I want to just how doctor-nilly sound our people are. I do not want you to run ahead. Don’t start marking anything. I want you to go as I go. If you jump ahead, you will lose your salvation. Well, maybe not that far. But I want to ask you a few questions. And I want you to be honest. And I want you to make a comment on your paper before I tell you the right answer. You know, the Bible talks about examining yourselves, and unexamined life is not worth living.

So we should always examine. Because when this life is over and it could be over sooner than we think, there’s only two places, one’s called heaven, the other one is called hell. And eternity is long, and you don’t want to get it wrong. So you want to make sure you have got the right answer. to the right question. And so if you look at the headline on this little piece of paper for my sermon today, a false gospel cannot produce a true Christian.

It’s impossible because the Bible says, going to all the world priests, the gospel. So evidently whatever the gospel is is what the people are supposed to hear. So it is possible that people are running and telling things and saying, God said, and God said, I didn’t say that. So there’s a lot of fake news out there and so we want to talk about the truth and whether or not can you discern? Believe it or not the clarity of the gospel is the lens by which you study the rest of scripture and If the gospel isn’t clear then there’s so many other things that will not be clear in the Bible Now I may want to give you a Snickers that you can eat but it comes wrapped up and some people may have the gospel but they’re giving it all wrapped up and people are eating the paper and forgetting all about the good

old Snickers on the inside and so people are falling in love with the rapping and so on and they forget all about what the truth of the gospel really is five simple words. Christ died for my sins. That’s why I’m going to heaven. He died for my sins. And all the other stuff is fluffed. Now all the rest of it doesn’t mean too much at all. Christ died for my sins. Now, Scripture warns us that everyone is doing what is right in his own eyes, Judges 21, 25.

And those days there was no king in Israel. Every man did that which was right in his own eyes. And believe it or not, there are a multitude of people today that are doing what they believe is right in their own eyes. In other words, they’re trying to get to heaven by doing what they believe is right in their eyes. What they think. And there’s many preachers who are telling them that this is what you ought to do. And so I want to go through and explain that.

Now look at the next paragraph. Some are uninformed. Some are misinformed, but many who are properly informed reject the truth. So much of what we believe simply is not true. Remember when it was considered dishonorable to tell a lie. We got people in Washington, they need to remember that. My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge because they have rejected knowledge. It’s not that they didn’t have it, they rejected the knowledge. So you’re destroyed because of what you rejected.

You see, salvation going to heaven is a gift, it’s free. But people have rejected that truth and are trying to earn their salvation by the things that they do the way they live. I will also reject thee that thou shall be no priest to me, sin that hast forgotten the law of thy God. I will also forget thy children. In other words, it’s a great price to pay for rejecting the truth of what God has to say. Now, if there’s anything we want to get right, it’s where am I going to go when I die?

So we all are going to have to die here in order to get there unless the rapture takes place and then maybe we’ll all go together. Well some of y’all might get to go, some of you might not get to go. I don’t know. But salvation is the gift of God and everyone that accepts Christ as the Savior can have this free gift. Look at the next statement. news are lies designed to keep the safe and the lost from believing the truth.

If you’re lost, the devil doesn’t want you to believe the truth, so he lies to you. Once you have trusted Christ as your Savior, the devil lies to you about the Christian life. So so hard. And God’s not going to come through and he’s not going to bless you. He’s not going to keep his word. So you have every reason to worry to fall apart and to be nervous about everything scared because you can’t trust God. You can’t believe anything he says.

So there’s lies. Some people on the news starting to call it fake news. Things that people say but it’s just not the truth. So I wanted to know just how intelligent the people of Calvary community church. Where they really stand? Do you really get it? Do you really get it? Now I am expecting everyone in here to get a total hundred today. You’re going to get a hundred. You hear me? You’re supposed to get a hundred. And if you fail this test, well, we have a man outside there with a bull whip.

And you’re going to beat the Torah out of you. But anyway, look at number one. Number one. Nowhere in scripture would you ever find the the lost been called God’s children. Is that statement true? Is that statement false? And you would say it is true. Nowherealbum where you ever find the lost been called God’s children. And I had a man tell me one time and said, well, I just don’t see how God can let his children go to hell.

He doesn’t. None of God’s children can go to hell. It’s impossible for them to go to hell. Take your Bible very quickly because we will not have time to look at all these verses unless we stay until two o’clock. And I want you to see this John chapter 1 and look in verse. John chapter 1 verse 12. But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God. So, evidently, not everyone is the son of God.

