to do. And based upon who we are and what weRel have in Christ, now we are free to serve God.
This is why Paul says in verse one, he says, I am a doulos. I’m a prisoner. I love slave of the Lord. and look what he says there in verse one. I therefore the prison, the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy. Now we’re talking about how you walk, how you’rewhile going to live your life. The calling, wherewith you are called, with all, and this appro to be the attitude that every one of us supposed to have, loneliness, achumility, and meekness with long suffering, forbearing one another in love.
Why? Because in the family of God who no Christ is Savior, in your new birth, and God’s eyes. We only have unity in the new birth. But lo and behold, we’re still living here with the over. There’s the problem. But wouldn’t it be great if we could live here the way God says you’re gonna live there? So he gives us some things to think about and the unity that we’re supposed to have. And so it kind of nails it a little bit here.
I want you to see this. So all these things that we do, as it says in verse three, endeavoring, in other words, this is the purpose, this is the goal, this is what you’re after. Endevern to keep the unity of the Spirit volunt the peace. We should wanna be peacemakers, not troublemakers, as much as possible, as much as lieth within you, seek to be peaceful, as much harmony as you possibly Nicotine. And that’s why he says in verse four, Notice all these things about the one, one, one, one, one Tradable unity.
And verse four, one body, one spirit, one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all who is above all and through all and in you all. And then he says here that every one of us individually haveRoberts been given, yes, the Holy Spirit, to do what God wants us to do with our lives. And so as we read these things and we find out what God wants us to do, let each one of us know that God has a purpose and a job for each one of us to do.
And he makes his statement that Berks he’s given us these things to do. So look down there now in verse 12. And verse 12 says, for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry. So God says, each one of us, we have a ministry. Now, not everyone of God’s children perform their ministry. Not everybody does what they’re supposed to do. That’ll be heaven when we get to heaven when everybody does everything right. Down here we don’t always do everything right.
We say things we shouldn’t say, we cause trouble. It’sritten like this, here’s a mother and father, they’re having a fight. God’s just going at it. And the kids are watching. And when you get through you’ve got to try to tell the kids who’s fault it was. And so the daddy says, come here son. Now you just saw us have a fight didn Scythe. Yes daddy I did. It was all your mother’s fault. And the mother says, come here son.
It was all your daddy’s fault. Now is that really going to help the kidbyn cause him to try to fight now? Who’s right and who’s wrong? Do we ever do this? We don’t ever do stuff like that. Remember that there’s always this issue of whatever we do. we either accept the blame for what we do as an individual or we shift the blame onto somebody else. Individually, always own up to what you are responsible for. Every daddy ought to do this, DevOnline every mother ought to do this, and be responsible for your own action.
The Bible talks about render not evil for evil. You ate, he did that to me. Well, that’s because you only not kicked you in the stomach because you turned around. So you got to blame somebody. You know that started back in the garden, didn’t it? Adam didn’t take responsibility. It was that woman you made. And the woman that was a serpent? And people don’t want to take responsibility for what they do. And it causes disunity. So when you’re talking about with the Lord And you studied the book of Corinthians, you know, find out they had many of those problems because individual, they weren’t practicing what God says to.
There’s not the spirit of forgiveness. We hold grudges. We’re going to get even. Attack. Instead of, I was wrong. I’m sorry. Did you know if a husband and wife have a fight and he simply says, honey, I was wrong, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. Do you know nobody hates him forreenshots? riends, but if he says it’s all your faultenezuela That’s not good He was references to the church.
Father, spitting on the Slayer. There is a rabbi whipping you with some callingah someone giving you that right as an fish kernel. One s the hands of the s the,” He said, and verse 13, talked about hearing a speech as you all hear that recently. Just 6 to study the272 and insert it into the Scriptures of the Statue of the Fourth of the Christ. You wanna measure how you’re doing? The Bible says we’d compare ourselves among ourselves or not wise.
So you wanna measure yourself according to the Lord. How you doing now? You probably see that you might have a little work to do. All of us have a little work to do in all of our lives. And so that’s why he says down here in verse 15, But speaking the truth in love may grow up into him and all things. So learn how to speak, learn what to do, what not to do. And then you have over here in the same chapter, but he’s also talking about in verse 20, but ye have not so learned Christ.