Not everybody is God’s children. And he says to them who believe on him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, specifically even kind to them that believe on his name. So, there is those who believe on Christ. These are the ones that become the sons of God. And if you You have never trusted Christ, of course, than you’re not a child of God. That’s so simple. Now look quickly in the book of Romans in chapter 9.

Romans in chapter 9. Romans chapter 9 verse 8 says, that is they which are the children of the flesh, these are what? Not the children of God. So we know that not everybody is the child of God. Look at number two in your notes. Number two, God is the Father of us all. True or false? That is false. Now some of y’all are going to be very embarrassed whenever you holler out the wrong answer and everybody else hollers out something else and you’re going to get mad and you get getting, you’re going to stop the floor and then walk out and never come back again.

So be sure you’re right. So number two, Galatians 3, 26, look at this verse very quickly because this is one of the verses that we refer to many times here. The book of Galatians chapter 3 verse 26. You’ll see it’s simple stuff, but it’s important things because there’s so many people that are propagating fate new, the stains that are not. Well we’re all over children of God. The Bible doesn’t say, no, we’re not all the children of God. We’re here’s creation.

But now, notice what it says in verse 1, I say, for ye are all the children of God, and it stops right there, right? Now, I’ll say it doesn’t stop there by faith in Christ Jesus. When you put your faith in Christ, yes, now you have eternal life, you’re a child of God. Number three, number three. Even if a man does not turn from all his sins. sins to be saved, he should be willing. Now be careful here. Every man should be willing to turn from sin in order to be saved.

False. It is false. It is false. And not everybody’s going to miss that one. Now you don’t have to turn from your sins to be saved. And neither do you have to be willing to turn from your sins to be saved. And neither do you have to be willing to be made willing to turn from)| your sins to be saved because he has nothing to do. Look in John in chapter one. This is a very important verse. I want you to see this verse.

It’s right there. Look in verse 13. Verse 13. John chapter 1 verse 13 says, which were born because you see you were born of God in verse 12, which were born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man. So it was not accorded well, I’m willing to turn for my sins. I’m willing to do it. Man’s will cannot save him. Only by trusting Christ and believing on him can you have eternal life.

And you may want to be safe and you go to church and live a good life and you give money and do all the wonderful things. Well, that’s wonderful. That’s great. That’s good, but it won’t get you to heaven. You see, good work doesn’t pay for your bad. You need a payment for your sins. Number four, a man is saved by grace, but it does not hurt to try being good, also just in case. That would be false. Well, you’re all on the same page if you’re either right or on, but you’re all on the same page.

Romans 11 and verse 6. Look at Romans 11 and verse 6. Romans chapter 11 and verse 6. Now you’ll notice a calvary community church we do believe in using the Bible because I believe that that is the source of our authority. The preacher is not the boss. He leads and guides you in the study of the scriptures but the book is the book. This is where the authority comes from. with what he says in verse 6, and if by grace, then is it is no more of works.

Otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace. Otherwise work is no more work. In other words, you see either by grace or by works, but it can’t be both ways. In other words, I’m trusting Christ in Him alone, but just in case. I’m going to do good works just in case. Now wait a minute, this just in case means you’re not really trusting Him. You’re trusting Him and you. Well, are you really trusting Him to save you if it depends upon you performing?

You’re part of the bargain. It’s not a bargain like that. Salvation is the gift of God, it’s not of works. And so it’s either by grace or it’s by works, but it cannot be by both. And whenever a preacher tells you say by grace, But just in case you’ve added them together, causes confusion and that’s not the gospel. God is not the author DevOnline Confucius. So therefore, God is always very, very clear in what he says and what he means.

TheNitrome Number five, number five, Christ died only for those he knew would believe. False? Man alive. Look in 1 John chapter 2, 1 John chapter 2, very important for John chapter 2. Now some people think that Jesus died only for the sins of those people that he knew would believe or that he had chosen. So there’s no sins in dying for everybody and for everybody’s sins just to pay for the sins that he knew that would believe. Doesn’t that make sense?

they use logic instead of scripture. So you look there in verse two, in verse two of first John chapter two and verse two where he makes a statement and he is the propitiation for our sins. That word simply means he is the satisfaction. God is satisfied with the payment Christ made. And so he paid for that sin, so God is satisfied. But now look at the last part of the verse. And not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Now you’ll have some Calvinists try to tell you otherwise. They haven’t got a clue what the Scriptures really say when they go down that road. That’s the wrong road. That’s fake news. All five points of Calvinism is fake news. It’s not the truth. It is a lie based upon human reasoning. But it’s not what the Bible says. The Bible says that when Christ died, He died for all the sins of all the world. Number six, to be a genuine, real genuine believer, you must confess Christ before man to be saved.

Now listen, you know that the Bible says that we have to confess Christ before man. If you don’t confess me before man, I will not confess you before the Father. You deny me before man, I’ll deny you before the Father. So see there, you’ve got to confess Christ before man. And you’d be surprised how many independent, fundamental Bible, information, and everybody by this church is all over the world are preaching that, but you’ve got to do that. This is part of the reason why at the end of a service, we got to have you all stand And then we’re going to sing just as I am, 14 verses of it.

And we’re going to plead with you to come down here and confess Christ before man. Now, that sounds good, sounds spiritual. It’s just nowhere in the Bible. Every person that God called, He called them publicly. He did not. What they say that? The woman at the well was not called publicly. And neither was Nicodemus, he came at night, him alone. See, those things are not true. That’s just because you’re counting all your decisions. And if I’m gonna count decisions, how many decisions can we get this morning?

All of y’all that need prayer, I want you to come. Well, could be everybody, couldn’t it? We had a hundred decisions today. But see, I don’t give a forward invitation. But if we had a hundred people, I believe I had a hundred people making decisions. If I had 200 people, I had 200 people making decisions today because I believe everybody makes a decision every time I preach. Either agree with it or disagree with it, but they may want. But then that might be a little yankie-ology, but that’s okay.

Don’t you take your Bible because I want you to see this. Look in the book of Matthew chapter 10. Very quickly, Matthew chapter 10. And you’ll notice these verses that are mentioned. And you’ll notice what it says in verse 32. But verse 32 says, And who’s so ever there for shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But who’s so ever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

So you have to decide. Is he talking about going to heaven or is he talking about rewards? Remember, going to heaven is free. When we talk about rewards, it’s because of what I do. So if he’s asking me to do something, then it might be talking about service. He’s talking about just believe. He could be talking about salvation, just trust him. So here are we talking about how to go to heaven? Are we talking about service? He’s already talking to his disciples.

That’s mentioned in verse one of chapter 10. He’s talking about them going forth and preaching the gospel. See there, he’s telling them where to go, looking in verse seven. And as he goes, this is what I want you to do. Does this what we have to do to go to heaven? No. was not talking about how we get to heaven. And then you’ll notice that you also makes a statement down here about don’t be afraid of those that can kill you.

But now let me show you a simple thing. You’ll notice there in chapter 10, look what he says in verse 39. He that findeth his life shall lose it, and that loses his life for my sake shall find it. So he’s talking about your life, how you live. Now tell me how to get to heaven. Not go, no it’s this. He also makes the statement in verse 41, he that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward or salvation.

A reward, though we’re not in that salvation, tell them that reward. He’s sending forth his disciples and he’s telling them what they need to do and how they need to be found faithful and not be afraid. And if you’ll confess me before men, I’ll confess you before the Father. Or what? for the rewards. In other words, well done, thou good and faithful servant, God’s going to reward you for what you do for him. Next part of that verse 41, and he that receiveth a righteous man, the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

Verse 42, and whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones they cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple. The disciple. You don’t serve God as a disciple in order to go to heaven. But as a disciple, I’m barely asking you, he shall in no wise do what? Lose his what? Reward. So it’s talking about confessing Christ before man. God’s going to reward you. And if you’ll be obedient, God says, you’ll save your life.

In other words, this is what you were born for. This is why God saved you. This is why God left you here. And if you’ll be found faithful, God is going to… But if you don’t do it as a child of God, God is going to deny you rewards. Salvation is a gift. You don’t have to earn that. Rewards have to be earned. But see, if you take verses out of its content and try to make them say something, they don’t say that’s fake news.

It’s false. Look at the next statement. Number seven, whosoever is not a term that includes everyone, but rather is exclusive in nature. It refers only to those God has previously chosen to be saved. That is false. Because in 2 Peter chapter 3 and verse 9, he says, God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth, that everybody would come to repent is to believe the truth. So if God’s not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth, then I believe that verse speaks for itself.

He’s not willing that any should perish, and he wants all to believe the truth. That’s what God wants. So God says, going to all the world, I’m pleased to gospel to every creature because God so loved the world. And I I believe he meant exactly what he says. Turn your page over, number eight, number eight. The love of Christ is conditional. Jesus loves his children, but not the lost man. Ah, you think that’s false. If that’s false, then whoever says that must be teaching fake news.