In other words, going the way you’ve always done. Well, that’s the way I am, but it may not be the way you ought to be. Don’t justify wrong. Wrong is wrong. It doesn’t matter who doesn’t. wrong is still wrong. And so we have here in verse 21, if so be that you have heard Him, you’ve listened, you’ve learned, you know, and have been taught by Him. You’ve listened, you’ve learned, you know, and you know what the truth is, you know what’s right.
You’ve got some discernment. And verse 22, that you put off concerning the former behavior, manner of life, the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lust. Do you still have an old man living with you? Yes or no? I mean, you think you do. Let me see your hand. Well, for you that didn’t raise your hand, you do. He’s the one that told you not to raise your hand. You have an old man living inside of you.
You say, I’m only 15. You still got an old man living inside of you. You said, well, I’m a girl. You still got an old man living inside. He said, old sinful nature you got. He’s a bad man. And he’s corrupt and he’s deceptive. He deceived you. Can your old nature deceive a Christian? Right so. It’s good at it. Know what he’s doing. But I know what else he says. In verse 23, be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
In other words, you’ve got to renew how you think. How you think. And how you do that. Well, the word of God. See chapter one, chapter two, chapter three. Tells you how to think. This is telling you what you ought to do now. This is what I want you to do. And so he says, put off and put on. Put off the old man, put on the new one. Act like a child of God. You rise who you are.
You’re a Christian. Live like it. Act like it. Think like it. You’re a child of the king. Use the language of the court. Learn this book. If you’re a child of the king, you’re not a pauper. You’re rich. You know God. You know God. You’re going to heaven when you die. You realize how many people don’t know that? Knowledge is power. And you have a lot of power because you know a lot. You know what God says. Learn it.
Be thankful for it. Use this treasure that we have in these earthen vessels. And so he makes this statement down through here about all the things we’re supposed to do looking verse 24. And that you put on the new man which after God has created in righteousness and true holiness and then he tells you how you’re supposed to, what he means by that. Things to do, things not to do. And he says down in verse 28, let him that stole still.
No more let him raver with his hands. All right, maybe I read that wrong. Let him that stole still no more. Ah, I’m not gonna. So does God want you to clean up your life? Stop things, yes he has. Is it to get to heaven? No, it’s because that’s how God said, you’re his child. You’ve been adopted into his family. You’re supposed to be an image of what God wants you to be. See there in chapter five, look in chapter five verse one.
Be ye, therefore followers of God. That means imitators. Imitate your father. You ever seen children imitate their dad? Isn’t that the problem? And verse 2? Look what he says. Walk in love. He’s telling you how to walk. But in verse 3, fornication, things like that. And all length cleanness. Let it not be once named among you as become of saints. You’re a saint. That means you’ve been made holy and set apart. You belong to God. supposed to live like that.
Because that’s what the word of God says. Down in verse 8, He talks about walk as children of light. He also makes a statement up there in verse 15, see then that you walk circumspectly. What does that mean? Like a long tail cat on the fence with bark and dog on both sides means you better watch your step. There’s a devil who is after you and he wants to devour you and he doesn’t care how he does it. So you You have these wonderful verses like in verse 15, see them that you walk circumspectly, not as full but as wise, redeeming the time.
In verse 17, therefore be not unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And to do all of these things, to do all of these things, he wants us to do because of what we know, and then he talks about the Holy Spirit. He talks about the Holy Spirit, because you see, the Holy Spirit is how God wants to control our life. So it’s us yielding to Him. And if we do that in verse 21, submitting yourselves one to another, it’s gonna take the power of God in your life.
When it says, wives in verse 22, submit yourselves unto your own husband, that’s gonna take a lot of grace of God. And the verse 23 for the husband is the head of the wife and he’s supposed to do it in the nine verse 25. Husband love your wives. You’re gonna take the power of God in your life to do the children. Look in verse one of chapter six, children obey your parents and look. So he’s talking to the whole family.