And there’s a lot of people teaching fake news. In other words, it’s not the truth. In Luke chapter 19 verse 10, we don’t have to take a look at this one, but think about this for a moment. The Bible says concerning Jesus Christ, the Son of Men is come to seek and to save that which is lost. Well, if He only loves those that are saved, why is He seeking the lost? If He came in to seek and to save that which was lost, then that means everybody must have been lost and He loves everyone.

He has to love the lost in order to pay for their sins. And once you believe it, now he doesn’t love you anymore. No, God does love his children. But God still loves the lost. If he didn’t love the lost, why is he telling us, going to all the world and pay a price to reach the lost? Going to all the world. Why? If he doesn’t love him, but he does love him. God loves you and he loves you so much he’d rather die than live without you.

He loves you that much. Best news in all the world. Number nine, number nine. You can come to Jesus the way you are, but you cannot remain saved if you continue to live in the condition in which you came to Him. Well, don’t you know the Bible says that every man in Christ, he’s a new creature, a new creation. All things are passed away, and all things have become new. In other words, once you’re saved, you’re not gonna wanna do all those things anymore.

They could be a change in your life. See, all that sounds so good, but it is blind into people when they have to face reality. Every person in this room, when you trust in Christ as your Savior, you’re a growth in the Lord. You’re a love for the Lord. It was not automatic. It’s because you’ve walked and you stumbled, you’ve got up and you’ve learned to grow a little bit in the Lord, and you begin to apply the scriptures to your life and you learn how to walk, but that’s not to be saved and that wasn’t automatic.

And some of God’s children never learn to walk with the Lord. And so there’s people who become automatic fruit inspectors. They get out there magnifying glass and they’re examining everybody. Of course, they never examined themselves, they’re good enough. They see all of your sins, your bad things that you’re doing. Well, I know she’s not saved if she was saved, she wouldn’t do that. Well, she’s doing that. So if she didn’t do that, she wouldn’t be saved. So if the lost man was to do the same thing and not do that, he would be saved too.

Now, the only way you know in person is saved is you’ve got to find out what are you trusting in to get you to heaven? Did you trust the Lord? Now, look in Hebrews chapter 12 and verse 5. Hebrews chapter 12. And you’ll notice that there’s something that God does for His wonderful little darlings because He loves you so much. Your child has done all these bad things, and you get rid of whoopin’ and he says, what sins are you talking about?

Don’t remember them anymore. I’m gonna help you to recall every last one of them. After I knock you to the floor, but anyway, after you trust Christ as your Savior, I’ll somebody go over here. I really like to laugh at my jokes. But here in the book of Hebrews in chapter 12, look what he says in verse 5, and ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children. Not all of God’s children always remember everything you’re supposed to remember.

They don’t always recall what God’s Word says. One of the reasons in the testament God says in the Psalms, He says that the children of Israel will hook over and over and over again because they kept forgetting. You forgot, you forgot. But God remembers but you forgot. And so He says here, my son despised not thou the chastening of the Lord nor faint when thou art rebuked of him. Well wait a minute, well if you’re really saved, you’re not going to want to go out here and do all those bad things.

So you’re not going to be disobedient. So why would God have to chasten disobedient children if after they’re saved they’re not going to be disobedient. But evidently they are saved. And they are disobedient. And the heavenly Father does love His children. And so God is going to chasten you. Can you live as you please and get away with it? No. Can you live as you please? Yeah. You can be as rebellious as you want to be. And your heavenly Father will let you choose whatever sin you want to participate in.

And God will decide what kind of punishment He’s going to deliver. So you got a choice and God’s got a choice. Your heavenly Father who loves you is going to chasten you and discipline you because He loves you and you cannot live as you please and get away with it. You can try. But how can you win? If God’s Word says something, don’t you remember? Why would you forget something important like that? That’s one of the most important things to remember.

If I don’t do right, my daddy’s going to hook me. But if I love him and serve him and honor him, respect my father. He said he would bless my life. And he would reward me when I get to heaven. So what do you want? You want the blessings of God on your life? Rewards when you get to heaven? Or do you want me to beat the tar out of you? Why are you here? And maybe take you home before your time.

See, once you’re a child of God, you’re always a child of God. You can never be condemned in the future. But let’s keep moving along here. We’re doing very, very well. We’re moving right along.