Does God want unity from the mother and the father and the children? Just a coincidence that they’re all right there because see if it don’t happen in the home it’s gonna be hard for it to happen outside of the home. A church is made up of people, families and this is why it’s so important. You’ve got to do what God tells you to do. You’ve got to do what’s right. And the only way you can do it, the only way I can do it or anybody can do it is the Holy Spirit having the power in our life.
That means you simply yield to what God says. You don’t argue, don’t fight with God, surrender to God and God will bless you for doing so. And so as you go through hearing to read that and then you get into verse 10 of chapter six where he says finally breath, finally breath, be strong in the power of his might. It means realizing that you need his protection. You need his sword, you need his spirit. And as you go through and you say, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and so forth in the high places.
And after we’ve done all that we stand, so God wants us to stand in this world according to the position that we already have in Christ. And if we do, God bless. Now, when we sing that song again today, I want you to really think about what we’re singing. Let’s be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love. The fellowship of kindred mind is like to that above. You know, I heard something this morning. You won’t believe it.
That God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, got in a great big old argument this morning. Did you hear that? If I told you that, would you believe it? No. You wouldn’t believe that. And it shouldn’t happen with us either. In other words, if it doesn’t, it’s because there’s sin somewhere. There’s sin somewhere, right? It’s got to be. Because that’s not the will of God. So here’s why this is so important. All right, look up here.
I can realize that time is moving on and I’m having such a good time. Look up here. This hand represents you and me. And this wallet represents sin. We all have sin on us. Now God says that He loves us. I hate our sin, but He loves us. And God can’t have union with us, let alone unity. He can’t have anything with us. We’re separated from Him. And God can’t let us into heaven because heaven is perfect and weotiation we’re not.
So we have a debt to pay and it’s death in hell. So God says you cannot earn eternal life. You can’t work your way to heaven. This in represent Jesus Christ. the Lord God in the flesh came into the world because He loves us. He hates our sins, but He loves us. And this sin that separates us, we couldn’t do anything about it, but He could. He took the sin upon himself, died in our place to pay for our sins, came back from the dead.
And he said that if you and I, if we would believe that he did it for us, he would put the payment he made to our account. Ours is all gone. All my sins forgiven. And there’s no reason why God can’t have union with me. And this union, he says, will never be broken. Now there’s time when our unity has been broken. And even though you have trusted Christ as your Savior, your God’s child, you’re going to heaven when you die, your union will never be broken, but your unity with your heavenly Father may not produce the harmony and the peace and the joy that you want to have.
You and your wife may be joined together in holy deadlock, but understand you may not have all the unity that you want. True? And the same thing with children, same thing in a church. But you see, God tells us what He wants. Sometimes we come so far short of being what God wants us to be. So it’s a constant effort that we have to make. to love, to forgive, to pray, to do everything we possibly can to help one another, love the Lord a little bit more.
And as dear children of God, be imitators of God, because somebody is following you. Show as much understanding, kindness, and love and gentleness you possibly can show. Everybody’s struggling and everybody needs help and you can do it. Let’s pray, shall we? With heads bowed and I close, no one looking around. If you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, I pray that you would. And if you’re watching by internet, there’s no church here for you to join to go to heaven.
There’s no money you have to give. There’s no promises you have to make, nothing that you have to stop. All you need to do is believe that when Christ died, He died for you. Will you believe that? Will you trust Jesus Christ as your Savior? And if you will, God said He would save you, give eternal life, and you get to go to heaven whenever you die. I pray that you will. And if you will, right there on the screen says, yes, I will trust Christ as my Savior and I pray that you will.
You that are in the auditorium, why not right now? If you’ve never trusted Christ as your Savior, would you do it right now? And by that you mean yes, pray for me, I will trust Christ as my Savior and preach I like you to pray for me. Would you just slip your hand over it quickly and put it right back down? I’m not going to have you forward, not going to embarrass you. But right where you’re sitting, I just like to know what I said, made sense.
Anyone at all. If you have trusted Christ, just save your God’s child. As a child of God, are you living and doing according to your position that you have in Christ? You’re rich in Christ. All the world’s good, you may not have much. But friend, this is just to begin. You ought to see what we’re going to have when we get to heaven. Our Father, we thank you so much for all that you’ve done for us. Thank you for this time together.
